It depends on the platform you're going live with on the Confirm & Go Live window; you might need to click the Show Advanced Settings toggle to see the settings you can change that are now global for every platform. Twitch, YouTube, and Trovo permit this. Facebook is making changes to their platform and while I believe you can still change the category; they no long permit you to set the name of the game. TikTok only allows you to use the category of Gaming as far as I understand out integration with TikTok (and I don't use TikTok).

That's unusual. I'd double check the Alert Duration. It should match the length of the image or sound file. Definitely should not be longer.

Ah, you're manually connecting via RTMP URL and stream key. In that case you'd need to set up your stream on Twitch and then go live in Streamlabs Desktop.

What you should do though, if you really want to take advantage of all the Streamlabs features, is go to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your Twitch channel. Then in Streamlabs Desktop, log in with that same Twitch channel.

No, you don't need the web site open all the time. You just want to log in there with your Twitch to set up your Streamlabs account. Then you want to log in in Streamlans Desktop with that same Twitch.

Some YouTube subscriptions won't show due to provacy settings on the viewer's account.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

As the streamer, there's not much you can do about it. It would be up to the viewer to make their subscription Public before subscribing to your channel but tis hard to convey that.

My suggestion, if you're just starting out, is keep it simple. You don't need every single widget and feature. Add them over time as your channel and viewer base grows. All I have is the Alert Box. Personally I find having Chat on stream is distracting from the game play. Platforms like YouTube and Twitch have a dedicated chat for viewers and with YouTube, you can see that chat if you're watching a replay of the lvie stream.

If you unchecked Enforce streaming service.. and set you Keyframes to 2, you should be good.

Ideally, with Twitch, their capped bitrate of 6000 isn't enough for 1080p60. I'd suggest setting your Output Resolution to 1280x270 and keep your bitrate at 6000.

Hi. Could I get some help? Even though I have high-end PC, I have so many issues and so many options don't work that I'm about to go crazy.

Those setting look fine although your FPS of 143 is not ideal. I'd drop that down to 120. You want the FPS to be even divisible by 60; 143 isn't. Also set your Keyframes and Max B Frames to 2.

I am having issues going live and recording videos. This started happening after I upgraded to Ultra. I was able to go live to Twitch yesterday. I have done everything including uninstalling and reinstalling. At first it was just an issue with going live. Then after I reinstalled in won't let me record either. So I have been having issues with alerts not triggering on my stream for subs. My Bit alerts works fine, I am using Streamlabs console. I was going to do the disconnect option then reconnect accounts but when I go to my Twitch connections it's not showing Streamlabs as being connected in the list ... I am able to use overlays and stream just fine going through Streamlabs on my Xbox but I am confused as to why it's not showing on the connection list on Twitch itself... any advice?

Hi! I am on PC and trying to set up Streamlabs OBS in conjuntion with my Focusrite 18i8 Scarlett Audio Interface and Ableton 12 Lite so that I can record playing instruments with 3 microphones. Specifically I am trying to stream myself playing handpan that is captured with 2x Neumann KM184s (set to all Left and all Right respectfully) and an SM 58 microphone underneath to capture the more bassey sounds. I am using Reastream to route the Audio from Ableton to Streamlabs, however, when I play a recording back, it sounds like all the notes played are doubled... Hi, I'm trying to sort animations for Follows, Bits, Raids etc. I managed to do this but I realised I had done it on the default Twitch theme. So I changed it to the theme I had purchased a while ago but now when I try to add the same animations they don't show up and are instead replaced with the theme. Hope that makes sense? I want to keep everything else on the theme but I want to add these animations.

Normally any follows or subs are shown below my camera as a lil pop up but I thought adding an animation would spice it up a bit, but it won't even work 😦

Hi, the streamer that i mod for is having some issues with Streamolabs. He had to change his Twitch password and since then the event list (followers, sub, etc) is not updating in Streamlabs so he does not get any alerts.

He already tried to reconnect Streamlabs to Twitch and even refresh the API Token but nothing seems to fix the issue

The streamer needs to log out and log back in at the Streamlabs web site. To do that they should click their PFP in the upper right corner of the site and choose Log out. If they also use Streamlabs Desktop, they need to log out and log back in there as well: see below image on how to log out/log in with Streamlabs Desktop.

