I'm not sure I'm conveying my problem well, the game is 4:3 and when streamlabs captures it, it becomes 16:9. I can add a filter to force it to be 4:3 but I didn't have to do this before, normally it captured the game exactly the way it was.

Let’s clear the OBS browser cache next.

1. Close Streamlabs Desktop
2. Hit windows key + R
3. Paste this and hit enter %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser
4. Delete the cache folder
5. Start up Streamlabs Desktop again

This just acts the same as if you were to clear your browser cache- no settings will be lost

Let’s refresh the connection between Streamlabs and Facebook:

-First, log out of Streamlabs.com and all Streamlabs software that you may be using. This would be things such as Streamlabs Desktop or our Stream Label program.
-While still logged out of all areas, go to your Facebook settings. https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools
-Click "View and Edit" on the Streamlabs connection.
-Click "Remove Business Integration"

Are there currently any issues with multistreaming just not going live atm through Slobs? I can stream to one platform (it asks if I want to go live) if I use a custom ingest, but as soon as I use the multistreaming it gets stuck on loading. I already logged out of everything and deleted the cache, but it's the same. It doesn't go to the screen where you can select which platforms to go live on and put in titles/ games etc. (I used the search function but couldn't find anything)

That’s probably due to the Account Privacy option on YouTube.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

hey there ,I seem to be having an issue thats pretty odd, I can stream natively to youtube but make use of HEVC using custom ingest, i've streamed like this plenty before, today I changed IP, everything works as it should in the native side but the HEVC side keeps giving me this error . Seeing as the native youtube side is fairly rubbish in terms of quality and i'd like to continue using HEVC does anyone have a clue as to what is going on here? everything else works, I've even pinged the upload.youtube.com server with success.

In Streamlabs Desktop, please go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP. If the drop down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default. If the drop down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10. After that, click Done to save the settings and then see if you can go live.

You have it set to your specific IP? If so, then change it back to Default and see if that helps or not.

Essentially I have tried everything short of a fresh win 11 install which is definitely overkill, the IP change that happened was on ISP side so Public IPV4 and IPV6

I did and I did set it back to default and that seems to do nothing, native youtube streaming works on both but the HEVC with custom ingest doesn't on either.

I work in tech support myself and didnt want to bother anyone here so this felt a bit last resortish.

I did uninstall and reinstall streamlabs too, I also made sure vcredist was reinstalled etc.

Yeah, something weird is definitely going on. Sadly I’m at work and can’t install Streamlabs Desktop on my work system. When you tried use the stream to custom ingest, was there a choice of an RTMP URL or a RTMPS URL?

Yeah that's the feeling I have, everything else on the pc works, all my pings work it's a bizarre one.

The only time I do get an option to enter a URL at all is when I se tthe ingest stream type to custom streaming server, but I do not use that, typically I set it up as in the screenshot

Oh I tried that too, with the URL provided in the stream information on YT and did that with both standard and backup and neither work. It just keeps thinking that it can't connect to the internet which is wholly bizarrre because it can pull my saved scenes, it can run natively but HVEC is just doesnt want to do. Maybe I am just having a streamlabs Desktop hates me day haha (and I retried it just now given that earlier in our chat I now added it to the allowed section in windows firewall but it has made no difference)

Hello. I'm fairly limited in my knowledge with streamlabs but: I have been recording Session clips in 4k using Streamlabs for nearly a year now. I recently updated the app and when I record it's dropping frames really badly. Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service.

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Hello, I was wondering if I could get help with an issue I'm having with game capturing on Streamlabs Obs. Before the most recent update game captures would be automatically hidden if they were not open but now every single game I had says looking for a game to capture even when I don't have them open. I didn't need to hide them before but now I need to hide them or reorder them if they are visible. Is this intentional or is this something that needs a fix? I am running into an issue where Streamlabs won't post to the correct facebook page I need it to. It wants to go to an older page I created years ago. My new gaming FB page I setup however won't work. I've tried only granting stream labs permission to that one page and it doesn't help. I've tried disconnecting from everything and going back in and it won't work. If I let all the pages sync it wants to default to the wrong page, and it will work to that page but only that one page that's older not the newer one I need it to go to. Then when I'm already signed in it says to sign in again and then hits me with the - this belongs to another account message. I've really tried to resolve this on my own and was unable to and would love to fix this!

