Did you go into the properties for the Alert Box Widget and enable the option Control audio via OBS? If not, then the Alert Box will use the Desktop Audio device for its output.

No. Window Capture doesn’t have that option. Game Capture might as it’s being introduced in the newest OBS Studio but Streamlabs Desktop typically lags behind a release of OBS. If you’re wanting to split your audio, we have a guide for that. 👇

I'm having trouble streaming on tiktok. I want to stream to tiktok and twitch via streamlabs. I have received permission. Everything is set. But an error appears.
But I have no restrictions and everything is approved. I stream through a proxy. Streaming to TikTok works through TikTok LIVE Studio, but it’s very inconvenient for me to stream through TikTok LIVE Studio and Streamlabs Desktop at the same time, I want to use the Streamlabs function for streaming to TikTok :(((

If you applied for and were granted for LIVE on Streamlabs, then in Streamlabs Desktop, log out and log back in. You should then be able to go live and don't need to input your stream key. If you applied for and were only granted LIVE on TikTok Studio, then that won't work for Streamlabs.

Hi there, I'm looking to have a hotkey reveal and hide a gif when I press it on stream. I've had a look at the hotkey settings and scrolled to the bottom, it seems to show all of the other sources like game captures, chat box and event list etc but there's no image source option.

Is there a way I can set up a hotkey for this, or would I have to manually tab out and enable/hide the gif I want?

Is it just me or is there a streamlabs issue? I am seeing no recent events on the website and thus i don't get alerts in my stream. Even though i know things have happened.
I feel like i'm going crazy, but i assume if the streamlabs website doesn't show any recent events, i won't get alerts on my stream.

I've never experienced this issue before, i know alerts work, as i've run a test from the website and the test alert runs. But when i get a follow on twitch, it doesn't show on the website and no alerts show on OBS.

Click the Filter button (looks like a funnel) and make sure everyting is selected. The next icon to the right should be a pause button. If that is a play button, then your alerts (events) are paused. Click it to resume events.

Looking at your Twitch Chat, I do see it shows a follow at 12:09PM today.

That should be reflected in your Recent Events page and Mini Feed if you're using Streamlabs Desktop.

If you know your Streamlabs ID 2FA, it is possible. If you don't know you 2FA or don't have access to it, then you won't be able to change it.

Alternative launchers can cause this to not be detected as a game, so you won't be able to use Game Capture. Try Window Capture.

I've noticed a huge increase in RAM usage with streamlabs version 1.16.7. For over 5 years it's been solid around 15-20% usage. Since update SL has been using 24-28GB of RAM... hmmmm anything in notes about this??

This is only possible if your Primary platform in your Streamlabs account is Twitch.

That's the total amount of RAM in use. Based on that screen shot, there's no way to see the actual memory usage of Streamlabs Desktop. I'd click the Processes tab in Task Manager and then see the actual memory usage of Streamlabs Desktop.

A few weeks back, the ndi audio stopped working on SL.. & since that update. I've noticed even the audio level animation in SL is super laggy.. stream is fine.. no drops

Can see the animation lagg here.. that was smooth prior to NDI issues yall had.

I'd create a new Scene Collection and see how things look. Then just add Game Capture. If usage is lower, recreate your Scenes and Sources from scratch.

I do seem to remember there have been a few reports of the mixer bars lagging like that.

Please go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP.

If the drop down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default.

If the drop down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10.

After that, click Done to save the settings and then restart Streamlabs Desktop and see if you can go live.

Alerts have nothing to do with your Cloudbot or Chatbot Loyalty systems. Sounds like there is an issue with your account. No way for me to be able to troubleshoot that - I just don't have any access to those systems. Volunteers aren't Streamlabs employees.

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service.

You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Either one of those options will start your 7 day free trail; cancel before the end of that 7 day period to avoid getting charged for the first term you select.

Are you multistreaming or using Dual Output? If you're multistreaming, this behavior is correct since with mutlistreaming the target ingest is Streamlabs and not Twitch. Twitch VOD track is only available if you're logged in with Twitch and only streaming to Twitch.

Please reboot your PC again and then please perform the following;

1. Copy: "%appdata% " then Press the Windows Key on your keyboard, Press CTRL + V then Press Enter
2. This will put you into your roaming folder, scroll down until you see " slobs-client "
3. Rename it to " _slobs-client "
4. Launch Streamlabs Desktop as Administrator. Let me know what happens.

