What do you mean by let it start? That doesn't make any sense, it starts, and things are not loading, do I restart or keep it going? Will the elements eventually load? Can't start my stream if I don't know for 100% certain it's going to work. No alerts = very bad. It's the one reason I havn't moved to OBS yet.

Okay. So. I use streamlabs studio to stream directly from xbox.

When the destination is set to twitch I have no audio issues when I swap games other than a simple desync which I fix by unplugging and replugging my headset.

However when I set the destination to streamlabs and I swap games, the audio becomes choppy AF, robotic, laggy and like I'm talking into a fan. I did a test tonight and it's definitely because streamlabs was the source.

Does anyone know a fix for this because I'm genuinely just going to straight up stop using streamlabs all together and just do bare bones streaming at this rate.

That happened to me last week, I applied and was approved after 3 days. When that happens it gives me an error and everything stops there. In this instance everything goes through fine it's just an empty stream with no activity. I livestreamed on the PC last night and it was fine a couple thousand viewers came through. Hey, having an issue with Streamkit Overlay. Up until 2 weeks ago I had custom CSS that would show a custom PNG image for the user speaking

2 weeks ago the custom PNG stopped working. The streamkit overlay stuff seems to be broadly working, but it just randomly stopped overlaying the custom image. Anything I can do to fix it? A friend's reported the exact same code works fine for them on OBS, so this seems to just be a Streamlabs issue

Hey Slobs, during my stream I figured out that my sub counter was not working and it was working fine the last time I streamed. Checked out the Recent Event list and saw that none of the subs were showing that's why my counter was not triggered. Tested it with a sub from 2 days ago and it was working. Can you go into your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Advanced > Audio and change your audio monitoring device to "default"?

Then close Streamlabs Desktop, re-launch it as admin (right-click the desktop icon, run as admin)

Then go back into the same settings area and change your audio monitoring device back to the device you'd like to hear audio.

Hi, everytime I open streamlabs my audio on my bluetooth headphones stops working and I can't hear anything on the computer. How can I fix this? It's not that it doesn't capture my audio, the videos still have the audio that I would normally hear through my headphones but I myself can't hear anything

If your audio is muting when you launch Streamlabs Desktop and you're using a Bluetooth headset, it's caused by the underlying design of Bluetooth. Bluetooth headsets typically have two modes: stereo audio (A2DP) and headset (HFP - Hands-Free Profile). These two profiles have separate audio devices on the computer side.

When you have Streamlabs Desktop set to activate a Bluetooth headset's microphone, this will cause the headset to automatically switch to HFP mode, as A2DP is a lower priority. Your audio mutes because it is still being sent to the A2DP device instead of the HFP device.

To fix this, you either switch to a wired headset, don't use the Bluetooth headset's mic, or set your sound to go through the HFP device for your headset. Can you try disabling the mic within your Windows Audio Devices for your Bluetooth headset and check to see if this helps?

If your audio is muting when you launch Streamlabs Desktop and you're using a Bluetooth headset, it's caused by the underlying design of Bluetooth. Bluetooth headsets typically have two modes: stereo audio (A2DP) and headset (HFP - Hands-Free Profile). These two profiles have separate audio devices on the computer side.

When you have Streamlabs Desktop set to activate a Bluetooth headset's microphone, this will cause the headset to automatically switch to HFP mode, as A2DP is a lower priority. Your audio mutes because it is still being sent to the A2DP device instead of the HFP device.

To fix this, you either switch to a wired headset, don't use the Bluetooth headset's mic, or set your sound to go through the HFP device for your headset. Can you try disabling the mic within your Windows Audio Devices for your Bluetooth headset and check to see if this helps?

This guide is specific to Windows 11 but has many fixes that can apply to Windows 10 as well.

1. In Streamlabs Desktop, log out.
2. Reboot your PC.
3. Once the PC is back up, launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.
4. In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Video and swap the values at Output Resolution. For example, if the Output Resolution is 720x1280, set it to 1280x720.

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

This setting on the streamer's account doesn't matter.

