Hello!! I streamed earlier today and all my alerts were working just fine, but when I went live again a few hours later none of them would pop up with its corresponding twitch event! Plus my streamlabels is also not updating properly with new events. (I also noticed on the dashboard it didn't pick up my most recent stream)
The tests events I click on the websites working in OBS though
Also replaying old events already in streamlabels works, but still not updating anything

I tried the fix I saw Rufus v2025 post earlier today about trying to re-establish the link between twitch and streamlabs but even after doing so, it didn't work for me.
Is there anything else I can do?

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your game capture and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: unknown.png). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

No. Clearing the hook folder should have done that. It could be that the game's publisher didn't update the white list that allows game capture to work with their game. Nothing you can do about that.

Hey everyone, happy new year! Im having an issue that i can't seem to figure out, so ive come to ask for help.

I have an Apollo Solo USB, and it works fine with the output , but for some reason my mic won't pick up. I've checked to make sure i have the right device selected (tried default too) , and ive tried removing the mic and adding it back.
(I checked the UAD console, and it shows the mic is registering in the console itself)

If anyone has any information on how i can fix this, i would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Nevermind, i have figured out the solution. For anyone having a similar issue, i solved this by downloading a Virtual IO (Voicemeter Banana) and linked it to that. Then just set your MIC to A/B(Whatever number input you chose on the program)

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.

hello i used to have streamlabs. i logged in etc etc i never got it to work so i stopped using it. i took a break, and now im back i got it to work but i wana stream on youtube. but when i go to settings > stream i coudnt paste the stream key into the encoder. ( i logged in on youtube but nothing else )

When you log in that way, Streamlabs Desktop reads your stream key for you. You don't have to manually enter it.

Only time you would have to manually enter your stream key would be if you're streaming via the custom ingest.

I've always just labeled them 'dead' and hidden them but I think the sheer number of them is causing poor performance. Does anyone know why I can't delete them? PayPal has a security feature. If you’ve made a major account change (I believe password change is one of the triggers), you can’t make any other changes. Last I checked it was 24 hours. I am currently testing the "connection"/Upload of the stream and it only drops the connection when I start or am in a game, for example offline in steam, webfishing offline. And when it drops, after I close everything it remains at that stage with 250kb/s. Shouldn't there be something with the connection pathing or something like that ? or that the port that its using is overflown ? Because it doesnt affect like other games like Helldivers 2, Lethal company and or League of Legends, where as in League the connection is stable and a 22ms ping. offstream ofcourse

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your game capture and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: unknown.png). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

👉 And I’ll be picking my dog up from the vet and driving home in about 20 minutes, I’ll be unavailable as I’m definitely not texting and driving.

The headphones are not being recognized by the mobile app, though the system (mobile phone) recognizes them and they can play audio. As a result, they can not hear others in the podcast. Hello, has anyone else been experiencing issues with streamlabs now going live or bugging out when going love for example I have dual out put enabled on both tiktok and twitch and when I go live it'll have me cancel the first time and then go live again to properly start the stream on both outputs

@frank frigate nah, that's not how it works, streamlabs' paid re-streaming service sends your video feed as-is - though i'm not sure how it works in context of 1 horizontal and 1 vertical stream, maybe it's different then, but try 6 mbps anyways

Sounds like something in those files is corrupt. I would remove them, or if you can't remove them. Do a full uninstall of streamlabs deskop. Then make sure whatever folder you're trying to install into is completely empty so streamlabs can create everything new.

Hey guys! Maybe somone here will help. I've created a 10 second WEBM to use for an alert, I've set the Alert length to about 8 seconds in SL. When I test it, the webm ends at about 3 seconds, but loops like 3 times. I've got my animations set to fade in/out. No customer CSS or HTML right now. No matter how many times I remove and reupload the Webm, or try different length webm's it stops at about 3 seconds.

It's how windows uninstalls programs. If you have windows 10 you can go to settings > add/remove programs. If you have windows 11. It's settings > apps > installed apps

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

You're so welcome - I'm really glad I could help! This helped me realize that there could be a banner or notification on that window that says "Please be sure you have a campaign selected" or something that will help users understand why the widget may not be showing up. I'm sorry for the trouble!

If you decide to change your charity in the future, all you should need to do is head to that Settings page > Integrations > swap over to the other charity in that menu. Then you should be good to go!

It looks like you have your resolution set to a mobile-friendly/vertical resolution. You should be able to change this by going into your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Video and change both your "canvas" and "output" resolution to 1920x1080. That should resolve it for you!

