I paid for Streamlabs Ultra, and need help:

I use OBS Studio and have been trying to get twitch notifications to work properly. I fixed firewall issues, checked for theme issues, made sure there is no delay on notifications, the works. One time I got notifications to work, only for them to break 15 mins later.

If I load a separate Chrome window with the same exact URL, it works there, but not in the OBS browser.

Out of frustration, I set up OWN3D for notifications, swapped the URL on my OBS browser, and it instantly worked, without issue. I don't want to have to use OWN3D, I prefer to keep everything on streamlabs, but I don't know what to do anymore.

Oh yeah, that happened to me once. Freaked me out too. I'm guessing when that happens, it can't access the slobs-client folder (where the settings are located) and so acts like a fresh install.

On that note, I had to rename my slobs-client to _slobs-client to try to fix an issue I was having (without luck). There shouldn't be any problem with renaming that to slobs-client again to restore my settings, right? Does anyone have experience backing up and restoring this folder?

I have been using an elgato capture card to record my clashroyale gameplay from my iPad. Has been working great for weeks then randomly a few days ago my capture card no longer picks up the audio from the iPad just the picture, any ideas? Thanks

if you have important data on your pc, make backups, if you have important accounts, enable 2fa for them, everything else can be fixed with some effort

It’s meant to capture whatever application happens to be opened on that window at the time. Whereas game capture our screen capture is meant to record everything that happens.

That kind of attack is called typo squatting, it is a lot more common than you would expect, and you have some good reason to be cautious. As long as you do your diligence, you double check or verify the official address, then you have nothing to worry about.

Hello everyone, I wanted to start fresh with Streamlabs Console and I have a question right away:
I read in the post that I can only use an Xbox headset that is plugged directly into the controller. At the moment I am using the Astro A50X, which is connected via USB to the Xbox. Does that mean the microphone from it will not work in the stream through Streamlabs Console?

If you're going to be capturing a game, for best performance use Game Capture. There are a few games, like Roblox, that can't be captured with Game Capture. For Roblox, use Window Capture.

game capture is the preferred method, but some games intentionally block it, so it's not always available
window capture only works with windowed and borderless games, not with fullscreen games
display capture should work always

I was here 2 days ago with an alert not showing issue and I was able to fix it by disabling the custom htlm/css feature because it was the root cause. Prior to that we legit tried everything to no evade so the fact taht its not working again is a little worrying considering that that html thing is disabled this time around ive been sitting for 40 mins tryna figure out why alerts not working again.

Which ever device your using for audio. I'd suggest your headset so that that audio isn't picked up by your microphone.

Don't launch any software.
Download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer.
Run the installer as administrator and let it install over your existing installation.
At the end of the installer, don't let it launch Streamlabs Desktop but rather quit the installer.
Reboot your PC again.

Sounds like you want different Alert Box sources for different alerts.

1. Go to the Alert Box page on the Streamlabs website: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
2. Click Filter Events. Uncheck everything except for Follow.
3. Copy the Widget URL and add a Browser Source and paste in that URL.
4. Go back to the Filter Events button, uncheck Follow and check everything else.
5. Copy the Widget URL and add a new Browser Source (don't reuse the existing one 😉 ) and paste in that URL.
6. Viola!

YouTube does this automatically. You'd can't disable that. You can go into your YouTube Studio and set them not to be published on your channel; they will be private.

Hey @gritty isle how's it going! I just started streaming on KICK and I have a few questions about how KICK alerts through streamlabs.

• In the dashboard, under the alert box, I only see subscriptions & follows... I don't see kicks (which is kick's version of twitch bits). Is it because kicks are brand new and haven't made it's way into streamlabs yet?

• KICK doesn't allow me to stream in 1440p like I was with twitch and youtube. If I kept the base (canvas) resolution at 1440p, and the output (scaled) resolution at 1920x1080, would this make the image more sharp or less sharp?

You mean this is scene is only for YouTube and this scene is only for Twitch but you're live on both platforms? If that, then that is not possible.

If you just started on Kick, they will limit you to 1280x720 with a bitrate of 3500. The only alerts we have for Kick are those shown in the Alert Box Widget.

There's no way for a starting streamer to use 1440p on Kick.

That means the Twitch channel you are trying to link there is already connected to another Streamlabs account. You would have to log in to that account with the associated Streamlabs ID and unmerge it there before you can use it in Streamlabs Console.

