In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Output > Recording and set the encoder to Same as streaming encoder. Then go to Settings > Output > Streaming and open the drop down menu for Encoder and screen shot all the options displayed there.

I have been signing in with twitch on both the slobs website and desktop app, So I setup my streamlabs ID with my email finally (2 mins ago) which allowed me to unmerge my twitch. I tried signing in with twitch on the desktop app again after unmerging and it now lets me to go live.

Seemed to be an account bug of some sorts.

Months of issues over something so simple that I should've done from the beginning.

My stream lab software used to be at 10% CPU usage maximum while not streaming live, just being navigating in the software offline. (no others app open)

Suddenly, since several days, (with no other app open), and still being offline, it raise at 25%+ CPU usage, do you know why ?

Hey there, there’s nothing native in Streamlabs Desktop to do that. You’ll have to find a third party program to do that or make you own “starting soon” video that has a timer it.

Hi guys. I have a nightmare today with Streamlabs. First it wouldnt let me stream to twitch through restream (always usually works) So, i paid the £20 per month for "Ultra" but my viewers have said the stream has stuttuered no matter how many changes I have made.. Im not even playing a game and it is dropping frames every min... ive reset all the settings to default too and still no joy. I have a RTX 4080 Alienware PC, so this is not issue eithe

You can use that to make an intro but I don’t know right off hand that it has the capability to include an in screen timer.

Hey @gritty isle do you know why my recordings will never end, any time i click stop recording it infinitely records still. I have to close the app to get the mp4 file but its in 1-5 fps and extremely low quality

Ive tried restarting pc then reinstalling(not letting it auto open) restarting again like u told me a few days ago but this has been a temporary fix… ive also tried running it as admin and clearing cache

All would have fixed it for about a 5-10 segment then would bug out again

Quit Streamlabs Desktop and reboot your PC. Once it back up, download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer and run the installer as administrator and let in install over your existing installation. No need to uninstall first. At the end of the installer, don’t let it launch Streamlabs Desktop but rather quit the installer and reboot your PC again. Once it’s back up, launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and test again.

is there anyway to remove/delete my stripe account I used to sign up for credit card donations? There are no options on the Streamlabs powered by Stripe page and if I trying logging into on Stripe's website it says "invalid link". I'm still having this bugged issue with credit card donations.

That’s dependent on the Loyalty system for the bot you are using, either Streamlabs Chatbot or Streamlabs Cloudbot. Have you enabled and configured the Loyalty system?

They Loyalty system records each user and how long they watch your streams. The watchtime command uses that data to display back to them. If you don’t configure the loyalty system, it won’t be able to record this data.

Make sure the correct audio devices are selected in Streamlabs Desktop at Settings > Audio or in the specific audio capture sources if you’re splitting your audio. Windows cumulative updates will break audio settings as it causes devices to be be renumbered.

Audio will only be handled by your CPU. The GPU is just for graphics. Screen shot Settings > Audio please.

4000 is too low for 1080p. I’d suggest changing your Output Resolution to 1280x720 and if you have sufficient upload bandwidth, then increase the bitrate to 6000.

You’re welcome. There’s not an ETA on getting this fixed. This issue in particular is likely requiring the developers to look through the code to find the problem and then code a fix and test it. Unfortunately that can be a time consuming and slow process. Apologies that is taking a while to get resolved.

Is there a way to fully eliminate keyboard clicking? I see a lot of streamers not have any keyboard clicking at all, mainly while they're talking. I got a maono pd400x that has a cardioid polar pattern so I shouldn't be getting much clicking when I talk (and it's definitely reduced) but it's still there. CORRECTION. It launched a single time. Seemed to be working fine but anytime I went live my ping went to like 2000. This may be unrelated but then when I closed it to reopen it it wont open.

If anyone finds a working solution that would be great. I am currently unable to stream.

Thank you Rufus - I've seen that guide. It didn't really help me very much. Specifically every time I try to start a youtube live - I get an error that my youtube account is not set up for streaming - for the life of me I think it is. This whole thing is just two or three steps above my ability to make sense of it.

