This may not resolve your original issue but may help with the uploading of the diagnostics:

Please quit Streamlabs Desktop, then download a fresh installer from the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/, run the installer as administrator, let the installer install over your existing installation - no need to uninstall first.

At the end of the installer, it may ask if you want to launch Streamlabs Desktop. Don't let it do that, just quit the installer instead. Then reboot your PC and once it is back up, try again with the diagnostics report.

@gritty isle i managed to fix the problem with the editor not showing up, but i have stumbled on another problem. Whenever i try to game capture Valorant specifically, the game completely freezes and doesnt open properly. Have you by any chance heard anything about that?

Due to compatibility issues with certain anti-cheat systems, Game Capture source may not work with some games, including Valorant.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead

Remove all Game Capture sources related to the game you're trying to capture
Set the game to either windowed mode or borderless windowed mode
Add a new Window Capture source
Select your game from the window list
Change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

Okey, so i got the window capture to work when i changed to windows 10. The problem i am now facing is that i play on a 1280*1024 resolution. When i try to "stretch to screen" the picture goes black.

Also for how i fixed the "no editor" problem if you are curious is that i went in to settings-> get support -> delete cache and restart

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.

Go to your Recent Events page https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents on the Streamlabs web site and check here to make sure that your alerts are not muted.

If that icon is red speaker with a slash, your alerts are muted. Click it to umute them.

Another thing to check is to make sure your Master Alert Volume is not too low, or zero.

So if you have OBS Studio open and in the scene with the Alert Box, click Preview on that Variation and you should see it in the Preview Window in OBS Studio.

• Bring up the properties of the Browser Source you're using for the Alert Box Widget.
• Tick the option Refresh browser when scene becomes active
• Click the Refresh cache of current page
• Click Ok.
• Test the variation again with OBS Studio still open.

That's the only way to test a Variation. If you have an old event that amtches that condition, you can replay that alert from your Recent Events page.

If you have a previous $100 donation, you can replay that old alert and that should trigger this variation to play.

Sorry, I've been in a game and had notifications muted.

An update to Streamlabs Desktop should not cause that issue. Is this for Twitch or Kick?

For now. please download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer and run the installer as administrator. Let the installer install over your existing installation - NO need to uninstall first.

At the end of the installer, it may ask if you want to launch Streamlabs Desktop - don't let it do that. Rather, quit the installer and reboot your PC.

If you're issue is with Kick, please make sure your bitrate is 8000 or less and that you've set the stream title and category.

If you're issue is with Twitch, please run the Twitch Test below. Use Medium or *Long& duration. Short Duration sounds great but it will give inconsistent data.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

-Remove the Browser Source you have for the Chatbox from every scene where you have it
-Close OBS Studio
-Hit windows key + R
-Paste this and hit enter %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser
-Delete the cache folder
-Start up OBS Studio again
-Add the Browser Source for the Chatbox back where you need it.

hello everyone, im totally new here. so i apologize if this isnt the correct place to ask this, but i am having trouble with setting up my stream labs, totally new to all of this. i have gotten my overlays set up and my web cam and gameplay set up but any stream label that i try to use does not work unless it is only numbers, it will not show any text. so for example, the label i am trying to set up is the most recent followers label. all it will do is create a long skinny box that grows into a gigantic mess if you try to expand it on the screen once placed. but if i use an option that shows numbers it will show up correct, for example total follower count will show up as (256). ive watched endless youtube videos on this with no resolve.

the only other thing that MAY be a factor is that i started off with only a verticle monitor and it messed my resolution settings up for screen capture which i went into video options and changed it and it was fine on my new monitor.

any help is greatly appreciated, impulling my hair out just trying to get this set up!

and yes, i am logged into twitch correctly, and have tried closing the app and deleting the source and recreating it multiple times

That means the YouTube channel you’re trying to merge is already merged in another Streamlabs account.

I would log out of the Streamlabs web site, then log in with that YouTube channel. That will tend to tell you what Streamlabs ID is associated with the YouTube channel. Then log out of the web site and log in with that Streamlabs ID. Then you should be able to unmerge that YouTube. Then log out of the web site again and log in with the other Streamlabs Id for the account where you want that YouTube and then finally merge it.

