When dialing with a rotary phone on a US landline does it interrupt the dial tone and then send the pulses like it works in Europe? From the callers perspective where off the hook its a dial tone then when you dial line goes silent but you hear the dialing pulses. Need to know for a project I'm working on

The number of pulses sent for each digit is defined by the type of dial system in use. The encoding has traditionally varied by country, or by the manufacturer of the telephone system. For example, Sweden used one pulse to signal the number zero, and ten pulses to signal the number nine. In Finland, where many telephones were of Swedish manufacture, one pulse signaled digit 1, and ten pulses 0. New Zealand used ten pulses minus the number desired; so dialing the digit 7 produces three pulses. In Norway, the North American system with the digit 1 corresponding to one pulse was used, except for the capital city, Oslo, which used the same "inverse" system as in New Zealand. The sequencing of the digits on the dial varies accordingly.

for like their daily video mixing? they have expensive dedicated hardware video mixers for that

they have a much different need

however, there have been big news production companies that have utilized it for general purpose online streaming and possibly computer-related capturing

but they usually pipe their video mix through it and just use obs as a general encoding/streaming tool rather than a video mixing tool

the video mixing in obs (or at least the way its user interface is designed) is more for simple broadcasts in comparison and all users

although outside of news stations, there have been cases where obs has been used more thoroughly to create complex video mixes for broadcasts, especially tournaments or GDQ being cases where people build their toolchains around it to save on expensive video mixing equipment costs

Hey just ran into something this past week and was curious as to if anyone had some solutions. I am playing and streaming rust. To not expose the map I was trying to hotkey an overlay every time I clicked the button for map and when i release the button it would take off the overlay. The problem is the hotkey currently works as a single input so I would have to press once to cover map and once again to uncover map.
