New streamlabs user here. Having an issue when multistreaming. On kick and Twitch the stream shows in full size but on tiktok and youtube it's a tiny screen about 1/9 the size it should be. When viewing my stream via youtube on a phone it only shows in portrait mode and won't get bigger when you rotate the phone. Same with tiktok. Can anyone help me out? Akimboslicecod on all platforms. Hi All! Question; I was streaming to tkitok via streamlabs, ended my stream and went to go live a couple hours later and I got an errorvia streamlabs: "Tiktok Live access not granted" and there is a a "Reapply" button and when I click it, it goes to tiktok and I get another error message "Access not approves or revoked". Not sure how that could happen as I have never been revoked from tiktok or tiktok live. i can still go live natively from tiktok. Thoughts on how to get passed this or a workaround?

Hey I am having an issue with my stream where I get constant dropped frames when I multistream to Youtube and twitch. The stream seems to be working fine but eventually it will be 2 minutes delayed and I will continue to have dropped frames. I changed nothing since last streaming but the last 3 times all accuring during the month of july and now August have had issues, I tried working some setting changes incase they were reset but nothing is working and I am confused.

Hi, all! I'm getting a "mic is unmuted but outputting no signal" notification. I have never had this issue until it updated a week or so ago. My mic is fine, everything works, even test recordings I hear my voice. It's only when I go to stream, my mic gets muted. I tried all the steps Google suggested save for clearing the cache (I REALLY don't want to do that). So, I can't figure this out at all...

NEVERMIND! It seems the alert is a red herring. The mic still works on stream. For anyone who has the issue, too, do a test stream to make sure you can hear your voice on stream, and if you can, just ignore the alert!

This is going to sound stupid, like first step with tech support over the phone stupid... But have you tried unplugging and plugging your mic back into your pc jack? Out of desperation I tried that and test streamed and my mic was fine. But SLOBS was running when I did it. Maybe forcing it to swap inputs by unplugging it could help? Yeah, it's stupid, but you never know, right?

I have an issue where my mic gets distorted after 5 hours of streaming so I have to restart my soundcard. I never had that issue before but it seems common with focusrite users and streamlabs. When I was using OBS Studio I never had this issue but I also used Streamlabs early in my streaming career and I didn't have the issue either so it's definitely something that came over time, streamlabs issue, windows being an ass issue or just sloppy focusrite drivers, it's hard to say. No one seem to take responsibility for some issues either and it just becomes one of these things you have to accept which sucks.

You can try logging into streamlabs with tiktok and then logout and log back in with twitch, that could resolve it. You can try unmerge your tiktok account and then merging it again on your dashboard.

I am having the same microphone troubles as the person in the message linked below. With the new update, I see activity on the microphone and can monitor fine, but the recording won’t pick it up. I did a stupid work around for a voice only recording where I muted my headphones and output monitoring to the pc and recorded that. By default access to the loyalty API seems to be disabled. Presumably I need to get the application approved before using it. But approval hinges on providing something that the team can test. But it can't really be tested to any meaningful degree until it gets access to the loyalty points API. So how is that supposed to work ?

Streamlabs auto updates when first started, so it would just update any prior version unless you disconnected from the interenet prior to opening streamlabs. Which is great in theory....until you accidently forget...lol

At the start of the day I enable my two-factor verification on twitch so when I ended up screaming I had it a problem, my stream Labs OBS plug-in didn't really register so I went over there and resigned in now. My recent follower text did not update as well as my alerts won't showing up

Hey, I have added the widget to show when I get a new follower. I can see the text, resize etc., but when I tried to add one for new subs or new donation, it creates this thin, long bar. When I tried to resize it, it just gets bigger and no text shows up. Then, when I delete it and try to redo it (thinking it would help), the new follower widget disappears and acts like the new sub widget. It has a thin line that gets bigger when I resize it and the text disappears.

Hmm, I just set my game capture source to an idler I had open and it captures and records fine. Helpers will probably need to have a better understanding of your problem. The more detail about what settings you have on/off the better.

That’s the physical webcam light. Best to check with the manufacturer to see. If you can’t, some electrical tape works great, or they make actual nicer things to block webcam lights with a physical device.