hey i have a question stream labs works great! but recently i noticed my alert box is no longer working correctly it will only show 1 follow once in a while any subcriptions or bits do not show up and i have logged out and logged back in to streamlabs i created an id to connect my twitch to see if that would fix it but nothing my parameters for the bits is set to 10 to trigger a alert and the original source i had was removed and i added a new one as well and when i test the alert box it works as it should but no viewer interactions work? and ideas? the help would be greatly appreciated! 😄

I did that as well.. also running it as administrator, deleting the application and reinstalling it, restarting my computer, I also tried to use the Stream Key Twitch gives me in the Creator Dashboard and that also didn't work

In Streamlabs Desktop, please go to Settings > Advanced > Network > Bind to IP. If the drop down menu is set to an IP address, change that setting to Default. If the drop down menu is set to Default, change it to the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10. After that, click Done to save the settings and then see if you can go live.

Can you try the steps below to see if they help?

First, please delete your game capture and close Streamlabs Desktop.
Then go to the search in windows (🔎) and search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a bunch of files. If you can ignore those for a second and click on the program data folder (link: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/918160373264306206/918162974265466911/unknown.png?width=960&height=538). Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there and highlighted. Go ahead and delete the folder.

Now go ahead restart your PC and then right click Streamlabs Desktop and run as administrator. Then add a new game capture and see if that works for you.

I submitted a ticket to Streamlabs and they said that somewhere in the ultra website that there was a little chat bubble in the bottom right corner and you could use that to chat w support. I am not sure though

Please run the Twitch Test. Use Medium or Long Duration and select all the ingests in your region. Short Duration sounds great but it give misleading results.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

The usual reason for that is that you’ve set a bitrate over the limit allowed by Twitch, which is 6000. Lower your bitrate to 6000.

The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Yellow border is apart of Windows 10 capture hook, you can try using DXDGI for capture method within the Window source capture settings.

1080 requires lots of bitrate. Really only YouTube allows enough bitrate for 1080p since they allow up 51000 bitrate. Twitch will only allow up to 6000. Kick limits you to 3500.

Actually the hard limit for Twitch is 8,5 and Kick is 8 but is not recommended due to headroom needs. I do 7,5 and have no issues. Combined with 936p looks amazing. A good rule of thumbs to determinate bitrate is

Streamlabs OBS started to capture games in 16:9, even though they are 4:3. I never had this issue before, I think I accidently did a keystroke that caused it to happen, but I'm not sure what I did. Any ideas? I can add a filter to force the capture to be 4:3, but that is terribly inconvenient.

It's been 23 days since the problem was posted without any response.

I have recreated the scene, there are no connections using the scene for beginning or ending scene, When in Studio Mode, it still takes 7 seconds for the fade out/in to even begin.
The scene consists of 11 image files full screen each, and only one is showing and all others hidden at any given time.
It is also noted, that during the 7 second transition, changing to another scene won't take place until the transition completes.

Anyone available to help, when I try and stream Star Citizen, then my stream runs for about 10 min and then just stops streaming. Streamlabs says it's still streaming but if you wat ch the stream it says I am not streaming. Also I will then have to forcefully close Streamlabs, and this ONLY happens with Star Citizen. I have tried streaming it with the game in Full screen, Borderless and Windowed and it does it on all three options

Hi guys I am trying to get tts to work but streamlabs permanantly has my bits notification down as a single ding. I cant customize it at all and am just stuck with it. I have been messing with it for over 2 hours now and can show proof of what is happening. Log in with the specific platform, like Twitch, rather than your Streamlabs ID. Click your PFP in the top right, and in that menu you can quickly switch over to your Twitch.

No. You’re wanting to edit your Alert Box on the Streamlabs web site. You mentioned you only see two alert types and don’t have other like subscriber and follow. Those are events on Twitch. I know from experience that you probably logged into the web site with your Streamlabs ID. So you need to log out of the Streamlabs web site and log in again but this time click the Twitch button.

