YouTube?

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

YouTube does this to comply with privacy laws, like Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): https://www.ftc.gov/legal-library/browse/rules/childrens-online-privacy-protection-rule-coppa and others.

Sadly still did not work. Error still popped up. For some time I was able to stream just fine even after my name change, but yesterday it started acting up. I believe it has to do something with another streamlabs account I made, but I recently deleted the account entirely. Another other solutions?

Then something else is up. Basically, the error means that the token that Streamlabs Desktop has, the Twitch name in there doesn't match your Twitch channel name.

Let's verify something. Please go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms on the Streamlabs web site and screen shot all the platforms you have merged.

Interesting.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time.

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

How to remove Black Bars from your stream

• In Windows Display Settings, you would need to make sure you have a 16:9 monitor resolution (Typically 1920x1080)
• In the game you're playing, you would want the render resolution to be 16:9 as well. (Basically matching info from above)
• In Streamlabs Desktop > Settings > Video > Base Resolution, that would also need to be 16:9 resolution (Same as above)

If any of those things are not being done, then your stream is not going to be true 16:9 and your game will have black bars.

• You can select the capture source in your sources list > right click it > transform > fit/stretch to screen, should help```

Last thing I can suggest is logging out again in Streamlabs Desktop, go to your Twitch channel and reset your stream key, wait at least minutes, and then log back in in Streamlabs Desktop and try and go live again. Let me what happens.

@gentle oracle keep windows' volume mixer (sndvol.exe) open on a second display, and glance at it the next time you hear this sound; if it had to guess, it's probably a browser tab
@fossil goblet for DXGI display capture to work, the display must be connected at the time you're launching streamlabs desktop, so restarting it should help; some anti-virus products can also prevent display capture, windows defender definitely doesn't do that, but try disabling other such products, if you have any

I'm not really sure, I don't know much about OBS. I did a quick google search, looks like it's when somebody is going live on youtube and the stream isnt scheduled. Apparently you can fix it by managing the broadcast and schedule it. Then it will let you go live.

You won't be able to stream to teh same channel at the same time from 2 devices. You will have to bring one of those devices to the other and setup a second capture.

If you go to YouTube Studio https://studio.youtube.com/, click Settings (lower left), then Channel, then Feature eligibility, are at least the first two sections Enabled?

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Hello, does anyone know if it's possible to have my tiktok stream chat shown in the "multistream" chat window as well? I notice theres a dropdown menu I can click, but I can only see Twitch as an option there.

Yeah, I have a subscription too and have tried for days to work with their "Tech Support" but I the support guy only sends me one email per day so nothing is getting done. The only thing showing up on my Twitch feed is my little Ghost logo. No Xbox video. Its frustrating!

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

If you have just a Streamlabs Console subscription, make sure you're signing in the Streamlabs Console web site with your Twitch and not your Streamlabs ID. The singular Console subscription perfers the Twitch log in.

If you have a Streamlabs Ultra subscription (includes Streamlabs Console), then make sure your logging in with your Streamlabs ID and not your Twitch.

That's about all I can suggest since you're working in a ticket. They prefer us not to assist if you have an active ticket to prevent duplicating troubleshooting steps or perhaps giving conflicting information; us Volunteers don't have access to the tickets since we're not employees.

Let's check a few settings.

At Settings > Output > Recording, is the Recording Path a valid path and can you create files in that folder?

At Settings > Advanced > Video, is the Color Format set to NV12, the YUV Color Space set to Rec. 709, and the YUV Color Range set to Limited?

At Settings > Advanced > Recording, is the Filename Formatting set to %CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm-%ss?

Back at Settings > Output > Replay Buffer, is the Replay Buffer enabled? If so, disable it.

One customer was able to resolve this by emptying the contents of their Windows temp folder.

Hey! I have my C920 webcam setup in sources. Nothing shows from it despite it working everywhere else.

Another issue is that I cannot even change the settings. It just shows the properties page infinitely loading despite trying everything from admin mode to turning off hardware accel.

Delete that video capture source from each scenes where it’s used and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
Go to Windows Device Manager, locate the Camera device, right click on it, and choose Uninstall device.
Unplug the camera from your system and reboot the PC.
Once the PC is back up, plug in the camera and let Windows detect it and set it up.
Launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and then add the Video Capture Device source back.

If you still have issues, try these steps again but move the camera to a different USB port. Don’t use a USB Hub.

