Having issues with Streamlabs Desktop not capturing and just getting a black screen?

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.
• This means you will want to start interacting with the "game" for about 5-20 seconds before it will be detected.
• Also try running Streamlabs Desktop as admin and if using Game Capture, try using the "Capture Specific Window" option.

Every time I close my streamlabs, my application audio is not working properly and I have to remove it and readd it every time. Spotify and discord application settings do not apply and it has everything playing. I have desktop audio muted. When I start my stream, on the starting soon screen, I only want to have spotify playing and everything else muted but it seems to screw up every time. I have everything but spotify muted, but for some reason I dont get any audio with Spotify. I also want discord muted but it still plays my discord conversations whenever other people talk.

There is a ridiculous echo as well with everyone on discord

I'd make sure you have you split audio setup correctly. My gut says you still have your Desktop Audio device set rather than disabled.

I have desktop audio muted. I have 2 instances of application audio capture. One for discord, one for spotify. The one for spotify is set to full volume but is not outputting anything on stream. Discord is muted and IS outputting on stream

Having everything unmuted works as expected. Discord refuses to be muted and spotify wont play unless desktop audio is enabled

I’m trying to export a scene collection to another device but it’s not working/maybe doing it wrong. I have streamlabs signed into the same account on two devices and last time I switched devices it saved automatically so idk what I’m doing.
I first went to settings-scene collection-export overlay file. I saved that to google drive, downloaded it on my desktop, tried to import using the same path. But it’s not working.

Log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP in the upper right and choose Log out. Then clear the cache in that web browser for all time, navigate back to the Streamlabs web site, log in with your X account, and try again.

Only other thing I could think of is that Discord considers this account too new for this promotion.

If the log out/log in doesn’t work, I’d reach out to Discord for assistance.

A while back my alerts stopped working and only default twitch and YT donation alerts pop now. I didn't change my settings. I've checked and my settings are still there. They only appear when I test them in thier specific alert variation page. If I just text twitch or YT alerts it will auto to default even if the test alert amount equals the settings for my variations.

Make sure that you have Default HTML/CSS disabled and examine your alert variations and if any of those show as Unknown or Incomplete, delete those variations.

It’s an issue with the anti capture technology they built into the counter strike games. There isn’t much we can do to get around it except what Rufus gave you. It’s been an issue for many many years.

Is there another scene with a Video Capture Source? The onboarding, as far as I remember, has a section where it asks if you want to use your camera.

When I load it up and go to the settings to setup my stuff there is no option for it, it only shows to choose my video camera. No option for nothing, I never understood why it dosent let me disable it. Though in my sources I’ve deleted the file for the usage of my camera and the light is still on.

I have discord turned on, but discord does not have my camera. I tried opening and closing streamlabs and it turns my camera light on. Guessing it’s on. But not showing, me I guess like there is no small screen of me but the camera light is on.

Hi all. Im sure this has been asked a thousand times by now. This issue has started to hit me starting last week. When I stream I am getting extreme high cpu usage. I will get a notification that it is over 30%. I haven't experienced any frame drops or anything technical which is strange. I have researced this issue and nothing really comes up to a solution. I was using browser sources for the Xmas collectibles we can get but have since deleted those in hopes of fixing the issue. I will get those high cpu warnings about every 10 minutes during a stream. I multistream on Twitch,Youtube and Tiktok. My pc is only for streaming as my actual gamplay is coming from a console.

There’s likely a video capture source in that folder. If you don’t want to use your web cam at all, you can probably delete that folder. I would look inside first.

I also record/stream at the same time to make videos, and don't want music to show up in my recordings either. I'd prefer my voice and game audio to be separate. If you're going live to Twitch by itself, you can go into your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Output and enabled the "Twitch VOD track". If you want to view your chat over your gameplay, try setting up the Streamlabs Desktop Game Overlay feature! This tool allows you to view your events (new subs, etc.) as well as your chat when you have Streamlabs Desktop minimized.

We don’t do that here. All support is done via chat. You’re going to have to trace cables and find out where that stuff is plugged into. (Pro tip, I’d do some cable mgmt back there to help in the future). With that many cables, I’m going to guess it’s plugged into a hub and that’s not going to work. Everything on a capture card needs to be direct connected to your PC.

This guide includes the steps for the set-up. Essentially, this is a widget that allows you to "roll credits" to thank new followers, new subscribers, etc. at the end of your broadcast. You would manually roll your credits by going to this page here: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents under the "Live Actions" tab.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

Ok that isn't streamlabs Console. Streamlabs Console is an entirely different thing (for xbox).

That is the Streamlabs Mobile App which does allow you to stream to one platform or multiple platforms (if you have Ultra). That can stream your phone's camera or your phone's screen (and depending on the phone you can add overlays to your screen capture as well).

But what exactly were you looking to accomplish? Like "i want to stream my xbox stream but control my overlays/scenes through my phone" or something else

that's definitely strange. My best guess would be that there may be some sort of background process that is causing your alert thing to happen (which would make sense if it also is blocking how your diagnostic is uploading).

Do you have any "optimization software" on your computer to turn that off (like Lenovo Vantage, MSI Dragon center, Asus LAN Optimizer, or CCleaner)?

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your game capture and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: unknown.png). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

In settings > audio disable any desktop audio. then close Streamlabs Desktop > right click Streamlabs Desktop > run it as administrator.

Then you would want to re-enable the desktop audio in settings > audio.

Its likely merged in another Streamlabs account. 😉

1. Log out of the Streamlabs account you're currently using.
2. Log in with your TikTok. That should log you into the other Streamlabs account where your TikTok is merged.
3. Go to the Platforms in Account Settings and try to unmerge it there: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms
4. If it won't let you unmerge it, that's likely because its the Primary account and you can't unmerge the Primary account. So in that case you'd have to submit a ticket to have that Streamlabs account deleted (assuming you don't care about any of the data in it). Then once that deletion is complete, you can merge your TikTok into the 'correct' Streamlabs account.
5. If it successfully unmerges your TikTok, then log out.
6. Log in with the Streamlabs account you were in in step 1.
7. Merge your TikTok.
8. Viola!
9. Profit! 😄

Note that if you have any special characters or emojis in your TikTok display name, remove them as those will prevent the system from unmerging and merging your account.

With F1 24, and OBS specifically it seems, (tried a couple other games and they're fine), when I'm tabbed into the game, my microphone becomes a lot quieter, despite not changing any settings in game, or in OBS. I then tried Bandicam, and the problem doesn't happen with that program.

All the settings in F1 24 are normal. Verified integrity of game files. I don't see anything out of the ordinary in OBS. I disabled "allow programs exclusive control of this device" in my microphone's properties. Drivers are up to date as well. Not sure why this happens. Help appreciated pls and thx.

I'd try Game Capture rather than Window Capture unless you've got one of those games with anti cheat features that breaks the ability for Game Capture to work.