Let's refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. ** It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time. **

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. ** PLEASE Don't skip this step! **

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

To do that, you need three scenes, Starting, Gaming, Break. Then set hot keys for each so you can switch. Then add the Viewer Count Widget and Chatbox Widget in the scenes where you want them to appear; make sure the two Widgets are at the top of the Source list.

I need help with Alerts for OBS. When testing the alert widget it works on my stream, but when someone subscribes nothing happens. Recent Events isnt up to date, and also this is for youtube live streaming. Can anyone help?

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Again, if you don’t have a capture card installed, you won’t be able to use Streamlabs services when streaming from your PS. You can certainly stream from your Mac with Streamlabs Desktop.

You would want the Chatbot Widget and the Alert Box Widget.

Unsubscribe and resubscribe won’t trigger an alert! That is done to,prevent someone from spamming your alerts.

You need a subscribe from a viewer who has their subscriptions set to public and who has never ever subscribed to you before.

Please follow these steps:

-make sure streamlabs desktop is allowed through the firewall: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-open-your-windows-firewall

-go into streamlabs desktop settings > advanced > network and bind the ip (typically the one beginning in 192 or 10 from the drop-down menu)

-remove all collab cam sources from all scenes > re-add as new or try a new scene collection entirely

-go in streamlabs desktop settings > advanced > audio and make sure their audio monitoring device is set to the device they want to hear audio in (ex. headphones) -- if it is already, try swapping it to default, closing SLD, re-launching, changing it back to the specific device

-make sure their audio devices in their streamlabs desktop settings > audio matches what they have in their windows sound settings

-possibly check the exclusive control setting on their computer just to rule that out.

Hey, if there's any staff on, it might be good to make an anouncement of some sort about this to better help mitigate people experiencing this problem. My first thought when 7TV went down was that there might have been a problem with Streamlabs, and i'm sure i'm not the only one thinking that way

Scratch that, i know i'm not the only one thinking that way, as a few other people have come forth on here to report the same problem

The issue with the chatbox has been resolved, so we're working on updating that known issues post now. 7TV emotes will still not work due to an outage in their API, but we'll make a new post to specify the issue since it's a bit different now. 🙏 Users should be able to re-enable 7TV without it breaking the entire chatbox now.

If approved by TikTok, you would have to log out and log in with your TikTok before you go live.

Seems the path between your cable modem and the Twitch ingest is not stable.

Please run the Twitch Test - see the next post.

Choose Medium or Long Duration. Do not use Short Duration.

Choose all the ingests in your region. DON’T only choose the nearest ingested. Screen shot the results.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Streamlabs Desktop itself has not chat notifications. There is a soft ding sound when there is a new announcement or news update. That might be what you’re hearing?

no sound so far, but i dont want to temp fate as the trigger timing is completely random and has sometimes taken a many minutes to trigger 😂

I connected my Youtube account to Streamlabs and when i want to start Live streaming to Youtube its says "The request to the platform failed."

In Streamlabs Desktop, please log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

Then go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP.

If the drop-down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop-down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10.

After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

not sure if the right place to post this, but after letting streamlabs auto update to 1.18.3 my twitch stream no longer works - everything looks fine (frame rate, no dropped frames, etc), my stream title updates, but I remain offline. I tried reinstalling, rebooting, and using a stream key instead of recommended twitch integration. OBS streaming works fine. I downgraded by uninstalling and reinstalling from an old installer I had in my downloads folder and Twitch works again. Is there a known issue with 1.18.3? I am not multi-streaming

the data rate looks pretty sus to me, since it's a 30fps 1920x1080 stream with audio as well. my network connectivity and all of that is fine, and if I 'record' that works too. Just streaming seems to be broken

Make sure your bitrate isn’t over 6000.

Log out in Streamlabs Desktop. Go to Twitch and reset your stream key. Wait a a few minutes. Log in in Streamlabs Desktop and see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I tried both with a custom stream key, and with logging out of stream labs. Same issue with 1.18.3. I also did reset my stream key and tried with the new one, and no luck. All works properly on OBS and an older version of Streamlabs.

