Don't skip the log out steps! To log out of the Streamlabs web site, click your PFP in the upper right corner of the web site and choose Log out. See the image below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.

👉 NOTE: **This will not go back and capture any events that were missed. Events are sent over the API once and if they aren't detected that event will never be sent again.

You'll need a new event (new follow on Twitch, new subscriber on YouTube, etc) as verification. I can follow on Twitch or subscribe on YouTube for verification if you like. An unfollow/refollow or unsubscribe/resubscribe won't trigger a new alert.**

👉 NOTE: The guide has sections for the 4 platforms we have full integration with, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Trovo. So only follow the section for the platform you're using.

Okay, PLEASE follow the steps below in the order shown. Don’t skip or rearrange the steps.

1. Go to the Streamlabs web site by clicking on this link: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/slIDSettingsPage.

2. Create your Streamlabs ID and once that is created, log out of the web site and log in with the new Streamlabs ID. THAT log out/log in is important! Don’t skip this log out/log in!!!

3. Go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms and unmerge your Twitch and then merge it back. Then log out of the Streamlabs web site.

4. You will need a never ever before followed you follow as a test. With that, again, you should see the alert in the preview window and them mini feed should update.

Yes, they’re enabled and not filtered out. When i do a test bits, it shows the variant that i’ve created. However when i use the dropdown menu on the same screen you’ve sent a screenshot of, it gives me a list of bits all named default (default 1, 100, 1000, 5000, and 10000) with the default sound and visual

Those are Alert Variations. Just click on each and configure them how you want. Be sure to click Save Settings at the very bottom of the page after you work on each one.

I just got back to streaming and for whatever reason I can't get follow alerts. I get raids and sub alerts, but I can't get new follower alerts no matter what I try. I've gone through the entire alerts/widget troubleshooting post and nothing seems to be working. This is not normal, it never used to happen at all unless you actually had a problem or a hiccup. It would always correct itself and return to an accurate representation of the auido for each source.

Make sure your bitrate is not exceeding 6000 which is the maximum Twitch will accept if you’re not a Twitch Partner.

I have heard some folks have difficulty using multiple cameras of the same make and model.

I would like to use 4 of the same make and model webcams at the same time. I will be utilizing a special usb 3.0 pcie card for this purpose, so exceeding bandwidth shouldn't be a problem.

I "heard" that if there are issues, a user can change the registry of each camera/usb input so Streamlabs recognizes each webcam as a separate device.

Has anyone heard of this working or have any experience with this?

For Cloudbot, it doesn’t matter what live streaming software you use. For YouTube, you have to be live with a Public stream since YouTube Chat isn’t available when you’re offline. Cloudbot works just fine on Twitch even if you’re offline e since Twitch Chat is always available.

Hello I have an important question regarding the resub alert on Twitch. I noticed that when someone resubscribes to me (for example the second month) he always has to go to share in the chat so that the message appears in my stream. The first time they subscribe it is always displayed.

Is this normal on Twitch? Do you always have to press share as a viewer for it to be displayed or can you set it so that it is always displayed?

If you're using Game Capture, you might have to use Window Capture for that game. Some games can't be captured with Game Capture.

I'd perform a clean install of your GPU drivers and make sure that you have nothing else running while you're streaming except for those applications needed for the stream.

What game? For example, Roblox added an anti-cheat feature that completely breaks the ability for Game Capture to hook into the game. For Roblox, you have to use Window Capture.

Sounds like you're using Dual Output? With Dual Output, you can use it for free as long as one of the destinations is TikTok. If you're trying to use Dual Output with Twitch and Kick, that won't work, sorry.

For the cookies issue: Theres a few possible solutions for this that should help resolve the issue

1. Log out of Streamlabs Desktop and go to Twitch.tv and go to your channel and open up the chat. There should be a cookies acceptance there and accept then log back into Streamlabs Desktop. If there isn't then go ahead and log back into Streamlabs Desktop and check once more.

2. Open up the chat on Streamlabs Desktop with the little arrow top right or left then see if the acceptance for cookies is there and accept

3. Create a website element by going to Streamlabs Desktop > bottom left > hit the 4 squares > replace one of your current components with "website element" then type in Twitch.tv/(usernamehere) > save changes top right and go to your channel to accept cookies. If you have a Streamlabs ID for the Streamlabs account where you want to unlink your Twitch account, log in using that Streamlabs ID and then you should be able to unmerge the Twitch.

THEN

Log out and log in to the other Streamlabs account (hopefully there is a different Streamlabs ID for that account or you have another platform like YouTube or Facebook in that other account).

Create your event directly in Streamlabs Desktop. It will create the event for you based on your input. Click the Show Advanced Settings at the bottom of the Confirm & Go Live window to tweak additional settings.