The embedded chat dock and Chatbox Widget would only work if you've connected your YouTube account to Streamlabs by logging in at the Streamlabs web site with your YouTube channel and then logging in Streamlabs Desktop with that same YouTube channel. The Custom Ingest doesn't use the Streamlabs to YouTube API so thus none of our services and widget would work.

There's no way to link Streamlabs Desktop to a stream from a console. With Xbox, you could use our subscription service Streamlabs Console which lets you stream from your Xbox while taking advantage of our services like Cloudbot and our Widgets like the Alert Box.

I have an issue, where streamlabs doesnt pick up all the visuals in the game. For example: Hearthstone; all the card visuals are black boxes, the hero power is encased in a black box, the portraits have black boxes. another example: Huntshowdown; I can c the guns, n load outs in the lobby, but everything thats "2nd" layer is black, as if the gamma is set to lowest. in a game, its uber dark. It seems to be varrying different from game to game on how its exactly effected, but its the same issue.

On game capture, if i use DISPLAY capture it looks fine

Then why not use Game Capture if it works as expected? Game Capture is the most efficient of the capture methods.

Good evening. Can anybody explain me how i can save a szene to my computer and load that szene again when i log out and login with another twitch account for example? Or have i set up the szenes always new?

To manually save your scene collection you can do so in the gear icon for settings > Scene Collections > Export Overlay File.

This will give you a file that you can save and put anywhere.

When logging in with a different account in Streamlabs Desktop, you can use the import overlay file in the same location to load that same file.

I'm having a problem with switching accounts

Sometime ago i made a YouTube account but sense then that account is now deleted and i have a new Youtube Channel, Streamlabs has made that account the primary on the website and the application but i stream on twitch and its not been an issue until now.

When logging out of twitch in Streamlabs to switch to YouTube it defaults back to the old channel that doesn't exist and trying to change the account that is linked doesn't fix the issue either because it still defaults back to the original YouTube channel.

Been seeing this a bunch today, it looks like streamlabs 1.16.7 upgraded one of its dependencies (realm.js from 11.x to 12.x) which breaks on older versions of macos (definitely anything older than 12.7 Montery, so if running an M1 on big sur still for sure going to be an issue, may break on older dot versions of newer macos like Sonoma as well). Making sure macos is upto date is likely the fix at the moment.

(You can confirm this is indeed the issue I’ve seen by looking at ~/Library/Application Support/slobs-client/app.log there will be an error that shows up in there after you launch streamlabs and it crashes that says it couldn’t load realm.node due to missing symbol)

Hi, I have a net speed of 1,000Mb Download / 100Mb Uploads.
No crashes or jitters - stable and consistent.

Trying to go live with 4,000-6,000 Bitrate.
All settings are correct, checked 1,000 times.
Don't know what's wrong
I would appreciate some help what it could be from people who experienced the same and solved it.

I feel like there is something who limiting me and I don't know what is it.
The stream worked for me *once (for straight 3 minutes) very very well and I stopped the live, day after - I was going to go live and again couldn't reach above 2,000+- kb/s and a lot of drop frames again.

Select Medium or Long Duration and select all the ingest in your region. Only have the Twitch Test running. Don't have anything using your upload bandwidth.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

From Streamlabs Desktop, please screen shot the following Settings ⚙️ : Video and Output (if you're Output Mode is Advanced, screen shot both Output -> Streaming and Output > Recording).

Twitch is definitely being blocked somewhere between you and the Twitch ingest. You'll need to contact your ISP and explain to them that you're trying to live stream to Twitch and can't connect to the Twitch ingest (server). This will likely be difficult to track down and might take a while to resolve.

You could verify that Streamlabs Desktop is allowed through your firewall but that's not a guaranteed fix: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-open-your-windows-firewall

hello, I am trying to merge my tiktok account to my streamlab account. everytime i press on merge nothing happens. I tried to use a different browser, I also tried removing the access from privacy settings in the tiktok app and merging the accounts again but nothing is working for me. Additionally I tried to log in into streamlabs using my tiktok account but I get the "we are unable to log you at this time" pop up on the top corner. First off, if your default web browser is either Chrome or Opera, I'd switch the default web browser to either Microsoft Edge or Firefox (Windows) or Safari or Firefox (Mac).

