You have to make some trade offs to troubleshoot the issue. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spun up test streams in order to troubleshoot things.

Sometimes for me that happened when I had a certain word or character in the title, twitch is a bit weird/specific on what isn't allowed for whatever reason and had to try a few times through twitch manager specifically to see what would work, that could be one thing that could be it

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Since no one responded to my message last night I'll copy and paste it here: I tried disconnecting streamlabs and everything else that someone was talking about earlier, so far nothing's worked. As I said, when I go to test my alert box for a new follower or subscriber it works just fine, but when someone actually follows me it doesn't show up at all. I'm using OBS if that helps.

Yes! Be sure to make sure Cloudbot is toggled on under both platforms. You can quickly switch from the logged in platform to another via your PFP picture on the Streamlabs web site.

I would remove the Alert Box source from every scene that has it, wait a few minutes, quit Streamlabs Desktop, wait another few minutes, launch Streamlabs Desktop, and add the Alert Box widget back to just one scene; making sure the Alert Box source is at the top of the Source list for that scene. Then in Streamlabs Desktop as well, go to Settings > Advanced > Sources and uncheck Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration, save the settings and restart Streamlabs Desktop again and then test the alerts.

I would go the Alert Box web page on the Streamlabs web site and go the each alert and make sure they are enabled and that Custom HTML/CSS is disabled. Also open the alert variation section at the bottom of each alert and if any variation shows as unknown or incomplete, delete that specific variation.

Then you may have missed a step in the disconnect service guide. You have to log out in Streamlabs Desktop, the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it and the standalone Streamlabs application if you use its. So I would go through the disconnect service guide again. Since I’ve now followed you, you’ll need another new, fresh follow as a test.

You don’t need to uninstall and reinstall. That really doesn’t help at all.

The key is to log out of every thing Streamlabs before disconnecting on Twitch. If you miss a logout, the disconnect won’t be effective.

For Subscription alerts…

Note that the Account Privacy setting on YouTube does affect how subscription alerts are detected. This is due to a privacy setting on YouTube and cannot be 'fixed' inside Streamlabs.

By default, YouTube accounts have their subscriptions set to Private. This means if a someone subscribes to your channel, Streamlabs can't detect that subscription and thus won't alert you.

The subscriber (the person watching your live stream), would need to make the subscriptions Public before subscribing to your channel in order for Streamlabs to detect the event and alert you.

There's nothing native in Streamlabs Desktop to read chat with TTS. You'll have to find a third party solution.

ive been having issues when going live on streamlabs obs, i've been getting the red box for the past 2 days and have recently been able to go live again although now the top text pops up and cloudbot is not working any ideas?

Likely there is a tag failing the Twitch moderation check (remove the offending tab) or your OAuth token has expired (log out, restart Streamlabs Desktop, and log back in).

I would suggest logging out of Streamlabs and all Streamlabs software that you may be using.
Go here: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections then find Streamlabs (Twitch Alerts) & click Disconnect. Then clear your web browsers cookies & cache files, & log into Streamlabs.com and all Streamlabs software that you may be using again.

Hello! I am a little desperate for some advice, I have a stinger that I just got and it has a green screen. I tried putting it in as a stinger as normal but the green screen wont go away. I tried youtube and a bunch of other places but I cant figure it out. has anyone ever had this issue? I am using either mp4 or mov but both are having the same problem. I also tried to edit the video manually in cap cut to give it a chroma key to just get rid of the green but even then it just shows a black screen behind the animation and isnt transparent.

It appears the Mixer on my Streamlabs Desktop has become unresponsive, I've never had a problem with it until tonight. I use VirtualDJ to send audio and video to Streamlabs, which broadcasts to Twitch. The video is fine, but none of the audio comes through. My connection between VirtualDJ and Streamlabs is through a virtual cable. My mic is also a direct input to the Streamlabs mixer, it doesn't pick up a signal either. My setups appear OK, and I'm able to broadcast audio and video from VirtualDJ directly to Twitch without any problems. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Anyone else having quick disconnect/reconnect to twitch streams lately? I've had it happen once or twice a week, but just had it happen twice within 3 hours. SLOBS isnt going down or showing dropped frames, nor that it needs to reconnect. My twitch stream will just drop for a second and reconnect, restarting the stream over entirely. If it was my internet I would get the "disconnect protection" that twitch allows, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I had someone tell me they had it happen as well who is on East coast and I'm West, so it's not a same-server issue. Let me know.

