you may need a hacky solution. If you need discord open, run it on your phone and stream from the laptop

if you need web pages, also open those on your phone

this is 100% a guess but I imagine streamlabs doesn't response well to trying to stream 1920x1080p from a source of different dimensions. Perhaps it captures the full monitor when the window is too small?

I'd just add checking Cloudbot toggle before going live to work flow. For me, I open two browser tabs during my pre-going live work, one for Cloudbot on Twitch and one for Cloudbot on YouTube. There was a recently Cloudbot maintenance so thaty was likely what you experienced.

Quick question: A friend is doing a subathon and is using the "Sub Goal"-Widget. It has been working perfectly for the last two weeks, but since today the subgoal isnt "accepting" sub-gifts anymore and so the counter isnt getting updated if anyone gifts a sub. He tried logging out and in on the streamlabs-site, but that didnt fix anything. Has someone else experienced something similar?

Only way that could happen if the Sub Goal Widget was stopped, the settings adjusted, and the Sub Goal restarted OR the Sub Goal ended (end date reached).

Also make sure that Custom HTML/CSS wasn't enabled and that its set for Subscriber Goal and not Sub Points Goal.

Hello! I'm having some difficulties with my chatbox during my YouTube livestreams. I've noticed that sometimes it just doesnt work—and I can't figure out what to even trouble shoot. The other issue is that I have been streaming horizontal and vertical simultaneously and during my last stream it just showed the vertical chat. If I can only have one show up that is ok—I just want to make it the horizontal one. Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you testing via the Test Widgets button in Streamlabs Desktop? If so, that won't test alert variations. To test your alert variations, go to the Alert Box Widget page on the Streamlabs web site, https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox, go the Bits alert, then find your variation, and then click Preview or Test Variation.

I’m using most of the live scene from the animated Starry Rain (I’m not using a webcam), but there are stream starting, brb and ending screens of other overlays I like more. When you work on your alerts on the Streamlabs web site, those changes are saved in your Streamlabs account which is accessible when you are using Streamlabs Desktop. I prefer using the web site for workin on my alerts.

Hey guys quick question I am allowed to stream TikTok from streamlabs and have been I don’t have a stream key I was approved and streamlabs auto connects to TikTok but now with the obs streamlabs plug in id prefer to go back to obs but now it’s asking for a stream key on TikTok. If you applied for and were granted for LIVE on Streamlabs, then in Streamlabs Desktop, log out and log back in. You should then be able to go live and don't need to input your stream key. If you applied for and were only granted LIVE on TikTok Studio, then that won't work for Streamlabs.

Hey Rufus, we were talking earlier about a Sub Goal not working. We checked and everything was setup just like you said! I think the problem must be somewhere else, because some form of subs are coming through and are added to the goal, some are not. The weird part is, if he re-announces them via the dashboard -> recent events, some more are working and he actually cant re-announce some of the sub events. If he clicks the button, nothing happens. Do you have any tips how to approach this problem? Sorry for the weird rambling, I dont really know how to explain it

Sometimes it gets added to the sub-goal sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes the old events wont even play

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Good evening! I have a problem with SLOBS, when I started before the stream opened OBS with a new user setup window (I did not reinstall) tried to cancel, restart the application, but nothing to do. After restarting SLOBS started but without all my scenes.

Streamlabs Desktop launching as if it is a fresh/like it's the first time using it?
The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Check for any running programs called "Streamlabs," "Electron," or "Obs64". If you find either of these processes running, please right-click and end the process. https://gyazo.com/d6b9babb076875ee5889983b532948e1

Then, reopen Streamlabs Desktop. This should resolve it but if it doesn't please submit a ticket at https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and our team would be able to assist you further.

The alert volume for subs is like 4-7% while the rest are around 50%. So it might just be the volume on the alerts. Please double check your sound volumes.

I understand the issue and we suggest clearing the browser cache in OBS Studio. There's not a magic switch I can throw to fix your issue. Simply repeating the same thing isn't going to resolve it.

