The primary accounts hold all your Streamlabs data, your cloud backup for scenes and sources, all the widget settings, merch store, donation history, etc. You shouldn’t try and manually change it as it can cause loss of data. Your default browser in Windows is causing issues with logging into Streamlabs Desktop. The login popup relies on the default browser set in Windows, so you won't be able to log in if it's blocked. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

5. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.

@tawdry kelp some video editing sofwtare renders the preview in low quality for performance reasons, this is normal, refer to your respective editor's manual for how to change that, or use proxies

Yes sir, it’s an issue with stream labs OBS. It’s truly annoying but you have to go to the website, END THE GOAL. And reset it. If you aren’t on a scene where the goal is showing or you are offline, it won’t update.

When twitch tried to roll out their new alert boxes it messed with a lot of streaming platforms.

It sounds wild. But try go to twitch. Go to your creator dashboard. Go into alert boxes. Then once you’re there, on the right side of the screen you’ll already have an alert box set up. Edit that alert box. Uncheck ALL OF THE ALERTS. And then turn ALL of them BACK ON.

Went to open again and now it looks like it's preped for phones and messed up my overlays... tried to fox it but every time I left the app and reopened it, it would default to this state still...

had this issue a year or two ago, found a fix but can't remember what I did. All I can remember is the link between streamlabs and twitch is messed up because its using an old link or something like that, delete link and relink and it worked. But how I did it I can't remember

found it. Go to your twitch, settings, connections. Go down the list and you will see something like streamElements connected 2 years ago, delete that, and maybe even the streamlabs connection aswell

then logout, and log in again. Then another streamlabs should pop up under connections saying connected 15 seconds ago

you can always tell people to check your Discord Profile, your channels are listed there since you linked your discord 😛

You may want to check if Blackhole for MacOS has a discord for support, otherwise there is Reddit. I use VoiceMeeter Banana, it may be quite similar, it's frustrating at the start, just make sure you label your channels and it should be easier.

you need help with Audio like outputs to your stream? I would recommend checking what your devices are labeled in your PC first, and check which devices you want Streamlabs to capture.

may want to double check streamlabs is a moderator in your twitch, maybe unmod it then remod it so it syncs, same with @thorny maple , double check your streamlabs is the moderator of your channel, may need ot unmod, then remod so it syncs to your channel.

if using the browser for streamlabs, you could try unlinking your Youtube and test that to see if it lets you have your primary as twitch. I don't multicast, but it could be an issue with linking and maybe email accounts used on both twitch and youtube if they are not the same.

i dont have console or elgato, but you may want to check if elgato has a discord, forums, or support to see recommended configurations. Otherwise can your Laptop see the Elgato device? If yes, you may need to setup your sound settings in your PC, like what is the default System device, and default communications device to setup your audio channels.

Yea, it picked up the el gato. It even picked up my parties audio 😂 somehow just not my microphone. It may be a laptop thing, it was making me use my laptop microphone

another thing to try is VoiceMeeter Banana, to help organize audio channels, if curious what it looks like, this is my setup. You can tell what mic or headphone to use a channel... a bit confusing to setup but it works after 10 minutes of config 🙂

that reason i use VM banana to control the main audio, is because i can have streamlabs or my other platforms only watch only 2 audio channels vs many

EventViewer in your PC will show why StreamLabs Desktop most likely crashed. And if trying to uninstall it fully, before reinstall, I would recommend using RevoUninstaller to fully clean it from the PC, then re-install.

if you have not used Event Viewer before, i can help you in DM, so we dont flood this chat with troubleshooting.

Otherwise you will be filter the logs manually, but you just need to make sure you do not clear the logs because they are essential for troubleshooting your windows PC

you can also make sure your DNS settings in your network settings has google DNS in it like 8.8.8.8 to help locate the right name space of streamlabs

We're encountering a technical challenge with a client's setup in our studio and are seeking advice on an effective solution.

Here’s an overview of our current configuration.
Our studio is equipped with a high-spec computer running Streamlabs, handling multiple inputs, including a camera connected via an SDI port and a TV displaying content from another computer.

The Streamlabs PC is remotely controlled by our team, typically via VNC or AnyDesk, for scene switching during broadcasts.

Our presenters in the studio use Rode Wireless Go microphones, which feed directly into the camera. The issue at hand is integrating guests into our broadcasts through the collab cam. We are striving to establish clear audio communication between the studio presenters and remote guests without encountering feedback or double audio pick-up from the microphones. The presenters do not have direct access to the Streamlabs PC.

