I have been using the DEMOLISHER overlay from Streamlabs on OBS. When trying to use the Chat Box, however, long pieces of text run in one line until it doesn't show anymore past the border. Okay, I’m having trouble streaming clearly with stream labs, even with OBS

I have a streaming pc
11700k
1080 ti
64gb ram

Gaming PC:
12700k
3090
64gb ram

1gb up/down fiber internet direct connect 0 packet loss, bufferbloat is A+. Ping is 3 pinging to cloud flare dns or 5 locally.

Both PCs are optimized and overclocked (msi tuner, bios, registry, nvidia control panel, windows, everything you can possibly think of besides custom os)

When I use my streaming pc, I connect my gaming pc through the Elgato 4K 240fps nvme card with 240fps 4K quality cables.

When I stream with streamlabs I use 1080 60fps, cbr 9000 bitrate (I’ve tried lower, 8000,7000,6000), high, max quality, key frames etc all recommended and off settings. Also using nvidia new encoder, I’ve tried the other encoders with same issues. CPU encoder maxes out and drops frames, nvidia never drops frames unless I use CQP with lowest settings at 50, below that I drop frames

Everytime i stream with either stream labs or obs on either pc, it’s still super blurry/pixelated when I’m running around in a game, not saying you can’t see what’s going on but i see many streamers with way better quality than why I’m offering. Also My CPU, GPU, and RAM never get over 30% while I’m steaming even if I up the fps in streamlabs to 240fps.

So why is my stream blurry when running when im using the best settings for CBR, have amazing internet, and hardware should be able to handle more, what other options can I try?

Lossless doesn’t work at all, it drops like 80% frames 😂

I’m experiencing an issue with the audio in my recordings in Streamlabs. I’m recording my PS5 gameplay with an Elgato HD60Pro and I’m using a Blue Snowball USB mic to record my voice. Both audio sources are being registered and picked up in the Mixer, but when I play back the recording neither one are playing at the same time. Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

If the tip was made with your Streamlabs Tip URL, it will only show up in Streamlabs. That event does not “occur” within Twitch’s ecosystem. It’s a link that points outside Twitch.

Please try this:

1. Delete that video capture source from every scene where it’s used and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
2. Go to Windows Device Manager, locate the Camera device, right click on it, and choose Uninstall device.
3. Unplug the camera from your system and reboot the PC.
4. Once the PC is back up, plug in the camera and let Windows detect it and set it up.
5. Launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and then add the Video Capture Device source back.

If you still have issues, try these steps again but move the camera to a different USB port. Don’t use a USB Hub.

I’m experiencing an issue with the audio in my recordings in Streamlabs Desktop. I’m recording my PS5 gameplay with an Elgato HD60Pro and I’m using a Blue Snowball USB mic to record my voice. Both audio sources are being registered and picked up in the Mixer, but when I play back the recording neither one are playing at the same time. I’ve tried disabling/reenabling my capture devices and microphone, but I can’t find a solution to the problem.

I’ve searched all over Reddit for answers, I had to switch over to Streamlabs Desktop from OBS because I was experiencing the same problem AND it kept crashing.

Having issues logging in/the login button is unresponsive?
Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

Make sure you quit Streamlabs Desktop before changing your default browser. If it’s running, it won’t detect the change. Sometimes a reboot can help out.

Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Very weird. Quit Streamlabs Desktop. Then go to the Streamlabs web site and download a fresh installer. Run the installer as administrator and let it install over your existing installation; no need to uninstall first. At the end of the installer, don’t let it launch Streamlabs Desktop, but rather quit the installer and reboot your PC. Then see what happens.

Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Heya, I'm having an issue with my Streamlabs OBS and I can't figure out how to fix it.
Every time I use it to record a game, it flips the image around. An example can be seen in the image below.
Beyond that, it records my cursor despite the setting being disabled, and even if I fix it, the error is back the next time I open up streamlabs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I know I can just transform the image, but the problem is that it reverts everything upon resetting the client, and reinstalling does nothing to fix it. Sometimes, my only solution is to delete the source, and then set up a new one and pray it works.

so im having this issue where I like to use 16:9 aspect ratio but it doesnt fir the stream well. manually adjusting leaves a gap above and below. the auto transforms (attached) arent it. I can manually adjust 16:10 to fit okay. My monitor is 49". is there a way I can have Streamlabs only capture the game part of my screen without the manual adjustment? Preferably on aspect ratio 16:9?