uhm it could be caused by many things 🤔 first thing i would do is run an internet speed test to know how much upload speed you have available to you, because if it's just 2.5 Mbps you won't be able to use 2500 bitrate for example. But best might be to just send a ticket to their support, there is a link in #rules

hello all, new user here, been streaming with streamlab desktop for 2y or so. Recently I've noticed a very annoying feature or bug, which I am unable to resolve. I am streaming a flight sim addon (X-Plane) and whenever I set my pushback truck, it requires a press of ENTER at one point. When I do this, the stream (both recording and stream) just end.

I don't have any hotkey set for ENTER key, not in streamlabs

aye bruh i found a bug, so when i start a stream, it starts (obviously). then when i stops the stream but I didn't end the live session, it somehow duplicate so theres like 2 stream and one shows the stream. When you choose the wrong one it won't show.

Then you need to logout of Streamlabs Desktop, logout of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP and choose Log out; do that on every device you access the Streamlabs website.

If you also use the standalone Streamlabels app, log out there as well.

Then quit Streamlabs Desktop, clear the cache in your web browser, quit the web browser.

Wait a few minutes, launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in with your new Twitch name.

Note that the Account Privacy setting on YouTube does affect how subscription alerts are detected. This is due to a privacy setting on YouTube and cannot be 'fixed' inside Streamlabs.

By default, YouTube accounts have their subscriptions set to Private. This means if a someone subscribes to your channel, Streamlabs can't detect that subscription and thus won't alert you.

The subscriber (the person watching your live stream), would need to make the subscriptions Public before subscribing to your channel in order for Streamlabs to detect the event and alert you.

You can see this setting here: https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy

👉🏻 ** And remember that this setting on your account does not matter in this case.

The person clicking the subscribe button on your channel would need to first change this setting.

Changing it afterwards would not cause an alert. And an unsubscribe/resubscribe also will not trigger an alert.**

That’s a list of your recent events. The setting in question is on the viewer’s, the person watching your live stream who wants to subscribe. If their subscriptions are private, then we can’t detect their subscription.

The setting in your account does not matter and won’t change or resolve this. The viewer has to change the setting before subscribing to your channel.

This is not a broke in Streamlabs. It’s due to the privacy setting on YouTube.

If you’re not a Twitch Partnet, you’d be limited by Twitch’s maximum bitrate which is 6000. Partners can go up to 8000.

Correct. You have to use a bit rate of 6000. Multistreamijg is great for getting exposure but it can be a bit tetchy to get setup to work on all platforms.

Honestly I would go for 720p with a bit rate of 6000. That way mobile viewers have a good experience as well.

i need help trying to get streamlabs chatbot into yt

is anyone ekse having problems with the streamlabs controller app?

i put the yt streamlas account into manager but when i go to test it out in the live controll room it isnt working

This useless app literally won't boot. It just sits on this screen. Been trying to fix for AN HOUR. Had to cancel stream because of it. Absolutely unacceptable quality.

Yellow border is apart of Windows 10 capture hook, you can try using DXDGI for capture method within the Window source capture settings. The yellow border doesn’t appear on stream. It’s there to notate that that window or screen is being captured or recorded.

That should let you do that. Try logging out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP in the upper right hand choose Log out. Then clear the cache in the web browser, restart the whole web browser, and then log back in and try again.

Okay, go to the Alert Box web page on the Streamlabs web site and click the Launch button and leave those pages open for a few minutes. Then launch Streamlabs Desktop, log out, restart Streamlabs Desktop, log in with your Twitch, and go to the scene with the Alert Box.

Then click each of the test alert buttons on the Alert Box web page. You should see the test alerts in the Launch window and in the preview window in Streamlabs Desktop.

Oh great! In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Setting > Advanced > Source and uncheck Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration, save settings, and restart Streamlabs Desktop after ending your stream. Also make sure the Alert Box source is at the top of the source list.