Apologies the support experience isn't what you expected. The only other option is to refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Twitch.

1. Log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PHP in the upper right corner of the web page and choose Log out.
2. Log out in Streamlabels and quit it.

Is there a simple solution of hiding "alt+tab" screen when you're streaming a game?

I know you could run the game on windowed full screen however im too lazy to do it for EVERY single game
I know you can also turn the alt+tab feature off entierly from windows settings but if there is a solution then id rather not.

1. Your Output Resolution should be 1280x720
2. Your Bitrate should be 3500
3. Set your stream title AND category on your Kick Dashboard before going live.

Kick limits you to 1280x720 is your a new channel or if your previous stream has 3 or less viewers.

For YouTube:

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

hello, i'm having an issue where streamlabs is connected to twitch, but none of the notifications from twitch has gone through since my stream two days ago. i just got stuff with affiliate set up about an hour ago, but idk how much that info will help as one of the notifications not going through was 17 hours ago, but figured i'd give that extra context incase that will give a little more insight on what might be the issue

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the platform will resolve this.

Please follow the instructions exactly in this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account.

Don't skip the log out steps! To log out of the Streamlabs web site, click your PFP in the upper right corner of the web site and choose Log out. See the image below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.

👉 NOTE: **This will not go back and capture any events that were missed. Events are sent over the API once and if they aren't detected that event will never be sent again.

You'll need a new event (new follow on Twitch, new subscriber on YouTube, etc) as verification. I can follow on Twitch or subscribe on YouTube for verification if you like. An unfollow/refollow or unsubscribe/resubscribe won't trigger a new alert.**

Not much we can help with for that. Make sure that both ends of the power cord are firmly seated. Could be the power supply has failed. No way to tell remotely.

Sadly, that is correct. Events are only sent over the API once. If they aren't detected, then they are missing forever - they never get sent across the API again - Twitch (and other platforms) just don't do that.

3. Go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms and unmerge your Twitch and then merge it back. Then log out of the Streamlabs web site.

4. You will need a never ever before followed you follow as a test.

Make sure on the Sub alert, that you have Custom HTML/CSS disabled and if you have any variations that show as Unknown, delete those specific variations.

Hi guys, I just ended a stream in which some viewers tipped some money and then I checked my PayPal and nothing showed up so I guessed there is a delay and the money will come after a while. Then I checked the PayPal email I have connected with my twitch account and turns out I had misspelled my name and there was a 'w' instead of an 's'. I quickly disconnect that false email and connect the right one. Where will that money go? And the funny thing is that there wasn't a PayPal account with that misspelled email, cause there isn't such email in the first place 😛

So last week, my YouTube stream disconnected. When I reconnected, the stream was on the same page instead of creating a new stream. This week however, a new stream was made instead of returning to the original stream page. How do you make it so YouTube won't split the stream into two VODs?

It all depends on how fast you reconnect. There’s not a setting that controls that.

But if it's longer than that, then it'll get split into 2 VODs.

So I’ve had this issue for ever with the alert widget I’ve done every known thing I could possibly do I’ve reset alerts started over re added everything my issue is someone comes in and let’s say likes the live the alert goes off without a hitch the sound the picture and everything then 30 seconds later the audio plays again just the audio and again I’ve tried EVERYTHING does anyone have ANY idea as to why the audio repeats ?

Hi there, hope you are all well! I'm trying to troubleshoot the StreamLabs Alert Box (Which I have as a Browser Source in OBS) for a streamer that I work with. They granted me non-admin access to their dash in order to edit and add alert variations.

I have several variations that play different animations/videos. That apply to...

• Gifting 1 Sub
• Gifting between 2-4 Subs
• Gifting 5-9 Subs
• Gifted 10+ Subs
• Continued Sub
• ReSub

These all use to work flawlessly but recently, the following stopped working...

