In Streamlabs Desktop, please log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

Then go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP.

If the drop-down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop-down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10.

After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Hi, I have a problem.
I normally stream and record, and until now, when I finish the stream, the video was generated immediately.
Since the last update, streamlabsobs keeps loading and takes a long time to encode the video, the same time it took to stream.
Let's say I record for 2 minutes, finish, and it takes an extra 2 minutes to produce the video.

If I record for 3 hours, it takes 3 hours to generate the video, 3 hours after the Steam.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong or what's happening?

Had some other Discords watch and listen to my clips and they noted that the sound happened when ever you dealt over 40 damage to the creature during battle.

So I'm considering using Streamlabs now, heard some good things about it, inc the virtual camera system. I have a few questions about the encoder support though, as docs are usually sparse on this topic. But does it support the Intel hardware encoding on iGPUs? A certain few apps (like Davinci iirc) can use the iGPU in Intel CPUs to deliver an encoding system that even beats the dGPU encoders. I could just use the Nvenc, but as the GPU already has stuff to do, I'd rather it doesn't spend any W on other topics, the iGPU never has anything to do, so it could take care of it if the app supports it

Hey, NakaJima, something dawned on me the other day. I remember, when I was troubleshooting Streamlabs OBS on Sunday, I recall seeing my Bitrate value was set to some 5-figure number (either 15,000kbps or 16,000kbps). Despite how powerful my machine is (32GB of RAM, Core i7 processor, NVIDIA 2070 graphics driver, etc.), is it safe to conclude that the overwhelmingly high bitrate might be what is causing my streams to crash in 90 seconds or less?

I remember going through the UI setup a couple of years ago. Based on what I researched, and based on the YouTube tutorials I've watched in the past, you should never have to exceed 6,000kbps for the bitrate.

I stream to Twitch.tv, specifically. Streamlabs mentions that, if you want 720p, 60 FPS (which is what I have historically aimed for), your bitrate should be no greater than 4,500kbps. I thought about amping the bitrate up to 6K before; however, my fear is that I would be pressing my luck trying to get 1080p, 60 FPS.

Funny thing is, I don't ever remember changing by bitrate from 4.5K to 15K-16K. I'm going to test this theory out this evening; hopefully this solution will work.

My UI, by the way, doesn't always stop responding. Sometimes, even when these [recent] streams have crashed, the UI is fine, but when I try to relaunch a stream, Streamlabs never makes it to the broadcasting phase.

Hello ! I have an issue with streamlabs. When I setup a game capture and I want to go back on my game (Valorant) it doesn't work (the game seems to be frozen). It worked fine 2 days ago. I also read that setting up a window capture instead was a way to solve it but playing in fullscreen windowed mode isn't possible for me. Do you know if there is another way to solve it ? hello! i have recently switch over to streamlabs from OBS and have got all the basics set up. The issue i am currently having is gameplay. I have connected my remote via blue tooth and it seems to be working while on the game but as soon as i open the game in SL , i can see the game but cannot get the game to function. Hi guys - having real trouble with audio on stream. I have tried numerous sources and every time I record through Streamlabs, the audio is crisp and perfect, yet when I stream, the audio sounds mono and really low bitrate/khz - I have tried everything to fix this but nothing has worked. This evening, I went live on Twitch using Streamlabs, and I experienced several issues during the stream. The video was glitching and appeared to be sped up, and there were constant cutouts and interruptions throughout the live session.

I’ve double-checked my settings (FPS set to 60, resolution at 1080p, bitrate at 6000 kbps, encoder on x264), and everything seems correct on my end. However, the issue only happens on Twitch via Streamlabs — when I use OBS Studio instead, everything works fine.

I recently saw your notice about FPS and resolution settings not saving properly, and I suspect this may be related to what I’m experiencing. Could you please help me resolve this issue or let me know if there’s a workaround?

Yeah same here, I tested with other software and everything works fine, so it’s definitely a Streamlabs OBS issue. On Twitch, the horizontal format doesn’t work properly — the stream is sped up and cuts a lot. On TikTok it’s fine, but Twitch is just bugging with Streamlabs.

