For some reason the box to adjust the size of the source doesn't match the source itself.. anyone know what's going on here? It was working fine just the other day, and now its like this with no changes. Every time I try to delete/add a new source it shows up like this now.

Not sure when the update took place, but there have been several issues when people auto-updated. You may have to readjust your source window or layout again, i forget where... (also awesome fellow FFXIV DRG we are best floor tanks jk.. replacement tanks)

I'm just replying to your issue because I'm new to Streamlabs and having this exact same issue.

I'm using my Macbook and tried deleting the stream labels and re-adding them but it didn't work. The stram labels don't even appear even though they've been brought to the front.

I got one window to appear but it's not showing text and is super skinny, as you mentioned.

I thought it'd be worth replying to you for visiblity since we're both having this issue but I don't think anyone's gotten back to you.

Haiii I figured it out. It won’t show me a preview but if I make the font big and set a custom width to like 300, it gives me something to work with. Any width under 100 makes it disappear.

I wasn’t able to find a tutorial on reinstalling streamlabels for Mac.

I ended up recreating all the labels and deleting the ones that came in this Streamlabs theme package.

It suggested for me to sign out of Stream labs and then back in so I did so and now it’s just all black and I don’t know how to get all my scenes back that I had before before as they were customized and they are not on this PC they were on my old laptop

since yesterday my Twitch-VOD function with the Application Audio Capture (Beta) doesnt work anymore.
With that I mean that i can set up the function but when i Stream then there is no soundbar to implicate the decible under the name on the mixer area.
The same happens for Spotify. Every program I dont have off in Twitch VOD is working perfectly. I hope that was understandable, im from Germany and my english isnt so good. Maybe someone has a similar problem and fixed it already so he/she can help me.

I'm not sure if this solution is necessarily for me. Before 1.16.1 my NDI audio worked fine. After the update my audio is gone but my video still works. My viewers can see what I'm doing but not hear. The audio option is completely gone as well. I've updated to the latest NDI tools as well and no luck. This is completely Stream labs. Note I've also changed the Sync option for NDI to Source and to Network but both didn't fix the issue. Picture included on what I mean by my audio is gone/not working. ("Paladins" Audio is no longer there.)

Before coming here to find solutions I've went to Streamlabs reddit to post, and I'm not the only one having this issue.

Also note, 1.16.2 did not fix the issue either.

Yes, and there is no "Device" section for NDI Audio, due to it just being there to send Video and Audio via wifi from one pc to another.

The “looking for game” placeholder change is planned to be reversed. A work around is to go into the properties for Game Capture, switch the Mode to Auto then set a placeholder image. And then if necessary, switch the Mode back to what it was; the custom placeholder image should stay in place.

Anyone having problems with reply buffer when streaming ? It will just go into an endless loop and won’t let me save any clips but the record function works. It happens like 75 percent of the time I live stream, only fix is to restart Streamlabs but you will only know if it’s working after you go live so you will need to end your live stream to restart Streamlabs to fix it.

Sounds like a Windows Cumulative update changed the device ID’s. NGO back in and manually select the appropriate devices where you see them as a long string of characters. Windows Update causes this.

Reposting this in hopes of some help - Hey there. Having an issue with a scene transition stinger and audio that plays in both scenes. The issue is that there is an overlap where the audio playing from scene 1 leaks into scene 2 after the transition has finished. Any solutions?
Ive tried different transitions point times and types but I cant seem to get a solution. Ive also tried the audio fade style too.
Im trying to get the audio from scene 1 to stop as the stinger begins and the audio from scene 2 to start once it ends.

The 1.16.x version is rolling out. You could try download a fresh installer and run the installer as administrator and let it install over your existing installation. But still I would monitor your disk I/O with Task Manager and see if it’s getting I/O bound.

You know what I did change recently was my bitrate to a higher amount. I stop streaming to switch which bound me to 6k bitrate so I bump it up to 12,000k bitrate. I don’t know if this plays a part of this. All my game captures are now showing on top of each other, even when one of them is live, it shows all the other ones that aren't live on top? I set up an individual game capture for each game, for specific window targeted capture. Now it just shows dead captures on top of actual live games?