• Gifting 1 Sub
• Continued Sub
• ReSub

As a test, I changed the video animation on the Resub Alert. They only work if I run the Test button at the bottom of the Variation settings and Test function at the top of the page after selecting the correct trigger.

There was one odd occasion that one ReSub event triggered quite some time after the event occurred (about 10 minutes later), and it didn't play the new video, it still had the old one which then kept replaying while the text remained static. The only way to remove it was to refresh the Browser Source.

I've tried the following solutions

• Gone through each variation to double check settings to make sure there are no errors
• I've reloaded the widget via Live Actions
• I've had them log off StreamLabs
• I've gotten the Streamer to remove the StreamLabs connection from their Twitch Settings
• I've gotten them to log back on to reestablish the connection
• Browser Source has been refreshed
• OBS has been closed and reopened

StreamLabs is now no longer updating or receiving event information from Twitch, as the Recent Events now no longer updates, even after a few Follow/Subs tests. The Alert Box is now completely broken and unresponsive to any Twitch events.

The StreamLabs Alert Box now only triggers when running tests within the Alert Box settings.

I'm assuming that there's some sort of disruption of communication between StreamLabs and Twitch. What's going on?

I've also noticed an increase of others having issues and broken Alert Boxes. Did this new overhaul break everything? Some people rely on these alerts for income, this is pretty nuts.

Hi, I did the update on your website and it completely ruined my variations on subscriptions. When someone gifts a sub to one person it works fine but when they gift multiple subs it just says so & so gifted (amount) subs to viewers. I had it where it independently listed all of the people who were gifted by that one viewer one by one. So alert would go off and it would say so & so gifted person 1, then alert would go off again & it would say so & so gifted person 2. I don’t know how to fix it & make it how it use to be but I like it where it shows each gifted sub by a viewer to each person gifted independently so all the viewers can see who actually got gifted. When I open streamlabs, I cannot hear my capture card audio. If I stream and watch the vod, you can hear it so the audio does exist.

For me, Youtube events aren't showing on my Streamlabs account. Streamlab tips work, as well as test donations and test superchats. But when people superchat/or become a member on stream, neither is there an alert nor is there an event in the event list. It seems like Youtube's events aren't communicated to Streamlabs anymore - like an api issue. I've had this issue for almost a week and I can't seem to find a fix...

I was about to go live and I'm trying to get my stream started and I've run into an issue. Game Capture is not pulling up the game (Windowed Borderless iirc), but the AAC is picking up the audio just fine. Restarted Streamlabs. Restarted Game. Restarted System. Attempted Specific Window, Any Fullscreen, and Auto.
Deleted Sources - Refreshed - Added again to same issue.
SL picks up everything else for my stream no problem but is currently not picking up that application. It also states taht the Specified Window is not a game.
Note: 2 weeks ago, it worked just fine and I had no issues streaming it.

Note: Window Capture works just fine - but it's not capturing it via the Game Capture - which is the preferred/ideal method for processing/encoding on my end.

If your capture card has a line out set, it may be routing the audio directly to Streamlabs - You may need to have to check your CapCard Settings and set it to output to either Desktop (Your Default Audio Output, like Headphones Realtek USB2.0 Audio or Speakers) , or to a specific line from which you can monitor/capture with Streamlabs at the same time.

So, like how my Audio has multiple Line In 's - Mic, Capture Card, I even have some specific programs that have their own audio lines for mixing. Sometimes it will set it to output to the Default Desktop on Streamlabs, or I select it manually in the audio dropdown list for Audio Output Capture or Input Capture.

In your settings for your capture card, where is it outputting to? Desktop Audio or elsewhere? Because if the Audio Monitor on Streamlabs can see it, it may not also be outputting to your headphones etc.

Hey, I am using Streamlabs Cloudbot and trying to be on YouTube for vertical and normal streams since a lot of YouTube's community is from mobile. I am trying to figure out how to run the bot on 2 different chats since I use the stremlabs bot for my chat currency so my viewers can get prizes for watching.