-The last place you streamed was not Twitch.
-The last place you streamed was through our multistreaming or another restreaming service.
-You just logged in with Twitch and have not yet streamed.

Rufus, you seem like the only person helping, I thank you for that, I did have a question, is it possible to separate recording and streaming and vod audio tracks? So when I’m streaming the stream hears everything that’s happening, when it goes to the vod, only the mic, game, and browser go into the vod, but not the chatbots music, and when I’m recording can ONLY the mic + game be picked up, so I can watch youtube as well during some of the downtimes of the recording?

Sorry for the long ass message, just when I tried to do this on my own I select audio tracks recording can go to then in the mixer it’s the next number in the sequence

Youtube subscriptions are private by default, this is controlled by the person subscribing, not you, and re-subscriptions will not trigger alerts.

After the update to 1.19.1 i'm getting a bunch of frame skips and drops on games that i played 2 weeks ago that ran and streamed perfectly fine. Still have videos up to compare but if i try to stream them now even on low settings i get stutters, lag, temporary disconnection. This only started after the update as well. Also had it where what i was seeing on the screen was different from what was being streamed. I was streaming one game that had snow in it and on the twitch stream it was showing up there as polygons even though on my screen it was just regular snow. Also had another streamer friend having the same issue.

In Streamlabs Desktop, make sure the Base (Canvas) Resolution is the same resolution that your monitor is set at. The Output Resolution should be set what you want your stream or recording to be at, like 1280x720 for 720p or 1920x1080 for 1080p.

If this is case, select your source, then right click on it, choose Transform, then choose Fit to Screen.

Hey Streamlabs team, I need help with a bug.

I’m using the NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new) encoder, but under the Preset dropdown, I’m still seeing the old x264 P1–P7 options instead of Quality, Max Quality, etc.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers (RTX 2080 SUPER)

Confirmed Streamlabs is fully updated

Fully uninstalled Streamlabs and deleted all AppData folders

Reinstalled fresh

Verified in other apps (OBS Studio shows the correct NVENC presets)

Despite all this, Streamlabs continues to show P1–P7 under the NVENC (new) encoder. Is there a known fix or way to reset the encoder backend?

Hi everyone! Since the latest update I installed around July 25th I think, I keep getting the message of "Your mic is unmuted but has no signal", even when the mic is working with no issues. However, that's not my main problem. Also, since then, everytime a game uses a lot of resources, I keep getting skipped frames over and over and over. And video plus mic start cracking. I don't know if those two factors are correlated somehow, but both started happening at the same time (and it's not only one game, it is several games, and never had that issue before).

Is there really no way to go back to the previous version of streamlabs?

When it opened, it showed my old scene on that laptop from like 5 years ago, but I thought nothing of it. With Streamlabs Mobile, if the remote camera has an RTMP URL, you should be able to add that via Custom Item/Add a URL. Can't guarantee that will work, just have to try it.

That's not the problem. From what I understand if you haven't mobile streamed to YouTube in a while, the token isn't fresh and causes this problem. The disconnect steps I gave you should resolve that. If you get the 423 Locked message again, the only thing you can do is log out in Streamlabs Mobile, wait a few minutes, log back in, and then wait a few minutes and try again.

I use the virtual webcam to run my scene into Spelltable, a site for playing Magic: The Gathering over the internet with other players using webcams. I've never had an issue doing this until the latest update, so I'm wondering if something has become bugged with the Virtual Camera.

I troubleshooted by running spelltable just with a webcam and it worked fine so it's definitely a Streamlabs issue

Hello, I'm recently having issues with my alertbox not showing alerts. I changed my Twitch password awhile ago which I think caused the issue. My only question is how to get the alerts to come back? If I test it on streamlabs it will show the alerts ("Kevin just started following!") But not for real viewers. My account name I'm using is gr8tobebait.

Hey, does anyone else have the inability to monitor audio when using a mixer? I'd love to be able to separate audio tracks so they're not all playing through one desktop audio source (especially so I can fine-tune my microphone audio as needed instead of having to record videos & play them back), but I'm unable to because as soon as I split sources I can't monitor the audio to hear it for myself. I've tried setting the global monitoring device to both default and my MG10XU, but nothin'. It's always been like this for me. If there is a fix, I'd love to know!