Multiple Game Capture sources in a single scene aren’t recommended. I understand the reasoning behind your decision. I would at least hide the game capture sources you aren’t using by clicking the eyeball icon. That might help you out.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Let’s clear the OBS browser cache. Here are those browser cache clear steps:

1. Close Streamlabs Desktop
2. Hit windows key + R
3. Paste this and hit enter %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser
4. Delete the cache folder
5. Start up Streamlabs Desktop again

This just acts the same as if you were to clear your browser cache- no settings will be lost

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.

I'm having two very different problems, maybe you guys can help me with at least one of them??

PC specs: rtx 4090/32gb ddr5 ram/intel i9 13900k/8tb ssd storage

Problem 1: Whenever i stream battlefield, no matter whether it is through streamlabs obs, or through discord, the audio cuts out terribly and the screen glitches a bit UNLESS i am in a game. Any of the menus, or after death/respawn screen is terrible. However, if i alt+tab out to another program, it is fixed. The game is running on the screen because that's whats being captured, yet my voice is fine, and the video is fine.

Fixes i've tried: i've messed around with the video and audio settings quite a lot, and can't seem to get any noticeable difference. I've unplugged all my peripherals. I've rebooted, tried running as admin, and checked for all possible updates. I've also added a universal audio driver (needed it for another program anyway, but reverting back to old driver did not have an effect)

problem 2: keyboard and mouse stop working intermittently. My character just stops and doesn't move. I can alt+tab out effectively, and the mouse and keyboard work outside of the game, but not while in it. eventually i regain control and can play again.

Fixes: i think i have this one licked, the peripherals were gumming up the works, needs more testing, but i unplugged my usb cable that i use to charge my headphones, and that seemed to fix it. or at least, it hasn't happened in the last couple rounds.

Only reason i'm asking for help HERE is because these problems only occur while i'm streaming the game. playing alone, not one single problem. As soon as i start streaming, these things pop up.

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop
4. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox. (Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/48ZdLCQCgi8D)
5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Weird. Quit Streamlabs Desktop. Go to the Streamlabs web site and download a fresh installer. Then run the installer as administrator and let it install over your existing installation. You don’t need to uninstall first. At the end of the installer, don’t let it launch Streamlabs Desktop but rather quit the installer, reboot your PC, and then see how it goes and once the PC is back up.

The “looking for game” placeholder change is planned to be reversed. A work around is to go into the properties for Game Capture, switch the Mode to Auto then set a placeholder image. And then if necessary, switch the Mode back to what it was; the custom placeholder image should stay in place.

You need to run the test on ingests in your region, for you it looks like the US. And use Medium or Long Duration. Short Duration will govern misleading results.

Do you have a 720x1280 or 1080x1920 resolution in your vertical output in your Video settings?
You might be using 1920x1080 for example so the preview looks correct but the output isn't

As far as I can tell to manage the dual output control you have to go live on a horizontal and verticle platform. So I'm constantly going live on both and checking to see if changes I've made has affected the tiktok quality. It hasn't so far.

Maybe dual output isn't registering, did you try disabling it, going live for a few seconds. (so it registers its horizontal only) Then enable dual output again and try going live again?

Did you enable the Control audio via OBS option in the Alert Box?

Go to the Advanced Audio Properties for the Alert Box and make sure the audio monitoring is set to Monitor & Output. If that’s set then change the Audio Monitoring Device to anything else, save the settings, and then go back and change it to the correct device.

Hey @everyone, brand new streamer here... so I am hoping this will be a really easy fix.
I am trying to set up a scene in Streamlabs where I can share my display and watch things online on stream. I have set up my display source just fine. But I can't get any audio to play. I have tried to set up an audio output capture, but the problem is, streamlabs isn't recognizing any of my audio outputs ie my desktop speakers, macbook pro speakers. It's just giving me two options - 'default' and 'microsoft teams audio'.

