Hello, I'm new here :,D I'm searching for help because my .txt file 'most_recent_follower' isn't working. I know it's a common error but the tutorials on Youtube didn't work, neither Reddit or the SLabs tutorials. Thought this was just a simple error (because it happened to me 2 years ago, I don't remember how I fixed it) so I tried deleting StreamLabels, the %appdata% folder, the one that had the .txt files, erasing the sources, but nothing happened :,[

I use normal OBS (30.2.2), the alerts work correctly (proof on the pic), it's only the .txt the deffective one. Thanks :D/

Let's refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

First, log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it with. Click your PFP in the upper right and choose Log out.
Second, log out in Streamlabels and quit it.
Third, follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account.
Fourth, launch your web browser, navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log back in. This re-establishes the connection.
Fifth, launch Streamlabels and log back in.

Note this will not recover events that were missed. They are only sent over the API once. It will update with the next new follower.

So I'm having this problem where my sound loops back in short intervals and eventually fills up my sound with all kinds of feedback. Problem is I have my stream muted on twitch and I still hear it through my headphones so it's not my browser adding feedback. The feedback loop is about 3 seconds long and it is everything from my spotify music, game sounds and my mic. Any ideas?

Either your watching your stream and it's not muted, or you have a 2nd microphone that's picking up audio. Go into windows sound and make sure all other microphones except the one you want to use are disabled.

Hi, I think I have tried eveyrthing but my mini feed and alerts are no longer updating.

The only way I can stop the loop is by muting audio. Otherwise the loop just constantly repeats. I don't "think" it's me listening to my stream while streaming, because my audio is all through my headphones. So no sound should be reaching the mic.

I have a slightly complicated issue. I use Streamlabs' website/browser source for my alertbox and event list on my stream that I run in OBS Studio. I have gotten a new PC recently, and I have reinstalled OBS Studio, using my backed-up settings folders to make my transition as seamless as possible. However, every event that has happened on my stream since I got my new PC is not being picked up on Streamlabs' end. Twitch can track these events just fine. The alertbox and event list work when I test them using Streamlabs' website, but real follows/etc are not being picked up on Streamlabs. Does anyone know a fix other than the steps on the general troubleshooting pages?

Can I have you disconnect and reconnect your Twitch account to Streamlabs?

1)Log out of Streamlabs.com (you can use this link to force a logout https://streamlabs.com/logout) and any Streamlabs software such as Streamlabs Desktop (you can do so from the bottom left)
2) After logging out, go here: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections
3) Then find Streamlabs (Twitch Alerts) or Streamlabs Dashboard & click Disconnect.
4) Once you have done this, please log in to streamlabs.com or Streamlabs Desktop with your Twitch account

Note: After doing this, you may need to update your widget/alerts URLs in your streaming software.

This will refresh your connection.

In my experience, that’s worked out really well in my favor

But that probably has to do with my Internet connection

There are plenty of bitrate calculators around. They all say at least 4.9k but all the way up to 9k. 6k is typically a good middle ground.

However, if your upload speed is limited, you might wanna go lower. Or if the site you stream to has a bitrate cap.
4.5k would have low artifacts, 3.5k would have a fair amount but 6k should keep them away

Hi, I had a instance where someone continued a gifted/ prime sub in the stream I mod in,, but it didn't show up as an alert...or even show up in Stream Labs Recent events for me to replay.

If it doesn't show in recent events, it won't trigger an alert so alert settings are irrelevant here. Might be an outdated Twitch authorization token for the streamer and they need to relog.

In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Audio and make sure the correct devices are selected. If the devices shown are just long strings of random characters, that means a recently applied Windows update changed your device ID’s and you’ll definitely need to reselect the correct devices.

Log into the Streamlabs Cosnole web site, click your PFP then choose Account Details. If the region is set to Auto, change the region to the specific region where you are located. Then save the settings and try again. You might consider restarting your Xbox.

I’m having trouble on MacOS with my Nubwo headset. The headset does not play audio for me to hear while streaming to Twitch. So I don’t hear sound alerts or Streamlabs music. The headset plays audio when I’m not streaming. The audio/sound alerts/Streamlabs music all output to the stream and viewers can hear it…/but I cannot. Also, I can hear audio while streaming when I use my AirPods. Not sure what setting I need to use to achieve my desired results. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey all,

had an issue with loyalty points on YT today with donation rewards. Was set to 3 points per dollar.

It seems that this doesn't work well with superchats as they are in the donators currency and not USD.
someone donated 30,000 IDR ($1.86 USD) and instead of 3-6 points for a $1-$2 superchat at the 3-1 rate, they got 90,000 in a 3-1 on IDR.

Is there a way to fix this to award it based on USD amount best just to disable points for dono's?

Dropped Frames indicates a network issue between you and the ingest. What platform are you using, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Trovo, or X?