To facilitate visual interaction, we've added an additional monitor to the Streamlabs PC to display the collab cam feed, allowing presenters to see the guests. However, the challenge remains with the audio setup.

One potential workaround we've considered involves the guest using two phones: one serving as the collab cam source and the other on a phone call with the presenters. The presenters would listen through earphones, and we would directly capture the audio from the collab cam. However, we are keen to avoid this method if possible, as we aim for a more streamlined and elegant solution.

Does anyone have any suggestions or alternative solutions that could help us facilitate a smooth two-way audio communication between our studio presenters and the guests, without the complexity and potential drawbacks of our current workaround? Your advice and expertise would be greatly appreciated.

Dual PC Setup audio issues:
My game volume is louder than the microphone volume. I am not sure how to adjust this.
Gaming PC has a Fifine SC3 connected to it. Fifine AM8 microphone connected via XLR. Output line going to input line on the Streaming PC.
I setup voicemeeter to assist with transferring audio from gaming to streaming PC so I didn't have to have mic monitoring on with the SC3.
Can anyone help me figure out how to lower the game audio and increase the mic audio. Stream says can barely hear due to the game audio so loud.

yah i didnt use VBan in my setup, but i mean like if you went to Control Panel and Sound, check your Playback/Recording devices, which are set to Default Comms and Default device, that way they can pipe correctly to your VM Banana.

I have changed those to be selected for VM. All the sounds are transferring to the streaming PC, I am just looking for a way to lower the game volume so I don't lose the volume but the stream does. How do you transfer your sound to streaming PC without using VBAN?

You can try this video, and to my understanding on the streaming PC, if the volume is low, you may want to check of the Audio is high enough for games coming from the Gaming PC. Then adjust it on the streaming side.

Hi there! I am trying to figure out why Streamlabs Desktop is telling me that I need to enable streaming for my YouTube (brand) account, when I am both able to stream with the generic stream key and able to stream my webcam in the browser with said account.

Probably streamlabs isn't recognizing it. You can log out of Streamlabs Desktop and then log back in with your Youtube > brand account (it could also be logged into your regular youtube account instead)

if all else fails... i'd say try a reinstall, a clean revo uninstall of SL OBS, reboot, then reinstall. The thing with revo, it may remove any layouts as it is a clean wiper uninstaller, to make sure there are no orphaned files.

Hi, I am having an audio issue while streaming. I have 3 audio sources, 1) Desktop audio 2) voice(blue yeti) 3) Alertbox. I have muted the camera so it does not pick up sound. However the desktop audio is picking up audio like a mic and playing it delayed to the mic audio. So I basically get a double voice audio/echo. So i'm on the website trying to get access to my dashboard right. It has this dashboard orientation that it is making me do. After pushing go to dashboard it brings me to this screen where it has a page error stating "streamlabs.com refused to connect"

Is it possible to use anything other than Windows Audio Drivers for SLOBS?

I have purchased a Yamaha AG08, 8 channel live streaming mixer, and I DJ on stream. My DJ controller is utilizing the Rekordbox software. Rekordbox is sending audio out from the controllers ASIO + Chan. 3/4 on the Yamaha Mixer. When I go to Audio Input Capture in SLOBS, the only options for the Yamaha mixer are (voice, stream, and AUX). The stream option includes my mic, and if I capture that then I can't even have a separate voice channel.

I am in communications with Yamaha and they are saying that it should work with any ASIO compatible software. Which I guess SLOBS is not. So that brought me to VoiceMeeter Banana. I set that up, and under hardware inputs I still am not seeing the Steinberg DAW option, which the Yamaha rep I am talking to seems to think should give me individual channel inputs and outputs.

I bought this because it was advertised as an 8 channel mixer. I want to monitor audio on separate channels in OBS, and use the volume faders on the mixer to adjust those levels instead of having to bend way over for my mouse and KB while DJing.

So far, I have been able to have audio output to a specific channel from Rekordbox, and I can pick up that audio as an output capture, but for whatever reason that seems to ignore the volume control at the fader and is just capturing a line level signal. It seems like Yamaha is heading towards telling me they don't know how to make this work, so is there some piece of hardware that actually works in the way that I want this to, or is there some lack of knowledge on Yamaha's part and this will work?