The password changed caused this. If you change your platform password and use Streamlabs, you should always log out of Streamlabs and then log in using the new password before you go live.

Alright, I'll tell you what I have done so far to try and fix this.

After I realized the password change affected this I started digging around and found out that streamlabs was not apart of my connections on twitch. So I logged out of streamlabs then relogged in with the new password (it popped up a page asking if I wanted streamlabs to have my twitch info.) That caused Streamlabs to show up in my connections again but I'm still not getting notifications.

Could you follow my twitch and see if I get the notification?

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

3. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for YouTube.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop and Streamlabs Mobile

5. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your YouTube. This re-establishes the connection.

Has the microphone audio not actually recording thing been resolved? I want to record and stream this weekend, but cannot currently because the only way I have been able to record microphone audio is by having monitor output on and having it play to my desktop. This has worked fine for recent videos as I only needed my voice, but will not work for anything that relies on actual audio from the desktop.

Hello! So this message could mean a few different things. But our software is trying to help streamers not have the issue of going live with a muted mic (or the mic not working) so its giving this message that we are not detecting audio on your Mic source.

It could be that the driver is blocking us from properly detecting the audio, or it could be there has been a period of time without audio causing it to trigger that message.

We are also rolling out a hotfix to allow you to control this notification. If you click the gear right of Mixer > Go to Global Settings. And you can disable it here if its not working correctly with your setup:

Will that do anything if many others have already submitted tickets on the same issue? At this point I assume it should be considered a #known-issues and a patch needs to come out soon as this is a major impact if you cannot get microphone audio. What would instantly fix my problem is if there is a way to downpatch. Do you know how to do that?

Volunteers don’t have access to the ticket system. We are not Streamlabs employees.

There is not a way to revert to a previous version.

You can download a fresh installer from the Streamlabs web site and install that but you would have to completely disconnect from the internet before launching Streamlabs Desktop every time in order to prevent it from updating.

Hey guys! I have over 1000 Mbps of download and upload internet speed, so I set my Bitrate to 6000 so I can stream at 1080p 60fps. However, last night I kept getting major lag in my game and chat (around 30s - 1 min) and Twitch said my stream was unstable because my Bitrate was too high.....I'm not sure how, with over 1000 Mbps of Internet speeds, my 6000 Bitrate is too high; I know people who's Internet speeds are much lower and can still stream at 6000 Bitrate with no problems. Any suggestions?

Download and install the Twitch Tool. It's safe and not malicious at all.

If indeed you don't trust it and don't feel safe running i the Twitch Test, I'd suggest disabling Dual Output and streaming only to Twitch and see how it goes.

That means that YouTube channel is already merged into a Streamlabs account.

Log out of the account you are currently using then log in by clicking the YouTube button and log in with that YouTube channel.

Then unmerge YouTube.

If that works, then log out and log in the other account and you can merge the YouTube channel there.

Hi, I'm contacting you with an unusual problem. Since the beginning of this month, I've been having problems with my bitrate. Previously, it wasn't a problem and was always around 6000 Mbps. Hello. I've been trying to find a way to mute/unmute Discord & Spotify whilst streaming. Here I used the "Application Audio" feature, which works perfectly.

However, if I happen to go somewhere else on Discord or skip a few songs, and then open Streamlabs OBS, the route to the audio functions are not working anymore, and I'd have to route them again. Is there a way to fix this?

I asked a friend whom uses OBS Studio, and he doesn't have that issue, I really hope there's a way to solve it in Streamlabs though

More than likely discord is asking you which audio device you want to use. Choose the specific audio device in discord and windows. Don’t use “default device”.

• Video Capture Device Audio: Check the properties of your video capture device. Echoes can occur if a custom audio device is selected within its settings. Ensure no custom audio device is chosen there. (See example image)
• Open Stream in Browser: Confirm that you do not have your own stream open (and unmuted) in another browser tab or window. This is a very common cause of immediate echoes.
• Windows Audio Device Monitoring: Make sure you are not actively listening to a recording device (like your microphone) from within your Windows audio settings. Be sure to turn off this "listen" option for your recording devices. (See example image)

Can you go into your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Advanced > Audio and change your audio monitoring device to "default"?

Then close Streamlabs Desktop, re-launch it as admin (right-click the desktop icon, run as admin)

Then go back into the same settings area and change your audio monitoring device back to the device you'd like to hear audio.

