there's no setting for that in streamlabs itself, so you'll have to use.. probably a source clone with a render delay

assuming your alert duration is 5 seconds and you want text to disappear after 3, you'll have to set "text delay" to 2s in the widget's settings, then add that as a browser source in obs-studio, then install the source clone plugin, create 2 source clone sources of the browser source

crop one of them (using a Crop/Pad filter) to only show the animation, crop the other to only show the text, then add 4x Render Delay filters, 500ms each

Your default sound device may have changed. Edit that desktop audio and make sure it’s pointing to the right output device.

@round basalt all live video suffers from compression artifacts to some degree, recent generations of nvenc h264 are very good at concealing them, roughly on par with x264 on the fast/medium presets, but nvenc is tuned to favor a softer image, which is perceptually better for most people

Hi all! I've been using Streamlabs to record my games for years now and all of sudden, earlier today I got this message while I was gaming and recording. Mind you that everything was fine, literally seconds before!! 😫

Streamlabs Console doesn’t work that way. You just need to log in the Streamlabs Console with your Twitch. It will automatically read the stream key from your channel. You don’t have to manually enter it.

thanks, the problem im having is the application audio capture basically resets after any application closes. but i noticed it happens with regular obs too so it's kinda weird. hopefully it can be fixed

Streamlabs Desktop is built from the open source code of OBS Studio. So if it is present in OBS Studio, it'll likely be present here. There's not much you can do about as far as I know. I believe it has something to do with the application and what it sets as the window title. It may look static visually but behind the scene it may be changing.

@mint heath in obs-studio, you can choose from 3 window matching modes: exact tile match, same window class, same executable; streamlabs desktop only has the first mode, try "same executable" in the application audi ooutput capture source's properties

it happens with anything using Application audio capture. I've had it with capturing the audio from games, spotify etc. I understand the issue with spotify as it seems the name of spotify changes to whatever the song you're playing is

recent versions of obs-studio (i think v30+?) add a "capture audio" checkbox to game capture and display capture sources, that could be useful, especially if you use "capture any fullscreen application" or hotkey mode for game capture

I see , the paypal problem is that it only accepts payments from other countries and most of my viewers are from my own nation and I cannot see any other way to intergrate payment methods , streamlabs only shows paypal

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service.

You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Either one of those options will start your 7 day free trial; cancel before the end of that 7 day period to avoid getting charged for the first term you select.

In Streamlabs Desktop, log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

If you still have issues going live, In Streamlabs Desktop, please go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP. If the drop down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10. After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

If you still have issues going live, please let us know what platform you're trying to use, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Trovo, or X.

You mean this?
This option adds delay. You want to uncheck Enable. Enabling it and setting to zero will not give you zero delay. There will always be a delay as your computer has to encode the frames, transmit them across the internet to the ingest, the ingest has to receive the rames and format them for the viewers and deliver them to the viewer's computer. There's inherenbt delay in that. But there should never be a delay of 30 minutes.

Hey pals! Haven't logged in in a very long time and encountering an issue. The top section containing the widget URL & launch button (shown in this screenshot ) will not load for me. Cache clears haven't fixed it. Can't see on mobile browsers, but tried from chrome, Opera GX, and on a macbook device all with the same result.

Opening inspect, I seem to be getting a 401 unauthorized error specific for that section - despite still being able to access the rest of the content, and using my Twitch logins succesfully. The customization window below loads - but the actual widget URL, launch options etc at the top of the page do not.

Signed up for a secondary account and confirmed the section loaded without issue immediately.

With the original Twitch account that the launch window won't open, please follow these steps:

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time.

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

Then retest and see if the Launch window will open as expected.

Hey there! I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. To confirm, did you have users actively chatting to meet the line minimums you have set up? 🤔

Yeah, I have most of them set to 10 to 15 lines minimum, and I had one viewer who chatted 21 times, with a few auto messages from the game I was playing posting from my account

Depending on how many lines you had leading up to each timer, you may have not had enough chats.

For example, let's say these are your settings for a timer:

Interval: 10 minutes
Line minimum: 15

Your timer is set to go off every 10 minutes. In the five minutes leading up to the timer going off, you must receive at least 15 chats. Then, it would require another 15 chats (minimum) within five minutes of the next timer that's supposed to go off for the next timer to trigger, as well*. Essentially, in order to trigger the timer, you have to have all of those chats within 5 minutes leading up to the specific timer. It would be expecting 15 new lines of chat every 10 minutes.

I hope that makes sense, but please let me know if I can clarify any of this information at all!

I've already unchecked the "allow apps to take exclusive control of this device". I have a clip which shows the issue as well. I've also already read the streamlabs article on mic settings/adding filters etc, but I made it worse when I messed around with the filters. Any help would be appreciated please!

Streamlabs Desktop launching as if it is a fresh/like it's the first time using it?
The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Check for any running programs called "Streamlabs," "Electron," or "Obs64". If you find either of these processes running, please right-click and end the process. https://gyazo.com/d6b9babb076875ee5889983b532948e1

Hello, I have been using my Samsung Galaxy 22 as a webcam for around half a year, but it stopped working today. My phone and PC are updated, as is the phone link app. I just redownloaded Stream Labs and made sure that it was the newest version, but it still isn't working. The phone link app connects to my phone perfectly and can access my camera but for whatever reason Stream Labs isn't able to connect. permissions of the apps look fine also. Is there any fix to this?

