I started a trial on 12/6/2023 last year but when it ran out, I switched to the annual Ultra plan start on 12/19/2023. I just got prompted today to renew and did but I can't use the Ultra features. It seems like my account is stuck in free mode due to the dates of the trial and the Ultra subscription payment. I am trying to stream POE2 and can't, bad timing.

I also submitted a ticket from the web UI.

Hey I'm having an issue where the application audio capture feature breaks whenever I close the app or if i close audio source. For example, if i play a game and shut down the game or streamlabs application audio capture won't work if I restart the game or streamlabs. Is there a known fix for this?

I’ve seen a fair few of those go around. I’m going to take a guess that your game, and maybe windows are switching audio devices. See if your game allows you to choose a specific audio device and make sure it’s the one you want and not just default. It also is quite helpful to disable all extraneous audio devices (both input and output). Everything has a mic and speaker on it these days. If that doesn’t help, I’d suggest submitting a ticket so a streamlabs staff member can assist, we’re mostly community and volunteer support here. https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hello I'm trying to set up a Charity stream through Streamlabs Charity, I had gotten everything set up but no matter what I try I can't get the Charity Donation Goal Widget to appear. I have the browser source in OBS but the source itself is just showing a white screen so nothing shows on the browser source. The other widgets that I use through streamlabs work fine, idk what to do, I'd use Tiltify but the Charity i really want to support isn't on there

Logging out and back into Streamlabs
Refreshing the browser source
Reloading the widgets
Using a different browser

For example, let’s say I am streaming to TikTok, IG, FB, Twitch and YouTube and would like to switch to only stream to

Hey guys, I hope someone has an answer for me! I am using Streamlabs on a brand new (less than a week old) mac mini. And I installed the desktop of SL on my computer. When I am adding a source, which is a browser, I have to login to YT to connect my account. And when I'm trying to login, the "L" key will not work. No matter what I do, I can't get it to work. I've tried closing and opening the software and also I've rebooted my computer a few times. And if I can't get this to work, I'm going to have to bail on SL, as it's a bizarre issue to have. Oh and when I try to use the delete key, it returns a capital B. So that's bizarre too. Thanks in advance if anyone has a way to fix this. There's an "l" in gmail, so I will never be able to login. (I've tried other accounts that don't have an "l" in the name, but gmail has one!) - OR does anyone know if there's a way that I can login to the desktop software via a website? I know it sounds silly, but I'm desperate.

Hey, i try help a friend with streamlabs obs. He have problem with getting the desktop audio in. He have GoXLR and uses system sound which is desktop audio. No desktop audio is working. He get all the sound as it should be in headset and everything else. I myself have GoXLR and all same settings and it works fine for me.

Having issues with Streamlabs Desktop not capturing and just getting a black screen?

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.
• This means you will want to start interacting with the "game" for about 5-20 seconds before it will be detected.
• Also try running Streamlabs Desktop as admin and if using Game Capture, try using the "Capture Specific Window" option.

Note: Some games will simply not work with Game Capture and will require the use of Window Capture or Display Capture.

Hello! I have a question about Collab Cam. My pal and I want to do a drawing stream together using two video sources each. A video source each for our faces and another video each capturing our sketchbooks while we draw.
I cannot for the life of my figure out how to set up collab cam so that she can have both of her video sources appear on my stream. It's only working for one at a time.
I upgraded to Ultra to get access to the additional collab cam guests, but it's not letting me give her access to two seperate sources.

Width and height set to 2560x1440 which is right for my monitor - its only the text size changing which is what im finding odd

ive tried clearing cache & adding custom css to set text size (none was set before) but no luck

@viral ridge streamlabs does something weird to unset whatever you try to set in obs-studio's browser source's custom css field, you can only use the website's custom css features (or load the css with browser UI privileges, but most of today's browsers won't let you do that)

and don't confuse intended widget size with monitor resolution, maybe this asset is designed for a 800x600 browser viewport but you entered 2560x1440

I'm having trouble with capturing game sound on streamlabs using elgato capture card. If I change my settings on ps5 to HDMI device streamlabs gets the sound but I can't hear the gameplay through my headset. I change the ps5 settings to controller headset I can hear the gameplay through my headset but streamlabs doesn't pick up the gameplay sound. Hopefully the video shows it better than I explain it

Hey Everyone I have a question I'm about to format my pc and i don't want to lost my stream laps setup and i watched the video on YT from stream laps cloud backup but i don't see the icon backup?

hey fellas im having an issue while streaming. every now and then the UI in my obs window crashes-- the stream itself does not crash, its just everything from the sources and scenes and chat window goes completely blank.
tabbing out and back into it fixes it
however, the issue that persists is when this happens, my plugins crash. i use the amuse spotify overlay and an xbox controller overlay that just completely stop working when this happens
i believe my chat is also delayed until the issue is resolved as well
anyone have an idea of what could be causing it?

Ok so i have been streaming for a little while and used OBS for many years yet i wanted to try something newer so Streamlabs yet i noticed that my file sizes became WAY smaller yet i cant figure out why as i cant tell any quality difference? Does anyone know why that may be?