Yes, set it to the same device you use in Windows. If that device is speakers though, that could cause echoes as the microphone might bpick up that audio. Strong suggest using headphones (not bluetooth headphones) instead.

Set the Desktop Audio device to the same device you use in Windows. Give it a test and see how it goes. Issue could also be with the connection from the capture card. I don't have a capture card setup so I can't troubleshoot those effectively.

Hi! I have a very anoying trouble. When I start stream my keyboard begin "stick" inputs if I hold buttons for a few seconds. For example in FPS I press W for 3 seconds, release button, but input continues for a few seconds and no other input are registring before this "lag" stops. Even worse, it begin queue input during the lag and if I press something during it it will play this input queue. If I use any other input device - all grate, I try 3 other keyboards, no shot. CPU and memory in cosy 30% range during streams. Sorry, but english not my first language and if needed I can clarify details.

My streamlabs are almost clear install only with camera, game and chat widget from streamlabs itself. problem can be replicated in OBS as well.

The only thing I found about this problem was related to obs an linux. Start obs without glib.

Hi there! I'm coming from the streamlabs reddit, which directed me here for tech issues. for the past three streams in a row now, my streamlabs has crashed mid stream. I wish I had screen caps of the messages that come up when it crashes, but i've been live so im kinda in a panic haha. Three streams in a row now from 30 mins to an hour in, streamlabs crashes. I have not changed anything with my set up from before this started till now. I have to end my stream and completely restart everything in order for it to work again.

It does keep my stream going, the pop up saying something like "critical error, your stream/recording is still going in the background, click yes to end the stream or no to keep streaming in the background. Clicking yes will end your stream and close streamlabs" If I click no another pop up comes up that says something like "your stream/recording is still going in the background, click okay on this window to end you stream/recording"
If I re open my streamlabs window with that little box still open, it will open and it will show my live chat, but it says I'm offline and not live.

I have no idea what changed with my slobs from last friday to this monday. I know haha "just use OBS" but I've tried to use OBS and when I did, not a single thing that I had set up worked through OBS so I'm a little hesitant to try to use it again on stream.

I been trying to find things for a while now, and nothing. Streamlabs mixer doesn't flow smoothly for voice. It is all choppy and hard to tell if your voice is smooth or not. There none filter on at all, but it like jumps places then run smoothly.

I do a small test and all good but some time it never pikes on the mixer but the sound, you can hear the parts it chops off when your voice piks over a certain point. But the mixer is all over the place.

So is there a way to fix this or do I need a different stand alone mixer while I recorded and not belive what Streamlabs says??

@shrewd barn the majority of webcam models have no such issues, the main concern here is whether you have enough usb bandwidth, which can be resolved by buying more usb root hubs (not to be confused with usb hubs), or by reducing your usb bandwidth usage by requesting lower resolutions and/or frame rates and/or more compressed pixel formats (all of which would reduce quality, of course); there are a few specific camera models that do have issues with this, but i forgot the exact models

Here's what I would you like to do. It will seem complicated, but you'll thank me later:

1. Create a new Scene called Webcam Setup
2. In that scene, add a new source, of type Video Capture Device
3. Then in that Device, select your Webcam
4. Then whatever Scene you need your webcam in, add a new source, of type Scene, and select the Webcam Setup Scene as the Scene to be used. That will make it so you can make changes to your webcam in a single place that easily makes changes to it in all places

Now, on to your specific issue. NEVER connect a Webcam to a USB Hub, you will inevitably have issues. Webcams MUST ALWAYS be connected directly to the PC if you don't want problems

yes. Also the same if you have a USB Microphone. AUDIO/VIDEO DEVICES should always be connected directly to the PC, or else bad things will happen

Also, make sure that if your camera comes with a cable that can be disconnected from the camera, that you use the ORIGNAL CABLE. For example, if you have a Logitech Brio, you want to use the original cable, or, if you get a replacement cable, make sure it's not some cheap trash from Amazon. Get a good cable that specifically says it can handle full usb3 bandwidth (or whatever the camera runs on), or else bad things will happen

Now, you also mentioned your elgato is black... is the elgato connected to the USB Hub? If so, that's probably your problem, connect it directly to the PC

if you're trying to troubleshoot a problem, start by removing as many variables as possible. so in this case:

1. Try to resolve one device at a time, so for example, disconnect the elgato device and the camera and every other device you're using in Streamlabs.
2. Remove the USB HUB to ensure that it isn't the issue, so connect a single device, like the camera, directly to the PC
3. Make sure that no additional software is trying to use the camera. Cameras are used exclusively by software, so if you have something like the logitech app or nvidia brodacast using the camera, it will not work in stremlabs

I think it's highly unlikely that it's the cause for the issue, though I would say that if your license is expired, then you're probably better off uninstalling it (for security reasons, since I assume you will no longer get updated virus definitions) and just use Windows Defender (assuming you're in windows 10/11) instead