Please help, I have been trying to get this to work for over a month.

to activate the bots, you go to their linked websites... nightbot and wizebot i recommend if you want to filter out spam in your chats as well as prevent bot follows. Sery_bot is a twitch stream that also monitors to prevent bot follows or raids of bots.

easiest way to check what you had labeled is right click your sound bottom right... Open Sound Settings... and go to Manage Sound Devices/Device Properties...

or if old school like me... Start > Type Control Panel > click Sound, and relabel your devices and check configs of each one in both playback and Recording

I stream on twitch and youtube. Well for the past 3 days my stream has not been working. I use streamlabs to do so. When I stream it works for a little while or or is just a black screen. Sometimes it gives me a message that my credientials arnt working. Ihave tried closing the app, redownloading the app, logging out. If someone can pls help

Have you tried unlinking and re-linking your accounts? Not logging out streamlabs, but just unlink the accounts and relink. It has to do with re-auth to the platforms. They probably updated their tokens

Hi, I stream 2 outdoor IP cameras on YouTube. There is one, especially during the day, it can take up to 15-20 seconds before it's really live. Often the time may be an hour late with image blur. everything comes back within 15-20 seconds. In quality 1080p. I increased the transfer rate but at one point it was on YouTube studio which told me that the rate was too high. do you have a solution ?

Hello to everyone in the server I already stayed in my problem. My problem is that I stream on YouTube and twitch and I have always used Streamlabs and recently has given me a message that it cannot connect to the server due to a stream key or some other issue. Now I switched to OBS and then it is now saying he cannot access the specified channel or stream key Please double check your stream. If it is correcting me a problem connecting to the server and the stream key is correct I’ve copied it from the stream key thing on Twitch.

My stream just goes black or it will work for about five minutes and then it goes black. This is very frustrating because I just started streaming in November and I’m already experiencing issues and this type of things make me just wanna quit and give up.

First... your issue is regarding Nightbot.... Second.... this is StreamLabs Community Support... You may want to check Nightbot forums, reddit, or vids. I used nightbot for music at one point and word protection.. there is also Wisebot i used for blocking known bot follows.

Hello! I'm having a small issue where when I try to download the ultra stream overlays/themes I am met with an infinite download? It says it is downloading but never completes. hey there everyone, i am trying to get something working for my stream and am having some issues understanding the exact way queues are working

ive watched the vids and such, and can use them, but not entirely sure the variable {users} and how to utilize it the way i want

bascially, im wanting the viewers to be able to type a command such as "!list" or something i make it, where streamlabs will then spit back the entire queue in order. Is that possible?

I'm just wanting something whether it be a command i make or built it, where a viewer in chat can check how many users are in front of them in the queue

you can try to logout streamlabs and re-log back in... if that doesnt work, you can try unlink your platform then re-link. That will be done on twitch settings page, but not sure for youtube

to be fair, im not an official support, (im another streamer like you 🙂 ), but unfortunately the official support is only for Ultra users, if you have utlra streamlabs you get access to the other channels people can possibly help you with commands. Using themes widgets for my alertbox, all seem to show up as the theme that's installed except for Bits. If I test the widget through Streamlabs it shows up correctly. If I test it through the dashboard it works correctly. But if I send it from Twitch, or hit the replay button in Streamlabs, the Bits alert does not follow the installed theme. I have a screen capture if what I typed didn't make sense. Any ideas why Bits are the only alerts that doesn't adhere to the widget theme?

Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the platform will resolve this.

Don't skip the log out steps! To log out of the Streamlabs web site, click your PFP in the upper right corner of the web site and choose Log out. See the image below on how to log out in Streamlabs Desktop.

You can still do your gaming at a high Res, just set your output to a 1920x1080p because the output... you need to think of your viewers.. Depending on your Content, not alot of viewers may have the support to watch a high Res.

ahh lol the big discord image didnt minimize the ISP speed, but i got it... you may want to try 4000 bit rate, if that still doesnt work... you can also try switching stream server... but since hmm... wifi pod, is it those lil pocket pods? im going to google it, because if it is just like those ATT Uverse setups... the XFinity Wifi Pods could also be blocking ports on how it routes to certain services...

You may want to add a DNS entry on your computer NIC for both 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for Google to redirect traffic to the correct name servers if it cant find your server

For now I changed the server to the nearest area to me and i will test if it fixed the issue tomorrow, for now i must head to sleep due to having work in the morning lol. If issue isnt fixed, will it be alright for me to DM you instead? Or just "@" you in this chat?

ok, so to fix that you'll need to go to the Layout Editor in the left menu, then replace that element by the "Editor preview" i think or something like that

i think you need to scroll up in the left menu to find that layout editor