@dusk fjord cqp is a compression ratio target, not a quality target or a bit rate target, so your average bit rate will be proportional to the amount of movement in the video; try recording a first-person game and you'll see higher average bit rate

@dusk fjord even if you're recording the same game, average bit rates will vary between recordings, the bit rate difference is the most obvious during loading screens; it's also possible you used different settings, e.g. forgot to select "indistinguishable quality" in settings>output>recording in simple output mode, or switched to advanced output mode afterwards (simple output mode presets don't carry over)

@dusk fjord as to why you can't perceive the difference - lossy video codecs are designed to do exactly that, so they're doing their job, but in context of video production, unless you intend to store and view the video as-is with no further processing, it's better to preserve high quality before you feed this video into video editing tools or video sharing platforms like youtube

I just looked at my settings and switched to Simple output mode and its still on indistinguishable quality so i cant see why there's so much of a difference from OBS to Streamlabs, i even looked back at OBS and looked at what i had and all remains the same.

assuming settings>advanced and settings>video are also identical, i don't have a good explanation for this; if you were averaging 196 Mbps and are now averaging 10 Mbps, this seems like an issue with streamlabs desktop

i would make sure to relog into streamlabs console with your Twitch and not your Streamlabs ID (if you have one). If you disconnected Twitch and then logged in with your SL ID that woudln't really reconnect it

no one would have been able to message you in here about getting approved afaik. but if you try to go live if there is a green button to apply you would need to apply again. if not (and it just says to fill out the title info and what not) i would try relogging in Streamlabs Desktop with your tiktok account

Yes to twitch its weird cause if i use a different OBS i get the options for 1080p and lower its just streamlabs obs that is causing me this issue to only have it set for 1080p 60

If you're controlling your audio via OBS, I'd 'reset' your audio monitoring device.

Can you go into your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Advanced > Audio and change your audio monitoring device to "default"?

Then close Streamlabs Desktop, re-launch it as admin (right-click the desktop icon, run as admin)

Then go back into the same settings area and change your audio monitoring device back to the device you'd like to hear audio.

Let's refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

1. End your stream

2. Log out of Streamlabs.com and Streamlabs Desktop as well as any other apps such as Streamlabs Chatbot, Streamlabs Mobile, Streamlabs Console or Streamlabels

3. Log into your Twitch account and go to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections

4. Scroll down to "Other connections" at the bottom and you will find Streamlabs Console/Studio and click "Disconnect"

5. After clicking "disconnect" log back into Streamlabs Console with your Twitch then hit "authorize" when you've gone through the process

6. Once fully logged in, check to make sure the Streamlabs Console/Studio connection shows as "connected minutes ago": in Other Connections

7. Go live and let me know how it goes

Greetings all, I'm lost trying to get multi streaming going. I've been on twitch for years no problem. But now as I set up for a rumble stream, I find that i cannot save the stream url and key to the custom slot. Plus i find i cannot uncheck the twitch stream for when i go live. Being that today i just want to test rumble on it own. Log out of Streamlabs Desktop and log in with your Streamlabs ID. You should then be able to toggle off Twitch. Don't unmerge Twitch!

Generate a new token for your streamer, bot, and Streamlabs accounts. Note the Copy Token button is broken. Click on the token to reveal it and then copy and paste the entire token into Chatbot. Once all three have been updated, completely restart Chatbot.

thankyou for your help. but no joy. I logged out at the bottom left on the program. then relogged in, i choose Streamlabs ID, NOT twitch. I then have to confirm login to Streamlabs ID via Streamlabs webpage, (Autherise). Log in is succesful but it seems to log into twitch based on the twitch symbols appearing next to my account name on the bottom left of the program. Plus all problems discussed before remain.

I think I'm having a similar problem to kaga/mio from yesterday, my chat was working and then all of a sudden it's not working. I use custom html/css/js/fields that I imported and it was working just fine earlier today. I came back to my desk and streamlabs.com's chat box demo isn't showing any examples. It works if I disable custom though.

edit: I also tried installing the Flush Widgets theme from the Stream Labs Library and that doesn't work either.
note: my adblock is turned off for the site, so no scripts should be blocked

Having an issue when recording and streaming. When I record for over 2 hours, when I stop my recording, my kb/s crashes to 0, I'm still "live" in STOBS, but my stream on Twitch crashes. I've tried doing a fresh install, but that hasn't helped. I've tested shorter recordings, my last 2 streams, recordings of 1 hour and 42 minutes and another of 1 hour and 38 minutes with no issues. Is this something to do with not having Ultra? Is there a recording limit while streaming?

My alerts that I have worked so hard on, do not work once I'm live but work when I "test" them. They have been working for a few months now but for a week or so it hasn't visually shown up on my streams but you could hear it, and now you can't hear OR see it during my live. I feel horrible cuz I was telling people to follow when they were saying how much they were enjoying my stream, come to find out that they already followed me but nothing on my end notified me.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time.

7. IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. PLEASE Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

REMEMBER, this process will not go back and capture events that were missed.