Please run the Twitch Test per the tagged instructions below. Use Medium or Long Duration only - Short Duration sounds nice but gives inconsistent results and you'll have to run it again. Choose all the ingests in your region - DON'T ONLY choose the ingest closest to you.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

You will need to reach out to you ISP then; they are blocking something. Please tell them you are trying to live stream to Twitch and are getting disconnected. Be patient with them; sometimes front-line reps hear 'streaming' and think you're trying to watch Netflix. This isn't a software problem.

Its not a 'this will fix it' tool. Its a analysis tool that tells us the quality of the part frm your cable modem to the platform ingest. In your case, there's possibly something that your ISP is doing that is blocking packets to Twitch.

Hey guys, this has probably been asked before but I have an Elgato Streamdeck Neo, and want to be able to use it do change the audio level of a specific device (such as the microphone level on stream) in Streamlabs. I'm able to do this in OBS with the Audio Mixer, but in Streamlabs it just mutes it/enables it. The Wave Mixer plugin didn't work cause it doesn't work with the Neo. Any way to get this to work?

I assumed a hotkey would work, but I don't see any hotkeys to adjust the input volume of a device within Streamlabs.

hallo mates, i am new to streamlabs and got the following issue:
i am on macOS and i want to capture two "windowed fullscreens". Those are two game apps running in fullscreen basically and i dont know how to capture them directly (dont want to capture entire screens, only the gaming content).

when i use the window capture feature, i cannot find the apps in the list of the plugin. but when i toggle both apps to windowed mode, i can find them in the list - so far this make sense.

But now, when i selected them as a window and then flip them back to fullscreen mode, streamlabs further continues to capture them perfectly - and this is exactly what i wanted from the beginning.
but as soon as i restart streamlabs, they are not selected any longer, so i would have to window/select/fullscreen the apps every sinlge time.

is there please any way to fix this app selection within the window capture plugins?

sounds like syncing to me, streamlabs will capture with some fixed frame rate like e.g. 30 or 60fps, so it will synchronize the source to this.
this should be adjustable in the settings, but these are just my thoughts about this, i am also a newbie and not sure about that. guess you can find information about this in the help files?

I run 2 1080Ti on my Win10 machine. About two months ago for no reason, Streamlabs stopped being able to record my stream while I'm streaming.
Initially there was an error message that told me to get the newest drivers for my Graphics cards, But I keep up with that, and have them.
Now the error is "Unknown Error Contact Support"

First off, love the username, that was a great movie. Second, what you should do is boot up the games ahead of opening stream labs, so that way when it opens up, it should register them as already open windows. If this does not work, let me know and I’ll see if there is a plug-in or some other kind of workaround.

i did already try opening the app before, after, restarting streamlabs whith apps already open - sadly the window-plugin wont find those windows.
in OBS i can only find them when i click on that "show hidden windows" button.
I hoped that there is also such an option in streamlabs, but i havent found one so far

i fear this might have to do with macOS and how it treats fullscreen applications "in the background", but i am no dev, just an idea

Hey I am having a problem, this has been a problem ever since I downloaded streamlabs however when setting up a webcam, the fastest load time use to be 10 minutes, only the webcam though nothing else has the problem, but recently streamlabs deleted my webcam scene and now I am lucky if it loads in half an hour sometimes it will sit there for an hour then crashes, is there any way to reduce the time it takes to set up the camera?

I am using collab cam and I want the person that joins me through collab cam to be able to see all of the overlays. I only see the option to show them 1 overlay. If they look at the stream they will be delayed by like 20 seconds so that won't work for them to be able to see everything. How can I allow them to see more than one overlay when on collab cam. I want them to see everything I can see.

I stream on twitch, testing alerts work but live alerts by real people don’t work. I enabled alerts, disabled alert unlimited moderation, made sure I had no variation.

Same issue for Stream elements and also Twitch alerts. Testing work but real alerts do not. Any fix?

Help! I have money in my available balance (it currently shows PayPal Plus, PayPal Lite, and a Credit Card), but I must have set up the credit card ages ago because I barely remember doing so. When I click 'update details' it asks me to enter the last 4 digits of my account but idk what account its connected to.

I was just going to delete it and add new card details, but the credit card/delete button / available balance are all listed in one box so I'm worried it'll delete my money or something haha. Is it safe to just delete and add a new account?

Let's refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

First, log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it with. Click your PFP in the upper right and choose Log out.
Second, log out in Streamlabels and quit it.
Third, follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account.
Fourth, launch your web browser, navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log back in. This re-establishes the connection.
Fifth, launch Streamlabels and log back in.

Note this will not recover events that were missed. They are only sent over the API once. It will update with the next new follower.

