No effect. The browser plug-in files are deleted. I docked the windows how I normally place them, closed OBS normally from the menu and relaunched. It does the same thing. It minimizes the main window leaving the dock windows spread around and undocked. In the System Tray settings under OBS disabling minimize to system tray but leaving the always minimize to task bar option checked works around the issue for now.

Hey there! I'd start by raising your video bitrate as 3,500 would be okay for 720p, but not quite enough to support 1080p without some dropped frames/quality issues. Depending on your upload speed, I would recommend raising your bitrate up to 8,000 for YouTube. https://www.speedtest.net/ If your upload speed is around 14mbps or higher, you should be able to use 8,000!

That's very interesting! I'm sorry this is giving you trouble. I would definitely recommend reporting this to the OBS Discord/staff in case there are any bugs with their latest update now that we know the issue isn't related to the Streamlabs plugin.

I'd recommend 6,000 for Twitch! Sometimes going over that 6,000 will result in errors going live/might cause trouble for your viewers to see the broadcast.

I'm still not able to stream with streamlabs on my main gaming computer. I tested it on my phone and on another laptop and I'm able to stream from there, and I've confirmed with my ISP that it's not being blocked from their end. Can I use Streamlabs on two different devices (labtop and iPhone), with the labtop pointing to me (the speaker), and the iPhone pointing to the project I'm working on. hello, i'm reporting a problem that is occurring during my broadcast and my wife's broadcast, we use the same configuration in streamlabs to broadcast on twitch, but occasionally the transmission ends by itself and comes back on the air minutes later.

We've tried everything and so far we haven't managed to solve the problem.

If possible, I'd like help from someone who knows what can be done to solve the problem.

OK so I have been losing my mind over this. Over the last couple of weeks My stream has been having issues with the bitrate. The stream will drop to below 1000kb/s consistently to the point where it will DC the stream entirely. Here are the things I have tried for trouble shooting;
~Lower the bitrate in Slobs to 3000
~Reset router to factory settings
~ISP tech checked out hardline connection and modem
~Changed Servers to optimize connection
~Used twitchInspector to determine if issue is on my end or twitch

I have found no solutions to this and I am at my wits end. I have no idea how to proceed and it's causing my stream to suffer, if anyone can help I would be very appreciative

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Please run the Twitch Test from the tagged post above.

Select Medium or Long Duration and select all the ingests in your region. Don't only select the one closest to you. Short Duration sounds nice but will give inconsistent or bad results. Once the test is complete, screen shot the results here.

Tell them you're trying to live stream to Twitch and are experiencing slow and unstable connections to the Twitch ingest. If you can figure it out, give them the IP address of the Twitch ingest that's closest to you so they can examine the path.

You're welcome and good luck! 🤞 This is the hardest streaming issue to deal with. It might take a bit so don't expect a resolution over night. Be patient with them. Some techs hear 'streaming' and think you're trying to watch Netflix, which uses your download. Live streaming uses your upload and your upload path is the issue.

Yes, our API with YouTube does not allow you to type in the embedded chat dock. Yeah, I know, not cool. But sadly, that's the way it is. Open your stream chat in a web browser and respond from there.

Hello. i was wondering if anyone could help me with Streamlabs disconnecting?

So i use it on a steam deck and used to use regular obs. had no issues at all. any internet problems were fixed when i finally got an Ethernet adapter. i would never disconnect.

i have since switched my steam deck to a windows computer. ever since, obs was disconnecting multiple times during stream, then reconnecting second later. i figured obs was broken so i switch to Streamlabs. had no further disconnection issues.

i dont know if some update happened but just a few weeks ago i started having disconnect issues again. i hadn't changed any settings. it cant be my internet because i never had this issue on linux. could it be something with Windows? using windows 10.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

OKAY I’m currently streaming from an elgato hd60x from my Xbox series X to my stream
Labs macOS I’m having trouble getting the elgato or stream labs to register the discord chat audio of my friends . My audio source on stream labs via elgato is currently picking up game sound , game chat as well as Xbox party chat but it will not pick up the discord app audio on the Xbox. I have no clue what is going on I’m not sure if anyone else has had this issue if reached out to discord and elgato support with no solutions has anyone else had this issue and were you able to solve it ! @ruby thicket some of your streaming settings for nvenc are not valid; streamlabs desktop should sanitize most of them, but perhaps you used an invalid resolution or something else that isn't checked; post screenshots of settings>advanced, settings>video and settings>output>streaming

Subscriptions or Subscribers? Former is Twitch, latter is YouTube. Sounds like you may have an incomplete Variation; if any variations shows as Unknown or Incomplete, delete that Variation. If you have Custom HTML/CSS enabled, disable that.