So I want to start out with streaming, and one of the reasons I picked streamlabs was so I could pay for ultra and get multistream, However, no matter which payment method I use, it simply does not go through. I've got an international visa credit card, a paypal and an amazonpay account, and none of them go through. At first, I suspected that it might be that streamlabs simply does not have support for payments from india, but I don't think that's possible, considering it's a popular and well established service. Can someone help me on this, I'm tiered of my stream reconnecting all the time.
My stream bitrate drops to 0 kbps and disconnects frequently while using Multistreaming. It happens even with a high-end PC and stable fiber connection. Even when streamlabs is saying 0kb/s and trying to reconnect i run upload test and i have more than 800Mb of speed, I'm on Windows Build 26200 and using NVENC. Sometimes Twitch and TT reconnects but most of the times streamlabs stops working, and I can't end the stream, the only way is to close the app and start again..

If you need to disconnect your streaming service (like Twitch, YouTube, or others) from your Streamlabs account, please follow these clear steps:

1. Log out of Streamlabs.com (you can use this link to force a logout and any Streamlabs software such as Streamlabs Desktop (you can do so from the bottom left 👤)
2. Follow this guide to disconnect the specific streaming service from Streamlabs
3. Once you're done, please log back Streamlabs Desktop or streamlabs.com with the account disconnected

Note: If you are doing this step for fixing your alerts, you may need to reload your widgets. You can do this by going to your Live Actions Tab of the Recent Events > Scroll all the way and click Reload Widgets

I had an issue while streaming now, I got an alert with gift subs, it works and everything but it kept repeating and repeating itself in my headphone over and over again, people in the chat said they saw the alert once they didn't hear any alerts while I was hearing them, it's VERY FRUSTRATING. I deleted the browser source of streamlabs alert in my Obs studio and still got the issue
triggering a follow test alert got the alert sound to go away.

hi! I've had this issue for months now, my account had a glitch when i tried to stream off my phone and created a streamlabs ID. When this happened, it deleted all my original alerts for my PC streams. I contacted support and they reset/restored my theme/old alerts. But ever since then, my alerts no longer appear on my OBS Studio. They appear on when i do the test on the streamlabs website but not on my OBS Studio. I then decided to use Streamlabs OBS as that was the only place my alerts still worked. But starting this week they no longer work either and i haven't changed anything, plus i still prefer OBS Studio. Could anyone help me with this? I feel like ive tried everything with no luck. Thanks. My alerts work perfectly when i test them via KICK and they appear on my OBS studio.

Hello! I have submitted a ticket through the website, but maybe someone can help me here faster? My 2FA app doesn't work anymore, so I can't log into streamlabs. There is no other way to log in (unlike twitch for example, that allows to use SMS code in case 2FA doesn't work), so I am stuck. Sounds like you want different Alert Box sources for different alerts.

You can do this with multiple Browser Sources:

1. Go to the Alert Box page on the Streamlabs website: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
2. Click Filter Events. Uncheck everything except for Follow (for example).
3. Copy the Widget URL and add a Browser Source and paste in that URL.
4. Go back to the Filter Events button, uncheck Follow and check everything else.
5. Copy the Widget URL and add a new Browser Source (don't reuse the existing one 😉 ) and paste in that URL.
6. Viola!

Hi, I updated my streamlabs recently and all my mic filters are gone. Not sure if I can rollback or do anything to fix it because apparently it's supposed to be saved in the cloud through my streamlabs account, but I tried logging in and out multiple times and nothing seems to work. All my scenes are there and have all of my widgets/etc, but for whatever reason my mic filters are not.

I keep getting this message and I havn't been able to stream. It started as soon as i got the ultra subscription. I tried multistreaming(with Youtube), and that took out my Twitch stream. So I tried removing my youtube, and now i can't stream on twitch. Has anyone else faced this, and know how to help? This keeps popping up.

Hi everyone! I am currently trying to record a video with multiple audio tracks. I rechecked and tested a few times, it's in a mp4 format, I have the same tracks selected as recorded as the one assigned to the different things (game, mic) yet only get 1 audio track whenever I pop the file in my editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro CS6). It seems to only record track 1 as I tested and if that one isn't selected, no sound comes through. Which is not the greatest if I want to adjust audio cues on the fly and such.

@hollow yoke if you're on windows, i think you can install ffmpeg by typing winget install ffmpeg in cmd/powershell

a bit naive since it presumes you have 6 tracks, but it'll do (i'm also presuming premiere cs6 is able to import .wav)

once you have ffmpeg installed, you can drag and drop a video file on this .bat file to extract audio tracks from it
..i hope it behaves well with paths that have spaces and non-ASCII characters, i forgot to check that, let me check that

That's not a Streamlabs issue. You would need to reach out to YouTube but from what I can find, YouTube channel editors do not have the permission to go live on that channel.