My concerns are the following: Can I run this on 2 different stream chats at the same time? If a user was in both chats at the same time would they be getting 2x the amount they should be getting?

I'm not entirely sure where the best place to ask this question is, so I'll try here. In the last couple weeks there were a couple updates to Streamlabs OBS for desktop. Before then, everything was fine, no problems. Afterwards, I could no longer monitor audio output from local video files (MP4s, etc.). The files play with audio and video fine outside of streamlabs. My community can hear the audio from the videos, but I, as the streamer, cannot monitor nor hear the audio from said videos. The problem isn't with the capture card or alerts. It's only with the video file sources. For reference, I am on Win11. This problem persists through both desktop speakers as well as headphones. Any ideas? I've wracked my brain to death trying to fix it short of uninstalling and reinstalling streamlabs. If this is the wrong place to ask, just point me in the right direction, and I'll be on my way.

So as of today streamlabs will set up the stream and state that its live, but when I check the channels (YT/Twitch/Tiktok) There is nothing being bradcasted, in fact each platform says I am not even live. I wonder if its a network issue becasue I can close stream labs open OBS and then with the exact same encoder seetings stream to each of the same platform without any issue. This leaves me thinking it is specifically a stream labs and or stream labs traffick issue?

Hello. I was using normal OBS for quite a while now, and decided to switch to streamlabs obs, even purchased ultra. Just for comparison: using normal OBS I could run a game with maxed graphic settings, a crome browser opened with many tabs, and few other programs, and during that my cpu usage was around 3%! But only starting Streamlabs obs eats ubelievable 50% of cpu and memory. I did a first test stream, and even closing all the programs and browser didn't help, whole PC was lagging. My pc: AMD Ryzen 7 3.80 GHz, RTX 3060Ti, 32GB RAM. The settings, including encoder were absolutely the same as in normal obs, GPU encoder. So please tell me, what's the problem, and why streamlabs obs with identical settings works SO bad? Is there any solution?

I disconnected and reconnected my Streamlabs with Twitch and the subscription alert still isn't fixed. I guess subscriber alerts are just broken?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out.

Everyone who is having trouble with resubscriptions through Twitch, while using Streamlabs... If you goto the streamlabs website and goto edit the alerts for subscriptions, there's a new dropdown menu that adds alert edits for Resubs, Gift Subs, Anonymous Gifts, Community Gifts and Anonymous Community Gifts. I'm thinking you'll have to edit all of these. After looking through all the sections, I found out that they all have different alert sets and they all go with what I've been seeing while I'm live on Twitch. I'm not sure if disabling these other categories will fix the problem, my plan is to set them all how I originally wanted them and hope it works.

After editting all these alerts and making them how I want them, I can confirm that this is what happened that busted everyones resubscriptions. Streamlabs didn't let anyone know this is happening, just let it all break, but here's the fix, and I hope this helps. 🙂

Settings -> Scene collections have an option to disable media files back up. More likely, the scenes/sources got a lot going on that's increasing CPU usage

For me it's been a few weeks. However, the custom name stopped working when the Twitch token expired and I had to reconnect it. 🤔 It might falsely detecting you as inactive, but I'm not sure. I think you should submit a ticket for the Streamlabs techs to take a look

Use the dropdown on top of your scenes list and create a new scene collection and see how it behaves in the new one. Could also be that dependencies are missing after reformatting that causes it to use extra resources. When you minimize the game, it stops producing output; that's just the way Windows works. Don't minimize the game.

And I don't believe there is a way to clear out the list of recordings.

We don't have any integration with that platform. If they have an RTMP server and your channel has a stream key, you can add it as a Custom Destination or if you want to only stream to Jaco, you can stream there with the Stream to custom destination option.

Hello, I am having issues with addign Tik Tok to my multi-stream. I have Tik Tok merged to my account. I am also using a Mac computer as i do not have a PC. My tik tok account has the LIVe feature when I use my phone but not when i try on desktop as it is only a feature avaialble for "PC"
Streamlabs says i can stream to my tik tok account.

