Interesting. Edge is usually good. I would log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP in the upper right and choose Log out. Then clear the cache for all time, restart Edge, and try again.

It does but in the 1.19.0 update that is slowly rolling out, there is a mechanism in it that will let you know there is an update and you can choose to proceed or defer the update.

No just harder to monitor my internet issues, which i also dont know how to fix, im trying to play the game "The Finals" on stream and playing off stream i exerience no lag in game, but when i start up my stream i start rubber banding in game, when i screenshare on discord this doesnt happen. so its pointing me towards it being an issue related to the stream itself, altho even trying only 3000 bitrate it doesnt have a change on my in game lag issues upon starting stream

there are some buggy routers, try enabling tcp pacing in settings>advanced; also try connecting to your isp's hardware directly, bypassing the router, if possible

Well, what I like to do is take screen shots during the game and use select screen shots for thumbnails and also use the screen shot for as a place holder image for the Game Caputure source. That way they see the screen shot rather than Looking for a game to capture or a black screen.

In the Game Capture properties, you can specify a placeholder image. The viewers would then see that image rather than a black screen if the game was not running.

Not sure how you're connecting Streamlabs to TikTok Studio.

If you're trying to stream to TikTok from Streamlabs Desktop:

Make sure you have been granted Live with Streamlabs.

TikTok along grants or revokes access to Live with Streamlabs.

Live with TikTok Studio is a separate permission and having that does not automatically grant you Live with Streamlabs.

Enter Free in the Search Box.

You'd have to log in to the account with your YouTube and TikTok and unmerge them then merge them into another account if that's what you're wanting to do. And to avoid issues with one of those, probably YouTube, being the Primary, I'd suggest logging in the 'lost' account with your Streamlabs ID.

But since you say 'you lost the account'. I'd need to know why about the account makes it lost?

Pro tip. Just keep 1 personal account for that kind of stuff and don’t change it. I’ve had my personal since gmail was invite only. Don’t use potentially transient emails like work or school for anything but those things. Just a pro-tip from somebody who was stupid and used a work email for my first twitch account over a decade ago. I forgot the password and couldn’t recover since I had retired and left the company at that point. They still haven’t released that username (hence why mine has a 1 behind it).

Dual Streaming has had issues lately. I would disable Dual Streaming. Restart Streamlabs Desktop. Log out, log in with YouTube and let it sit for a few minutes. Then log out and log in with the other platform, Twitch, I think, and let it sit for a few minutes. The restart Streamlabs Desktop, enable Dual Streaming, and try again. Hello, I just had an issue where I couldn't stream at all due to dropped AND skipped frames.
There is no extra load on my CPU and my video bitrate was on 2500 while audio bitrate on 160.
It just kept loading on twitch and "reconnecting" on the app on pc.

I have no internet issues, I did check that. But for some reason, there is an issue there...

Hey so I'm having trouble getting the advanced chat overlay widget to work properly with youtube chat. notifications like follows and superchats and stuff are coming through but the actual chat is not. I can't figure out if there's a way to get it to work!

if i open streamlabs, valorant is lagging or being not able to be choosed as main display app on the monitor. just "dead".

Due to compatibility issues with certain anti-cheat systems, Game Capture source may not work with some games, including Valorant.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead

Remove all Game Capture sources related to the game you're trying to capture
Set the game to either windowed mode or borderless windowed mode
Add a new Window Capture source
Select your game from the window list
Change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

Hi I use streaml bas to record youtube videos and edit them on premier pro. Sometimes the footage comes out corrupt though. when put into premier Part of the video would be fine and at a certain point I get an error saying "frames missing at (the time of the video). Hi, im using Moblin streaming app and i have Streamlabs Text-To-Speech alerts added into it via browser widget. In January 2025 Moblin app developer fixed the problem where there would be no sound when the TTS alert was triggered (only graphics and text would show). It worked, but now it doesn't work again. App developer says he did not change anything, were there any changes of how the alerts are played?

On Windows 10, you will see a yellow border around the game which cannot be disabled. This is not visible in your stream and can be ignored. I windows 11, you can disable it.

To disable the yellow border on windows 11, in windows settings, Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Screenshot borders. You can see if you have the option in windows 10. You should be upgrading to 11 anyway, 10 gets sunset soon.

That’s a twitch issue. Transcodes are not always available at all times to everyone. Especially during busy times unless you’re a partner, they are available at Twitch discretion.

so my girlfriend went live an hour ago and her Streamlabs started glitching out.
Some parts of the screen went missing until she minimizes it and puts it back to fullscreen again.
She had to redo this a few times. This never happened before.

Please go to Settings ⚙️ > Get Support > and press Upload Diagnostic.

In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Advanced, uncheck Force GPU as render device. Note that may require a restart of Streamlabs Desktop which would end the stream so only do this once she ends her stream.