There’s nothing you can do to fix this. Only the viewer can change the setting on their YouTube account.

Streamlabs Console prefers you log in with your Twitch directly instead of your Streamlabs ID.

Seems the like an issue between you and the YouTube ingest. Do you have physical access to your cable modem and are you the only person using it?

I would try this then…. Shut down your PC so that it powers off, then pull the power cable from your cable modem and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes, then plug it back in, and once the cable modem is fully back up, boot up your PC and try again.

Yes, Streamlabs Ultra allows you to stream simultaneously on multiple platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. With the multistreaming feature, Streamlabs Ultra offers the ability to stream to multiple services at the same time without the need for third-party software.

To do this, you will need to:

Subscribe to Streamlabs Ultra.
Set up the platforms you want to use (YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, etc.).
Use the Multistream option in the Streamlabs settings to link and stream simultaneously to multiple platforms.
Also, make sure your Streamlabs account is properly connected to the streaming platforms you want to use. Once this is set up, you can start streaming on multiple platforms at the same time!

Open OBS.
Go to Settings.
Check if there are any enabled options that open a browser on startup and disable them

Has anyone experienced this type of error during a livestream using the Streamlabs OBS plugin? The livestreams on Instagram and Twitch work perfectly fine, but on YouTube, it turns into a full green screen. The only way to fix it is by restarting the livestream through the Streamlabs plugin.

Hi guys, I have a ticket open with Support at the minute looking into an issue. I was wondering if anyone else had seen the same thing though. I currently have a dedicated Gaming PC & an Xbox that are both hooked up to a gaming laptop of decent spec. I use that laptop as a stream pc out to Twitch.
Whenever I open Streamlabs on the laptop (since Friday 13th December) My internet drops out, but only on the laptop. Everything else stays connected.
I have just in the last 10 minutes tried OBS also and that cuts it out too.
All the fixes Support sent me treated it as if I am online & streaming, yet I am not getting that far. As soon as I open Streamlabs, disconnect.......
I've just tried STreamlabs on this gaming PC I mentioned & no such similar issues! I have not changed any settings anywhere & I am most confused!!

So if I just followed your instructions correctly then yes, same thing. I open Streamlabs & the laptop disconnects from the wifi (or maybe OBS/Streamlabs is suddenly hogging all the bandwidth before I do anything!)

Like no audio at all come from my computer into streamlabs (the audio bar stays at "0" all time)

You can’t stream 120fps with a 1500 bitrate. At least on Twitch, 1500 for 15fps, 3000 Bitrate for 30fps, 6000 for 60fps. I don’t fully remember the other platforms. If you want to stream high quality, you need good internet. 5g networks aren’t bad if you can’t get good internet. We have starlink at our house because we don’t have wired internet lines run yet. It works good. I usually get nice results with 1280p30fps at 4500 bitrate. I run my streaming setup though our wifi system (don’t use any built in junk from companies, buy your own).

So went into my Device Manager and forced it onto 2.4Ghz.

It’s in settings > video. There is 2 options. Your current resolution and your output resolution. Output is what broadcasts.

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.

Hey guys I got a bit of a tricky one imo. So When streaming I have streamlabs set to game capture in my sources and have it set to capture the game thats set to fullscreen. Recently I have been streaming a game that does not want to go into fullscreen (game is in beta so a bit buggy atm) but will do borderless windowed. Due to this issue the save replay feature of streamlabs where I hit a hotkey I have set to capture a clip or highlight or moment does not work. When I hit the key it just does not do anything unless I am streaming a different game ofcourse that is in fullscreen. Does anyone know of a work around? Thanks!

Log out of Streamlabs Desktop, log out of the Streamlabs & Streamlabs Console web sites (click your PFP and choose Log out), log out of the standalone Streamlabels application. Then log back in with in Streamlabs Desktop with your new Twitch name. This will update the system with your new Twitch channel name. Next, log in at the Streamlabs web site and verify that your new Twitch channel name is shown here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms and that your Tip URL has updated with your new Twitch channel name here: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/tipping/methods. if you are only using Streamlabs Console, you can skip the steps for Streamlabs Desktop, instead, log back in at the main Streamlabs web site with your new Twitch name and that will update system.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time.

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

REMEMBER, this process will not go back and capture events that were missed.

Windows Update will quite often change the behind the scenes device ID’e so I would, in Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Audio and verify you have the correct Desktop Audio and Microphone devices selected. If the device show is a string of characters, then you’ll have to select the correct devices.

I see you have the option 'Control audio via OBS' for your Alert Box. Do you see the bars in the Audio Mixer move for the Alert Box source when you test or get an alert?

If not, you would need to reset your Audio Monitoring:

1. Go to Settings > Audio and set your monitoring device to something other than what it is now. Press Apply.
2. Restart OBS.
3. Go to Settings > Audio and set your monitoring device to the correct one. Press Apply.