Artists and Rights Holders can choose to grant Songtradr exclusive rights to manage their tracks in Google/YouTube’s Content ID system. This allows us to make their music available via Streamlabs.
If an artist later opts to monetize their music directly (e.g., via YouTube or Facebook), they might distribute through another platform without notifying Songtradr, leading to claims on prior usage.
When this happens, Songtradr removes the track from Streamlabs to prevent future issues. These situations are rare, and claims generally result in only a small portion of revenue being directed to the claiming party. Any revenue earned prior to the track’s removal remains yours to keep.

I have a weird problem each time i wanna start a Stream. When i click "Start Stream" and i enter the title and game name it doesnt really change it. For example i wanna stream "Soulmask" i enter the game name and a title and click "start streaming". when i now click on the top left for editing Streamtitle and game name it changed back to the, in my case Path of Exile game and its title. If Twitch, click the Refresh Chat button at the top of the embedded chat dock. If that doesn't work, you'll have to log out and log back in in Streamlabs Desktop (that would end your stream though).

If YouTube, you have to be live with a Public stream. Private and Unlisted don't work with the embedded chat dock and with YouTube, the API doesn't allow you to type in the embedded chat dock so you'll have to open your stream chat in separate web browser.

Hi, I'm trying to stream a game but streamlabs game capture won't capture it. I've tried everything, from fiddling with the settings to uninstalling and reinstalling both streamlabs and the game itself. It still won't capture the game

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your all game capture sources and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: unknown.png). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

After that and it is not detecting your game, that game might be blocking the hook from game capture. In recent years, this included Roblox which added an anti-cheat feature. So, if you're trying to capture Roblox, you'll have to use Window Capture instead.

Until earlier this week, alert box was working fine, now i do not receive notifications from alert box. I have tried the trouble shooting for alert box from streamlabs page, but nothing has changed. I have been dealing with a weird audio issue when I stream and I couldn't think of how to fix it. I use an Elgato Video Capture Device to stream all my consoles. Whenever I switch scenes to one that has the Elgato in it for some reason it drops the audio for the elgato. The way I fix this is by going into the Configure Crossbar button. For whatever reason instead of having audio line in as default, mute in is the default. How can I make this not the case? I am stumped

graphics card driver updates almost never cause issues, but it's possible; seeing as this channel isn't currently being bombarded with "help, nvenc isn't working", it's likely a one-time occurrence and not widespread

Hello! I'm having a couple of issues with Streamlabs desktop. Newish to streaming. (1) When recording, I'm noticing in my video afterwards that it is super blurry when I'm moving fast. Should I update settings for FPS and scale?
(2) The big issue: It randomly stops recording. I have to run all games in windowed because I never know when it's going to stop recording.

normally when stuff gets blurry when you're moving fast is because the bitrate can't keep up. so knowing what your bitrate is and your resolution that you're streaming to + fps would be helpful

Recommended bitrate values versus used resolution and FPS.

• For 1280x720 at 30FPS use 2200 up to 2800kbps.
• For 1280x720 at 60FPS use 3800 up to 5600kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 30FPS use 4400 up to 6200kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 60FPS use (6000) 8700 up to 12500kbps.
• For 1600x900 or 1536x864 at 60FPS use at least 6000kbps up to 8600kbps.

Using lower bitrates than listed is possible where allowed by the type of content or when using a better (slower) x264 preset or using RTX NVENC to have 6000kbps for 1080p60.
If you get pixelations on your stream, this would mean there is insufficient bitrate to properly encode the stream for the given content.```

I'd double check your Alert Duration and make sure it is set to the length of the audio play and not longer.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch will resolve this.

NOTE 👉 This disconnect process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Events are sent over the API only once and if they are missed, they are missed forever. Going forward from once you reconnected by logging back in, Streamlabs should capture events from Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it: Click your PFP and choose Log out.

2. If you use Streamlabs Console, log out of the Streamlabs Console web site as well using the same method.

3. If you use the standalone Streamlabels application, log out of that.

4. Log out in Streamlabs Desktop (see next post on how to do that).

5. Follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Just follow the section for Twitch.

6. Navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch. This re-establishes the connection. You can verify this by going back to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections, scrolling down to Other Connections and examine the Streamlabs connection. It should say "Connected a few minutes ago" other short period of time.