Only affects the rendering of Streamlabs Desktop itself, does not affect the stream. The stream uses the encoder settings you have configured at Setttings > Output.

I'm having trouble getting a consistent framerate out of Streamlabs. This applies to both recording and streaming, so it's not a network issue. When looking at the stats window, I see that the framerate drops constantly.

With the output set to 60 FPS, the framerate drops down to about 45, at 30 FPS, it drops to as low as 15. This makes no sense to me because the performance does not improve, it seemingly gets worse?? Or rather, the amount of dropped frames stays the same regardless of the output FPS.

I have a specced out gaming PC, so it should be able to handle streaming with ease. CPU temps are about 50 Celsius when gaming/streaming and the overall load is under 30%, GPU temps are at 60 Celsius with a load of about 60%. So there should be plenty of headroom for Streamlabs to do its thing.

The drops only occur in Streamlabs during rendering, not in the games I'm playing, and regardless of which game I'm playing.

My setup:
Motherboard: Gigabyte AORUS X870E PRO ICE
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: AMD Radeon 9070 XT
RAM: Corsair Dominator Titanum 64 GB (2x32 GB) DDR5 / 6600 MHz
SSD: WD_BLACK NVMe (4 TB)
OS: Windows 11 Pro
Webcam: Insta360 Link 2

So far I tried:
lowering the bitrate, output FPS, resolution
switching the encoder from Software to AMD_HW264
running OBS/Streamlabs as administrator
removing sources and scenes until only one with "Game Capture" and my webcam is left
turning "force GPU as render device" on/off
setting the process priority to "high"
turning on/off VSYNC in whatever game I'm playing
turning on/off all GPU specific features (FSR, FreeSync, AntiLag, etc.)
turning on/off Game Mode, Game Bar and in Windows 11 Settings
turning down the Webcam resolution/framerate to 720p/30 (the lowest possible) - this alleviates the FPS drops SLIGHTLY.

The only error message I get is that lagged frames were detected (at least 2% over the last couple of minutes).

I'm really at a loss what else I should do here, so any help is greatly appreciated! Sorry for the wall of text lol.

Hi! I have a problem: for a few weeks i am multistreaming to Youtube and Twitch and for Youtube i activated the dual output feature. It works fine until the last 2 streams. When i turn off the Twitch stream, the dual output stream works well on Youtube. When i activate also the Twitch stream, the dual output on youtube is not working, it only starts the horizontal stream, but not the portrait mode.

Hello everyone - I was wondering if I could speak to someone who is an expert in streamlabs as i'm having this issue with my stream.

Just minor movement when i'm gaming causes my stream to go blurry/grainy - then it will go clear once I stop moving but it takes about a second for my stream to render and it to look clear again.

I've tried every possible streamlabs tutorial, tried all different combinations of setting, seeked out advice online, prompted chatGPT for the best settings, i've even invested in a new PC recently as well with a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. I've also optimsed the graphics card, my PC and streamlabs to run at peak performance - Nothing seems to be working and the issue still persists.

I have every other aspect of my stream ready to go so if anyone who is an expert in this could hop on a discord call with me an see if there is anything I am missing that would be great!

I don't believe most users have a stream key automatically assigned to their account. 😦 I couldn't say for certain where it would be located within your TikTok account settings (if you had one) because I haven't had one applied to my account before.

Hi! I have a problem: for a few weeks i am multistreaming to Youtube and Twitch and for Youtube i activated the dual output feature. It works fine until the last 2 streams. When i turn off the Twitch stream, the dual output stream works well on Youtube. My suggestion would be to use Collab Cam but I don’t think it’s available in OBS Studio with the Streamlabs Plugin. I’d hop over to the OBS studio discord and ask how to handle guests on stream and see if they have any suggestion but don’t mention the Streamlabs plugin or they will just send you back here.

low latency apps will always have the issue of immediately showing you issues, if there are issues, you can also try calling your respective ISPs about this, or use something more commonplace, like a discord video call

You may need to refresh your connection between Streamlabs and Twitch. This refresh should allow new alerts to appear in your recent events, alertbox and update everything properly!

1. Log out of Streamlabs and all Streamlabs software that you may be using.

3. Then find Streamlabs (Twitch Alerts) or Streamlabs Dashboard & click Disconnect.
4. Once you have done this, please log in to streamlabs.com or Streamlabs Desktop with your Twitch account

This will refresh your connection. However, events will not populate retroactively (so old events will not populate). However, this should resolve issues with them appearing going forward. I would be happy to test a "live" alert to your channel once this is done.

Hey guys! I've noticed an issue with chats in my streams and other streamers where chats come in in bulk. For example, lets say I'm getting 200 chats per minute. Instead of seeing them come in in real time, stream labs seems to cache 10-20 chats and display them all at once every 5-ish seconds.

Is there a way to fix this? I dual output vertical and horizontal on youtube, so using the youtube browser chat isn't an option.

