i see a generic "capture stopped" error, it's rather difficult to troubleshoot since it doesn't tell what exatly blocked game capture - it could be a known conflict, like a/v software or rtss, or it could be the game's own anticheat if there is one and it's set to block obs-studio's game capture hook

removing bitdefender might help, too, but if game capture works with other games, it's probably not applicable

if you only included obs64.exe, graphics-hook64.dll is probably not there, not sure if this is applicable, but uninstalling bitdefender is also a valid troubleshooting step here

Same issue here. Accepted into the HEVC Beta, yet haven't had HEVC as an encoder option for streaming for a while now. Even paid the buck to get the codec officially form Microsoft. Able to play, record and edit HEVC no problem. But no streaming option.

Scoured the internet, can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere about this. I swear the option used to be there. Now that I can actually USE it, it's mysteriously vanished. Can someone please just give me a straight answer/how-to on how to get this option back? Or has it just been removed from Streamlabs for some reason? I'm at my wit's end here trying to figure this out. I just want to make use of HEVC to stream to Twitch in higher quality.

@echo flare Updating your Discord settings specifically for this server can help to reduce/eliminate these DMs/friend requests. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Discord settings
  2. Select Content and Social
  3. Choose Streamlabs in the drop-down menu
  4. Toggle off Direct Messages
  5. Toggle off Friend Requests for Everyone and Server Members

Then they won't be able to contact you via DM and won't be able to send Friend Requests. If you do not want to do this, you can always report users in #user-safety-and-reports and our team can look into these situations.

There is a Source called "Alert Box", this is where you set up your Alerts. Alternatively you can also use the Alerts on Twitch itself.

IF you are new to streaming, don't set yourself too high. You will quickly get disappointed, it takes a long time to get a following and also to reach Affiliate.
Click on Sources and add the Alert Box. Then you right click on ther Alert Box once added to then edit your alerts

Hi all, do i need Streamlabs Ultra for the Stream-Chat Dock in the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS? I tried out with Facebook and YOutube multistreaming, but only Youtube Chat was shown. Alerts and Activities worked fine for both. Also i can see the facebook chat in the Chat-Box widget for the overlay.

hey all, just started streaming using streamlabs, for some reason when i stream playing a game in 4k, downscaling to 1080p my stream turns super choppy. is there a fix for this?

Quick question for anyone using Streamlabs Chatbot:

Right now I have:

  • “On Super Chat” = 10 XP
  • “Donations” = 100 XP per 1 EUR/USD

So if someone sends a 2€ Superchat, they get:
→ 10 XP (from the event)
→ 200 XP (from the donation value)
= 210 XP total

Is that correct?
And if I want to avoid this double-counting, should I just set “On Super Chat” to 0 XP?

Looks like the Output Resolution on the horizontal output is backwards. For example, If it shows 1080x1920, change it to 1920x1080.

I just updated streamlabs and now it no longer will recognize Hunt: Showdown. It will recognize other games and before the update it would auto detect Hunt but now it just won't at all. I have admin permission given to SLOBs and I didn't change anything after the update.

I had the same thing. On July 7th there was an update or something and your streaming content needs to be something like 50 or 75% gaming content - apparently the agreement with SL and TT is for gaming content. I just got my TT access back. I use SL bc I'm on Mac and can't get a stream key or use their Live Studio (they dont offer that for mac). So I'd suggest just streaming to Twitch/Kick/YT and give it a few days and reapply for the TT access. It took me close to 2 weeks before it was finally approved - I just kept streaming gaming content to twitch thru SL.

I keep getting the same issues when re-opening streamlabs.

  1. My Capture Card keeps changing resolution automatically and I have to constantly change back the resolution to fit the screen. No idea why this keeps happening. (No I'm not changing the resolution or anything, just happens every time I open StreamLabs again after a reboot.
  2. When using the audio for the Capture Card to my streams, the audio is corrupted, but when I change it to just capture the audio of the capture card going through the PC, it works perfectly fine. Monitoring the audio also shows it's fine so no idea why ONLY when it goes to YouTube/Twitch does the audio become corrupted. This has made me have to just share computer audio which isn't ideal all the time.
  3. I think this might have been said but the application audio capture (beta) is probably broken for me because the audio will one moment be fine and then all of a sudden it changes to nails scratching a blackboard so I've had to stop using that when streaming PC games.

Interesting. Okay, thanks for trying that.

Please download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer and run the installer as administrator and let the installer install over your existing installation. No need to uninstall first.

At the end of the installer, don’t let it launch Streamlabs Desktop, but rather quit the installer and reboot your PC.

One your PC is back, see how it goes.

Guys I need some help, streamlabs want to update to the last version released a few days ago (and works horrible for my pc) and then download an older version but the app won't open if I don't update it... Idk want more to do. Any ideas?

Follow these steps exactly, don't skip or perform them out of order. If you are unsure about a step, ask first and don't guess what I meant.

First, go through all your settings and screen shot them or make notes. Clearing the cache will reset all the settings so you'll need to apply them before you go live. TIP: You can drag the settings screen vertically to make all the settings appear in one screen shot.