In Streamlabs Desktop, please log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

Then go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP.

If the drop-down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop-down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10.

After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

Resolved it. The configured save path was not detected by Streamlabs. Updated the save path to a valid location and it works now. Quite a misleading error for that type of issue.

it's easy to blame streaming software as that's what gives you error messages, especially since everything else seems to be working correctly at the same time, but the issue here is that live streaming is both high-bandwidth and time-critical, most internet workloads are one but not both

YouTube doesn't allow Streamlabs to send chat messages from the embedded chat dock, sadly. You'll have to send messages like you have been doing.

Very recently when I go live the button will go from starting, to end stream (like usual), but then it will say reconnecting and go between reconnecting and end stream over and over.
Any Idea how I could trouble shoot this? As far as I'm aware I haven't tweaked any setting recently that could have caused this except for video/recording related settings, neither any general PC changes I made recently that could have interfered with streamlabs (to my knowledge). This seems to be something that came about since the latest update perhaps but I don't know how I might go about rolling back the build version or if this is even the cause of the issue.

Hi I’ve been experiencing severe dropped frames while streaming with Streamlabs OBS, and I need assistance diagnosing the problem!

Dropped frames start low (~3%) at the beginning of a stream but gradually increase to 30–55%. Network: 20 Mbps upload, 81 Mbps download (confirmed via Ookla speed tests).

Tested different bitrates (4000 → 6000 Kbps). Occurs even at low resolution (720p), low FPS, and low bitrate. CPU usage: ~50–60% while streaming at 1080p60. GPU usage: ~50% during streaming. I've switched Twitch server from Auto to US West and it reduces dropped frames initially, but they increase once gameplay begins.

It occurs on both Streamlabs OBS and standard OBS. Disabled Dynamic Bitrate. I've tried different encoders: NVIDIA NVENC (new), NVENC (old), x264. Verified monitor is plugged into GPU, changed refresh rates, turned off HDR. Updated NVIDIA graphics drivers. Switched Ethernet cables and ports; verified wired connection. Tested streaming via Discord (720p) — no dropped frames.

I have had the same issue twice where I schedule a stream in Streamlabs, streaming to YouTube, X and and RTSP. My main streaming platform is Youtube and it keeps only streaming to X. The scheduled live shows on youTube but when I go live it goes live on X, nothing goes the the RTSP and the YT live still shows that the live hasn't started yet on YT. I have Ultra.

Is there an issue with stream labs not picking up subs at the moment?

They are not showing in the feed nor do they trigger, well probably because of the latter.

Nope my friend on Twitch and she is for years already. We can't find subs in her streamlabs feed anymore and in consequences no alerts or labels are triggered and updated respectively.

Your friend will need to follow these steps:

Refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

Follow these steps in order, even if you already done any one of the steps before. Don't skip steps and don't perform them out of order. If you're unsure about any of the steps, don't assume anything, ask first before proceeding.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. If you use Streamlabs Desktop or Streamlabs Mobile, log out in those applications.

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. ** It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time. **

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. ** PLEASE Don't skip this step! **

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

There can be weeks or sometimes months that I don't pay for Xbox Games Pass. I didn't realise that to stream from Xbox I needed to have a valid Gamespass and since 90% of my gameplay is on PC I only sometimes renew my gamespass I quite frankly I don't believe that we gamers should have to pay to play solo, multiplayer games that we have already paid for. Hey guys I just got started with streaming and streamlabs, however I am running into an audio issue where any recording or stream doesn't have any audio from my elgato to my ps5 or my microphone sounds being heard. Visuals are perfectly fine just cant do any audio

I can tell there's no audio because my friends cant hear me on my stream and the mixer audio bar isnt moving. Plus when i start recording or streaming the streamlabs says "Your microphone is unmuted but there is no signal" I looked this up and it told me to change my audio input and output in my settings yet that never changed anything.