Issue was resolved. They are still keeping most of my money. I still think this was underhanded as hell and am frustrated at Streamlabs but at least I don't have to be worried about being charged more and am getting some kind of refund even if it's only 1/6th of the money they charged me.

I have tried to change the preferences for the account, but when I save and refresh the page it goes back to the original settings. I recently started streaming again after a few years. My alerts widget doesn’t seem to function properly though. If I do “test follow, test bits, test raid” etc, everything works perfectly fine. It plays the sound, appears on stream, and shows the names/picture. However besides the test, it doesn’t actually show new alerts.

I’ve tried making sure that the correct options are enabled, and any basic troubleshooting step I can find online

I believe the issue mostly comes from a misconnection between Twitch and Stream Labs as I’ve noticed my “activity feed” on Stream Labs only updates SOMETIMES, and when it does it’s only a select few things.

However the updates that come through don’t display on my alerts widget

Streamlabs Console doesn't have mulistreaming capabilities. If you wanted to multistream yoour Xbox game play, you would need to purchase, install, and configure a capture card in your PC. And then set up your stream in Streamlabs Desktop.

But it does sound like you were using the camera in TikTok Live Studio and then were trying to use the camera again in OBS Studio? That's not possible; the camera can only be used on one application at a time.

Ok, it's because I have 11 images in this scene, all are hidden except one. Each image, regardless of hidden status, takes about .67 seconds before transition takes place. I check each source's "unload image when not shown" box, and then it transitioned to less than a second. However the transition changes in just one frame to a 50-50% mix THEN finishes the fade in just 20 frames (@30FPS)

Hello people, quick question here, YouTube Sub events aren't working properly, sometimes I get the new sub mail and no alert at all, sometimes it shows the next day. Is this some YouTube API issue? Anyone else having the same problem? Same thing happened for Facebook. Recent events feed not updating as well. Already tried unlinking and renewing the access.

When someone makes an account on YouTube, the subscribed channels are private by default. When the person subscribing to you is set to private, Streamlabs cannot see the subscription.

Since finding out the amount of sources has a lot to do with it, I checked the file sizes for each source and found for a 1920x1080 stream format, I had 10 times the file sizes needed. I resized and everything works ok now.

My bits, subs, and gifted tabs are working properly. But my chatters and emotes are not being updated. I have tried uninstalling the extension manager, logging in and out. What bitrate are you streaming at, and what resolution are you trying to output as? Noticing the Screenshot you are streaming from a Laptop, what GPU do you have? Reason i ask is to check whether you should use Software or Hardware Encoding.

I did a quick google search of NDI and looked at your prev message via search.. I would say you may need to repoint the SL to the right devices in your audio section. Because "OFTEN" in every major update, i notice SL can lose the paths to audio channels. Your devices probably show random variables, this is because SL lost the path. You need to select your Audio Channel again.. I use VoiceMeeter Banana so it is Free compared to NDI... VoiceMeeter Potato offers more channels and free... if you have more than 8-10 channels to control then NDI comes into play... but if less than 8... you really shouldnt have to pay. but your choice 🙂

I installed the Streamlabs beta plugin for OBS on my computer but even after multiple restarts of OBS, my PC and making sure it installed correctly (no corrupt files, etc) it wont show up. Does anyone have a fix or suggestion for this?

I’ve got my stream overlay all set up and what not, however, I am having trouble with my output, resolution and scaling. Everything looks fine in stream labs, but then whenever I check on Twitch, my output, scaling looks squished horizontally

if I open a game that is at the top of the layers it broadcasts it, but now I have to hide every single layer manually and then unhide them when I open them

whereas before I just had a bunch of different layers and anytime I would open a game it would appear over my base layer

i think there is something weird with their auto-updater on their feature releases.. often breaks something or a paths in the instructions coded.. so often a download from the main site and reinstall on top of the current should fix it.

The “looking for game” placeholder change is planned to be reversed. A work around is to go into the properties for Game Capture, switch the Mode to Auto then set a placeholder image. And then if necessary, switch the Mode back to what it was; the custom placeholder image should stay in place.