Here's the things your able to do on that channel:

Can view all channel data
Can edit everything
Can upload and publish content
Can publish effects built on Effect Maker
Can manage live streams
Can delete drafts
Can chat or moderate chat within Live Control Room
Can create posts
Can comment
Can link Google Ads accounts
Can view and take actions in the Content detection tab

"Can upload and publish content" - meaning upload and publish videos, not live streams.

The "Generate my Stream Key" button on the Go Live panel opens a tiktok web page, but it does not contain the Server URL or the Stream Key. Is there some additional step necessary from there or is it supposed to open on the page with this information. I've been streaming for months without issue and when I tried yesterday I needed to enter the URL and key again.
Edit/update: If I click the Apply for TT Live Permission, it states Streamlabs is revoked. I've re-applied, however, it's under review.

A nonprofit I volunteer with relies heavily on hotkeys and they are not working as assigned. We did rebindings, I also switched them to other keys then back. I checked my work computer (where I record the school morning news) and tried to replicate it. The hotkeys are not behaving as expected there either. If we assigned the same key to show/hide and the image in two scenes, it’s not talking to both scenes.

Hello, I am reaching out because I'm having an issue fixing the super-saturated look from my el gato capture card (only on the stream side, normal TV screen looks good). Normally, I can go into the settings on that source to adjust things, but the normal options are not all there. I haven't changed any major overall stream settings, but it's been a few months since I've been able to stream. Looks like everything is updated to the most recent version. In Streamlabs Desktop, log out, wait a minute, log back in, wait a minute, go to Settings > Network, set the Bind to IP selection to Default, save the settings, and then try again to go live.

If you still have issues, go to Settings > Network, set the Bind to IP selection to the IP address for your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10, and then try again.

I am having some trouble trying to figure out how to use a new overlay but transfer alerts from the previous "Theme" to the new one. I can't see any way of doing this unless its done globally. That isn't the solution I need because I do not want the same alert box from the old theme just the settings for follow/subs/raids/bits etc. to be the same settings as the previous profile theme.

Is there a way to copy the Alerts from one theme and transfer them to another theme? Basically I don't want to have to remake all of the setup audio/images on the new theme.

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

Do you mean both the horizontal and vertical? As far as I know, Streamlabs doesn't have support, yet, for the Twitch Vertical format.

I'd reboot your PC and try again. There's not enough information there give you an exact answer as to why the recording failed to start. Could be the disk is full or the selected folder was deleted or renamed.

Hey i stream poker and i have an issue i havent been able to resolve through google etc. the TLDR is I need a way to lock window capture size on Streamlabs so it doesn't get bigger even if I increase the source's window size.

The longer explanation For example. If I play two poker tables, the tables cover half my screen each (the aspect ratio never changes). If I then play 8 tables. Then there are 4 tables on each half of my screen.  I then have to make the two widows I already had open smaller so I can fit 8 tables on my screen, when i do this, it also makes the window capture source smaller on stream, which is annoying because then I have to go in and resize each window capture source manually. Every time i change the table size. If i could lock the window capture size it would make everything so much easier.

I'm experiencing an audio issue while multistreaming with Streamlabs. When I stream on Twitch and TikTok at the same time, the overall stream audio is much louder on TikTok, whereas on Twitch it is very quiet (mic, game, music, etc.). I should mention that I never had this issue before. It started after I reset my PC..

You're running both the game and Streamlabs Desktop as administrator...

OR

You're running both the game and Streamlabs Desktop as normal (not administrator).

DON'T run one or the other as administrator.

Also make sure you've installed and started Streamlabs AI (Settings > AI).

hi, streamlabs is picking up BITS for alerts, but not subs or follows. we've disconnected and reconnected the streamlabs connection in twitch etc, but the recent events only shows the alerts for bits. any thoughts ?

the recent events is not filtered either. subs and follow alerts are enabled

When you 'reconnected', did you log in by clicking the Twitch button or by clicking the Streamlabs ID button?

If you need to disconnect your streaming service (like Twitch, YouTube, or others) from your Streamlabs account, please follow these clear steps:

1. Log out of Streamlabs.com (you can use this link to force a logout and any Streamlabs software such as Streamlabs Desktop (you can do so from the bottom left 👤)
2. Follow this guide to disconnect the specific streaming service from Streamlabs
3. Once you're done, please log back Streamlabs Desktop or streamlabs.com with the account disconnected

Note: If you are doing this step for fixing your alerts, you may need to reload your widgets. You can do this by going to your Live Actions Tab of the Recent Events > Scroll all the way and click Reload Widgets

In the properties of Game Capture, you are using Auto mode, there is an option to specify a custom placeholder. Just select the image you want to show instead.