This is going to act like a brand new install of Streamlabs Desktop. Your stuff will be saved in terms of overlays and such. It's just that your output settings will now be reset back to default and we'll need to readjust them again

No, don’t perform those steps. Try these instead…

Streamlabs Desktop launching as if it is a fresh/like it's the first time using it?
The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Check for any running programs called "Streamlabs," "Electron," or "Obs64". If you find either of these processes running, please right-click and end the process. https://gyazo.com/d6b9babb076875ee5889983b532948e1

Then, reopen Streamlabs Desktop. This should resolve it but if it doesn't please submit a ticket at https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and our team would be able to assist you further.

Hey my stream labs wont let me go live says to check streaming approval

So I was able to link my twitch Channel and streamlabs account on Google but when I went to login to streamlabs desktop I'll go to hit login with twitch and it will just spin for a minute and then bring me back to the same page. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling opening it and closing it. I have an acer laptop.

I'm having some issues with streamlabs music,, when i attempted to sign up (for the first time) it took ages to load, i had to restart the streamlabs app in order to get it to function at all, upon trying to make a new playlist, it loads eternally and never creates the playlist. additionally, the apps section is incredibly slow. I've restarted streamlabs multiple times and ran an internet test, which revealed that my internet was perfectly fine.

any help would be appreciated, im on a windows 10 pc if thats relevant and have a diagnostic report code if needed! ;;

Hey so i started using streamlabs recently and it was running perfectly fine. On day i tried to boot it up and it displayed a message saying to retry and if it didnt work to contact support. I tried opening it many times and i evenm tried deleteing it and reinstalling it multiple time to no avail. I use a iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) on version 10.15.17. Like i said before streamlabs was running perfectly fine before hand. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it.

Hi, is there a way to make it so that tts messages are held back along with display notifications when being screened by mods?

We have the approve/decline system on to moderate messages sent with donations, but it does not seem to apply to the tts so messages audibly play before they can actually be screened.

Currently the tts begins to play 7 seconds after being sent without its display notification appearing until it is approved or declined. So there is only 3 seconds to decline a message to prevent the tts from playing. Our work-around has been to press decline as fast as we can on all tts tips so that they can be read and then played with the replay button. However, 3 seconds is sometimes too short of a time period to move to decline them in time. Is there any way to extend the time it takes for tts to play or make it so that it does not play at all until it is approved?

This one will probably be easy. I am trying to stream to both Youtube account and Twitch account. Twitch works fine but when I try to stream to Youtube either dual or single stream it tells me that my youtube cant start since I am logged into my Streamlabs Desktop under my youtube email. I have kind of a weird issue. I'm trying to add a second monitor as a display capture source. For some reason it won't let me click the "Add Source" button, so I can't even get to the next screen to select the source. My cursor doesn't turn into the little hand when I hover over the button either.

@wispy lion streamlabs desktop lacks any features for manual local backups of your scene collection, but you could import them to obs-studio (when they weren't corrupt); now that they are corrupt, you'll likely have to re-do them by hand

Afaik affiliates can also get 1080p but it's based on a priority system/bandwidth availability on Twitch's end

I read this a while ago so take with a pinch of salt but basically, depending on how much bandwidth is available will determine if you have quality options for your stream. If you output at 1080p, you'll stream at 1080p regardless

hello! i am doing a charity fundraiser and am currently trying to send a test donation to my fund. no matter what i try, i am unable to get any donations through, and i get the error "the request cannot be fulfilled for the current shopper". i have tried using different emails, logging in and out of streamlabs, and also a different browser, but nothing works. (i know it is not a card issue because i am able to donate to OTHER charities just fine) any help? thanks in advance.

Hey, I’m on vacation and I’m not able to assist fully. Make sure that Custom HTML/CSS is disabled. Make sure the Chatbox Widget is at the top of the Source list. Go to Settings > Advanced > Sources and uncheck Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration. If none of that helps:

Clear your Desktop browser cache...

1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop
2. Hit windows key + R
3. Paste this and hit enter %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser
4. Delete the cache folder
5. Startup Streamlabs Desktop again

streamlabs' service seems to have a bug where if you use their rebroadcasting service (which is always the case for console streaming), they can fail to stop your broadcast, so it just goes on until twitch disconnects it due to reaching maximum broadcast duration (48 hours)

How to remove Black Bars from your stream

• In Windows Display Settings, you would need to make sure you have a 16:9 monitor resolution (Typically 1920x1080)
• In the game you're playing, you would want the render resolution to be 16:9 as well. (Basically matching info from above)
• In Streamlabs Desktop > Settings > Video > Base Resolution, that would also need to be 16:9 resolution (Same as above)

If any of those things are not being done, then your stream is not going to be true 16:9 and your game will have black bars.

