Hi, I can't open streamlabs on my macbook pro M3, it starts and crashes after a couple seconds, I already restarted, re-installed, but it's still the same, I remember using it some months ago before uninstalling it. So it used to work in this computer, I don't know what to do.

anyone else start having trouble like 45 min ago, out of nowhere my stream dropped, i dropped over 60,000 frames in just 20 min, now when i try to go live it won't go over 1000 kb/s, mostly stays around 250 - 500 kb/s and is just frame dropping. it's not my net i just finshed checking everything

Trying to setup NDI from my main gaming PC, to my secondary PC running SLOBS.

Main PC has OBS Studio running the NDI plugin, and I've got NDI 6 runtime installed on both PCs.

I can get NDI working from OBS to OBS, but I can only see the source in SLOBS - it shows as a black screen and doesn't receive audio either.

Attempted to sign up for the 7 day trial for StreamLabs desktop. Took my card info but no confirmation email, confirmation screen, nothing after that. Attempted to use it through Xbox, and I would consistently get a message stating I didn’t have the correct subscription. Checked my account details, my membership details, nothing showed and active trial or subscription. I gave up, thinking nothing went through, and went on to use a different service. Today, I got charged $49.99 USD. Again, no confirmation email stating what I paid for, nothing on the account settings or membership settings pages. This is pathetic. I just want answers.

Hello to every one!
I have a general issue that I can't get rid of.. I have a Desktop with i512400, RX6600, 32GB RAM and a great internet speed.
My Streams always looks pixelated when moving and no matter what guides I have followed I cant find a solution to optimize my stream the best way.
I have friends with worst PCs than mine that their streams looks legit!
Anyone had the same issues and found a solution? Anyone familiar what are the best settings for my hardware?

For me it was a fresh start from scratch. And I don't know for the time to refresh because I never use my both computer in the same time, but for example if I add an overlay or a source and I turn off my computer and directly turn on my other. The new config will be there directly

I know this isn't necessarily technical support needed but I just had a quick question, for streamlabs console do I need a subscription to be able to use it and stream with it?, As i know that anywhere i look it says you need a subscription but i can use the webapp, Or is it that you get some base features without having to pay and if you pay you then unlock more things? This sounds like exclusive control is causing the issue.

Click your Start Menu in Windows and type "Change system sounds" and hit enter. Click the Playback tab and/or Recording tab and right-click your microphone/headphones and click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box for "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". You should also do this for your microphone/headphones under the respective tab. https://i.imgur.com/UkPogow.png

Update to this comment, All of a sudden Everything started working on youtube, it allowed me to stream I did a test then a 3.5 hour stream, It went well, just a few user technical hitches. I changed nothing, it just started working.

For the macOs issue a topic was opened yesterday. It happen with Macos 15.0.1 and streamlabs 1.17.0. For me I don't have the issue if all my devices (Mic, Cam, etc) are connected. Otherwise Streamlabs crash

Can someone help me with my audio? I was adjusting it after a Windows Update, and have had to readjust my inputs and outputs and so on. Now I can't hear anything from my speakers. The speakers would play certain music normally, and other videos nearly inaudible. On top of that, I haven't even seen what my mic is assigned to. Oh my goodness, I haven't even checked my OBS updates for like over a year. I digress though.

I partially remember setting up but don't ever remember getting an app for it. So I've got alert boxes set up, subs, superchats, and memberships. But when I test one all of them will go off. Ex. I test subscriber, all the alerts go off with the subscriber animation. Not sure if they even work how they're supposed to either. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hate to be a bother, I am trying to dual stream to Twitch and Tiktok, it was working before and I believe I have reverted everything that I recently changed except for my bitrate. The problem I am having is whenever I stream now Twitch within twenty minutes I get skipped frames. Which the alert says they are skipped frames due to an encoder setting, or high CPU usage. I have switched my Encoder back and forth between Nvidia Nvenc 264 and (new), and streamlabs counter on the bottom never goes above 3%. Looking at my task manager, cpu load topped out at 60% with streamlabs and my game running. I tested things out this morning and got it to work, but when I attempted tonight, the problem arose again. I'm not sure what else us going on, because I had zero issues before a few days ago.