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

OK, let me add some more information to my previous post. Video from XBox console will not transmit to Streamlabs Console. Works on another platform but not SL. When I go live from Xbox to SL, my cursor pointer has a blue circle that spins intermittently. Its like the video is trying to work, but something is keeping it from working. I have tried all of the tutorials, instructions and everything SL support could provide me. Still nothing working.

Yes, please, in Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > General and click the button to clear the cache. If prompted, restart Streamlabs Desktop. This may clear settings like Encoder, Bitrate, etc so make a note of those settings first.

Try clearing the Streamlabs Desktop cache manually.

• Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
• Copy: %appdata% then press the Windows Key on your keyboard, press CTRL + V then press Enter.
• This will put you into your roaming folder, scroll down until you see " slobs-client ".
• Rename it to " _slobs-client ".
• Launch Streamlabs Desktop as Administrator when launching.

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your game capture and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: unknown.png). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

How to remove Black Bars from your stream

• In Windows Display Settings, you would need to make sure you have a 16:9 monitor resolution (Typically 1920x1080)
• In the game you're playing, you would want the render resolution to be 16:9 as well. (Basically matching info from above)
• In Streamlabs Desktop > Settings > Video > Base Resolution, that would also need to be 16:9 resolution (Same as above)

If any of those things are not being done, then your stream is not going to be true 16:9 and your game will have black bars.

• You can select the capture source in your sources list > right click it > transform > fit/stretch to screen, should help```

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The viewer would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Gents I am trying to use a track matte for a transition. I am making a custom one. I have connected 2 videos, one with black, and one with white. From my understanding this should work but when I transition I only see the left (black) side of the video. Any ideas?

For the record I've spend a total of 3 hours trying to get this to work and have scoured google trying to find a solution that works. This is pretty much my last resort.

I FIXED IT!!!!! So if anyone comes around looking for the solution. When you export, try exporting to WebM, make sure the left (black) part of the stinger is actually transparent and then export with alpha channel enabled!

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. ** It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time. **

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. ** PLEASE Don't skip this step! **

The api you were using is end of life. That site has the new api to use. You may want to reach out to the developer. There was talk of having to reauth for it to work. I’m not familiar enough with that stuff to tell you how to do that.

-Re-install the Streamlabs Mobile application
-Create a new scene > see if the issue persists in that new scene

Streamlabs has no other way to assign an email to your account, so it's either a Streamlabs ID, or tied to your primary.

That option adds delay. Enabling it and setting it to zero will not give you zero delay. Please uncheck that option. Stream delay is a fact of streaming. The packets have to be encoded, sent from your computer over the internet to the ingest then recoded for the viewer and finally delivered to those watching. For YouTube, make sure you're using Low Latency.

5 seconds is really good actually. I usually have around 12 seconds. The only way to have zero delay would be to go to the datacenter where the YouTube ingest is located and connect to that network. Of course that's not possible. Delay is something you're going to have to learn to live with.

Hello, I am experiencing some issues while streaming.

My stream keeps lagging immensely and causing stability issues while mulit-streaming.
This has been an ongoing problem for weeks now and causing serious 'skipped frames'. I have lowered my encoder settings and changed the resolution to ease the load on my NVIDIA GPU. For some reason, this issue occurs when entering larger areas in games or during cut-scenes.

I would love any advice on what to do here. Apart from having my PC checkout by a specialist, I do not know what to do?

Skipped frames means that the Encoder overloaded, commonly high CPU usage if you're using the x264 encoder. Please screen shot Settings > Video and Settings > Output.

Thanks for the response Rufus! Here are a screenshot of the settings I'm using and still experiencing problems. I want to run a 1080p 60fps multistream on Twitch & TikTok but I seem to keep skipping frames. So I've lowered the encoder settings and running a 720p 60fps stream instead (Screenshots).

My hardware parts consist of;

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X (CPU)
ASUS PRIME x570-PRO (Motherboard)
32GB DDR4 RAM

Seems like a pretty powerful PC and has been for years however, since starting the TikTok streams back in July 2024 I've been experiencing serious lag (which is costing me new viewers etc.) Am I missing any important features that need to be addressed? Thanks

Where are you trying to stream to? We don’t see those very often. Usually means you’ve used or spammed the service too much and they stopped you. I’ve seen it with X, I believe their reset is 24h.

