If you're on a Windows PC, the global Desktop Audio (Settings > Audio) will pickup Apple Music. I just tried testing and was not able capture the audio out of Apple Music with the Application Audio Capture source.

If you're on a Mac, you might need Blackhole.

If you need to disconnect your streaming service (like Twitch, YouTube, or others) from your Streamlabs account, please follow these clear steps:

  1. Log out of Streamlabs.com (you can use this link to force a logout and any Streamlabs software such as Streamlabs Desktop (you can do so from the bottom left 👤)
  2. Follow this guide to disconnect the specific streaming service from Streamlabs
  3. Once you're done, please log back Streamlabs Desktop or streamlabs.com with the account disconnected

Went through the standard heartache of contacting TikTok as to why my live access was revoked if I had no restrictions or violations, even they saw I didn’t have any of that and mentioned it. My access review has been stuck on “wait one business day” since Monday. And all I got was also constant automated emails back before with no dire fix to help my issue at all.

  1. Make sure that Custom HTML/CSS is disabled.
  2. Make sure that the Browser Source for the Chatbox Widget is at the top of the Source list.
  3. In the properties of the Browser Source, click the Refresh cache of current page button and check the option Refresh browser when scene becomes active.

Also note that if you are streaming to YouTube, Chatbox Widget only works if your are Live with a Public stream; Private and Unlisted streams are not supported in Chatbox.

It should be working as far as I can tell. Next time you are live, paste the ChatBox Widget URL in a web browser and then type in your YouTube chat. It should appear in the Chatbox Widget and in the web page. Make sure you are live with a Public stream that is not for kids.

Only thing I can suggest is to remove all the browser sources for Streamlabs Widget from every scene they are in.

Then go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/api-settings, click API Tokens, then click Refresh.

Then follow these steps again

In Streamlabs Desktop, log out. Wait a minute or two. Quit Streamlabs Desktop. Wait a minute or two. Launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator, log back in by clicking the Twitch button; don’t click the Streamlabs ID button, and you should see the Twitch VOD Track option.

hello, I need support.
I am using Streamlabs Desktop on PC, and when I want connect my Twitch account, even if I previously disconnect any streamlabs on my twitch account, and do a new authorization, I receive a message:
This Twitch account is already linked to another Streamlabs ID Account. Please use a different account.
I read that it could be something in the back end of streamlabs to delete any twitch account previously connected ... but I am not sure...

Your friend will need to follow these steps:

Refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

Follow these steps in order, even if you already done any one of the steps before. Don't skip steps and don't perform them out of order. If you're unsure about any of the steps, don't assume anything, ask first before proceeding.

  1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

  2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

  3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

  4. If you use Streamlabs Desktop or Streamlabs Mobile, log out in those applications.

Hey everyone! Need help connecting to multistream via Streamlabs.

I tried the OBS plugin first and had the same issue where it said I dont have it configured, but I did, both when using OBS (copy pasted RTMP and link) and when trying to stream directly from Streamlabs desktop as well, made sure all my platforms were connected. I have used Streamlabs to multistream before so not too sure what I am doing wrong, and now I have paid for it so dont want to have to use an alternative, can anyone help? 🥹

And I was advised to uninstall the entire software and reinstall it, but that didn't do much.

Hi all! I have a very frustrating bug where, (only sometimes for some reason) my stream recording via Streamlabs freezes after ending the stream or ending the recording and it never stops freezing. There's a endless loading animation in the red recording button and the recording is never being generated. This ist very frustrating as I sometimes record for 3-4 hours knowin that my recording is active but there's no output at the end. Sometimes it works for no reason. Just paid $27 for premium version to multi-stream to YouTube, Kick, and Twitch. It did not work and I was only able to stream to YouTube last night and missed out on potential growth on the other two platforms. Today I plan to stream again and I need this to go to all 3, but the stream just won't start when I have the other two selected. It only starts if I only have YouTube ticked and the other two unticked.

My streamlabels for new dono and new subs do not work, i have tried reinstalling, signing out and back in, signing out of twitch and reconnecting it, etc and nothing changes. My new follower label works just fine. And i understand without recent events it won’t show, however! It doesn’t show with the testing and i had a recent sub when i tried to figure this issue out before and it didn’t show then either.