@onyx mortar this is why i don't like troubleshooting streamlabs desktop, everything's an "unknown error", obs-studio would throw something useful like a WriteN rtmp send error, or code -2 or -3
but all of them lead to the same troubleshooting steps:

If you log in the Streamlabs web site with your Facebook by clicking this link: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms, you should be able to set the desired page there.

Mine looks like this.

If you only see your Profile, then I would advise resetting the connection bewtween Streamlabs and Facebook:

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your Profile picture in the upper right of the site and choose Log out.
2. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
3. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account
4. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Facebook using this link: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms. You should now see your other Facebook Pages.

You will need to reach out to TikTok for more information on your restriction. TikTok alone grates, restricts, or revokes access. Streamlabs has no input in their decisions. Live with TikTok Studio is a completely separate permission and it is possible to have one but restricted or revoked on the other and having one does not automatically grant access to the other.

If you're using Game Capture, that won't work as a few years ago Roblox implemented an anti-cheat feature which broke Game Capture's ability to hook into the game.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead:

add a new Window Capture source
select Roblox from the window list
change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

On Windows 10, you will see a yellow border around the game which cannot be disabled. This is not visible in your stream and can be ignored.

Every timeI click the login button, it instantly takes me to login, but also instantly tells me "The login popup was blocked by your browser. 2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

In Streamlabs Desktop, please log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

Then go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP.

If the drop-down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop-down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10.

After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

You're looking for at least a quality of 84.

Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

It’s on Facebook but when I was tryna fix a permission on the business intergrations setting on Facebook there was a permission that somehow made me not be able to stream on Facebook and now I’m tryna fix it

Is there any way to fix it back to how it was? I tried reaching out to Streamlabs support and made a ticket

Streamlabs doesn’t have any insight into permissions required by platforms. I found this on FB permissions.

To go live on Facebook, you'll need to grant Facebook permissions to access your camera and microphone, especially when using a mobile device for the first time. Additionally, for Pages, you need to have Facebook access or task access to create content and the account must be at least 60 days old with a minimum of 100 followers.

hey guys im new and I have some widgets set up such as viewer count chat box and alert box, how can I see those widgets in game? right now my viewers can see them on the screen, no matter what I play along as its in display capture or screen capture, but I cant see any of those myself, only my viewers. is there any way to solve this

You're using Display Capture or Screen Capture in your streaming software (either OBS or Streamlabs), so only your viewers see the overlays (like chat box, viewer count, alerts) because they're baked into the stream output — not into your game screen.

I haven't had time to test that yet as I had already left for work once I heard about this work around. You should be able to find it in the Startup tab of the Task Manager, right click on the Stream Deck icon, choose Properties, then on the Compatibility tab, enabled the option Run this program as administrator then finally click OK to save the changes.

Again, I have not tested this to see if you get a UAC prompt or not during Windows startup.

Dropped frames and stream disconnects are network issues; either internally at your computer or between your cable modem and the platform ingest.

Make sure you are not saving to your One Drive. That can cause dropped frames. Also, make sure your bitrate isn't exceeding 15000 which is the highest Facebook recommends and that your keyframe is set to 2 or 4.

If the dropped frames and disconnects continue, I would shut down your computer so that it power off. Then pull the power cable from your cable modem and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes and then plug it back in. Once the cable modem is fully back up, power on your PC and see how it goes. If you still have dropped frames and disconnects, reach out to your Internet Service Provider.

Base (Canvas) Resolution should be set to the resolution your monitor is set.
Output Resolution should be set to 1280x720.
FPS set to 60
Bitrate set to 6000.

Set the monitor(s) refresh rate to 60.

If you are streaming a game, cap the FPS to 60.

With fast movement or when the scene is dark, you're going to see some pixelation. What the viewer sees on stream is never going to look exactly like what you see on your monitor.

You should be able to do that in your monitors menu.

If you have an Nvidia video card, you should be able to set the monitor referesh rate in the Nvidia Cintrol Paenl but I don't know if that's available on MacOS.

ios mobile issue; i was making a scene and the text area glitched out, looked like a nil box, then the app crashed. now its crashing on load; tried deleting and reinstalling, it wont get past the privacy policy (but was working absolutely fine prior to this so i dont think related, but noted)

edit: ugh this might be a user idiot error on my end, liquid glass makes the delete button below the add to library, thus i never deleted. actually deleting it fixed it 🤦🏻‍♂️

Please, can someone help me? I was streaming using Streamlabs for a few days without any problem and then my AMD drivers suddenly crashed and I can't open Streamlabs anymore. When I open it, my Drivers crash. I am 100% sure that nothing has broken between mt lives. It simply stopped working. I tried OBS and the same problem happened, so I am sure the problem is my Drivers. Have anyone here had any problems like that or ideas to fix it? Thanks!