This is obnoxious. Every time I add content to my lower third scrolling chyron it disappears. I was previously guided to fix a sizing issue. Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. Are you saying your Streamlabs Mobile scenes don't match the scenes in Streamlabs Desktop? If that is the case, this would be intended. Streamlabs Mobile scenes are set up separately and are not tied to the scenes set up in Streamlabs Desktop on Windows/Mac.

Mobile scenes should show up on Twitch - I think I may have initially misunderstood your question. Some things on iOS cannot show up (certain graphics/widgets) due to limitations with iOS. But you should be able to have the ability to set up scenes on mobile and stream to Twitch with those scenes. If you're having trouble, please provide us with more information (what it/isn't showing), and we can assist you further. Feel free to send screenshots that may help us better understand what you're experiencing on your end.

I need help right now, the program I was using for live streams went bad out of nowhere and I ended up downloading labs, but the ALT key doesn't work for PUSH TO TALK and I need it, I can only do live streams with Push to talk because of the noise here at home

You can't use ALT or CTRL by themselves. Has to be a dual key like ALT-X or CTRL-A. Some key press that isn't assigned to any application that you might have running.

@devout nimbus You can use autohotkey for this, remapping the left alt key to F23. obs-studio can recognize F13 through F24 as hotkeys. Here's a script file, as well as a compiled binary if you'd prefer not to compile it from autohotkey yourself.

@devout nimbus no guide, either install autohotkey and run the .ahk, or run the .exe, then anytime you press left alt, it'll register as if F23 was pressed, so you can now go to settings>hotkeys and bind left alt there
quit the script from the system tray when you don't need it

Hi, my streamlabs OBS was working perfectly last week Friday and then today after the update, whenever OBS is open my headphones audio is completelyed muted. Streamlabs shows everyone else can hear it but I can't hear anything. The device my PC is set to as output is the same as the one in OBS. I have 0 idea how to fix this, I've even reinstalled the older version in hopes it was a version issue. My headphones are bluetooth and worked perfectly fine for years w streamlabs up until now. I've re-paired the device, I've swapped around the Streamlabs output and my computer's (windows 11) output. Nothing seems to work

EDIT: I have swapped to the alt audio option my headphones has and that one works but it sounds... so crunchy and bad...for some reason the usual option isn't working?

Dang, that's more difficult to troubleshoot.

I would try this:

• Make sure Streamlabs Desktop is allowed through your Windows Firewall.
• In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Advanced > Network and make sure the Bind to IP is set to Default.
• Shut down your computer.
• Pull the power cable from your cable modem.
• Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes.
• Plug the power cable back into the cable modem and let the cable modem come up fully.
• Power on your computer and let it come fully up.
• See how it goes from there.

I am having 2 issues and 1 question.

1. I have croma green and apply the color key filter and nothing gets keyed out, even tried pasting in the exact code. For example removing the green screen in a camera.

That would be hard to troubleshoot. I would open Streamlabs Desktop, go to the scene with the Alert Box and replay that follow. If it plays fine, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I keep getting the same error over and over again when trying to record. There is no note or anything saying what kind of error it is, just a blank error screen with "ok" and the X in top right. Haven't found a solution on youtube or reddit lmfao

Let's check a few settings.

At Settings > Output > Recording, is the Recording Path a valid path and can you create files in that folder?

At Settings > Advanced > Video, is the Color Format set to NV12, the YUV Color Space set to Rec. 709, and the YUV Color Range set to Limited?

At Settings > Advanced > Recording, is the Filename Formatting set to %CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm-%ss?

Back at Settings > Output > Replay Buffer, is the Replay Buffer enabled? If so, disable it.

One customer was able to resolve this by emptying the contents of their Windows temp folder.

Probably is a exclusive control issue or a thing similar to that.