Once all you have all your settings recorded:

  1. Quit Streamlab Desktop.
  2. Copy this string: %appdata%
  3. Press the Windows Key on your keyboard, Press CTRL + V then Press Enter.
  4. This will put you into your roaming folder, scroll down until you see " slobs-client ".
  5. Rename it to " _slobs-client ".
  6. Launch Streamlabs Desktop as Administrator when launching.

At this point Streamlabs Desktop should download your scenes and sources from the cloud and recreate your slobs-client folder. Be patient and just let it sit for a few minutes.

After all that, let me know how it goes.

Hello! I am having trouble with NDI in stream labs desktop, I can see the NDI stream from NDI Monitor but stream labs cannot seem to find it, I followed the articles on the stream labs website but still not having any luck, I have pro presenter on a Mac, and stream labs on PC, I can ping both machines, and using the NDI tools downloaded I can view the lower 3rds NDI from pro presenter, I just cannot load it into stream labs

Please go to Settings ⚙️ > Get Support > and press Upload Diagnostic.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and YouTube will resolve this.

  1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

  2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

  3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

  4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

  5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for YouTube.

  6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your YouTube. This re-establishes the connection.

  7. 👉 IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

  8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

It's not obvious when you log in, but one of the interstitials will say something like Streamlabs has access to x of 6 scopes. Click there and make sure that all 6 of the boxes are checked and then proceed through the rest of the log in process.

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Okay, go through each of the settings and screen shot or make notes of each setting.

Then, in Settings, go to Support, and click Delete Cache and Restart.

Streamlabs Desktop will then delete its cache and restart. Once it comes back up, log in if necessary and let it sit there for a minute and make sure you can see your scenes and sources.

Then try and go live.

greetings, I'm running OBS Studio 31.1.1 and have Chat bot Added as a Browser Source.
In my Log file I am getting the two below errors:

and

I can confirm I have copied the Widget URL https://streamlabs.com/widgets/chat-box/v1/REDACTED into the URL box of my source

I mean, the Chatbox actually works, but obviously something in the backend of OBS Studio or specific to my setup causing the errors in the log.

I am having trouble with my mic picking up my keyboard noises, I want to be able to hear them in my recording and my microphone seems fine doing that in any other app, (I have a hyper x solocast if that helps). I haven't seen an email response, and now my free trial is up, and it took the money out of my account. Streamlabs Desktop launching as if it is a fresh/like it's the first time using it?
The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Check for any running programs called "Streamlabs," "Electron," or "Obs64". If you find either of these processes running, please right-click and end the process. https://gyazo.com/d6b9babb076875ee5889983b532948e1

Hey there,

i just did an "export currency and hours to extension" via Streamlabs Chatbot Desktop.

Nee that export for an import of another program reading it and post the values via a command into my twitch chat.

Currency (points) working all fine but it won´t show the hours.

Example for points:
@Usernam, you have 5.980 points

Example for Watchtime (hours):
@username, you have watched Streamer for 0 seconds.

A couple of days ago, I logged into Streamlabs through my browser and noticed a new user interface. However, when I went to check my Alert Box settings, I saw that all of my custom alerts had been deleted. This includes all alert types (followers, subscribers, donations, etc.) that I had previously configured.

If you're just a moderator and not the actual streamer, you might need to as the streamer to delete the command so you can readd it.

Hey guys, been streaming on streamlabs console from Xbox to Streamlabs and then to twitch. Been having these issues for the last week or so, but I've been streaming every day and its been getting very frustrating. I can't see my stream preview at the top right anymore it just is a black screen and says content cannot be verified and then during my stream my camera and microphone will randomly disappear for random chunks of time resulting in no cam or audio during stream.   1. Go into your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Advanced > Audio area and change your "Desktop Audio Monitoring" device to "Default"
  2. Close Streamlabs Desktop
  3. Re-launch Streamlabs Desktop as admin (right-click the desktop icon for Streamlabs Desktop > run as admin)
  4. Go back into the same Settings area
  5. Change the Audio Monitoring Device to the device you want to hear the audio in

Check their audio monitoring if it's still not working (monitor only mute output) or they could try monitor and output (may cause an echo)

Otherwise, try removing the focusrite from the equation entirely and see if things work or not

@trail oracle if the game audio is coming in before the video, they would want to use an Audio Sync Offset filter and they can find that by clicking the gear to the top right of the mixer

if the game video is coming in before the audio, they would want to add a Render Delay Filter. they can find this by clicking on the video source in their sources list > filters > add a Render Delay Filter

Delete that video capture source from each scenes where it’s used and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
Go to Windows Device Manager, locate the Camera device, right click on it, and choose Uninstall device.
Unplug the camera from your system and reboot the PC.
Once the PC is back up, plug in the camera and let Windows detect it and set it up.
Launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and then add the Video Capture Device source back.

If you still have issues, try these steps again but move the camera to a different USB port. Don’t use a USB Hub.

That's Virtual Webcam for if you want to use the output of Streamlabs Desktop in a video call over Zoom or in Discord. Disable Virtual Cam. I don't think you need it for what you're wanting to do.