Is there an easy way to get desktop audio to play through stream on Mac OS? I downloaded Blackhole and followed the instructions from the streamlabs "capturing desktop audio in streamlabs desktop for mac" post and I am not having any luck. I've been at this for like a week now 😭

Good morning y'all. I'm a tech/media leader at my local church. We've got a modern PC with Thunderbolt ports on it that I'd like to add an external GPU to. Anyone got a good modest one they'd recommend that might work with Linux? I'm leaning towards AMD. This would be specifically to do up to 4k60 video encoding as we plan to move from 1080p60. The Mini-PC we have is a Geekom GT1-Mega running LM22.2 with kernel 6.14.xx Been a Streamlabs Ultra subscriber a couple years now and hoping there's a bunch of very tech knowledgeable gamers here. if you have a second display, you could use a fullscreen projector to view your entire canvas with overlays, or any scene; this is also possible with a HDMI dummy plug but super awkward to operate

@spark estuary the question here is how to overlay arbitrary sources on the desktop, and the answer is that it's possible but very difficult and very awkward to operate
the idea would be to capture the display in a new scene, add sources that need to function as overlays, then use fullscreen projector to project to that display, but also either..
a) hide the projector itself from screen capture and to make its window click-through
or b) use a HDMI dummy plug to function as "display 1" and project onto your real display as "display 2"
i know the full steps required for both, and i tried both

@spark estuary also, re: your question, i don't know much about thunderbolt and eGPU enclosures, the main requirement for 4k60 would be that there's enough bandwidth for everything you're trying to do - normally with obs-studio you don't have to worry about pci-e bandwidth since you're on a desktop with full 16 lanes of pci-e 4.0 or 5.0, but eGPU boxes are often 4 lanes or less, and might also be pci-e 3.0, so if you have, say, too many window capture sources, that could be a problem

Thank you. I'd just like the external GPU to be for encoding the 4k60 video stream. I'd think 4 lanes worth would handle that if that is it's only task. The PC and integrated GPU are about maxed out with four 4k60 displays and encoding 1080p60. It doen't encode 1080p60 very well on the integrated graphics if I lock it down to that, so right now I'm just on x264 software encoding. Low CPU usage at that but I'd hate to try an make it do 4k anything on the cpu.

@spark estuary this also depends on which devices do what; if you want to compose on the CPU's intergrated graphics, then send off the composed image to the AMD card's hardware encoder, the pci-e bus usage is only for sending frames between graphics cards, which is relatively insignificant and should perform well, but if you choose to use this eGPU as the main GPU for everything, I/O load will increase, and i don't know how to measure "will this be fast enough?" without buying and trying

@desert briar run this script, in obs-studio go to settings>general and enable "hide obs windows from screen capture", then right-click the newly-created scene and choose "Fullscreen projector" or "Open scene projector", choose your display
after that, press win+W; if done correctly, you should be able to operate the PC as usual, but the overlay will be visible on your own screen
unfortunately, games would have to be played windowed or borderless, not fullscreen

@spark estuary in a desktop PC, recent AMD cards (rx 6600 and newer) are capable of this much throughput, at least on the "balanced" preset (this doesn't matter too much for your youtube upload, you can reduce preset to "speed" without significant change in image quality (at higher bit rates, chances to encoder settings have less visible effects)
i still don't have a useful answer for "will the eGPU enclosure behave well", so either ask somewhere else or rely on the store's return window to try it out;
you don't have to be streaming to benchmark performance, recording with the "(use stream encoder)" encoder will also work

In Streamlabs Desktop, please log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

Then go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP.

If the drop-down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop-down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10.

After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

Ouch, there's definitely an issue between you and Twitch.

Not guaranteed, but you can try this:

  1. Shutdown your computer
  2. Pull the power cable from your cable modem and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes
  3. Plug the power back into the cable modem and let it fully come up
  4. Power on your computer and run the Twitch Test again.

I used streamlabs back then in 2021. and it's been logged in my computer til yesterday (i logged it off)
back then, i logged in via facebook. but my facebook disabled permanently because of some reason, and i dont have the access to it anymore.
Yesterday, i want to try to stream again, so i linked my twitch account to my streamlabs account, I was not aware it was logged in via facebook, then after i realized, i logged my streamlabs off. And then I proceed to create a new streamlabs ID, then when i was trying to link my twitch, its says that my twitch account already link to another streamlabs account. I tried many times to unlink through twitch. It shows that nothing is linked anymore. But everytime I try to link it my streamlabs, it always say it's already linked to other streamlabs account.

can anybody help me?