Ok. I had a look at the above issues and it appears to be (weirdly) something to do with SLOBS not actually saving your settings. I set my bit rate down to 5500 and my FPS down to 30, saved settings and closed. Then opened up SLOBS again, changed them back and saved settings

Closed and reopened SLOBS and now the stream is running as it should

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Hello For some reason when I opened stream labs I had an issue with resolution (resolved) which led me to realize that my stream and recording are being handled by my cpu's integrated graphics. I switched it to gpu 1 which should be my 4090 and this error message popped up when trying to test the recording to make sure the resolution change went into effect. I did test if it will stream on gpu 1 and record on gpu 0 (the integrated graphics) and it does work to go live and record but for some reason the second i try to record on my gpu 1 it throws this error

Your Output Resolution is set for the vertical format.

Go to Settings > Video and then at Output Resolution, swap the values.

For example, if it shows 1080x1920, change it to 1920x1080.

You want to swit it back to the vertical format? If so then you'd just swap the values at Settings > Video.

Horizontal orientation would be (assuming 1080p): 1920x1080.

Vertical orientation would be (assuming 1080p): 1080x1920.

you can just import your scenes across, just did it myself because f slobs.... in the scene collection at the top click import and it should search make sure in OBS you have gone into file > setting > general > scroll down to importers and check mark "search known locations for scene collections when importing" and then do the scene collection stuff 🙂

my DNS records correctly point via CNAME to custom.streamlabs.com.
Still, after many hours, my Creator Site shows “Domain setup in progress” and the site returns ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED.

hello everyone. I need help to setup my streamlabs desktop :
I'm streaming on Twitch with a 10-minute delay applied to the entire stream (video, game audio, alerts). That part works fine. However, I need my microphone to bypass this delay so I can talk to viewers in real time, while everything else remains delayed. Is there any way to exclude the mic from the stream delay? I'm open to using a second PC if required, but ideally I'd like to handle this on one machine

@torn pollen change recording format to mkv, start recording, then play the recording in mpv (the video player), pause it until it falls 10 minutes behind, then use application audio output capture + window capture to grab its video and audio, you can stream that using obs-studio + capture the microphone in real time

I think you need to end your stream and then clear your browser cache. The steps are here:

1. Closing Streamlabs
2. Hit the Windows key + R
3. Paste the following and hit enter: %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser
4. Delete the Cache folder, then re-open Streamlabs

Then open Streamlabs and try going live again

overlays should be saved to the cloud but if you're concered about it i think there's a way to do it while saving your old cache but i don't remember how (you would need to reach out to their team, I did that once)

if you go to settings > support there is a clear cache. it will delete all of your actual Streamlabs Desktop settings (so resolution and output) so you woudl need to readjust those (so take screenshots if you want to put things back exactly the way they were)

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.
• This means you will want to start interacting with the "game" for about 5-20 seconds before it will be detected.

I downloaded the streamlabs obs plugin yesterday and ever since periodically I keep getting some kind of chime alert and I can't find what it is. I have not been live and it does it whether or not I'm recording anytime obs is open. The only thing I have connected to streamlabs is my twitch but I haven't gotten anything on there that should set an alert either because I have never went live and don't have my creator page completely set up yet. I stream off of console and have never had an issue until today.
Everything starts out fine, but as soon as I switch scene, the only way I can get it to work is if I select the scene and then hit refresh. But when I go to my game capture scene, the first picture is all it's picking up.
Alerts work, chatbox works, the bee gif works, but the game capture is frozen on that screen.
I have deleted the whole scene and made a new one, deleted game capture and re-added, made a whole new project with new scenes and it still does the same thing.

For Twitch, you can go to <https://twitch.tv/<your channel>/chat> in a web browser. For YouTube, you'd have to go to the stream and 'pop out' the chat. Not sure if Trovo, X, or Kick have this capability. I would guess Kick does since its Twitch-like.