I just bought a NEW Elgato, New PC, a new headset, a new monitor, a new stream link for my friends to be heard on gamechat, yet the audio is still not working

If anyone can help me, I wont forget you as I become the next Kai Cenat/ IAMSPEED

@quasi sundial troubleshooting this can be tricky if you don't have a point of reference for how things "should" work
try connecting the capture card's HDMI input to your PC's HDMI output (if you have one free on your graphics card), see if you're able to capture audio this way

I am currently having issues with my alert boxes not appearing. I logged out of Twitch and Streamlabs and reconnected it. All my alerts and feed was not showing up. I reset the alert box settings. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop app and still having issues. All my follows went to Twitch but not Streamlabs. Despite all of that whenever I got a alert on Twitch it did not go through on Streamlabs dashboard nor did it work on the desktop app neither. When I tested the alerts on the website dashboard it came through on the Streamlabs app and website. Which means I am getting feedback from Streamlabs website when I test desktop app. This means there is a disconnection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

Your friend will need to follow these steps:

Refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

Follow these steps in order, even if you already done any one of the steps before. Don't skip steps and don't perform them out of order. If you're unsure about any of the steps, don't assume anything, ask first before proceeding.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. If you use Streamlabs Desktop or Streamlabs Mobile, log out in those applications.

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. ** It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time. **

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. ** PLEASE Don't skip this step! **

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

Hello Support, I have an issue with Streamlabs, when I try to record a game I play, the moment I finish and click stop recording, the counter starts again from the beginning and keeps loading as the below screenshot. If I just close streamlabs, the recording's sound breaks, and video is delayed. Same happens when I try to stream. This happens only when I record or stream heavy games. I changed all settings/lowered resolution and FPS but issue still the same. Can you please advise how can I fix this? Thank you in advance.

Valve has implemented a Trusted mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS2 using Game Capture. Read more in their announcement post https://blog.counter-strike.net/2022/09/39497/. Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in Trusted mode.

We recommend running the game in either windowed or borderless fullscreen and using a Window Capture source instead.

Alternately, you can launch the game with -allow_third_party_software .

This might help:

First, please delete your game capture source and quit Streamlabs Desktop.

Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder.

Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted.

Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator.

Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

Honestly I recommend nobody use Streamlabs, it’s always not working for something.
I’ve done multiple things over the week to try and fix it and followed all guides online and it just doesn’t work.
Subscription is getting damn cancelled.

Widgets don’t work properly, alerts don’t work properly, my multi streaming chats don’t work, the app crashes ending my stream when I’m mid streaming, the whole app turns black or white when I’m steaming.
It’s absolutely awful.

I don't have Mac so I can't easily assist with that. If you're streaming or recording content on you Mac, you should be able to hear that locally.

Now if you are asking about the Media Source, that audio is played on stream but not locally. To hear those sources locally, you would need to change the Audio Monitoring to Monitor & Output.

tried that and it didnt work. now however, i did start up my computer earlier and the audio suddenly worked without me doing different than I remember doing besides just opening it. now i thought a pc or ps5 reboot did the trick but I eneded up running into the same issue again after my ps5 was left running on while it was recording. so back to no audio on the rec or stream just visuals again. 1: My stream delay does not work, turned it on/off, restarted streamlabs, adjusted time, doesn't work. Streaming to twitch.

I have been having problems with dual streaming. I can stream to twitch alone, but when dual output is activated, TikTok gets the vertical but twitch doesn't recieve the horizontal... I tried a whole bunch of things, and have reseted the computer 5 times this weekend trying to get it to work

Is your Bitrate too high for Twitch? Twitch maxes out at 6000, and I believe TikTok allows higher. Over 6k and it won’t broadcast on Twitch.

All you have to do is login with one of the accounts you have merged in your Streamlabs account and your scenes and sources will be downloaded. That doesn't include the actual image or media files so you'll have to bring a copy of those along with you and make sure they are in the same path.

Also the settings, desktop audio, microphone, output resolution, encoder, bitrate, etc are not saved in the cloud so you'd have to set those manually.

You connection to the Twitch ingests isn't that great. You can try the Sydney (20) ingest and see how it goes. You should probably reach out to your Internet Service Provider and tell them you're trying to stream to Twitch and the connection isn't stable.

You would need to set that part up through OBS if you use the plugin. Plugin supports multistreaming, but not dual output.

Hello, I downloaded the label software to display the most recent follower on Twitch.

But it doesn't take into account the most recent followers; it only displays the flowers on a username.

How can I automatically display the most recent flowers?

Your friend will need to follow these steps:

Refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

Follow these steps in order, even if you already done any one of the steps before. Don't skip steps and don't perform them out of order. If you're unsure about any of the steps, don't assume anything, ask first before proceeding.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. If you use Streamlabs Desktop or Streamlabs Mobile, log out in those applications.

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. ** It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time. **

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. ** PLEASE Don't skip this step! **

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.