I have a weird problem. I use scene-to-scene transitions for scenes needing motions.
For example: in my camera only scene I have camera source full screen, and a usb-hdmi capture source positioned off-frame in upper left corner. The size of the capture source is 60% of full frame. In another scene has the camera transformed 30% to the right, and the usb-hdmi capture source in full view in upper left corner, size unchanged. In both scenes, the sources are showing. The transition from camera to the next scene has the motion of moving the camera at the same time bringing in the usb-capture to the upper left corner. Works great.
However, I have scenes where the camera sources are hidden or shown and don't need motion when cameras are switched. But the hide/show sources are instantaneous and look bad. So I switch to Studio Mode and use Transition-> button to do a cross-fade when sources change, which looks much better.
Now the problem. Studio Mode works in all my many scenes except one. In that scene when I show/hide source and hit Transition, it takes over seven seconds to make the transition. And one time today, and it's the only time it's ever happened, SL crashed when Studio Mode was off, I selected the problem scene, and then switched to Studio Mode. Restarted SL and tried again, SL took over seven seconds to switch over to Studio Mode, but didn't crash.
The crash dialog informed me of the file created, but the OK button was greyed out and wouldn't respond. I don't know how to send the crash log.
Do I need to recreate the scene?

The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

I recently got a capture card off Amazon (Admittedly cheap and probably the source of my headache) and the pass through works great. No flaws.

Streamlabs gets the video just fine. The audio.... Nope. It's the same if I add a song to a scene. Shows the audio is playing but makes no noise. No matter how much I turn my PC up.

Widget tests make noise. So what is going on? Am I returning my card or am I just too dumb to figure out this program?

Check your internet connection" - I have tried disconnecting from my wifi and using mobile hotspot, get the same message. In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings > Advanced > Network.
If the setting for Bind to IP is set to Default, click on the drop down menu and choose the IP address of your computer, usually starts with 192.168 or 10.10. If an IP address is already selected, change it to Default. Then click Done to save the settings and then try to go live again.

Hmm, I need a bit of help with Streamlabs Alerts.

My streamer friend had alerts set up (using browser source in OBS Studio). And suddenly since a couple of days bits alerts are not working.
Other Twitch events (e.g. sub alerts) are working normally. A test bit alert generated from Streamlabs dashboard is also working.
But real bit donations don't generate an alert. They used to, but without changing any settings it stopped working.

I'm a bit (ha) lost at this point what else to check. Don't see any recent discussions here that it's a widespread problem.

If it’s just Bits alerts and all the other alerts work, I’d tell you friend to make sure that the Bits alert is enabled and that they have NOT set a Minimum Bits to Alert.

hey all, dealing with an issue with StreamLabels where it seems to only want to update certain events, not others. For example, subscriptions seem to update on my StreamLabels + OBS with alerts just fine, but follows as of right now do not show up on the event list or my alerts. Follows are checked in my StreamLabels filter, and if I launch my alert box on streamlabs and test a follow, it works as well. It sends through to my OBS just fine. Just seems to not update actual new follows as of right now.

Go ahead and log out in Steamlabs Desktop, and if you use them, log out in Streamlabs Mobile, Streamlabs Console, and Streamlabels. Also log out of the Streamlabs web site. If you’re using OBS Studio, then you’ll need to log in at the Streamlabs web site to reestablish the connection. If you’re using Steamlabs Desktop, when you logged back in it should have reestablished the connection and thus would have been in the screen shot above.

Either way, once you’ve logged in, please screen shot the Other Connections on Twitch again.

There we go. Now post the link to your Twitch channel. Then in either Streamlabs Desktop or OBS Studio, go to the scene with the Alert Box and let me know you’ve done that and I’ll follow you as a test. You should see the alert in the preview window and the mini feed in Streamlabs Desktop and the Recent Events page on the Streamlabs web site should update.

My follower alert isn't working in Streamlabs. My other alerts all work, and the Follower test alert works, but when people actually follow it doesn't go, and followers aren't in my feed on the desktop app, just subs. I refreshed my token and changed the alert pic/sound just in case but it's still not working. Any ideas how to fix it?

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the platform will resolve this.

Don't skip the log out steps! To log out of the Streamlabs web site, click your PFP in the upper right corner of the web site and choose Log out. See the image below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.