7. 👉 IMPORTANT: Once you have completed the guide, go back to the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents, click the Live Actions tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the Reload Widgets button. Don't skip this step!

8. Log back in to all the other Streamlabs products you use.

REMEMBER, this process will not go back and capture events that were missed. Don't reply 'didn't work' because of that. Events going forward after you reconnect will be captured.

In order not to be disconnected from the broadcast, when I did a restart session opposite the Stream Labels in the live actions from the recent events section, my problem was solved. The lost stream did not come, but the updates started to come.

Didn't work, and i could just go into a paint program download the boxes from a file, got the font as i installed that too, just copied what it should say and pasted them into all boxes in the center, i got frustrated because it was so hard to allign the boxes to the exact size, but evantually i got it to work

It works better if the camera is plugged directly into the Xbox rather than connected to your PC.

Do I Need a Webcam?
Having a webcam for Streamlabs Console is not mandatory, but you can connect an external webcam to a USB port on your Xbox, which will automatically be detected. You can also use your mobile device as a webcam through the Streamlabs Console editor.

As I mentioned over at the Chatbot Discord, Streamlabs Desktop integration with TikTok only allows for live streaming. There is no support for chat or any of the Streamlabs widgets. You'll have to open your TiokTok Chat in their app or in web browser if there is a way to do that from the TikTok web site.

Ah, okay, great. Use the web browser then. I don't do TikTok so I've never used the integration we have. TikTok live streaming through Streamlabs is different than live streaming through their Live Studio app so it makes since that the Live Studio app doesn't show you as live. Yeah, I know, that's weird.

Hello, im using the alert box on the slobs website and variants are not working at all. it always uses the default on everything regardless of it being enables or not. this problem is present in both follows and subscriptions. ive tried changing frequency of the variants and have set it to be the default but it still doesnt work. previewing the variant at the bottom right works for each variant, but when testing the actual event it always uses the default and never a variant.

Hello! I have a scene collection I have been using. I now want to use all of those same scenes but expand upon them, change them up a bit, and add some more scenes. Therefore, I thought just duplicating the scene collection right in the manager would work. However, this now duplicated collection has broken all the locations of where I had everything set. The logo, positioning of elements, and everything is all set to default rather than where I had it set.

i'm having issues with my game capture looking washed out. I have to add so many filters just to get it to look decent. But then it messes with my other games as the filters dont transfer perfectly to each game. I found today using display capture looks sooo much better and consistent. but i do not want to have to stream with display capture. I didnt have this problem til the past few weeks. Prior it looked great and i didnt have to add any filters at all.

I didn't develop Streamlabs Mobile. I just volunteer my free time here to help out. I don't have an Android device to test with. To me, it appears its just a suggestion. Some applications will display suggestions on how to use their program or offer suggestions on options to enable that might make your experience better.

All I know is what the staff told me when I asked about the error message you reported. They suggested turning off those two options.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to use the "Edit Chatter name" functionality of BetterTTV plugin inside the chat pannel of Streamlabs Desktop. when i click the edit button in my browser an input box opens to edit the chatter name (see screenshot). when clicking on the button in Streamlabs Desktop nothing hppens.

Not to knock your product choice, but that thing has 3 stars and junk reviews, you may want to reconsider that brand. Next, what are you trying to use it for? I feel like there are better products for your needs, that is a camera monitor. The quick bits I read about it show it wants to connect via usb and hdmi. It does have wireless though which may be able to broadcast to a PC using the cameras software. You could technically capture that software window. It does have encoding and streaming software, but it needs to use its own cloud studio. They have a very in-depth manual (that I’m going to skip reading) you may want to read it to determine if it’s right for you. I still feel like there are other options for what you’re trying to do that might work better.

hey all! i have a super weird question relating to Charity Stream Events. The general issue I have is this - in order to get a charity event going through Streamlabs, I need to select the Charity first and then set up the campaign so that all of the funds go there. But what if my event has a "winner" and the funds raised go to the Charity of their selection? Is there a way to have a campaign to raise funds and then select the "winning Charity" afterward?

other options seem less than ideal - like GoFundMe, or even PayPal, skims a portion of the proceeds off the top which is why I love using Streamlabs Charity so much. But I haven't been able to find a solution to make this idea that I have work. Anyone come across a solution? Thanks for the help! ❤️

Same here. Seems like the JS of the embeddable pages runs into security issues: here's what I have in the console, regardless of whether custom JS is enabled or not:
Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to read the 'localStorage' property from 'Window': The document is sandboxed and lacks the 'allow-same-origin' flag.

