not sure if known issue but.......so im streaming on OBS using the Streamlabs PLUGIN (not desktop). i want to utilise the Twitch Vod track feature in OBS, to do this i need to set my stream service to Twitch.. Every time i click start stream it auto brings up the streamlabs plugin to start my stream, but in doing this changes the service to custom rather than twitch and therefore gets rid of the Twitch VOD track setting... any help?

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Streamlabels does not seem to include any updates for Streamlabs charity, am I using an outdated version, or are these wrapped into something else? Is there another method that I can use to get a text log of updates? I tried pulling out data from the alert but it doesn't seem to work well.

I don't know any workarounds to display Streamlabs Charity donations outside of adding a browser source to your streaming software, and linking your charity there. This would give you the ability to display the leaderboard on that page (you can hold ALT to crop everything else out). That's the only "workaround" I can think of at the moment.

There’s no way to do that. You’re always going to have a delay. It takes time for your system to encode the packets and transmit them to the ingest who then has to assemble them and deliver it to the viewer. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7444635?hl=en. The only real way would be get into the data center and plug in on the same network segment as the ingest but that’s truly improbable.

Also make sure you have Stream Delay disabled. Settings > Advanced.

That setting adds delay. It doesn’t specify the delay itself.

You using Streamlabs Chatbot syntax in Streamlabs Cloudbot. That won't work as Cloudbot has a different syntax for variables.

correct because you're not actually maling the package. it would need to be sent back to the original sender if it can't be delivered. you don't put in your address information, so there's no way that they could send that package to you. So none of your information would show 🙂

You can try refreshing the API connection between Streamlabs + X, and that could help resolve this (since the Premium subscription is new).

-Log out of Streamlabs.com, Streamlabs Desktop, and any other Streamlabs product/service that you may be signed into
-Go to X and remove any Streamlabs permissions (X Settings > "Security and account access" > "Apps and sessions" > "Connected apps"
-Log back into Streamlabs.com with your X credentials
-Log back into Streamlabs Desktop with your X credentials

Are you able to try these steps and let me know if this helps?

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with Streamlabs. My last live stream on Twitch was 6 months ago. I couldn't stream during this time because I was serving in the military. When I tried to stream after coming back, Streamlabs shows me as live, but on Twitch, I appear offline. How can I fix this?

Make sure that your bitrate (Settings > Output) isn't exceeding 6000 which is the maximum for Twitch.

They made it so users must have a Premium X subscription in order to go live using software such as Streamlabs Desktop, OBS Studio, etc.

Your initial question said you updated windows drivers and graphics drivers. Go back down in graphics drivers versions to what you used to have prior to updating. You can also see if any of your nvidia applications got reenabled. I forget what it’s called and I’m not at my computer, but nvidia has one that is supposed to help increase gaming performance but does the opposite.

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

Issue:
I've set up subscription alerts in Streamlabs, but they're not triggering automatically when a user subscribes. The test alerts work perfectly, but the actual alerts don't seem to be detecting the subscription changes.

Setup:

• I've connected my platform (YouTube Live) account to Streamlabs.
• I've set up subscription alert triggers in Streamlabs.
• I've configured the alert settings to display the subscriber name in the center of my screen.
• I've set up my stream in 9:16 ratio or 1080 x 1920

Problem:

• When a user subscribes or unsubscribes, the subscription count doesn't update in the feed.
• The test alerts work correctly, but the actual alerts don't trigger when a subscription event occurs.
• I've checked the API connections, subscription triggers, and alert settings, but can't seem to find the issue.

Question:
Has anyone else experienced this issue? How can I troubleshoot or resolve the problem to get my subscription alerts working automatically?

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The subscriber would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

If you have an Nvidia or AMD based video card, I'd suggest switching to a hardware encoder. If you have enough upload bandwidth, I'd increase your bitrate to 6000. And then change your Output Resolution to 1280x720.

Hey there! I have a REALLY weird problem, and I totally don't get it.... I am using the Kappa-Wall, but it doesn't show any normal Emotes anymore. My own Twitch Emotes and the other Twitch Emotes are no problem, but all the normal/windows Emotes are completely invisible. The thing is: This is valid for ALL Emote-Animation screens. Also in Streamelements and others...
The thing is: I have had that exact problem before. Last time I downloaded Firefox and changed my default browser, and the problem was gone. But now, no matter which browser I choose, the Emotes are invisible.
Could this be a Java or html problem? Or what code is used to display the normal Emotes? And why does it only affect the "normal" Emotes, but not the Twitch ones?

I am experiencing a persistent issue where my stream attempts to reconnect after a few minutes every time I go live. Despite the stream successfully starting, I continuously receive messages indicating that Streamlabs is attempting to reconnect.

My internet connection is stable, with speeds of 500Mbps download and up to 600Mbps upload. I have taken the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists:

Lowered the bitrate
Bound the IP address
Lowered the stream quality
Tested streaming on a different PC (same issue)
Attempted streaming to both Twitch and YouTube (same issue)
Used an Ethernet connection
Reset and reinstalled network adapters
Ensured the required ports are open on my router
Used separate streaming software, such as OBS and Streamlabs
Tried different encoding settings

Does the rest of your internet on that PC die when the stream dies? What is your internet doing while you’re streaming. Start your stream like normal and then run a speed test, it is severely lower than when you’re not streaming? I have been messing around with my alert boxes as a browser source from twitch and when I send a test alert, no matter how low I set the alert volume, it comes through Streamlabs at maximum volume and peaking out my desktop audio mixer. If you have a Stream Deck, remove your Streamlabs account from the Stream Deck application, quit and restart the Stream Deck application, and finally add your Streamlabs account back in the Stream Deck application.