Hey guys after the update on my mac studio i was struggling to keep the stream going with stable framerate, it's been going hard. I had GPU at 95% i typically had it around 60% before the update.

I managed to stream by closing all my browsers and keep gpu under 90% but the minute it was reaching 99% i had framerate drops.

I stream 8h sessions so lost an hour just trying to tweak and restart the stream and figure out what was going on.

I am trying to use multistream to broadcast to YouTube and Twitch, but when I start streaming to both, the quality of the live stream drops a lot, which doesn't happen if I start streaming to just one of them. after testing what they told me to do in the screenshots i provided for the masOS crash, i am able to open streamlabs desktop on my mac now, but everytime i try to log into my account it crashes again. i just sent them a crash report of it. i hope this gets fixed soon 😦

is there a way to display tiktok chat in streaming using streamlabs? i tried to move out the tiktok chat like a window, then i captured the window with a capture window source, and then i cropped it. the problems are 2 : the natural black background colour of the tiktok chat, and everytime i close streamlabs i have to crop it again from zero when i start the stream every time.

So you're not launching NDI you woudl close that now. And then in Streamlabs Desktop there should be an NDI source in this window. but you don't have it, so idk why you don't have it

When choosing an audio source for an app in Advanced Audio Settings, I have to re-choose the Window to record audio from, basically everytime I restart the Streamlabs desktop application. Is there a way to circumvent this? Or do I just have to keep re-selecting the correct window every time I start the app again? I don't want to use desktop audio because I don't want all my apps captured.

New to pc, just starting learning Streamlabs OBS & had a question about StreamElements' overlays as a browser source.
There's a small delay when switching scenes, where when you transition to another scene that has an active StreamElements overlay via browser source URL, it shows nothing for the first second or 2 then the overlays load in as intended. Anyone know how/if you're able to use that without a delay? I would like the overlay show instantly & appear smoothly but not able to figure it out, if possible. I've used another OBS called Lightstream in the past & it had the same minor issue, so I assume it's something within StreamElements. Thought I'd ask here. Thanks in advance.

@boreal bay browser sources from inactive scenes are unloaded and have to be refreshed upon switching scenes; you can use studio mode, or whatever streamlabs desktop calls it, to open the scene you intent to switch to, and wait for browser sources to finish loading before transitioning

My Alerts has really low volume in the software. It started yesterday after a stream. I can't seem to find a setting or something that's wrong. I test them out in the web browser and there the sound volume is as it's always been and they sound fine, but when I replay them they dont. Anyone know what that could be about?

you would want to turn the video capture device to monitor. if your monitoring device in settings > advanced > audio is set to your desktop audio, you wouldn't want to have it set to "and output" as you could get echoes. if that device is different, then you would want to set it as output.

Not sure exactly why you're using an audio input capture though 🤔 unless that's what your capture card needed?

Hey guys, I require help. I downloaded Streamlabs and wanted to record myself playing Beatsaber - the problem is, the video is lagging way behind, it's slowed down a LOT and the sound is completely disattached from it [see video below]

I have tried both recording to my SSD, and streaming - both ended up the same.

I have a really fast router with wifi 6? 7? Something I got for quest. 600mb internet. PC with latest i9, 96GB of ram, RTX 4080. When I'm playing the game while streaming, it's not lagging, the sound is normal ETC - but the recording ends up all messed up. Advise?

I could understand if it was either streaming to youtube wrong, or saving to my PC wrong - but it does the same for both. The sound is terribly out of sync [in the video, the music starts long before the scene even loads, and ends too soon before the scene is over], and the entire video is slowed down a lot [it was much faster in game]

I did install it because I had a different issue with old OBS - it was recording alright, BUT it was somehow lagging my game so I kept missing blocks and had screen tearing from it.

My theory is, the sound is being recorded alright with correct timing, but the video lags behind and gets slowed down which causes it to go out of sync

Thank you for confirming! Our team did push out an update, then decided to pause rolling out that update any further as it was causing issues for many users. Are you able to go to Streamlabs.com > re-install from the main page and let me know if this helps? If your systems asks if you want to "keep both files" or "replace existing file", you can select "replace".

51000 is the maximum bitrate for YouTube. I'd try dropping down to say 45000 and see how it goes. Remember, you don't want your bitrate to be more thant 75% of your upload bandwidth.