Please follow these steps to install the program as administrator making sure it has the permissions to update files properly. You do not need to uninstall the program first.

1. Restart your PC so no ghost processes are running in the background
2. Grab the latest installer from https://streamlabs.com/
3. Right-click the installer after download
4. Select "Run as administrator"
5. Follow the steps in the install wizard

Rufus actually I’ve got a few more questions for you. I don’t know if this is a Streamlabs issue or a hardware issue on my end. I have been using Bluetooth headphones as monitors when I’m producing this remote livestream and occasionally i will lose audio on my end and then I have to reboot Streamlabs and it causes issues while hosting the program. Do you have any tips to get as little input lag as possible while running Streamlabs? I’ve got a beefy enough PC but I will encounter input lag from my mouse, keyboard, and headphones when ever I start remotely hosting these guys

Sounds good, do keep in mind that if this doesn't work I would recommend switching to a wired headset. Bluetooth functionality with Streamlabs Desktop and any streaming software can break easily.

so with the Streamlabs tipping system a streamer i moderate for with 100+ people watching at any given moment

have groups of people sending hate with tts with several different accounts directly planning on charging back the tip even though we do auto refund to avoid this

the problem is the streamer has to go in and stop the messages whilst they are streaming
most of the time getting 3-4 words through and the whole message itself getting displayed.

what i'm looking for is a way for a moderator to deny or approve a tts message before it goes through live on stream.

does stream labs have this functionality for non media-share based tipping
i have not found much information about it with the research ive done

Hey Rufus, I tried to get support in here yesterday with no response I can see you’re busy but when you get a chance to help me understand why I cannot stream in my discord on three different accounts three different computers having the same problem. Streaming YouTube works just fine, but not through discord when typically it’s only two clicks. One and stream lab settings virtual cam on second setting in Discord your cam button. Make sure it’s picking up stream labs. It’s doing both but the wheels keep spinning. Please help if you could and I have been waiting two days for somebody to respond to the ticket..

So I've been at this for hours. Followed all troubleshooting from Streamlabs website.
OBS will display widgets but not alerts for anything. Followers, subs, etc. But things like tip jar, follow goal, all work fine.
When I launch and test the alerts in a browser they work fine. But OBS is unresponsive.

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the platform will resolve this.

Don't skip the log out steps! To log out of the Streamlabs web site, click your PFP in the upper right corner of the web site and choose Log out. See the image below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.

👉 NOTE: **This will not go back and capture any events that were missed. Events are sent over the API once and if they aren't detected that event will never be sent again.

You'll need a new event (new follow on Twitch, new subscriber on YouTube, etc) as verification. I can follow on Twitch or subscribe on YouTube for verification if you like. An unfollow/refollow or unsubscribe/resubscribe won't trigger a new alert.**

I can't find much information on that device, sorry. If it says it will work with OBS Studio, it should work with Streamlabs Desktop.

Okay, PLEASE follow the steps below in the order shown. Don’t skip or rearrange the steps.

1. Go to the Streamlabs web site by clicking on this link: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/slIDSettingsPage.

2. Create your Streamlabs ID and once that is created, log out of the web site and log in with the new Streamlabs ID. THAT log out/log in is important! Don’t skip this log out/log in!!!

3. Go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms and unmerge your Twitch and then merge it back. Then log out of the Streamlabs web site.

4. You will need a never ever before followed you follow as a test. With that, again, you should see the alert in the preview window and them mini feed should update.

Ah, Kick. They have even more restrictive requirements. Best you can to is 720p60 at a bitrate of 3500. Kick won't accept any higher bitrate.

1080p requires more bitrate than 6000 which is the limit on Twitch if you're not a Partner. The viewers will have have a better experience with 720p60 at 6000, especially those on mobile devices.

Hey guys! I know Streamlabs has recently collaborated with TikTok - so I applied to get live access through streamlabs and was approved. However, when I attempt to go live it asked for a stream key and cannot find mine. When I click "Locate my stream key" it takes me to the TikTok live center with no option to obtain one.

Can anyone help with this?