1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
2. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
3. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
4. Find the default apps section.
5. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)

If your request was approved by TikTok for Live on Streamlabs, it should appear like this:

Live for TikTok Studio is different and that on;y grants you live streaming access from the TikTok Studio app. That doesn't give you live streaming access in Streamlabs.

I was using the widget in slobs, had the problem so I downloaded the standalone and had same issue. I did just add a text source and chose the correct txt file from the streamlabels folder and it put it on screen the way I want it. Thank you so much!

If you're using Streamlabs Desktop, you want to add the Chatbox Widget in order to have your stream chat on screen during the stream.
And with YouTube, you have to be live with a Public stream. Chatbox won't work with a Private or Unlisted stream.

If your using OBS Studio, you can add the Chatbox Widget as a Browser Source. Just grab the Widget URL from here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/chatbox.

Good afternoon all! Starting on Thursday, suddenly all of my Browser Source content, including my built in SL-created alerts for things like follows and donations, but also stuff like content from SoundAlerts and some Virtual Camera content, all just...stopped working.

It seems like it may have coinsided with Twitch's change to Channel Points, but today I realized even clicking "Test Widget" for things like Follows was only playing sounds, but not displaying any visuals at all. It seems to have happened mid-stream on Thursday night (between 6 pm and 9 pm PST if that helps).

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this and how to fix it? Every setting looks normal in SL, and I've already done the usual restarts / check for updates / refresh browser cache steps.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

Last night, I could not go live. I used to be able to. Now I am getting a mysterious “failed to connect error”. I have tried resetting my Twitch connection in stream labs several times and still get it. I was able to play multiplayer civ and upload test was fine. I tried making a ticket last night but the app was down. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know what to do to find logs or what I can do? I tried googling and the suggestion I found was reset your twitch connection in the app which I did about 4 times.

I can check back late tonight and try what's asked I'm just kinda bummed I couldn't make a ticket.

Also by "app was down" I mean I filled out the ticket a few times, but when I pressed submit it just took me back to the ticket with all my details filled in. I tried on two browsers.

I'm willing to email a no response email with everything in the ticket, I'd just like some help or a log directory to look at or something.

for the twitch test did you actually paste in your stream key? If so, i would probably regenerate it > relog in Streamlabs and try again. Cause right now inf you're getting failed on a third party thing (which the twitch test is) something is mess up in general

Okay, sorry about that. Please reboot your PC to clear out any possible stuck Streamlabs processes and then don't try and launch Streamlabs Desktop but rather:

1. Go to the Streamlabs web site and download a fresh installer.
2. Run the installer as administrator. No need to uninstall first!
3. Let it install over your existing installation.
4. At the end of the installer, don't let it launch Streamlabs Desktop.
5. Quit the installer and reboot your PC again.
6. Once your PC is back, launch Streamlabs Desktop and let me know what happens.

In your screen shot, Streamlabs Desktop is only using 21% of your CPU. Since the screen shot is highly cropped, I can’t see what else is using your CPU.
If you’re concerned about the 21% usage, I’d create a new scene collection, not just a new scene, and see how it goes. If the usage is more acceptable to you, recreate your scenes and sources from scratch in the new scene collection.

Is there a way for a host of a Colab Cam session to switch between the guest's cam and screen share? I'd like to be able to flip between these sources during a stream as needed. Currently, we can only find a way for the guest to change what source is visible within the Colab Cam scene in my host session. Is there no way for the host to choose which source from the guests is displayed?

Roblox added an anti cheat feature last year that broke the ability of Game Capture to work. You'll need to use Window Capture.

1. add a new Window Capture source
2. select Roblox from the window list
3. change the Capture Method to "Windows 10"

On Windows 10, you will see a yellow border around the game which cannot be disabled. This is not visible in your stream and can be ignored

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.

hi there - i'm hoping i've posted this in the right spot, but this is in regards to the Stream Labels program i use alongside Regular OBS when i go live on Twitch, hopefully there are two issues i can address here. They're both pertaining to the specific value created in the text file for "Total Bits Donated on Stream."