I am using a Elgato HD60s connected to a PS5, All connections are working fine ( tested through multiple other programs )

When Using SLOBS It is detecting the audio and outputting it to the stream/ recording but does not allow me to monitoring so that I can route the audio through my PC. I have ensured that the settings all align through SLOBS and have ensured that I have disabled HDCP.

Additional info: this was previously used for an Xbox and although my base Elgato software has been changed to now be through a PS5 when I click on configure video it opens a little box for a half second and then it closes. for the brief second the box opens I can see its still set to Xb.

As an extra note it appears that the audio monitoring doesnt work for anything including my Mic when tested

Hey! I am sure this has been asked many many times (given I saw lots of people on Reddit talking about it). When I try to add my webcam to Streamlabs it opens the "settings for video capture device" menu (which is just a loading circle) and the whole program freezes and I am unable to click anything and I need to force quit. I haven't streamed in ages and it used to work fine, but now nothing. I tried clearing cache, uninstalling drivers for my webcam and display drivers and updated them, I also tried to rollback to older drivers for both (no luck), on top of that I am done a fresh install of Streamlabs, also no luck.

I've tried creating a multi action on my streamdeck to close down streamlabs desktop and swap to the main/starting screen profile. For the closing action I ticked the 'Force quit' box. But when I test is it does go back to the main profile but pops up this error message. Am I doing something wrong?

If you're using MP4 then there won't be a way to recover it. If you're editing software is capable of handling MKV files, I'd switch to that. MP4 only 'closes' the file when the recording is stopped. MKV will update the file periodically so that if the recording is interrupted, you don't lose the whole recording.

Hello I keep asking about this issue and havent seemed to get a response. Does anyone know anything about stream labs refusing to launch but having 3 processes open in the task manager? Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the platform will resolve this.

Don't skip the log out steps! To log out of the Streamlabs web site, click your PFP in the upper right corner of the web site and choose Log out. See the image below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.

I am having slight problems with the Event selection for livestreaming. Back then, whenever I prepared the title, thumbnail, tags etc via YouTube, I was able to select it on streamlabs easily. Remember the GPU also has to handle the game as well. If you feel that usage is too high, reduce the resolution you run the game with and use the same resolution in Streamlabs Desktop.

You should also set the monitor's refresh rate, the in game FPS and the FPS in Streamlabs Desktop of a multiple of 60: 60, 120, or 180. Uncapped in game FPS or a monitor refresh rate that's not a multiple of 60 can cause issues.

Are you logged in with your TikTok? That should force the Output Resolution into the vertical size.

yes, i'm logged into tiktok. But, the default resolution is 1920x1080. When I change to custom resolution 1080x1920 for custom base resolution and output resolution, i'm not able to resize the sources. I'm only able to resize the sources if the i'm enable dual format.

I was responding to someone else. For your issue you might want to try using Twitch inspector: https://inspector.twitch.tv/ and see if you are actually getting the bitrate you transmitted. You might get 1G from your ISP, but your ISP might not be providing it on the connection to Twitch

Hello, having some display issues. On Streamlabs desktop, my capture is showing horizontal and proper. checked my source and it is reading the correct screen. Once I go live on Twitch it makes my stream vertical. Pictures below to show what I mean, I've already changed my "Screen Capture" to ensure it's picking up the right screen. Hello! I need some help with some audio issues I'm experiencing. I recently had my SSD go bad and had to reinstall everything on my PC. Streamlabs kept my scenes which was nice but I'm having an issue with Alerts specifically. I actually deleted all of my scenes and am starting fresh and cleaning up streamlining my sources. When an alert notification goes off it is echoing. I use the GoXLR mini but the echo is happening even when I do not have that source added to the scene. I just can't seem to find what is causing the echo and it's not on all audio sources. Any thoughts?

Hi there! Without checking too far into it, it sounds like you might be using too high of a bitrate. Can you check to see if you're using a bitrate of 6,000 or lower in your Streamlabs Desktop Settings > Output? 6,000 is Twitch's maximum so you should have better luck with that!