Im having an issue in both SL and the other SW (competition, ofc not seeking support for that, just potentially relevant info) where no matter what options I choose in the source share gaming screen, it only shows a black screen. Win 10 latest patch, 9900K CPU/2080TI GPU 64 GB system Ram. Screen sharing works perfect in Discord, but I cant make it work in the streaming apps. The part in getting started where it says a window with red bars should appear (after adding share gaming screen as a source), well that doesnt appear for me. I get game audio, no video (again, tried all the various window options. It has no anticheat or anything, it is No Rest For The Wicked, so far a single player game).

If Stream Deck upated to V6.9.1, the Streamlabs Desktop integration has been moved to a plugin. Go to the Elgato Marketplace, search for Streamlabs Desktop, and install that plugin.

Note that you should run both Stream Deck and Streamlabs Desktop as administrator or not as administrator. One or the other as administrator and the other not, will cause Stream Deck not to properly detect that Streamlabs Desktop is running.

Got a lil issue. I have no Game Sound in my Stream. Using the Gameplay to Capture my Screen and Audio. I have visiblr Peaks in my Audio Mixer and everything looked like always when i checked before going live. A viewer told me then that there is no Gameplay Audio.

I have an issue -
So I have normally been recording with mutiple recording tracks - Gameplay, Voices & Friend Voice - I have been using this fine!
However, I got a new PC set it up the same way again and now when I drag the recording into Davinci it only gives me one audio track - even though on stream labs all the bars are moving and all the recording tracks are selected and should be recording them as well but its not! Any help on this would be great!

Anyone having issues since the 1.19.1 update with lag in games but only when you have them tabbed into? I have tested everything and updated all drivers but still for some reason, it laggs though, seemingly, nothing had changed.

Hello, I've been having mic issues since the last update last week. It seeming is dropping my connecting and i have to reset the mic to default and back to my mic. Is there a fix or is this a known issue? Its infurating to have to stop constantly during stream to fix it

Hi everyone,

In the last couple of days I had a repeated issue:
Twice out of five attempts at recording a video streamlabs went into an endless circle when I hit the button to stop recording.
In both of those cases I waited over an entire night to see if it would eventually complete the file but it didn't.
When looking at the file of the videos themselves they only captured like half or less of the entire session, despite Streamlabs itself not giving me any indication that it would have stopped recording.
In both cases the files were damanged beyond repair and I had to throw away 6h work on the first one, 3h on the second one as there was no way to know something's going wrong.

Any ideas?

64GB RAM
Asus STRIX Z670E-F
Windows 11 Pro

Currently there's 1TB of free space on my drive, so it doens't look like it's just running out of memory to store the file on.

Are you live with a public stream? With YouTube, Chatbox will only work in that configuration. It will not work with a Private or Unlisted stream and definitely does not work if you are not live.

So I have set up a new domain with the site that Streamlabs has provided. On the domains side, it says it's active. But on Streamlabs side, it says "Domain Setup in Progress". It has said this for 5 days. When will my new domain be able to be used?

Hi, there was a Streamlabs update the other day (which I installed), and wouldn’t you know it, I go to record some content and stream today, and I get absolutely NO audio in my recording/live DESPITE the audio mixer LED meter bouncing up and down like a happy puppy. I made ZERO changes to my audio setup prior to this, so idk what is happening. I have Streamlabs ultra with dual canvas enabled. I haven’t had any issues before now. Any ideas, and how to fix it?

Anyone know how to fix the issue of not being able to hear your party chat when streaming on Xbox console? Hello, I have a problem that has been going on for too long, I can't subscribe to Ultra on the Streamlabs website, when I click on "upgrade" or "join Ultra" nothing happens, I tried on several browsers and even on another PC and it still doesn't work, because of that I can no longer stream on Youtube in addition to Twitch, I sent a ticket but I never received any answers except for an email asking me if I was satisfied with the help received (which I didn't receive)

Can I please get help and or a way to go back to the previous version instead of the new update. My streams and quality has been perfectly fine until this new update emerged. I went from 60fps streams to where now my stream is glitching and frames are dropping like rain drops from a supercell. I NEED HELP!!! Hello, I have a problem. I stream with two PCs. The gaming PC sends the video to the streaming PC equipped with an Elgato 4K. On the streaming PC I have Streamlabs, I created a video capture, I get the signal via the Elgato, but on the gaming PC I am in ultrawide 21:9 and I cannot configure Streamlabs to broadcast in 16:9 (1920x1080). Could you give me some advice please?

-Remove the Browser Source you have for the Chatbox Widget from every scene where you have it
-Quit OBS Studio
-Hit windows key + R
-Paste this and hit enter %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser
-Delete the cache folder
-Start up OBS Studio again
-Add the Browser Source for the Chatbox Widgetin only one scene and set the following circled options in the Browser Source.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and YouTube should resolve this.

  1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

  2. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

  3. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for YouTube.

  4. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your YouTube. This re-establishes the connection.

  5. 👉 IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

  6. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

It's not obvious when you log in, but one of the interstitials will say something like Streamlabs has access to x of 6 scopes. Click there and make sure that all 6 of the boxes are checked and then proceed through the rest of the log in process.