That means exactly what it say. You Twitch channel is already linked to a Streamlabs account. Sounds like you've created a new Streamlabs account and want to merge your Twitch channel there.

What you need to do...

  • Log out of the Streamlabs website by clicking your profile picture and choose Logout
  • Log in the Streamlabs web site by clicking the Twitch button
  • Unmerge your Twitch channel here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/slIDSettingsPage
  • If your Twitch channel won't unmerge, you would need to create a Streamlabs ID for that account, using a completely different email address
  • Log out of the Streamlabs web site, log in with that new Streamlabs ID
  • Unmerge your Twitch channel
  • Log out of the Streamlabs web site
  • Log in the Streamlabs web site with your new Streamlabs ID (the one you created in your post above)
  • Merge your Twitch channel

Hello, I have a weird problem with streamlabs. I get nonstop ingame connection issues/ package loss in Battlefield 6 when I have streamlabs just open (not streaming or recording). If I close the program the problems disappear. Its only connection issues, not performance. It makes no sense...
Someone has an idea? Would love to stream, but if there are problems even with only having streamlabs open - I don't even need to try to turn on the stream.

Dont have that issue in other games so far. Internet is also good and stable.

I’m having issues with my capture card on streamlabs. For YouTube Subscription alerts...

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

hi ive been having trouble with my recordings on streamlabs obs and for some reason they dont save. i set the file path to where i want the recording to got to and it doesnt show up. ive done test recordings where i record for a few minutes and they show up show up which is mad, but when i stream for 2 hours and i also have the recording going at the same time it just doesnt save to my pc

So for the past week or so SL has become noticeably slower to both start up and go live , with it taking about 5+ minutes just to open and about the same to go live, usually this would only take a few seconds, I’ve done a clean reinstall and the only difference I’ve made to my computer is a new keyboard, my specs are a Ryzen 5 5700X , 32GB RAM and an RTX 4060 Ti, so performance can’t be the problem

Hello, I have connected my Throne account to my Streamlabs Alert Box, but I don't see anywhere I can customize those alerts on Throne nor Streamlabs dashboard. At most I see it as a connected app under Settings > Oauth Clients. I mostly just want to change the sound effect and font.

I also am looking for having ko-fi donations go directly to my streamlabs alerts instead of ko-fi's separate alert box, since i dont want the extra space to be taken up on my stream layout. From what I can tell the only way to go about this is more advanced and technical, possibly involving Webhooks?

I’ve been using OBS for streaming using their multi output plug in. When I added the Streamlabs plug in it will not go live at all. I keep getting an error that it wasn’t able to go live. I downloaded the Streamlabs desktop app and when I launch it all I get is a grey screen. I’m trying to multistream and would like to try Streamlabs instead of just OBS. Console user here dual streaming to twitch and tiktok, I seem to be having an issue with getting my feed to tiktok. I have been granted live studio access for myself and for streamlabs on my behalf as well. Stream labs is activating my account to go live, my overlays are appearing on tiktok live but for some reason the feed is missing while at the same time the twitch side is running fine. Sounds like you want different Alert Box sources for different alerts.

You can do this with multiple Browser Sources:

  1. Go to the Alert Box page on the Streamlabs website: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
  2. Click Filter Events. Uncheck everything except for Follow.
  3. Copy the Widget URL and add a Browser Source and paste in that URL.
  4. Go back to the Filter Events button, uncheck Follow and check everything else.
  5. Copy the Widget URL and add a new Browser Source (don't reuse the existing one 😉 ) and paste in that URL.

I'm having the same issue with Streamlabs not capturing any game audio from the "Game Capture selection. Streamlabs will only pick up the audio only if the game window is in the forefront of the desktop. When the game is running in the background, the audio goes silent. I've tried everything from adjusting the settings in the Streamlabs app to my settings in Windows 11 but nothing has worked. I tried using Grok AI to help mee out and that did not work either. I even put in a ticket from the stream labs website also. I have yet to get a message back. I could use some help.

Hello! For some reason I am unable to stream from my phone to YouTube using the screencast option anymore. When I click go live it just schedules it as an upcoming live for the exact time I hit Go Live. This has been happening for 3 days. I have deleted the app and reinstalled and it’s still happening. I saw a few posts in here but didn't really see a definite answer unless there isn't one. i recently started using the reactive overlay for kill and death counter and realize they aren't resetting to 0 after each session/stream. Is there any way to fix this or is it just bugged atm? thanks.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
  2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
  4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
  5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs.