Hi, I’m kinda new to streaming and needed help with seting up. I’ve connmy capture card with both HDMIs to my PS4 and Macbook pro. In game capture HD, i can clearly see the gameplay soni know my capture card is working but in OBS and streamlabs, the capture card just doesn’t show up. It doesn’t come up at all as an option for video capture. I’ve tried restarting and it still doesn’t come up. Anyone have any tips or advice to help me with this issue. I’d greatly appreciate it.

okay, so hopefully in the next update it will be back to how it was previous to the recent update? I stream league of legends so there is a client, and the ingame client and usually I just have the ingame client layered over the menu one.

The behavior will be like it used to be. You can leave your setup the way it is for now or try using a custom placeholder image like a I detailed above. I don’t have any other information or an ETA.

I need help, I dont know what to do.
I just spent the last few days reinstalling Windows 11 3 times just to fix the issues I have been having with Streamlabs.
I cant go through another Windows install. Something is seriously wrong with the updater.
where the version now is supposed to be 1.15.2 for me is now 1.16.2
I just yesterday closed my support ticket about this issue only to have it suddenly appear.
I have already sent through my support Ticket 2 DMP files.
One with the bug and one without the bug (after i reinstalled windows 3 times in 4 days).

I just reran the installer and when the popup for the updater appeared, I closed it, which seemed to bring me back to 1.15.1

which tells me that something is SERIOUSLY wrong with the updater.

The installer on the web site isn’t updated until the update is fully rolled out so that’s why if you reinstall you will get the last version but it should auto update during one of the first few launches.

yeah, but every time I use the updater now, it boost me up 1 whole version, which in turn causes the program to crash every time I try to change scene collections
Thankfully Im fine with waiting till the updated installer is released before I manually update the program because I cant keep spending 2 days to reinstall windows Just for Streamlabs

If you’re crashing while trying to change scene collections, it always when you change from one specific collection to any other is it with any scene collection?

Any scene collection.
It always resumes from where I last left of back when using a stable version,
Not to mention there are issues of the client crashing when logging in/out
all of which carry no error messages of any kind

Now Im not sure if you can reference support Tickets.
But the ticket I had just closed thinking the issue was 100% resolved was Ticket Number 775097

No I have not I I only just noticed this issue after I made a recording.
I went to go back and check some settings and the updater appeared, after dealing with that
I was jumped all the way from 1.15.1 all the way to 1.16.2

The update rolls out in waves so not everyone gets it all at once in case there are any unforeseen bugs. Your friend should get updated; we can’t pinpoint when.

I can update the original report to let the development team know you were updated automatically again, then began having the same issues. They may ask for logs from 1.16.2, and I can always put your ticket "on hold" while they are investigating, as well.

If I recall correctly, you’re on a Mac? Have you granted access to the camera for that web browser? Do I Need a Webcam?
Having a webcam for Streamlabs Console is not mandatory, but you can connect an external webcam to a USB port on your Xbox, which will automatically be detected. You can also use your mobile device as a webcam through the Streamlabs Console editor.

Hi another quick question. When settings up Stream Labels, when something is called a "Session" like Session Follower Count. Is that while the streamer is live? or weekly? because when we added it, its showing 312 and we know the most recent live was only 19 followers

Log out of the Steamlabs web site and log in by clicking the Twitch button rather than the Steamlabs ID button. If you’re working on alerts or other widgets on the web site, log in with the specific platform, like Twitch and not your Streamlabs ID.

There’s a button on the live alert box web page and I think on your Live Actions page that will reset your Streamlabels session. Might reset that before your next stream.

Hmmmm, I’m not sure, sorry. That all looks okay to me but I’m concerned that somehow the audio is being captured twice via the capture card. Hey there. Having an issue with a scene transition stinger and audio that plays in both scenes. The issue is that there is an overlap where the audio playing from scene 1 leaks into scene 2 after the transition has finished. Any solutions?

Ive tried different transitions point times and types but I cant seem to get a solution. Ive also tried the audio fade style too.

Im trying to get the audio from scene 1 to stop as the stinger begins and the audio from scene 2 to start once it ends.