• You can select the capture source in your sources list > right click it > transform > fit/stretch to screen, should help```

@queen hull "faulty stream key"? that's outright impossible, "stream key" is just a part of the rtmp url, and if it's incorrect, the server will reject the connection, or drop it if it's already active when the stream key is changed

this was the instructions the guy gave me xD So to make sure you're able to go live to Twitch regardless, can I have you try with the custom ingest method on the Streamlabs Desktop App?

Go to the ⚙️ icon on the bottom left of your Streamlabs Desktop App. Then go to the "Stream" settings and select "Stream to custom Ingest" at the bottom.
Stream type: Streaming Services
Service: Twitch
Server: the closest geographical
And place your stream key in the correct slot.

To get your Twitch Stream key, please visit your Creator Dashboard on Twitch. Drop down the menu for "Settings" on the left side. Select "Stream," and your Stream Key should be in the area called "Primary Stream Key."

Hi there, would anyone know how to fix the mini feed not updating in streamlabs obs?
Bit of a stretch, but I see a lot of people have had the same issue, and just swapped to OBS, due to no known answer.
I've logged out and re installed the latest version 3 times, restarted my pc, deleted sources, and remade them (The latest folowers wasn't updating), to no avail, and the only other options I have seen online were to contact this discord server for help.

I'd rather not have to swap to OBS, as I like my set up atm!

Managing Moderator is not correct for Cloudbot. Toggle off, remove Streamlabs as a Managing Moderator and add it as a Standard Moterator. Wait 10 minutes then toggle Cloudbot on.

👉 IMPORTANT: Do not skip or shorten the waits.

4. Toggle Cloudbot back on
5. Mod streamlabs
6. Wait 10 minutes before trying commands

Log in at the Streamlabs web site with your YouTube channel. That establishes your Steamlabs account. Then login in Streamlabs Desktop with that same YouTube. That will automatically ready your stream key. There isn’t a need to enter manually.

Adding Kick in as a custom destination would be the correct set-up for multi-streaming, but if you're looking to go live to Kick by itself, you'll want to choose "stream to a custom ingest" as shown in the linked guide.

I'm also trying to crossplatform stream so i have an Elgato HD 60 Capture Card as well as a Chat Link Pro due to the fact that im streaming from a PS5. I have all of the proper equipment and i know how to connect the Elgato equipment but i have no idea how to intergrate all of it into streamlabs and make everything work... Is this something anyone is capable of helpinh me with? I've been at this for almost three days now and i literally just want to stream. I've spent tons of money on the equipment but just need the time with someone to walk me through setting it all up and making it actualy work.. Lol. It’s best to have an intimate knowledge of how everything works and how it’s setup for when something inevitably goes wrong. Have you gone though the #1173605643484139591 articles. Hi there You do have an option to add URLs as a "custom URL" in the mobile app. Users use this source-type to display scoreboards (just as an example) and other browser-sourced graphics/widgets.

Try going into your Streamlabs Desktop/OBS Studio Settings > Advanced > Sources. Disable "Browser Source Hardware Acceleration". Then restart the program and test again. Will you let me know if that helps?

In the settings the video tab set base and canvas to 1440 thats the recoding, in output setting change that to 1080 or 720 for the stream.

You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Either one of those options will start your 7 day free trail; cancel before the end of that 7 day period to avoid getting charged for the first term you select.

i did try increasing the width and height in the browser source and addedd the code into its CSS, it may be a (little) better i think but I'm still having the same issue, I've sent a ticket to streamlabs support with all of the info so it might be a bug or maybe I'm just doing it wrong ,, is there any specific way to place the code into the CSS or just as long as its there kind of thing ?

@real rain normally, appending it to the end of the CSS field in obs-studio's browser source or streamlabs desktop's browser source would suffice, but in context of dealing with streamlabs' widgets specifically, that may not work, since streamlabs does something weird to undo any custom CSS you try to apply

Here are two possible solutions based on your limited information:

If you don’t have a button for Twitch,

You have recording only mode enabled.

Settings > General > Uncheck the "Disable Livestreaming Features"

Or if the button for Twitch doesn’t respond,

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

I have a browser source (Foundry VTT chat/combat stream) that requires logging into my game server before it can be seen. I have added the page as a browser source, and can right click it and choose "interact" however the text sent is not working properly. I cannot paste, the arrow keys and backspace send characters, and typing in a password only takes the first few characters. This is using Streamlabs Desktop on Mac. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Hey! So, after using Streamlabs for the past bit, I've noticed that the program itself gets choppy as hell after being live for more than a few hours. The stream doesn't really have any noticeable issues, usually, but my audio bars and everything else gets very laggy and kind of unresponsive. Really, I've really just noticed a huge overall performance overhead, compared to when I was using OBS Studio, taking way more resources to do the same things. Is there any tips or anything y'all can give to help make my life a bit easier and make this thing run a bit better?