Hello yall, accidentally changed recording rate control to lossless. Tried to change it back but it is stuck on lossless. Uninstalled, cleared files, reinstalled and persists on lossless and unable to change.

nvm, turn off 'automatic file splitting' and then it lets you change it. Weird fix.

Hello im having issues with my webcamd they where working properly once I upgraded to Ultra my webcams where off screen. Hello, I am having trouble with my audio alerts and browser source alerts being very crunchy. I only have one monitor and it seems to be that when I have streamlabs in background, my alerts go haywire and they sound very glitchy. I only have one monitory sadly. It is very confusing because this happens to every game that i stream except for one. I've tried deleting everything and setting up a new Scenes and Sources but no matter what they are still not working right. I've tried to edit on task manager and set priority as High or Realtime, but that doesn't seem to work either.

I am trying to setup everything from Streamlabs Desktop to OBS Studio once again. I have put a browser source on OBS Studio for the Streamlabs Alerts I've already had but when I test them they are not displaying on OBS Studio. I don't know if it has to do something of the alerts being in Streamlabs Desktop and OBS Studio. Already tried multiple times the "Settings>Advanced>Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" multiple times but still doesn't display. Can someone help me with this? I logged into Streamlabs and all of my alerts were deleted. I spent hours looking for audio files and animations to remake them and now they don't work. Everything is enabled, but when conditions are met to trigger an alert, nothing happens. What happened and why does nothing work for me anymore?

Looks like you didn’t set of the bot, what you need to do is make Streamlabs a mod for your channel, which can be done by going to your channel, open YTStudio, from there, go to settings, then go to community, then copy and paste the username of Streamlabs, and then the chat should post the link every time you stream.

So your best bet is to check your plug-ins and see if there’s any of them that may be other date or conflicting with your drivers,
Also double check to see what encoder you’re using, because I’m not sure of the hardware you’re using, but has a general rule of thumb. You usually want to use the hardware encoder on the GPU that you have.

I've had this issue, its a problem with your browser in Windows. Change the default browser to another one. Such as changing from Chrome to Edge and then try logging in. Once it works, you can change it back and it should be fine going forward

Hi everyone, I am trying to separate my audio's tracks for easier control instead of having it all come through the desktop audio. To capture my games I use the "Game Capture" Source, and a lot of people talk about this having an audio option too. I do not see this at all, is it just OBS that has this? I really want to avoid using the "Application Audio Capture" source if i can help it as I change games in my stream sometimes and it's a faff to change this source and it doesn't always pick up the new window straight away. Am I just being silly or is this the only way atm? xx

I used to stream regularly for years, then took a year-long break. Now I'm attempting to stream again, and after updating streamlabs, my stream was disconnecting every 6 minutes for the last couple of days -- and today, the stream was disconnecting every 3 minutes.

I have restarted my computer and restarted the router a handful of times in a few different ways, checked my internet settings, speed, bitrate, all that -- everything is looking good. There are no dropped frames at all, the connection just blips every few minutes. This is maddening. Any ideas?

Run the Twitch Test, see the tagged post below. Select all the ingests in your area and choose Medium or Long duration. Short duration will give misleading results. 👇🏻

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

It’s an issue with your ISP. Do you have a MSI motherboard in your PC?

Low quality scores like that mean the packets are reliably reaching the ingest.

I don't have issues with playing games online or watching shows/movies on multiple devices at a time; my internet speeds are very fast.

Watching media is download. Live steaming uses your upload. Can’t compare the two. I’d reach out to your ISP and tell them you’re trying to live stream to Twitch and are being disconnected. It may take a while to get resolved and might take a few calls to them. This is one of the most difficult issues with live streaming.

How to remove Black Bars from your stream

• In Windows Display Settings, you would need to make sure you have a 16:9 monitor resolution (Typically 1920x1080)
• In the game you're playing, you would want the render resolution to be 16:9 as well. (Basically matching info from above)
• In Streamlabs Desktop > Settings > Video > Base Resolution, that would also need to be 16:9 resolution (Same as above)

If any of those things are not being done, then your stream is not going to be true 16:9 and your game will have black bars.

• You can select the capture source in your sources list > right click it > transform > fit/stretch to screen, should help```

Quick question. I have separate audio tracks in Streamlabs OBS and I can't separate my alerts, which means that you either can't hear the alerts in the stream at all because I have a separate audio track for each application or I change it so that the audio is redirected to OBS, but then I can't hear the alerts anymore. You have to make Streamlabs a Standard Moderator via YouTube Studio. /mod is not a YouTube Chat command.

You added Streamlabs as a Standard Moderator? It won't work as a Managing Moderator. Also Cloudbot only works on YouTube if you're live with a Public strream. Cloudbot won't worj with Private or Unlisted streams.

