It will never be “instant”. That’s how the internet works. There’s always a delay between when something happens and when it is presented on stream. If you’re experiencing a significant amount of delay, I would recommend lowering your stream output resolution

since you are unsure what your ISP gives you, just do a speedtest of your bandwidth at home. You can do the speedtest by Ookla or fast.com (this is used by netflix, its more reliable no ads)

That’s due to an account privacy option in YouTube that’s enabled by default. If the viewer’s subscriptions are private, we cannot detect when they subscribe to your channel.

The viewer would need to go here BEFORE subscribing https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy and turn this setting off. Changing it after subscribing would not cause an alert. Also unsubscribing and resubcribing after toggling that option off would not cause an alert. The latter is done to prevent people from spamming your alerts.

This setting ON YOUR CHANNEL doesn’t matter. The person watching your stream would have to change the setting on THEIR account.

YouTube did this comply with privacy laws like COPPA.

Correct. The setting on your channel isn’t the problem. If the viewer doesn’t turn off the setting on their channel before clicking the subscribe button your channel, that subscription won’t be detected and thus no alert.

Normally, when I log into my Streamlabs desktop, it is using my Twitch login and I had Ultra. Now it expired and when I renewed it wants me to use my Streamlabs login on the desktop to access Ultra. All of my settings, overlays, and everything disappear if I log on using Streamlabs login instead of Twitch. Make sense?

i would say before going live with alot of stuff, try doing local recordings and test your alerts first. See if they come through with sound as well. If they are not coming through with sound, check if the alerts are configured correctly too.

according to several forums EA didnt apply a fix for Madden 24 yet.. so it's a Madden issue

Having issues with Streamlabs Desktop not capturing and just getting a black screen?

• After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.
• This means you will want to start interacting with the "game" for about 5-20 seconds before it will be detected.
• Also try running Streamlabs Desktop as admin and if using Game Capture, try using the "Capture Specific Window" option.

That variable won’t work for raid alerts. The default message should have been sufficient. Here’s the two variables that work with raid alerts:

{name} - Shows the name of the streamer raiding you.
{count} - Shows the number of raiders that have joined the raid.

Streamlabels are data from the end platform, like Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook. A goal is something that is defined in your Streamlabs account and can't be obtained via a Streamlabel. You can get the most recent donation, top donations, etc, but not the actual goal itself.

And you added a Text Source and pointed it to the file. Make sure the Text source is at the top of the Source list. If its lower in the Source list than any capture method (Game Capture, Window Capture, Display Capture), then it will be 'hidden' and thus not visible.

Yes, it causes alerts not to be presented until they are manually approved by a moderator. Its a setting that sounds good but 99.9% of the time breaks alerts.

Please uncheck these two options and set your bitrate to 8000.

If you're still having issues, then cap the FPS in the game to either 60 or 120 AND set the refresh rate on your monitor to either 60 or 120. 60 and 120 divide evenly by 60. Having uncapped in game FPS or a monitor refresh rate that doesn't divide evenly cn causes skipped and lagged frames.

The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

For the last few months I’ve had nothing but crashes currently at the computer store after doubling my ram, apparently SLOBS isn’t meant to be doing this, did a reinstall of slobs before that a reinstall of windows how can I fix this? Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

I once had an issue with Spectrum where my upload speed would be 40 then suddenly it would be 5 then suddenly 22. All over the place. Eventually they found a damaged connector on the side of my apartment building.

Took two months to get that fixed. Dropped frames aren’t easy to fix.

may want to check if anything raising suspicion in the event viewer of the laptop. Since you are on a laptop, you may want to check your Power Perfomance Plan incase you are running on battery too. If it's plugged in all the time or during stream, may want to check if it is set to performance too. Because looking at the twitch tool, you are using WiFi 6E network adapter, but if your laptop is limiting you, then your hardware is throttling you.

The "acting like it's a fresh restart" is due to certain background processes not closing properly. First, please close Streamlabs Desktop.

Then open your task manager. Please press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" on your keyboard to bring up your Task Manager.
Please select "More Details" at the bottom if you don't see the percentages of resources used.

Check for any running programs called "Streamlabs," "Electron," or "Obs64". If you find either of these processes running, please right-click and end the process. https://gyazo.com/d6b9babb076875ee5889983b532948e1

Quit Streamlabels, download a fresh installer, run the installer as administrator and let it install over your existing installation. Then reboot your PC and try again. Mine did this earlier today and a reinstall fixed it.

In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings -> Video and make sure that the Output Resolution looks right. Usually this can happen if someone logs in with TikTok as TikTok forces the portrait orientation. So, for example, if the output field show 1080x1920, that should be 1920x1080.

If you're Output Resolution looks as it should be, then right click on your capture source, choose Transform and then choose Fit to Screen.

I am having a problem of getting alerts to actually show up on stream. I have watched about 10 different videos most of them say roughly the same thing and I have also fidgeted around for a while on my own and can't seem to figure it out. My alerts work just fine when I test them out on the website or the desktop app but when someone actually follows nothing pops up on stream and my mini feed doesn't refresh. So I have come to the conclusion that it has to probably be something wrong with the mini feed not wanting to refresh or something but I am completely out of ideas on how to fix it. No. Ultra is not required for that. All the features in Streamlabs Desktop are free as its based off the open source of OBS Studio. You can enhance your Streamlabs experience with Ultra but it is in no means a requirement to do so.

I can't check the key manually as I cannot log out of YouTube on Streamlabs, as its automatically attached itself to my account due to the gmail login.

What do you mean by 'Google Account'? We don't have a way of logging in with email except if you click on YouTube or Streamlabs ID.

Apologies, I created my account with a steamlabs ID via my Google email address. It has now "synced" with my youtube account with the same email, but I get the error above.

Pressing "Fix" loads up the studio stream on my YouTube account, but it acts like it is not paired to my Streamlabs Desktop. I then get the latter error, pressing "Enable Live Streaming" takes me again to the YouTube page that allows you to start a new stream.

I would log into the Streamlabs web site with https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms and make sure the YouTube account shown there is the correct channel.

Huh, the merged account there did not have the correct channel name... Weird. Will attempt to fix now!

Hello everyone, i seem to have a problem with my follow/sub/raid notifications not working, i've checked to see if my alerts are paused or not, and im almost certain they arent.

I've also checked my alert box and i've checked the link in OBS Studio, checked if my follow/sub/raid alerts are enabled and they are.

what am i doing wrong?

Do you perhaps have Unlimited Alert Moderation Delay enabled? If so, disable that setting. Please go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox and if you have Unlimited Alert Moderation Delay enabled, disabled it then click Save Settings at the bottom of the page. Also go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents and make sure your alerts are not paused. Are you using a TTS voice with an actual name, like Brian, or one that has a country or dialect name, like English (US)?

Switch to a different name, save the settings for the Donation alert, wait a minute or two, change back to Hans, save the settings for the Donation alert, and then reply one of the alerts and see how it goes.

Then I would, in OBS Studio, remove the Browser Source you have to the Alert Box, restart OBS Studio, go to your Alert Box Widget page https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox and copy the Wiget URL and add in a new Browser Source in OBS Studio and paste in the URL. Also open a web page and paste in the Widget URL and click the test buttons on the Alert Box web page. You should see and hear the alerts in both the Preview Window in OBS Studio and in the other web page.

Okay, add another new Browser Source in OBS Studio, don't paste in anything in the URL field, and screen shot the properties for the Browser Source.