I’ve been using the inspector website and it’s showing connection issues. I’ve also used the tool where it checks connections to other servers and they seem to be having an issue with every one on the inspectors site. The tool shows the quality is at 100 for the servers near me. Internet speed stays the same after going live.

Hey there! I have a REALLY weird problem, and I totally don't get it.... I am using the Kappa-Wall, but it doesn't show any normal Emotes anymore. My own Twitch Emotes and the other Twitch Emotes are no problem, but all the normal/windows Emotes are completely invisible. The thing is: This is valid for ALL Emote-Animation screens. Also in Streamelements and others...
The thing is: I have had that exact problem before. Last time I downloaded Firefox and changed my default browser, and the problem was gone. But now, no matter which browser I choose, the Emotes are invisible.
Could this be a Java or html problem? Or what code is used to display the normal Emotes? And why does it only affect the "normal" Emotes, but not the Twitch ones?

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The subscriber would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Hey! Does anyone know if there's a way to have display capture automatically stretch applications to 16:9? The game I play is in 4:3 but it doesn't work with game capture. I try to stream with display capture where it works and becomes visible, but only as a small box on the screen which leaves massive black bars surrounding it. Speed test on PC returning normal results? Is your bitrate lower than 6000? Did your network drivers get updated a few days ago with windows updates? Yeah, that's what's confusing me. The settings are the same between console and PC. I can run PS5 just fine. My MiSTer works great. But when I try to stream from PC, the bitrate craters. Bitrate hangs just below 5000 for MiSTer and PS5.

For example, when I try to stream Hades II, I get normal bitrates for about a minute, then the bitrate drops to the triple digits.

I wonder if it's something with the physical setup.

Definitely a PC problem. I’d start with any “gaming” software and disable it so it’s not trying to help. I’d no go, then I’d rollback your NIC drivers. We’ve had a few of those recently, most were 3rd party software.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

Dropped Frames are a network issue between you and the ingest for the platform you're streaming with. Its not a software problem. If you're streaming to Twitch, please run the Twitch Test per the tagged instructions below. 👇 Select all the ingests in your region (not just the one closest to you) and select Medium or Long Duration; Short Duration sounds great because of short, but it will give inconsistent results which don't help at all.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

If you don't have an MSI motherboard, that's fine. You'll need to reach out to your ISP and explain to them that you're trying to live stream to Twitch and that you're experiencing packet loss. There's something in the path, possible controlled by your ISP, that's causing this issue.

That's normal. Sounds like you have a Facebook account and a Twitch account. The Alert Box will present events from any platform you have merged in your Streamlabs account.

That’s an indication of the path the packets take from your cable modem to the ingest. You would need to reach out to your ISP. Settings in Streamlabs Desktop, OBS Studio, etc, won’t change that Quality score.

Having issues with Streamlabs Desktop not capturing and just getting a black screen?

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.
• This means you will want to start interacting with the "game" for about 5-20 seconds before it will be detected.

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to privacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The subscriber would need to set their subscriptions to public in YouTube's privacy settings https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy BEFORE clicking the subscribe button.

The setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter.

Make sure you’re clicking the Go Live button and not the button with the Calendar on it. The Calendar button will schedule a stream for a future date and time. If you are not intending to schedule a stream, you should also go into your YouTube Studio and delete all the upcoming live streams.

If you want just your overlays backed up you can go to settings > scene collections and then press "export overlay". You would need to do that for each scene collection but then once you've done that you can put those .overlay files onto a thumbdrive

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

If it’s making you use a business account, there is no way around it. Making money via twitch or another platform is considered a business. That money needs to be accounted and reported for tax purposes. Money isn’t free these days. Best to find a CPA who is familiar with streaming income (not hard to find these days) and discuss with them.

Not all transcode options in twitch are available to everybody all the time. People with partner status get first priority, then affiliate, then regular streamers. Right now it’s between 1700 and 2000 in the US, prime streaming time. You may just not have all your options. You can stream at 1080p all day, but if there isn’t available transcodes, you won’t have access to view that way. 760p is what Twitch likes to default a lot of streamers too. Must be easy on resources.

So I am using a streamlabs overlay with streamlabs ultra.

However when I look at my Live Scene it’s extremely small and won’t fit my full screen. All the other scenes (Intermissions, BRB, Stream Starting etc..) fit my editor screen no problem it’s just my Live Scene that is for some reason ridiculously small 😭 I’ve tried transform: fit to screen w/ no luck

I wonder if anyone can help. I have a 24/7 streaming channel. It streams a live feed 24/7 to Youtube.
Over the last two days, the stream has been connecting/disconnecting every few minutes. I have tried two different internet connections and it does the same on both.
Local area network seems fine and the feed to Streamlabs from the cameras is solid. Networking tests show constant good connection to youtube ingress servers.
I have no idea what else to try

Interestingly, even if I don't go live, it hangs every few minutes. It's like streamlabs is locking up

I am able to test my alerts via the Streamlabs dashboard and they all appear to work through the test inside of OBS. When I get a follow during stream, I see no alert and hear no sounds. All the other alerts appear to work while live.