Fast motion or if its dark in the game, this can cause 'blurriness'. there's really no way to 'fix' this. Only thing I can suggest for Twitch, due to their bitrate limit of 6000, is to set your Output Resolution to 1270x720. That gives the bitrate more 'room' to work and might offer some improvement. What you see on stream is never going to be exactly like what you see on your monitor.

1. Double click on the browser source for the overlay. Copy and paste the URL into a blank Notepad document for safe keeping.
2. Remove that browser source.
3. Wait 2 minutes.
4. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
5. Hit the Windows key + R
6. Paste the following and hit enter: %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser
7. Delete ONLY the Cache folder
8. Launch Streamlabs Desktop
9. Wait 2 minutes.
10. Add the browser source back. Paste in the URL you saved in step 1.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

Having an issue when recording and streaming. When I record for over 2 hours, when I stop my recording, my kb/s crashes to 0, I'm still "live" in STOBS, but my stream on Twitch crashes. I've tried doing a fresh install, but that hasn't helped. I've tested shorter recordings, my last 2 streams, recordings of 1 hour and 42 minutes and another of 1 hour and 38 minutes with no issues. Is this something to do with not having Ultra? Is there a recording limit while streaming?

i have a ps5 with an astro a50 headset, when im streaming through streamlabs i have no game sound coming through my headset, i have the astro hdmi adaptor and all the cables wired up correctly but when i change my audio in the settings to hdmi my headset doesn't pick any sound up but my stream does, ive tried looking for a fix everywhere and cant seem to find a solution any help?

@pearl matrix to accomplish 2) the microphone would have to be connected to your laptop, as while the ps5 can be used to connect to discord voice chats, it (probably) can't simultaneously send that mic audio to a PC or ARM device (i'm not entirely sure about that, maybe there is software for the ps5 that does some equivalent of a NDI output that i don't know of)
...but to accomplish 1) you'd also have to connect to that same voice chat using discord on the ps5, and for that you'll need a 2nd discord account - one to hear the chat in your headphones, and another to be able to speak in it using the mic connected to the laptop, as discord won't let you join a call on more than 1 device on one account
if i understand correctly, the "chat link pro" is used to direct audio from the ps5's controller's 3.5mm jack to both your capture card and to your own headphones, yes?

so, my advice would be to make a 2nd discord account, follow these instructions https://discord.com/blog/playstation-5-voice-integration-announcement to join a voice call on the ps5, sign in to your 2nd discord account (use any web browser or install discord canary / discord ptb), then join the same voice call, speak and verify you're able to hear yourself, then mute your 2nd account on the 1st account to avoid echo
you might also have to deafen your 2nd discord account to avoid echo from other members of the same voice call

I tried everything, but haven't found a solution yet. Here is my problem:

I open my game (Microsoft flight simulator 2020) and everything goes fine: the flight is smooth, zero stutter, no problem at all.

THEN, as soon as I open streamlabs, stutters and sound problems appear almost immediately, until the game finally crashes. Often, the game stops altogether (1 or 2 sec)
, then recovers, but now with a 2 sec audio latency and heavy stutters. Even my mouse is unusable! If i close stream labs, the problem
continues. I often have to reboot the computer.

I used Streamlabs so many times before, and never had this kind of problem. I recently re-installed windows 10, and that's when the trouble started.

Do you have any idea where that might come from? I followed your advices (updated everything) but nothing has worked so far. I tried another software, and it's the same.

To restore the default blue neon overlay in Streamlabs, follow these steps:

1. Open Streamlabs.
2. Go to the "Themes" tab on the left side of the screen.
3. Scroll to find the "Default" theme, or look for the "Blue Neon" preset.
4. Click on it to apply.

If it’s not listed, try reinstalling Streamlabs, which should restore the default themes. Make sure to backup your scenes and settings if needed before reinstalling.

In Streamlabs Desktop, log out, wait a minute, and then log back in.

If you still have issues going live, In Streamlabs Desktop, please go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP. If the drop down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10. After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

because sld uses obs-studio's hardware-accelerated canvas composition, which requires some gpu resources - and if there aren't any, some frames would have to be duplicated, and sld additionally performs expensive IPC to draw its user interface, something obs-studio doesn't do

you should be able to stream this window to discord now, and as for audio..

go to settings>audio, find the "audio monitoring device" setting and select "CABLE Input"
hit OK, press Edit > Advanced audio properties, then enable "monitor and output" for any sources that you need to send to discord (this includes your own mic)
then, start a new screen share in a discord call, choose the fullscreen projector as the video source, and choose "CABLE Output" as your microphone
you might want to disable discord's own noise suppression, it'll suppress what you're streaming

Okay, please shut down your computer so that it powers off. Then unplug the power from your cable modem and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes then plug it back in. Once the cable modem is fully back up, power on your computer and run the Twitch Test again.

Having an issue when recording and streaming. When I record for over 2 hours, when I stop my recording, my kb/s crashes to 0, I'm still "live" in STOBS, but my stream on Twitch crashes. I've tried doing a fresh install, but that hasn't helped. I've tested shorter recordings, my last 2 streams, recordings of 1 hour and 42 minutes and another of 1 hour and 38 minutes with no issues. Is this something to do with not having Ultra? Is there a recording limit while streaming?