I have been trying to record for a video, but I keep having this recording error and haven't been able to use it since yesterday evening. The error itself has no information on it, so I do not know what to do to fix it (I will send a screenshot if needed). I have some steps for you to try. Please go through all the Streamlabs settings (click the ⚙️ icon) and screen shot each one or make notes about each setting. The next step will clear the your cache and settings so you'll need those screen shots or notes.

In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Get Support and click the Delete Cache and Restart button. That will clear the aforementioned cache and settings and restart Streamlabs Desktop.

You won't lose your scenes and sources and widget settings.

You might also need to log back in once Streamlabs Desktop restarts.

Let me know how it goes.

Tip, for those settings pages that are long, you can drag the settings window vertically so you can get it all in one screen shot.

With YouTube, once you 'pop out' the chat, close the page with the stream. This is using your download and chat is not that network intensive.

Live streaming uses your upload.

You should be fine reading chat that way.

I would many consecutive speed tests from your computer; make sure nothing else is running that is uploading as that will affect the tests and also make sure no one else in the house is live streaming or uploading. With the test results, make sure that your upload speed is not fluctuating.

Due to compatibility issues with certain anti-cheat systems, Game Capture source may not work with some games, including Valorant.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead

Remove all Game Capture sources related to the game you're trying to capture
Set the game to either windowed mode or borderless windowed mode
Add a new Window Capture source
Select your game from the window list
Change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

If you want to locally record a video in the vertical format, all you need to do is set the appropriate Output Resolution in Streamlabs Desktop at Settings > Video.

I am having an issue with the browser in OBS. For some reason, it keeps pulling up old settings for a website and cutting off the bottom of what I'm doing. It's just a wheel, so it's not the end of the world, but I'm still just trying to get it to show the whole thing. Yes! That's possible!

1. Go to the Alert Box page on the Streamlabs website: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
2. Click Filter Events. Uncheck everything except for Follow.
3. Copy the Widget URL and add a Browser Source and paste in that URL.
4. Go back to the Filter Events button, uncheck Follow and check everything else.
5. Copy the Widget URL and add a new Browser Source (don't reuse the existing one 😉 ) and paste in that URL.
6. Viola!
7. Profit!

• Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
• Launch the installer as administrator.
• Let it install over your existing installation.
• At the end of the installer, don't let it launch Streamlabs Desktop, instead quit the installer.
• Reboot your PC.
• Once your PC is back up, launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and try again.

I don't have any troubleshooting steps for this, sorry. We've had a handful of customers with this issue and the staff want to work directly with them via tickets to gather as much information as possilbe to help understand the cause of this. They prefer that we don't work in parallel here as we usually offer the same troubleshooting steps or since Volunteers can't access the ticket system, we can offer conflicting information which doesn't help anyone.

this issue started today , have been using streamlabs everyday for a month now ... I'm experiencing a persistent issue with Streamlabs Desktop on my MacBook Pro (14-inch, M3 Pro chip, macOS Sonoma 14.6). The interface appears completely glitched — the UI shows up with random speckles, key elements like the editor and overlays aren’t rendering correctly, and the app becomes unusable.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Fully uninstalled and deleted all config and cache files from ~/Library/Application Support/StreamlabsDesktop

Reinstalled the latest version from the website

Toggled hardware acceleration on and off

Ran the app with and without an external display

Forced the app to open with Rosetta (Intel mode)

Verified all macOS permissions (Screen Recording, Accessibility, Full Disk Access)

Despite all of that, the issue persists. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the problem, and I can provide logs if needed.

So kind of old but I have an update. The wifi is under my roommates name and he hasn't called. But he did a stream today and it worked on his PC. Which leads me to believe this may be an issue on my end after all

And I've looked at countless reddit threads and I see a lot of people have this issue but never have a solution. So I'm actually quite worried as this happened out of nowhere. I'm going to try to stream wirelessly and with a new ethernet cable to see if this is an issue. I'm hoping that it's not a hardware issue on my end as I have a nice pc that has good specs. I wish I knew more about this sort of stuff

Just an update, i want to thank @gritty isle for his amazing help. Unfortunately, no matter how smart he or anybody else is in here, they can't fix stupid. I had a lose ethernet connection, and after over a week of endless research and troubleshooting, a simple unplugging and replugging my ethernet cable fixed my issue.