I have recently since bought a new capture card and I am still having the same issue. My mic on my headset works fine, but no game sounds coming through at all. I don't know how to adjust my audio settings on my streamlabs to make my game sounds come through. hello! I really need some help! Im Streaming for one year 24/7 365, Im currently on day 16 of my challenge! which means I need a way to stream myself riding a motorcycle then come home to my pc/mac and switch camera angles to my webcam and window capture source, all while live. Ive been using the stream labs mobile app for the IRL part, however Im unable to switch the stream to my phone while live on youtube. This works on twitch, but youtube is where my main audience is. Ive taken a new approach and am trying to use mevo multi cam app which allows me to switch angles really well as long as im on the same wifi connection (im going to get a moblie wifi router tmr) however I can not connect to the multicam app with my mac.

my question is, is there a way to connect mevo multi-cam to stream labs? I used my streamlabs ID to sign into the pro version of mevo multi-cam so I assume there is, but I can't find any videos anywhere. if there are any other solutions to my problems I'd love to hear it! I've never been a serious streamer before so I'm figuring it out all on the go and will probably be asking more questions haha

So Dual Output works differently than multi streaming. With Dual Output, your computer is responsible for generating both streams. So what’s happening is that your video card isn’t able to keep up with what’s being asked if it. I would reduce the graphical options in the game. If you have uncapped FPS in the game, cap the FPS to 60. Beyond that I don’t have much more to suggest.

Regarding the 'Multi-streaming' option via the Ultra subscription service, would this still be performing the same action? Double rendering, more workload etc? I currently multi-stream on Twitch & TikTok in 2 different formats (vertical & horizontal) with certain changes etc to cater for both platforms individually. Could you explain about the ultra service and what it exactly does please?

I know my system is considered 'outdated' as of nowadays, so to combat that I tend to lower my graphics settings in game anyway to reduce the strain on my GPU while streaming and achieve the maximum frames possible. I have also taken advice from other instructional videos from yourselves to cap my frame rate at 120 or in some cases 60 (while playing more demanding games) and I have seen a great improvement!

Hello! I have a problem with the StreamLabs alerts/activity feed and it turns out that some subscriptions do not appear in the recent events list but do appear in the Twitch activity list, where it appears that they have subscribed with Prime or any other type of subscription, which causes the alert not to jump in the live stream, some of these subscriptions do appear in the streamlabs and functions list but others do not and I do not know the reason, I attach images!

The Streamlabs Ultra multi-streaming service sends one stream to Streamlabs and then we send it along to the channels you have merged in your Streamlabs account and enabled when you go live.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

Not that I can think of. It is not really a broke with Streamlabs Desktop. If you're pressing W to move forward and also press the key combination for push to talk, the push to talk hotkey press may not be recognized as your also actively pressing W.

You probably just need to refresh the connection. Log out of streamlabs desktop and close it. Then go into the twitch website and reset your stream key. Give it about 5 mins (don’t be impatient). Then log back into streamlabs. Should pick you back up.

Solution I found...
Settings ...video to 1080p on both base canvas and scaled res...

Under settings...output (advanced)
I set the stream encoder to different hardware...

X264 on stream with rescale output on to 720p (uses cpu)
And in recording I set it to nvenc hevc rescale off...(uses gpu)

And NO... setting it two different encoders that work on the same hardware cpu only /gpu only it doesn't work

Video stays the same resolution as stream ...

After using above method...
Now my stream is 720p...
While recording is 1080p..
No quality loss...

With speakers, your microphone might be picking up that audio and transmitting it back on stream. Use the headphones to avoid that.

This is possible with Nvidia cards. If you use the NVENC (not the new one), there's should be a recale option at Settings > Output > Recording. I don't have the relavent screen shot handy at the moment.

Not sure if AMD enconders can do that.

Actually it looks like the new one may work. For recording, set the encoder to 'Same a streaming encoder'. Selecting a different encoder causes more work for your GPU.

For Cloudbot, yes, but you have to setup the loyalty system and add sound effects to the loyalty store. It’s a bit easier with Chatbot but has a steeper learning curve, especially if you’ve never used it. And it requires a second platform account to use for the bot.

For League of Legends, we advise the following setup.

Client & Pre-game lobby should utilize a Window capture source https://i.imgur.com/poIYSr8.png

Make sure the League Client window is selected in the Properties of the Capture Source.

In-game should utilize a Game Capture source https://i.imgur.com/CFvruTn.jpeg

Finally, I would also suggest running League of Legends in Borderless Windowed Mode.

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Make sure Streamlabs is a moderator on your channel or if you have Streamlabs Ultra and you're using the Custom Bot Name make sure the bot channel is a moderator on your streamer channel. Also make sure that they are not banned on your channel.

Well that’s odd. I’m going to be honest with you, there is no way I will be able to tell what happened. If you absolutely want to know, you can submit a ticket.