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Whenever I try to stream I always end up getting this message, I've looked over youtube over 5 or more videos and none of their solutions work. (And if you're going to tell me to try to change my network from default to my actual IP I've already done this)

^ quick background to how this happened, I was streaming and everything was normal until youtube stopped my stream for a copytright claim. It wasn't a ban or anything like that just a warning. Now every time I try to stream it gives me this message. How can I escape this horrible predicament I'm in.

^also how do I make it so that my events and alerts actually come in when someone subscribes. I cannot seem to figure this out, I've tried making completly new alerts and events through sources on both the app and web browser streamlabs and none of my events actually load in and neither does my alerts.

Sounds like YouTube may have suspended your live streaming capabilities. I’d log into your YouTube Studio and check.

Sometimes its not obvious and you have to actually go an tick the a few boxes to update permissions. I would log out and log back in a carefully examine the screens.

At Settings > Output > Recording, is the Recording Path a valid path and can you create files in that folder?

At Settings > Advanced > Video, is the Color Format set to NV12, the YUV Color Space set to Rec. 709, and the YUV Color Range set to Limited?

At Settings > Advanced > Recording, is the Filename Formatting set to %CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm-%ss?

Back at Settings > Output > Replay Buffer, is the Replay Buffer enabled?

Valorant's anti-cheat features break the ability for game capture to work. You'll have to use Window Capture instead.

All I know is that I've seen lots of people reporting it lately here and at the OBS Studio discord. Something with Valorant has changed.

Due to compatibility issues with certain anti-cheat systems, OBS Studio's Game Capture source may not work with some games. As a workaround, please use Window Capture instead:

• Add a new Window Capture source.
• Select your game from the window list.
• Change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

Change the encoder to Hardware and for now, leave Settings open right there and don't change anything else.

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your game capture and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: unknown.png). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

Users can run into a multitude of issues when streaming to Twitch using a bitrate above 6k. It has nothing to do with what your upload speed can or cannot handle - this is a Twitch limitation. That is why they were trying to ask/confirm.

That being said, the viewing options that are available via Twitch are determined by Twitch entirely and not something that can be adjusted on Streamlabs' side. If you are still running into the same issue when using a bitrate of 6,000 or lower, we recommend reaching out to Twitch directly.

Myself and another user were able to get this page to load after spamming the refresh button, but this is a known issue that users have been experience when streaming to TikTok over the last few days. We believe it's on TikTok's end somehow, but our team will be checking into this ASAP.

Hello! So I have been trying to figure out how to fix this as I can't remember and haven't found any resources to help. Basically in the past if I turned off "low light compensation" the grainy look of the video output would be fixed, but recently when I click it off nothing changes. I've used this camera before and been able to get good resolution and image quality as it's a 4k camera. Here's what it looks like now.

Recommended bitrate values versus used resolution and FPS.

• For 1280x720 at 30FPS use 2200 up to 2800kbps.
• For 1280x720 at 60FPS use 3800 up to 5600kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 30FPS use 4400 up to 6200kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 60FPS use (6000) 8700 up to 12500kbps.
• For 1600x900 or 1536x864 at 60FPS use at least 6000kbps up to 8600kbps.

<Note: These values are based for single-pc streaming setup, using x264 veryfast preset>

Using lower bitrates than listed is possible where allowed by the type of content or when using a better (slower) x264 preset or using RTX NVENC to have 6000kbps for 1080p60.
If you get pixelations on your stream, this would mean there is insufficient bitrate to properly encode the stream for the given content.```

However, I and a few others have been struggling for2 days now to both upload diagnostic codes for our streams that keep failing and lagging out because the tiktok side is crashing and the chat not showing up despite us signing u p and paying for multiusream specifically because we were promise we could stream from Tiktok. Now we are unable to connect to our chats, which makes the service almost completely useless as we can't reach our chats to communicate to our audience

Is anyone else having trouble with tiktok live center? (not live studio). My last 2 streams when I pop out the chat to enlarge it, it just shows a grey screen with no chat messages/no ability to type anywhere. So I have to rely on the very small amount of the chat that I can see within the website. My live also ends when I try to look at the real-time performance live analytics (where it shows live viewers/likes/diamonds) which has never happened in the past.
This is what I see with the pop out chat (Was told to ask streamlabs discord even though this is a tiktok live problem)

hii!! I've scoured everywhere I know besides here. I was setting up SLobs because OBS Studio isn't wanting to cooperate, and everything was fine. I changed one setting on my chatbox, I got the "verify you're human" screen in the capture box, and now I can't log in at all.

Hi. I’m having problems being unable to stream to twitch or Facebook on mobile. Twitch gives me an error code 401 status unacceptable. Facebook gives me a 200 error code auth exception. I logged out of twitch and Streamlabs on both desktop and phone