Either the standard JS changed, or the security headers that the server inserts did.

The Shoutout Manager has just disappeared in the ‘modules’ of Cloudbot.

It happened when I was just setting up the shoutout manager for the first time. It still works, but now that it's gone ... I can't edit or disable it !

It should be under Chat Alert or perhaps in 3rd place. The Shoutout Manager was displayed as a ‘new’ function.

After I set it up, the ‘new’ disappeared, which makes sense. But then when I updated the site, it disappeared permanently.

Hello, sending this in again! I have a scene collection I have been using. I now want to use all of those same scenes but expand upon them, change them up a bit, and add some more scenes. Therefore, I thought just duplicating the scene collection right in the manager would work. However, this now duplicated collection has broken all the locations of where I had everything set. The logo, positioning of elements, and everything is all set to default rather than where I had it set.

No. The audio monitoring options won't cause your issue. Have you split your audio perhaps after enabling the Twitch VOD track option?

That just affects how long Twitch stores your VOD once your live stream finishes. Nothing to do with your local audio configuration.

So it appears you're not splitting your audio. Therefore I would uncheck the Twitch VOD Track option - that's likely the source of your microphone audio missing in the VOD. And set Desktop Audio Device 2 and Microphone 2 and 3 to Disabled.

Does anyone know why I would lose audio after a windows update. I use Bluetooth headphones to hear my gameplay and monitor my stream, everything worked perfectly and then I did an update and not I can’t hear my gameplay in streamlabs. I can hear music and alerts and everything else. But no gameplay. fYI I use a capture card to capture audio and video from my PS5. And it shows that it is capturing the audio in the mixer but I can’t hear anything.

Streamlabs media request through donations keeps looping the media after the play queue is already completed

it is set to only play media from Youtube from interval 30 seconds to 5 minutes depending on donation ( YT link must be included in donation message) but since last week it;s been playing the donated media on loop and media has to be manually closed in queue

i only found help on normal media request through !song command request in chat and not through streamlabs donation + youtube link system

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone knows what might be happening with Streamlabs. I switched to Streamlabs about 3-4 months ago, and all my livestreams were working fine (multistreaming between YouTube and Twitch). However, on Monday, I had two livestreams that I had to shut down and restart due to a sudden green screen appearing for viewers on YouTube.

Curiously, viewers on Twitch experienced no issues, but the only way to fix the YouTube stream and get rid of the green screen was to end the live session and start a new one.

Since Monday, I’ve gone back to using OBS Studio, and I haven’t encountered the problem again, which makes me think it’s related to the Streamlabs OBS app.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows what might be causing it?

If you click on the "editor" mode at the top left do you have "display" or editor" here. you want editor

I think I'm going to tell my ISP about this because they have me run speed tests, which don't necessarily show any specific issues.

I get an Invalid Broadcast error after 5/10 minutes when using StreamLabs to livestream to TikTok on my iPhone, any ideas on what is causing that and how I can get around it?

Hello. I am new to streamlabs and I'm trying to set up a ranked system in my custom commands due to stream labs not having a rank system (or atleast I didn't see one). I went on chat gpt and asked chat gpt how to create a custom ranked command so my viewers will rank up as they collect more points but the command didn't work

i mean chatbot (the downloadable bot, which was ankhbot) can basically do anything if you know how to make a script for it

but you always have to launch it on your computer and eveything is localized

Cloudbot is not working, and I pay for Ultra so that I can have a custom bot which sometimes works and sometimes does 't. The last time this happened I had to reboot OBS Studio. This time it simply isn't working. This is what I have done: Logged out and back into Streamlabs, relogged my bot in and out of Twitch, turned my Cloudbot on and off (with breaks and refreshes). I broadcast with OBS.

Second issue: Streamlabels is not updating my RECENTS.

The everyone tag is disabled here, thankfully. I would not want to ping over 221,000 people!

On Windows 10, you will see a yellow border around the game which cannot be disabled. This is not visible in your stream and can be ignored

Don't use Window Capture. If at all possible, use Game Capture. Though some games can't be captured with Game Capture, like Roblox.