1. How do i get tik tok as a multistream to add to my stream?
2. it looks likethe link to my tik tok is different from the actual link how can i change that? It is using my display name as the link instead of my user name how can i fix that?

What I mean by this is the creator providing gameplay, camera and audio feed, with a remote producer in a different location managing overlays, as well as another gameplay window on the stream. In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Video > Output Resolution and swap the two values around.

Does anybody feel like the program has slown down lately? It's a bit hard to describe but it's like the program is in low framerate. The mixer after a while looks choppy instead of smooth and same goes for moving stuff around.

It doesn't have a negative effect on the stream but it's a bit annoying considering i use 144hz monitors and everything else is super smooth.

I do have quite a bit of scene collections where i deleted some. Maybe i should clear my cache? What ever that does.

Hi, I came into work last night to do a live stream, and all of my scenes were missing. After many dramas, as our business runs on live draws at specific times, we managed to build all new scenes in time to do the live draw. The draw went fine, all good. However, I have come in this morning, and the same thing has happened, all the scenes we created last night have gone, and we are back to square 1. I don't want to keep building them and they keep disappearing. Any help at all?

Same thing happened to me. Make sure to read over TikTok community guidelines closely. I got my 7 day ban because I was using a static image (starting soon screen) with music. Even though I was using copyright free music, I still got the ban because TikTok wants you to show your face immediately when streaming. I no longer use a starting soon screen because of this. Again, read the community guidelines on TikTok. Hope this helps!

- The purpose of this feature is to exclude DMCA/Copyright music from your VOD. To enable this feature, first verify you have version 1.1.0 or above, (you can verify your version in the top left of Streamlabs Desktop) if you do not have this version, head over to https://streamlabs.com and download a new installer. 

# To Configure: 
- Settings > Output > Enable "advanced encoder settings” (if in Simple Output Mode) > Enable “Twitch VOD Track (Uses Track 2)”. If you would like to utilize a different track you will need to be in Advanced output mode at the top of your Output settings. 

- Open Advanced Audio Options (settings wheel next to the Streamlabs Desktop mixer). 
- On the right hand side, see tracks 1 through 6 highlighted, if track 2 (default Twitch VOD Track) is highlighted for any audio sources, the audio will go through to the VOD. 
- If another VOD track is used, then that specific track will mute the audio going through to the Twitch VOD. 

Make sure to only use the Twitch VOD track for any audio that should go to the Twitch VOD. To exclude a source from the VOD, ensure the configured VOD track is not enabled.```

If you have another platform merged in your Streamlabs account, say Twitch for example, log out and log in the Streamlabs web site https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms with your Twitch then you can unmerge TikTok.

If TikTok is the only platform in your Streramlabs account, you can create a Streamlabs ID https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-set-up-your-streamlabs-id, log out and log in with your newly created Streamlabs ID then unmerge TikTok.

When I test donations in the browser window using the 'Preview' button, they work and read the TTS message. Hi there, I have an issue where I can't see my sources, yet they appear to still be working as normal. In my scenes they are visible under the "Stream Starting Soon" section, however every other scene I can't see them. I streamed a few hours ago and they were all there and fine. Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Hi there! I'm trying to go live on TikTok and I'm having trouble with outputs. See, I'd like my stream to have all sorts of things on it as seen in the screenshot provided with the colorful boarders and such, however, the stream comes out very squished and I can only get a somewhat acceptable result if I fit one window to the screen entirely. Is there a way I can fix this? The stream doesn't fit the entire screen when viewed on a phone, either, as seen in the screenshot.

If you're multistreaming, the stream is sent to Streamlabs and then onto the platforms you have merged in your Streamlabs account and enabled in the Confirm & Go Live window. Are you wanting to connect a different channel for one of the platforms in your Streamlabs account?

Add your TikTok as a Custom Destination.