Yes the Streamlabs Chatbot Sound Commads are working well. Only the Bits, Subs and Follow Sounds does´t working when i push the Resub, Raid, bits, Follow buttons on Streamlabs in Recent Events. In Alert Box the Test Sounds working with the Sounds the are coming out

Then there is an issue in your OBS Studio it seems. I would remove the browser source for the Alert Box from every source where you have it, then follow this:

-Close OBS Studio
-Hit windows key + R
-Paste this and hit enter %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser
-Delete the cache folder
-Start up OBS Studio again

Now add back the browser source for the Alert Box and make your tests.

In Streamlabs Desktop, log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

If you still have issues going live, In Streamlabs Desktop, please go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP. If the drop down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10. After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

If you still have issues going live, please let us know what platform you're trying to use, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Trovo, or X.

Hey there again! Cloudbot has different variables and syntax from Chatbox. Change your response to this: hilder had Burped/Farted {count rudenoise} times.

That stores the counter in a variable called rudenoise. Each time that command is called, the counter is incremented by one and the response is displayed.

If Chrome is your default web browser, that might be the cause. Since you can hear the alerts via your Streamlabs Dashboard means it’s not a Streamlabs issue. I would try not muting Chrome and see how it goes.

Select Medium or Long Duration and select all the ingests in your region. Don't only select the one closest to you. Short Duration sounds nice but will give inconsistent or bad results. Once the test is complete, screen shot the results here.

Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Hi, I have a strange problem with Streamlabs. When Streamlabs is open (even without streaming, just the program), I have graphic flickering problems in some games. This flickering is only in menues or ingame windows - never in the game itself. For example in Brotato only in the shop screen or in PoE the Dialog windows from characters and the settings menue.

Really tried a long time to find a solution and just saw the problems doesnt exist when Streamlabs is not open. Tested a few times with different games and Im 100% sure now it's Streamlabs.
I also checked if the camera is the problem (cause it starts too with Streamlabs), but even unplugged the cam doesnt change anything.

Anyone has an idea what I can do?

Lately I've been testing switching encoders. Happens regardless of Hardware or Software, but apparently the Software (x264) makes the buffering much worse for my viewers.

I've tried messing with bitrates (usually go with 6,000) but just seems the issue still persists.

Then there is an issue in your OBS Studio it seems. I would remove the browser source for the Alert Box from every source where you have it, then follow this:

-Remove the Browser Source you have for the Alert Box from every scene where you have it
-Close OBS Studio
-Hit windows key + R
-Paste this and hit enter %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser
-Delete the cache folder
-Start up OBS Studio again
-Add the Browser Source for the Alert Box back where you need it.

Make your tests.

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The subscriber would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and YouTube might help.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for YouTube.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your YouTube. This re-establishes the connection between Streamlabs and YouTube.

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the step 6, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

👉 REMEMBER, this process will not go back and capture events that were missed.

Hi, I’m having a continuous problem and I feel like I have tried everything at this point so I don’t know what else to do.

For some reason when I add alerts to my scenes, they double. So for example, I have a total of three alerts and they will double three times all at the same time.

I’ve tried deleting the alerts and making them all over again, but for some reason, the images and the sound keeps overlapping each other, and I don’t know how else to fix it. I I don’t know if this makes complete sense. I explained to the best of my ability.

Hi! I am the tech administrator for a local community church. I inherited a system that someone else set up and am looking for a better and more cost effective solution. Keep in mind that changing hardware is not a option at this time.

Right now, we are running a multi input and multi platform encoder. We have multiple computers, all assigned different things. for our streaming computer we have an iMac with inputs from Propresenter running on another iMac, and a Black Magic Device (BMD) for the background (Video Switcher) inputs coming into OBS, then the OBS sends out a signal to Vimeo, which in turn streams the input to Facebook and YouTube.

Our Vimeo subscription is about to expire, and I don't want to use our limited resources to pay another annual fee of $900 to accomplish this. My son, who is a YouTuber, told me about StreamLabs. Since the website has no one for me to talk to (I'm old and old school and like to actually talk to a person), I'm looking for someone to help me with my needs.

PS: I'd like to speak with someone or chat on DM before I spend the $$$.

@oak anvil i don't recall if streamlabs desktop's multi-streaming feature is paid or free, but if you're using obs-studio, you can install either the aitum multistream plugin the obs-multi-rtmp plugin, both are free but you'll be using your own upload bandwidth, whereas streamlabs' re-streaming service will use their servers (which may be more reliable or less reliable than your own connection - typically enterprise internet connections are more reliable, but if yours is enterprise-grade, you may not need this)
i believe the streamlabs plugin for obs-studio also adds streamlabs' restreaming services

Hey guys, got a question. In streamlabs desktop, I have two instances of application audio capture. One for discord and one for spotify. Neither are working properly. I have my desktop audio muted and would like to have discord muted as well in order to allow only music playing before I start my stream without having people hearing me or anyone on discord or anything that may be playing in my web browser. Even though I have this set, streamlabs with either have everything muted, or nothing muted. It doesn't seem the application audio capture is working properly.