I would quit Streamlabs Desktop, reboot your PC, download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer, run the installer as administrator, at the end of the installer, don’t let it launch Streamlabs Desktop, but rather quit the installer and reboot your PC again.

@marble wind My simple overlay looks like this but when the streamer I manage goes live the camera box and the game capture doesn't show anything just the white placement box I have moved then on the left side (not the game capture as this cannot be moved) to above and below but nothing changes there is no game play nor camera feed either way I position it on the left panel

I would love someone to go over the dashboard and sizes of assets for alerts to fit correctly etc.... so I can learn when I read the FAQ/Help page it doesn't really give me what I need or just a vague "Upload the image and it works" but it reality it does not

I would uninstall the Streamlabs Plugin using this guide https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-uninstall-streamlabs-for-obs-plugin. If you still gave issues with OBS studio crashing, seek assistance at the OBS Studio discord. I do know there recently was an update for on auto v32.x and perhaps the Streamlabs Plugin isn’t yet compatible with that new version.

I'm trying to find the best way for you to get an answer on that. The Volunteers here in Discord can't answer that as we're not Streamlabs employees.

If you're using Audio Capture source for the microphone, you would want to go to Settings > Audio and set the Microphone device to Disabled.

That decision belongs to TikTok alone. Streamlabs does not have any say on their decision. Streamlabs cannot see any part of that process.

Please create a new Scene Collection by clicking the down arrow next to the Scene Collection name, then click Manage Scene Collections, then click Start Fresh. In this new scene collection, in the default scene, just add a source and see if it's visible in the Source Selector.

If it is, then rebuild from scratch, your previous scene collection. Don't copy/paste. Once you're comfortable with the new scene collection, delete the old scene collection.

If this still is broken in the new Scene Collection, please reboot your PC. Once its back up, don't launch anything except your web browser. Download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer. Run the installer as administrator. At the end of the installer, don't let it launch Streamlabs Desktop. Rather, jsut quit the installer and reboot your PC again.

Once the PC is back up, see how it goes.

In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Advanced > Sources and uncheck Enable browser source hardware acceleration, save the settings, restart Streamlabs Desktop, and see how it goes.

If you're currently live, wait and do this once you end your stream.

Go to your Recent Events page https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents on the Streamlabs web site and check here to make sure that your alerts are not muted.

If that icon is red speaker with a slash, your alerts are muted. Click it to umute them.

Another thing to check is to make sure your Master Alert Volume is not too low, or zero.

Having multiple issues with the Streamlabs OBS Plugin:
-Most of the time when I open the Plugin on OBS, the window is blank.
-The Chat Box doesn't show up even when I have the right URL.
-The Alert Box doesn't seem to work, and when I test an event, it doesn't show up

Tried clearing my cached data on OBS and disabling and reenabling the plugin, but I'm still having these issues. Perhaps it has something to do with me running OBS Studio as an Administrator?

@compact garnet i made a typo, 32.1.0 is the newest version, i imagine streamlabs have yet to build their plugin against that version, so try an older version of obs-studio if you require the streamlabs plugins

So I need help, everytime I finish streaming and close OBS studio on my computer, it says that it has crashed but it only started doing this when I downloaded the Streamlabs plugin, is there anyway I can fix this issue? if so please let me know.

I would uninstall the Streamlabs Plugin using this guide https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-uninstall-streamlabs-for-obs-plugin. If you still gave issues with OBS studio crashing, seek assistance at the OBS Studio discord. I do know there recently was an update for OBS Studio to v32.x and perhaps the Streamlabs Plugin isn’t yet compatible with that new version.

Try clearing the Streamlabs Desktop cache.

1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
2. Reboot your PC.
3. Copy: %appdata% and then Press the Windows Key on your keyboard, Press CTRL + V then Press Enter. This will put you into your roaming folder, scroll down until you see " slobs-client ".
4. Rename it to " _slobs-client ".
5. Launch Streamlabs Desktop as Administrator.

Chat won't connect to twitch chat. I've made sure the accounts are connected. all it says is "error loading data."

If you are live, click the Refresh Chat button at the top of the chat dock.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, once you end your live stream, in Streamlabs Desktop, log out, wait a minute or two, and then log back in.