Click your Start Menu in Windows and type "Change system sounds" and hit enter. Click the Playback tab and/or Recording tab and right-click your microphone/headphones and click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box for "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". You should also do this for your microphone/headphones under the respective tab. https://i.imgur.com/UkPogow.png

You should also make sure to disable "enable audio enhancements" under "signal enhancements" too. you'll need to restart Streamlabs Desktop (and maybe your computer)

@silver kraken @lusty pecan @hallow pivot I mean it really depends on if you're having dropped frames or not. Dropped frames is a very specific error message that pops up in Streamlabs Desktop. If you're having that you can follow some of the troubleshooting here: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/dropped-frames-cpugpu-issues-and-improving-stream-quality

If you're not getting that specific error or you're getting a different error, you can try the suggestions there but also a clean install of gpu drivers helps with skipped and lagged frames (which it's not on there. not sure why) https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/clean-install-of-graphics-driver-tutorial

I would try what I found here from one of their tech team:

1. Log out of Streamlabs.com (you can use this link to force a logout https://streamlabs.com/logout) and any Streamlabs software such as Streamlabs Desktop (you can do so from the bottom left)
2. Go to https://twitter.com
3. Go to Settings and Privacy > Security and Account Access > Apps and Sessions > Connected Apps > Streamlabs
4. Click Revoke App permissions
5. Once you have done this, please log in to streamlabs.com or Streamlabs Desktop with your X(Twitter) account.

Then see about going live to just twitter. If that works then you can try multistreaming

I'm having an issue with the server Streamlabs is starting my Twitch stream on. Im in Orlando, its connecting to a server in Virginia instead of Miami and causing huge issues. Problem is, I stream to Twitch, Tiktok, Facebook and Youtube. Is there a way to get Twitch connected in Miami without using a custom ingest and losing my Ultra Benefit of multistreaming? If you're no longer using their plug-in, I would go to your Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it. If it doesn't appear there, download a fresh Reaper installer, run the installer, reboot your PC, then uninstall it.

That's difficult to troubleshoot.

Create from scratch the scene with the capture source (game capture, window capture, display capture). Don't copy/paste the sources over to the new scene. Once the new scene is built, delete the old scene and rename it the new scene to the old name.

Due to compatibility issues with certain anti-cheat systems, Game Capture source may not work with some games, including Valorant.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead

Remove all Game Capture sources related to the game you're trying to capture
Set the game to either windowed mode or borderless windowed mode
Add a new Window Capture source
Select your game from the window list
Change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

Let's refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. ** It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time. **

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. ** PLEASE Don't skip this step! **

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

so the headphones vs speakers is just the auto listing for my rodecaster, speakers is the main audio for it, the headphones i only had music going through and my headphones did not use that line it used the main line

Every time I open Streamlabs, Valorant freezes, but other games run fine. I've tried multiple fixes, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas on how to solve this?

@somber steppe this will be fixed sometime later this year; until then, either use display capture, or use obs-studio version 30.2.3 or older (don't update to any 31.0.x versions, obs-studio update 31.1 will have a fix for this, which streamlabs desktop will have copied in another few days/weeks)

Due to compatibility issues with certain anti-cheat systems, Game Capture source may not work with some games, including Valorant.

As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead

Remove all Game Capture sources related to the game you're trying to capture
Set the game to either windowed mode or borderless windowed mode
Add a new Window Capture source
Select your game from the window list
Change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

I stream Call of duty @ 1080p 60 fps with these settings. (500 up and 500 down wifi) Stream looks crisp when im not moving (in between games) then when I’m running around it gets blurry and almost unwatchable at times. Anybody know how to fix this?

I’m not an expert by any measure but your bitrate is low for 1080 60. 6000-12000 is for that. 3000-6000 is more for 30 fps. Try increasing and test it out

Nevermind. I did see that you are using AMD encoder .. Its not problem of your upload speed or settings. Its the AMD encoder which is not good for Twitch unfortunately.

yes everything works but you need to get streamlabs ultra for that. May be expensive but definitely worth it as you cant get tips/overlay and spruce up your twitch channel without it. I watched youtube videos on how to do it. pretty simple and fast

If Cloudbot is not regularly used, it will be toggled off to conserve resources. If you stream infrequently, I recommend adding a step to your workflow to check Cloudbot before you go live.

Do you have any streaming platfform connected to your streamlabs account, the one you are trying to connect via API APP the stream deck?

Check in the platforms if you have any and you can also revoke the access to the Stream Deck via the API settings and try to reconnect.

Also make sure that on your stream deck on the connected accounts ytou have the right streamlabs account.