Yeah.. aha, I guess at some point I created a second twitch account only linking my phone number and no email.. I guess somewhere in the system they got all jumbled up. so I just deleted that account and re-signed in using Stream Labs ID and it worked perfectly

I just started a private test stream on YouTube but using the rtmp streaming service instead of having the account linked and it works fine, I'll wait a couple of hours to see if it holds up but I linked the account because the first time I did it like that After 2 hours the transmission stopped and it told me that I did not have a valid account and that is why I linked the YouTube account with streamlbs, I will wait a couple of hours and comment. Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The subscriber would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
  2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
  4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
  5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

hello.
I havent had any issues using the Streamlabs controller mobile app until about 2 hours ago. Now, I cant get anything connected. My PC is is connected through both wifi (5Ghz band) and ethernet, and my phone is also connected on the wifi 5Ghz band.

Before, when it was all working properly, I just had the PC on ethernet, phone on 2.4ghz, and no issues over the last year. Now im stuck. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Im trying to stream to 1080p and i have 300mbs upload speed, everything on youtube says the stream health is fine, but streamlabs keeps dropping up to 70% frames. I have a 10 core cpu and a RTX 3090, this shouldnt be happening whatsoever, my computer is more than powerful and ive handled 1440p60 livestreaming perfectly fine before, now it wont stream at 1080 regardless of what i try to do, please, im so tired of testing settings

Is there a bug in StreamLabs Talk Studio? I have VoiceMeeter Banana installed. If I choose to have Talk Studio's Audio Output (the speaker setting) go to the Aux Input in VoiceMeeter (I know that sounds backward, but in VoiceMeeter this IS how it works), it still goes to the normal VoiceMeeter Input (which is my default speaker setting in Windows). StreamYard routes this correctly to the VM Aux Input channel. Stream Labs Talk Studio does NOT route it properly.

It seems Talk Studio has no problems changing the audio input (microphone or audio playback source) from the Windows system default to a different input, but it does have problem changing the audio output (speaker) from the Windows system default to a different output device

Hi! For some reason, when anyone uses their loyalty points to redeem a gif & sound, the sound may or may not play & the gifs don't play. They show up on the loyalty page & in my dashboard, but not on stream or in OBS. This wasn't a problem last week, & it started out just one or two messing up, so I turned those off, but now it is almost all of them! Been beating my head against the wall for hours trying to figure this out, but no luck as of yet.

Looking for help or advice on an issue I’m having with only Streamlabs. My streams always disconnect and reconnect on Twitch but Streamlabs software keeps saying it’s been running continuously.

By the end of the stream, instead of 1 VOD, i’ll end up with 3-5 VODs.

Only reason I’m using SL is because of better performance but this issue has been really irritating. I’ve adjusted Bitrate, Encoders, Reset Keys, and my Wifi is excellent. Any other things I should check?

I’m having trouble uploading a few animated graphics that I purchased from Etsy? They’re .webm files, and when I try to add them I keep getting an error message that it is not the correct format, and needs to have either an image or .GIF extension, or .webp. I created a copy and converted it to a .GIF, but now I’m having issues with the size. I cannot for the life of me figure out where I can convert a copy to a .webp format - any suggestions?

I want to add my old twitch account to my streamlabs account instead of my current twitch account, but I still can't find any way to replace it, since it is the main account. Yes, there was bug in that update for Streamlabs Desktop for Mac. The update was paused to investigate and correct the issue. For now, please quit Streamlabs Desktop, go to the Streamlabs web site, download a fresh installer and install Streamlabs Desktop from that fresh installer. You won't lose your Scenes and Sources.

Just breathe. Things break (in the Apple world, it’s not usually the 3rd party applications fault). Apple changes things and doesn’t tell people ahead of time. It’s been having issues for 1 week (out of the years of minimal problems). They are working on it.

Yes, I'm sure of that, but it must be something of a configuration type. Taking into account the information you gave me previously, it occurred to me to check the connection via Wi-Fi instead of cable and it works perfectly that way, the moment I connect the cable I have the problem again, so I changed the cable but it didn't work, with the other cable I still have the same problem. Can you think of what configuration on my computer I could check that has to do with the cable internet connection?