If you're able to from your current set-up, I would recommend linking your Discord for your Ultra roles (https://streamlabs.com/dashboard/#/settings/integrations), then you can reach out in our official support channel when you're live if it still isn't working! Then an agent can likely hop in and test it to see what's going on.

Rufus may have some other troubleshooting for you, as well! I just figured I'd let you know about that channel, as well, just in case!

I need some help if anyone is available. I am streaming from a console and i am using a capture card to connect my console to my laptop and I am using StreamLabs desktop. I have figured out mostly everything except my microphone. I can hear my gameplay whenever I plug my headset into the headset jack. However, my mic audio will not work when I plug my headset into the mic jack on the capture card. I have already set up a video capture device source, which is why I can see and hear my gameplay, but my mic doesn't come through. I also tried using an audio input capture source to get my mic to work. Yet I never hear my voice whenever I go into advanced settings and test either source in the mixer. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, sorry for asking, but do you have space on your harddrive??? if yes, try to make a diffrent folder for recordings (on another drive is better). if you do'nt have try to delete some of the old recordings (windows may see the folder as full) I hope this helps

Im having trouble with my streamlabs dropping 30 frames with overwatch, when the game is full screen. When minimized the fps goes back to normal for streamlabs, when streamlabs isnt open my fps for overwatch is perfect. Its the only game causing issues and I've tried everything from lowering settings, messing with my stream settings etc. It was before the new NVIDIA update I noticed my stream and overwatch were having lagged frames. No other game does this and I have no idea what to do anymore. I've looked on forums, on reddit, i've rolled back drivers, uninstalled, nothing seems to fix this issue. My settings were running perfectly and then all of a sudden stopped for overwatch.

I am having issues with Streamlabs OBS Desktop I got a new PC with new parts so I am sure its not hardware issue. Ever since I switched over to windows 11 I have been having this issue.
When I go to another window at all and come back everything on streamlabs obs freezes but the live stream itself.
If I click any sources or anything at ALL it will not work until I force cloes the program.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out about this - I've seen users have this issue in the past, and clearing their cache has seemed to help. Clearing your cache will reset your global settings back to default (Settings > Video, Settings > Output, etc.) but it should fix this issue for you. (I recommend taking screenshots of your settings just in case you need them to reference later)

You can try clearing your cache from your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Get Support > "delete cache and restart". Will you let me know if this helps?

I've been seeing some reports here and there of users having trouble launching on Sonoma, and I haven't found any "workarounds" aside from users saying they can launch in "Safe Mode". Hello, I have a technical question, how do i manipulate a source window? I want to adjust it so it would fit an overlay screen but I want to do it to make it look like its being viewed from an angle. is there a way to unlock the aspect ratio so I can manually adjust the corners to fit?

Ok to get streamlabs working on Xbox under linked socials. Unlink twitch then go to streamlabs console. Then connect twitch on streamlabs console. Then connect the streamlabs widget. That fixes it for the twitch side disconnect streamlabs then go on streamlabs reconnect it.

Don’t think there’s a “zoom in” feature. You’d have to crop it the dimensions you want but that may not be what you’re looking for.

Hey i'm sure this has a simple solution but i would love some help. Every time i open obs with the plug-in installed, i get my ears blasted out by some tts (text to speach) saying "auto-play turned on". I believe that the alert box is the culprit however i dont know how to stop it from doing that lmao

@charred spade if the issue here is high volume, you can address that with filters; find the culprit, open its properties, tick "control audio via obs", hit ok, right-click it in the audio mixer dock, add a compressor filter
after that, go to edit > advanced audio properties, enable audio monitoring (mute output), restart obs-studio; if it's still too loud, reduce threshold in the compressor filter

Thank you for the replyy thats initially what i thought as well. I did add the alerts widget into the audio mixer via the "control audio on OBS" option and i turned it all the way down but i still heard the audio-prompt after reopening OBS. Then i thought perhaps its because the text to speech option that i enabled for my alerts in Streamlabs was too loud. After turning way down as well, i still had the loud audio-prompt after opening obs. im really not sure how to stop it from saying "auto-play turned on" everytime i open it

“Auto play turned on” is not something the alert box would play. I suspect another source.

@charred spade press scene collection > duplicate, then remove half your browser sources, restart obs-studio, see if it's gone or still present; switch back to the original scene collection and repeat until you find the culprit
also, if you have the se.live plugin installed, it'll create its own docks, not related to anything else

Let's refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

First, log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it with. Click your PFP in the upper right and choose Log out.
Second, log out in Streamlabels and quit it. See below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.
Third, follow this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account.
Fourth, launch your web browser, navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log back in. This re-establishes the connection.

Note this will not recover events that were missed. They are only sent over the API once. It will update with the next new follower.

Also note that an unfollow/refollow will not trigger the follow alert. This is done to prevent someone from spamming your alerts.

I can follow you as a test.