Hello, Ive had a problem to where my display capture device is feeding into my mic audio. So whenever i share my screen, whatever audio is on my screen is going through the mic audio. While using OBS software i turned off downmix audio under my mic audio and it fixed. Although now in streamlabs when I turn off downmix audio, nothing changes. Help is much appreciated!

That means YouTube isn't receiving data from your in a timely fashion. YouTube will support a bitrate of up to 51000. Increase your bitrate by 2000 and see how it goes. You might have to stop and restart your stream to do that. Just don't go over 75% of your load bandwidth.

Been attempting to stream portrait on the streamlabs Android app. Each time the stream shows landscape with a portrait view. There is nothing to change for it to output as portrait.

Orientation locked to portrait, portrait scene selected etc however it's still outputting as landscape, is this bugged?

If you're using Game Capture, that won't work as a few years ago Roblox implemented an anti-cheat feature which broke Game Capture's ability to hook into the game.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead:

add a new Window Capture source
select Roblox from the window list
change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

On Windows 10, you will see a yellow border around the game which cannot be disabled. This is not visible in your stream and can be ignored.

Also if you login with Youtube, it doesn't allow you to login to anymore platforms such as your Streamlabs ID. So you would need to log-out and then log back in with streamlabs ID

Any body in here that uses Stream Labels? I've been having this issue for a while and I would really like to get it fixed. I have already contacted Streamlabs support directly, and they were never able to resolve the problem. Stream Labels only updates every 10 YouTube subscribers, and Facebook won't start from our actual follower count. Anybody else run into this issue with Stream Labels? Hi there! I have been having a huge problem with my streamlabs where I cannot stream at all currently. I am in a loop of when I get the option to "Go Live" I can click the button, then it tells me I currently am live from another device and I can switch to Streamlabs Desktop (I am not currently live elsewhere btw). I either can click switch to Streamlabs Desktop or Cancel. If I cancel I can only claim stream again. If I click switch to, it tells me that I am taking over but get the error that I am not live. I can end live finally but then get the same process. Can anyone help?

Hi! I recently streamed two different sessions with streamlabs mobile, to youtube. the first stream saved the VOD to youtube, but the second stream when i went to end the session gave me error 403. i tried changing the name of the stream, and even the privacy, but the only way it would end is when i unchecked end live session. now that 1 hour VOD is nowhere to be found. help? 🙁 did it get deleted and is gone forever, because it's not showing on my youtube (but the name i tried to change it to, is the 1st VOD that saved which is odd?)

every time I try to use game capture it shows a black screen on Capture Specific window etc and when I change it to Auto is just doesnt do anything. Is there a way to fix this? This happened after the latest update

Have you applied for and been granted Live with Streamlabs?

Live with Studio is a completely separate permission and doesn’t automatically grant any other permission.

If you are wanting to stream to TikTok from Streamlabs Console, you need to apply for access.

I'm not what you would call "Tech Savvy", so it might be somthing simple, but Any idea why my Streamlabs isnt being picked up by the streamdeck? It keeps saying "Streamlabs is not running" and it cant fetch any scenes. I had the issue start awhile back and someone told me to just wait for an update, but there's been a couple updates since then and still no change.

Hi, I have an issue I couldn't figure out via googling or "self help center". Often when streaming to Twitch, I pull up discord, or Twitch stream manager, among other things, over-top of my Streamlabs desktop app.
It appears that whenever I have Streamlabs either shrunk or covered, my Twitch sound alerts extension, Viewer Attack extension, and even my Streamlabs follow alerts, all have incredibly laggy and distorted audio. But full screening Streamlabs caused them all to work again. Any advice? Thanks.
P.S. issues are all only audio-alert related, notifs appear on screen, game works fine, audio for game and my voice are fine...

I'm using stramlbas console. I set up my scenes to have my game capture cover the whole screen like a normal stream. however when I go to my twitch it only show the gameplay in the top left corner.

hello, I have problem with streamlab desktop app, it doesn't want to work, only loading screen, it starts with white rectangle screen and then infinity loading screen, is anyone have this problem too? (I've already restarted the PC and reload/reinstalled the app)

Hello, I have access to the Dual Format Streaming on Twitch beta, but I can't use both formats on Twitch within Streamlabs Desktop. It only lets me use YouTube. I already have the latest version of the software installed, but it doesn't give me the option. How can I fix this? Thanks.