If your clicking the Add Custom Destination button in Streamlabs Desktop, yes, that is an ultra only feature. If you want to dual stream to Twitch and TikTok, you need to log into the Streamlabs web site with your Twitch and then merge your TikTok. Then go here and make sure you apply for and are granted access to live with Streamlabs https://www.tiktok.com/falcon/live_g/live_access_pc_apply/result/index.html?id=GL6399433079641606942&lang=en-US. Finally you would need to enable dual output.

unchecking the "Force GPU as render device" box helped for about a month now (my GF streams 3-4 times a week).

Yesterday the issue where parts of Streamlabs OBS went missing after going live appeared again. They come back when mini- and maximizing SL OBS. But after a few minutes they disappear again.
The "Force GPU as render device" box is still unchecked.
She's using the latest version.

Hello guys, im having little issue with a theme widget in streamlabs (using OBS Studio). So the alerts are working fine, both YT and Twitch (i multistream), but my theme chat box only displays the Twitch messages and not the YT messages. Hello! I am currently streaming and many of my viewers are saying that their messages are getting deleted even though they are not saying anything that would get the message deleted! any tips?

Check AutoMod Settings:

Go to your Twitch Creator Dashboard.

Navigate to Settings > Moderation > AutoMod Rulesets.

Lower the levels (e.g., from Level 3 to Level 1) or turn it off temporarily to test.

Review Blocked/Permitted Terms:

In the same Moderation tab, check Blocked and Permitted Terms.

Make sure nothing common or harmless is listed as blocked.

Check Third-Party Bots:

If you're using bots like Nightbot, StreamElements, or Moobot, log into their dashboards.

Review their spam filters (e.g., excessive symbols, caps, links) and relax them if needed.

Check Chat Filters on Twitch:

In your Twitch Chat Settings, make sure your chat isn't hiding messages with certain content types (emotes, links, etc.).

Mod Actions Review:

Ask your mods if they’re manually deleting messages.

You can also go to Mod Actions in the chat settings to see what was removed and why.

Once you tweak those settings, it should stop deleting normal messages.

New Streamlabs update needs to be Mac OS 13 or higher. Finally had to update to sequoia today.

The staff have reset your connection for Twitch events. For the reset to finalize, please do the following steps:

1. Log into streamlabs.com with your Twitch account.
2. Go to https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
3. Click the Launch button beside your Widget URL.
4. Leave the launched window open for a minimum of 3 minutes.
5. Your next follow, sub, or bit should be captured going forward. 
    
   These steps will not restore missed events but will refresh the connection to capture new ones.

Well, if you don’t then you won’t be able to stream to TikTok. Up to you. I can only direct you on how to make it work.

Your ability to stream to TikTok with their Studio is a completely separate permission you have to apply for if you want to stream to TikTok with Streamlabs.

You’re welcome. If viewers say it’s happening with Cloudbot off, then it would be an issue with YouTube.

If it doesn’t happen, I would back on all the Cloudbot moderation modules and then see what happens. And it would be good to know what is being sent so we can troubleshoot this more effectively.

Hello, Just got auto updated on my Mac to 1.19.2 and now the app screen capture no longer functions. The Mac OS Screen Capture feature worked for the previous version but now it will not capture video/audio through streamlabs.

Hey! Just jumping in here as there have been some communication about this in general that hasn't been communicated to volunteers yet. We have a #known-issues about it, but basically if you can update to macOS 13 please do so. If not, please reach out in a ticket and we may be able to help out as we investigate why it's not working on macOS 12 especially since that's the last macOS that intel macs can use

Go to settings > Video and swap your output resolution. It's probably something like 1920x1080, it should be 1080x1920 (or something similar, depending on what resolution your broadcasting in).

The Twitch VOD Track is a powerful feature in Streamlabs Desktop designed to help you exclude specific audio from your Twitch Video On Demand (VOD) recordings. This is particularly useful for avoiding DMCA or copyrighted music in your VODs.

1. Go to Settings > Output.
2. If you are using Simple Output Mode, please enable "advanced encoder settings" first.

@runic skiff streamlabs forces updates and doesn't allow reverting them, so there's no fixing this on your end, you'll have to use obs-studio