• ( 1 ) Twitch rolled out a new concept within the last week called POWER-UPs, where people can donate bits to trigger events in the chat. However, the amount donated per POWER-UP does not add to the Total Bits value as if it was a regular donation, nor does any of the POWER-UP donations show up on other variables. Can this be fixed so the Twitch Power-Ups are considered regular Bits donations and therefore would also be added to the overall total and other variables?

• ( 2 ) I also use Crowd Control on my livestreams, in which I can have viewers spend bits to get Crowd Control coins to contribute to the madness. Those bits don't get included on the Total Bits value, either, but that makes more sense seeing that this information can come from a third party. Is it possible to create this as another variable - where you can keep track of how many bits have been donated for Crowd Control coins? Or is this something CC would have to integrate?

• ( 3 ) This one is more of a suggestion, but could be a helpful tool here. If I have two separate .txt variables, like let's say we have a total number of subscribers for the stream and the total number of new followers, and I wanted to add them together to create a custom variable, can that be an option for Stream Labels users moving forward? I don't know how to take the numerical values of the .txt files created and get them to automatically add and update to a new .txt file for my overlay.

Hey @gritty isle I'm starting to make some progress since our last talk, previously "Bandwidth" showed me 'failed' and you suggested to talk with the ISP.
Now it shows me limited bandwidth (It's getting peaked to 1,800 kbps and instantly lowering itself) also getting of course poor "Quality" result.
I am still in communication with ISP, they are trying to monitor the problem, we opened NAT and changed DNS address, we open port 1935/TCP & I am currently trying to talk to them about RMTP protocol and maybe RMTP protocol is not active and they need to activate it. (I don't even know if there is a Enable/Disable to this protocol)

According to my latest TwitchTest can you see a solution to the problem?
Must mention again that my net speed is 1,000 Mb(Download) / 100 Mb(Upload) stable & consistent net without Issues.
My hardware equipment:
RTX 3080 Ti
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
32 GB RAM

When you log into Streamlabs Desktop with the platform you are wanting to use, it automatically reads the stream key for your channel; you don't have to specifically enter it for Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Trovo, X, or TikTok.

If you're using a platform other than those, you have to go to Settings > Stream > scroll all the way down > Stream to custom ingest

You can ignore that. When you go live from Streamlabs Desktop, it will create an event and use that event. Since that event isn't setup in YouTube Studio, you will see that message in YouTube Studio. Instead, check your channel specifically to make sure you're live.

Hi everyone, I am trying to fix my studio mode display and I cannot figure it out. I have the classic Studio Mode layout with the Editor Display across the top. My issue is that the preview of the scene from the scene selector section is not displaying anytyhing, just a black screen. It allows me to click on the scene I would like and when I click on transition, it appears on the live screen on the right but does not show in the preview, the preview screen remains black the whole time. Hi there, I'm having an issue where subscriptions aren't showing up in my Recent Events dashboard on Streamlabs, but they are showing up on the Twitch dashboard. This is resulting in no alerts going to the alertbox, even though test subs and real followers still result in alerts. I've seen several other people with this issue, but I haven't found a solution yet. Has anyone figure it out?

Things I've tried:

1. Disconnecting and reconnection streamlabs from Twitch (multiple times)
2. Refreshing Streamlabs alertbox on OBS
3. Checking the filter on the recent events box to make sure everything is enabled.

It really seems like Streamlabs just isn't receiving twitch subscriptions for some reason.

Apologies if this is something I'm overlooking; but I'm trying to find the auto-optimze feature. I tend to have to use it before each stream or else the stream quality is questionable at best.

In my search for answers I find two responses;

1. It Doesn't show up unless youre logged into Twitch on stream labs

Which I am. I have even tried logging out and back in.

2. Troubleshooting tips about lowering the stream quality, which for some reason doens't tend to work for me. It's like my bandwidth is inconsistent or something, IDK what that's about.

They didn't get rid of the Auto Optimize button or something... did they?

You can't, you'd have to have streamlabs console, which unfortunately isn't free. But streamlabs desktop is for PC specifically.

You can just refresh the widgets if you go to the streamlabs website and go to recent events. Then go to live actions then scroll down to refresh widgets.