Hello guys I hope you are doing ok. I been having a problem since May 6 that I been trying to solve and haven't been able to stream since then. When I open streamlabs my menu of game capture, display capture and everything is not appearing. If I press test widgets the sounds are their and in the right of the screen you can see that there is a lot of words in a bunch, probably were everything is. I am not able to open the arrow to the right is stuck. When I try to add a webcam it freezes and gets stuck on "Setting for Video Capture Device" and I need to force quit. Any ideas?

Please try this:

Delete that video capture source from each scenes where it’s used and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
Go to Windows Device Manager, locate the Camera device, right click on it, and choose Uninstall device.
Unplug the camera from your system and reboot the PC.
Once the PC is back up, plug in the camera and let Windows detect it and set it up.
Launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and then add the Video Capture Device source back.

If you still have issues, try these steps again but move the camera to a different USB port. Don’t use a USB Hub.

alright, I tried all of it. Still no luck. Still forever loads when I go in to add the Video Capture Device source. It's strange cause the webcam works fine in all other software, just not OBS or Streamlabs

As far as I'm aware, most settings cannot be adjusted from Streamlabs' end for TikTok. I'll check into this for you and will be right back.

@wary summit It looks like the category cannot currently be adjusted on the Streamlabs' side for TikTok at the moment. I'm very sorry about that as I do wish I had a better answer for you! We hope that the option to change the tags/category will be implemented in the future, but we don't have an exact ETA at this time.

Magically my alerts starting working again. This was after spending a few weeks messing with the settings. I've not done recent other than another log off / log in and restart of SLOBS. I will say though this alert issue frequently happens. I wouldn't be surprised if I run into this issue later on.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Hello. Is it possible for an external program (e.g. Mix It Up) to specify ONLY the horizontal or vertical instance of a source? Like, is there a unique identifier that is constructed within Streamlabs OBS to differentiate the horizontal scene/source from the vertical scene/source?

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service.

You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Its all the extra characters in the URL that are the problem there. You won't be able to use that exact link. You can try taking off everything including and after the question mark and see if that works. If it doesn't, you'll have to download the webm file and upload to your Streamlabs Media Gallery and select it there.

I recently changed my username on twitch, but on the streamlabs donate link the old username stands. How can I fix that? I've tried to unmerge and merge the twitch account.

You have to log out from the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP in the upper right corner and choose Log out.
You have to log out of Streamlabs Desktop. See below for how to do that. Then clear the cache in your web browser and quit the web browser. Then restart Streamlabs Desktop and log in with your new Twitch name. That will update the back end systems with your new Twitch name. Any other steps other than those above won’t work. And if you don’t perform one of the log outs about, it won’t work. You have to log out of both.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

The setting on your channel doesn't matter.

The setting matters for the person viewing your stream. BEFORE they subscribe, the viewer would have to go and set their subscriptions to be public.

Hi guys, i have a weird issue with Stinger (Track Matte) Transition between scenes. I can't find any solution.

So i'm using a Track Matte to transition from scene A to scene B, but i can notice weird 1-2 frames glitch at the begining of the transition. The worst part is that it doesn't always happen (but in most of the cases)

It didnt happen on frist scene change but happened on every of the next changes i tried

Also just checked in OBS and it works just fine so it's not Matte issue

Have you configured and added the Alert Box Widget to your scene when you want alerts to appear? And also make sure that the Alert Box Widget is at the top of the Source list.

@bronze minnow Also make sure that the Stars alert is enabled. https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox/facebook/stars and that Custom HTML/CSS is disabled. And if you have any Alert Variations for Stars that show as Unknown, delete those specific variations.

So last night I tried to go live to Facebook like I do every day for almost 3 years now and I got a message saying couldn't find stream key or page log and and log back in. I did that and when I clicked go live it gave me another error saying to change my encoder settings and so I did and I am still getting the error for encoder settings. There's nothing left to change and I've done about every combination of encoder settings that exist for me. I can't go live and I'd like to know if anyone has a fix

You have a couple of options for that... Dual Output allows you to stream to 2 destinations without Ultra, but the caveat there is one stream has to be horizontal, and the other stream has to be vertical.

The other exception to this is with our new TikTok integration, you can go live to TikTok + one additional destination without the need for Ultra. But you're saying it won't let you do this while logged in with TikTok + trying to enable Twitch, too? 🤔