Long story short: please ensure the most basic of steps of troubleshooting are done before reaching out. I'm happy to be streaming again lol

When I stream live on Twitch, my audio volume is perfect. The audio volume on my vods is extremely low though. This is only a recent thing, past vods were great. I don’t know what’s happened, but settings are the same. Any solutions are appreciated 🙂

Dropped Frames are a network issue between you and the Twitch ingest.

To start troubleshooting, please download and run the Twitch Test (see next post).

Run the Twitch Test using Medium or Long Duration and select all the ingests in your region - DON'T ONLY select the ingest closest to you.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

• For 1280x720 at 30FPS use 2200 up to 2800kbps.
• For 1280x720 at 60FPS use 3800 up to 5600kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 30FPS use 4400 up to 6200kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 60FPS use (6000) 8700 up to 12500kbps.
• For 1600x900 or 1536x864 at 60FPS use at least 6000kbps up to 8600kbps.

<Note: These values are based for single-pc streaming setup, using x264 veryfast preset>

Using lower bitrates than listed is possible where allowed by the type of content or when using a better (slower) x264 preset or using RTX NVENC to have 6000kbps for 1080p60.
If you get pixelations on your stream, this would mean there is insufficient bitrate to properly encode the stream for the given content.```

Hey folks, I wanted to reset my Streamlabs account, along with alerts and everything to start over again. I submitted my support ticket before easter, but there's still no response. I tried deleting my account twice but that needs a manual verification and I'm still stuck with my old alerts and everything. On top of that, now when I tried to log into Streamlabs support to see my ticket, I got stuck in a login loop, the site says "user is invalid" and it keeps on refreshing, presumably tried to log me in. I need some help here.

Hello! I set the broadcast quality to 1440, the broadcast quality on YouTube is 1440, and the quality on Twitch is 720. How can I make the broadcast quality on YouTube remain the same (1440), and make it 1080 on Twitch?

If I raise the bitrate higher in the settings (up to 70,000) - then frames start to disappear from the air, but the quality is still 720 in Twitch

@livid crescent the delay is normal, the popping noise is not, but diagnosing it in streamlabs desktop is practically impossible since they hide their logs

Please follow these steps:

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and YouTube will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for YouTube.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your YouTube. This re-establishes the connection.

7. 👉 IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

It's not obvious when you log in, but one of the interstitials will say something like Streamlabs has access to x of 6 scopes. Click there and make sure that all 6 of the boxes are checked and then proceed through the rest of the log in process.

Hello, I've got a issue that is probably a simple fix, after reinstalling Streamlabs on my PC after it crashed(battery back up failure) I cannot get audio from my PS5 in Streamlabs Everything I found in the website is @6 years old. Also it does not show video unless I click configure video in settings.

hopfully someone can help me. when i go live on streamlabs for 4 platforms (youtube 2x, twitch and kick) directly from streamlabs i cant get a solid internet connection. but then if i stream to youtube 2x and then live stream to restream for the twitch and kick itll work then with a solid upload speed

that makes 0 sense in my head but maybe im missing something. ive unlinked and relinked streaming platforms i paid for streamlabs ultimate encoders are up to date drivers are up to date computers been restarted apps been restarted unplughged eth cable and replugged ive restarted my modem and router im so lost here

@scarlet cove "the internet" is a web of physical connections, it's no surprise you'd have a poor connection to some parts of it, but try calling your ISP about this

I have that's the answer I keep getting is that it's gotta be on my ISP end just so weird that I can double stream to YouTube and connect my restream to it to stream to 4 platforms and then as soon as I try to stream direct from twitch and kick and YouTube 2x it straight up it just can't hold more than 4k kbps Ugh so I guess I'll be waiting for my ISP tech to arrive

Is there a way with Cloudbot to define a string variable and edit it with a command? I'm trying to set up a !setmulti command to edit the tail end of a link in another command, but not seeing that we can do custom variables.

Make sure you're set Streamlabs as a Standard Moderator and not a Managing Moderator.