The reason I'm asking is because you will want to make sure that none of them are currently using the camera, as that would cause streamlabs to be unable to use it concurrently

The simplest way to do this, is to make sure that none of them are running while you'tr troubleshooting

Hi, I have an issue with my Streamlabs. For some reason, when downloading the latest update, the software chose to download the update in the HD with less space, and when I tried to do in the other storage of my computer, I was asked to download from the website to get the latest version. But now that I downloaded the installer, it gives this error of " Error to record file... " and I'm unable to reinstall the software. Not only that, but the installer deleted the files from the old Streamlabs, which probably had my setup for livestreams. Now I can't stream until this issue is solved. Hello everyone,

I wouldn't be reaching out if I hadn't explored and tried all possible options. I need help with two things: I do live streams in a Facebook Group (not gaming, but specifically box break products on live stream) and I use Stream Labs as my streaming tool.

Firstly, I can't get the comments from the Facebook live stream to display on the right side in Stream Labs, even though I can see them in Facebook's Live Dashboard. Secondly, I can't seem to get the alert widget to show on the screen when someone "Likes" my stream/post. I've set it up, and it works when I test it, but not when someone actually likes it.

Is there any support for Facebook at all, or is it just not possible?

Lately I've been experiencing computer crashes, but only while using Streamlabs. The games I've been streaming are not demanding... Oldschool Runescape, Among Us, Lethal Company... and yet when these errors occur it either freezes the computer, or restarts to an "overclocking failed" error. I don't really have overclocking settings on other than the RAM's XMP profile, and again I dont' think streaming OSRS or the other games really would put it up to a point where it'd be an issue anyway.

Still seeking a response for my issue with my Volume level bars in my Audio Mixer being EXTREMELY laggy on PC.

Not sure what to do about it. It used to run flawlessy, but since a recent update it has just not been smooth at all and constantly lags. Audio output to stream is normal, but the bars showing volume levels are very laggy.

this is by design, streamlabs uses IPC to update the meters and that's very expensive, so they reduced the update rate , presumably to reduce cpu usage

Perhaps this is a long shot. I had been streaming pc only and had my whole setup that way through streamlabs and my capture card of course. Streamlabs Console only works with Twitch. Streamlabs Console isn’t capable of multistreaming.

Still seeking a response for my issue with my Volume level bars in my Audio Mixer being EXTREMELY laggy on PC.

Not sure what to do about it. It used to run flawlessy, but since a recent update it has just not been smooth at all and constantly lags. Audio output to stream is normal, but the bars showing volume levels are very laggy.

If this is a known issue I would love to know if there is a fix in the works.

There is currently a report regarding lagging audio mixer/higher CPU usage in Streamlabs Desktop. For some reason my alert box doesn't work when someone subscribes to my yt channel, but on twitch whenever someone follows, it does work? Is there any solution on how the alert box can work for youtube?

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

When you test alerts, it won't test any alert variation.

If you want to test the alert variation for Bits, select that one then click Preview.

No audio output on MacOS. When going to settings > audio > desktop audio device, only option is disabled. My headset is the Logitech G432, and it's visible as a microphone in streamlabs and as an audio capture device. The headset is connected into USB through a cable extension, since that's what my headphones came with. They work in all other software. Something worth mentioning is that my second monitor also has built-in speakers that also don't seem to be detected. Streamlabs has (or should) have all permissions.

Streamlabs i don't think is generating an API for all of the chats but rather compiling what they're getting from other chats.

I'm not 100% sure how you're doing this at all, but i know you can get a browser source of their multistream chat embed that they use in streamlabs desktop (not the chatbox widget that you add to your overlay)

I'd make sure that the path your specifed to store the recording exists and that you can write to it. Also make sure that the disk that path exists on has sufficient free space. Also double check Settings > Advanced > Recording and make sure nothing there has been changed.

Me as a moderator, want to Set the multi link by typing !setmulti targetname and with that link it edits the !multi command so if viewers type !multi they see the updated link

@still vector for good measure, please go through once more with the troubleshooting steps for reconnecting your Twitch account to Streamlabs, then you can also try resetting your API token:

• Remove all Streamlabs Widgets from your streaming software
• Go into your API Settings > API Tokens Tab: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/api-settings
• Click Refresh (and confirm the popup)

Then in Streamlabs Desktop

• Log out & close the program
• Run as administrator & log back in

Other Software

• Re-add your new widget links
• Run a Test Alert

Screen capture shows everything on a screen. It should show Discord when you pull it up

I may have read you in reverse, if that's the case try minimizing Discord. If that doesn't work there is a setting to "minimize to tray" when closing Discrd. Try hiding Discord with that feature
