The default Sub alert for Twitch is the one they get when they subscribe for the first time, in other words, its the 'default'.

The other items you show there are likely variations on the Subscription alert.

I find it much easier and more clear to work on alerts via the Streamlabs web site: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox#subscriptions

If you work on alerts via the web site, please close the properties of the Alert Box widget in Streamlabs Desktop to prevent and unexpected changes.

Sounds like you’re having issues with the resolution fields. The Base Resolution should be set to the same resolution as your monitor. The Output Resolution should be set to the resolution you want your stream.

This is also common: If you’ve logged in with TikTok, the Output Resolution is forced in Portrait due the requirements of TikTok. If you’re now streaming to another platform, you’d have to go to Settings > Video and swap the values in the Output Resolution field.

Okay, you can't make sure your stream bigger than the resolution of your monitor. You'd need to set the output resolution to the same value, 1400x1080.

When you press Windows-Shift-S, click and hold your left mouse button down and draw a shape of the area you want to capture. When you release the left mouse button, that are is captured and placed in the Clipboard. Then click here in Discord and press Control-V (paste).

Seems like you are live. Please end your stream, log out in Streamlabs Desktop and quit it. Wait a few minutes, launch Streamlabs Desktop, log back in, double check Settings -> Output look like they are screen shotted above, and then go live and let me how it goes.

Also, before you go live, at Settings -> Output, uncheck this option.

I'm just trying to find a solution to your issue. I'm not sure why all of a sudden this is broken for you. I'm PC and iOS. I don't have a Mac to test with. To me it seems like 2500 might be too low of a bit rate but if its been working fine, then leave the settings alone.

If your upload speed is dropping unexpectedly like that, that'll cause issues. I'd suggest, as a troubleshooting (and if you have physical access to the cable modem and you're the only one using it), shut down your PC, pull the power cord from your cable modem and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes, then plug it back in, and once the cable modem is fully up, boot up your PC.

At Settings -> Video:

1. Set the Base Resolution to 1920x1080
2. Set the Output Resolution to 1280x720 (don't select Custom, just pick 1280x720 in the drop down menu)
3. Set the Downscale Filter to Lanczos

At Settings -> Output:

1. Change the encoder to that of your AMD video card.
2. Set the bitrate to 7000.

If things look good, then switch the Output Resolution to 1920x1080 and if your upload speed seems to be better than 10, I'd bump the bitrate up to 8000 or 9000. If you upload speed keeps dropping down to around 10, I'd definitely call out to your ISP and tell them your not getting the upload bandwidth your paying for.

To find out what version of Windows you are using right click on the Window button and then select System. You'll see your Windows version in the second box on that screen.

That literally tells me nothing. If it's a Windows system it will have a Windows/Start button on the screen (typically lower right hand corner) that looks like four squares in a grid. Recommended bitrate values versus used resolution and FPS.

• For 1280x720 at 30FPS use 2200 up to 2800kbps.
• For 1280x720 at 60FPS use 3800 up to 5600kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 30FPS use 4400 up to 6200kbps.
• For 1920x1080 at 60FPS use (6000) 8700 up to 12500kbps.
• For 1600x900 or 1536x864 at 60FPS use at least 6000kbps up to 8600kbps.

<Note: These values are based for single-pc streaming setup, using x264 veryfast preset>

Using lower bitrates than listed is possible where allowed by the type of content or when using a better (slower) x264 preset or using RTX NVENC to have 6000kbps for 1080p60.
If you get pixelations on your stream, this would mean there is insufficient bitrate to properly encode the stream for the given content.```

If you use Streamlabs Desktop, please log out and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
Log out of the Streamlabs web site on all devices you access it by clicking your PFP in the upper right corner and choose Log out.

Please test it in a new scene collection to see if the same problem occurs.

Please try this:

1. Delete that video capture source from the scenes where it’s used and quit Streamlabs Desktop.
2. Go to Windows Device Manager, locate the Camera device, right click on it, and choose Uninstall device.
3. Unplug the camera from your system and reboot the PC.
4. Once the PC is back up, plug in the camera and let Windows detect it and set it up.
5. Launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and then add the Video Capture Device source back.

If you still have issues, try these steps again but move the camera to a different USB port. Don’t use a USB Hub.

I would also monitor CPU and GPU usage with Task Manager and ensure neither are 100% in use.

Whenever I stream. I use 1 output audio which is desktop and i keep that in mute.

Then I use application audio BETA so i use 1 for spotify, another for discord and another for the game audio.

It was working fine. But just suddenly, it stopped a day after.
I usually re add the source after deleting it all to make sure its new and then it works.

Now this time its not detecting the game audio but it does detect everything else.

First, what platform are you using to live stream, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Trovo, or X? And are you reporting an incorrect viewer count in the embedded chat dock or the Viewer Count Widget.

Second, please make sure that the Microphone device is not muted in the Mixer and that the correct Microphone device is selected at Settings -> Audio. If you're not using the Global Audio Settings, make sure the correct Microphone device is selected in the Audio Input Capture source; don't leave it on Default.

Hello its my first time youtube streaming on stream labs and the "mini feed" and it isnt up to date on my recent subscribers. It shows a recent subscriber from 21 days ago at the top of the list and thats it.

Note that the Account Privacy setting on YouTube does affect how subscription alerts are detected. This is due to a privacy setting on YouTube and cannot be 'fixed' inside Streamlabs.

By default, YouTube accounts have their subscriptions set to Private. This means if a someone subscribes to your channel, Streamlabs can't detect that subscription and thus won't alert you.

The subscriber (the person watching your live stream), would need to make the subscriptions Public before subscribing to your channel in order for Streamlabs to detect the event and alert you.

The person clicking the subscribe button on your channel would need to first change this setting.

Changing it afterwards would not cause an alert. And an unsubscribe/resubscribe also will not trigger an alert.**

Hey Rufus, I made another youtube account and subscibed to my channel on that new account and it didnt work. I subscribed and it didnt pop up in my "Mini feed". I changed the setting you told me to change.

Did you turn off Account Privacy on the other YT channel before you subscribed?

Remember, this setting on your channel (the streamer) doesn't matter in this case.

And note that sometimes YouTube will delay Subscription alerts for no apparent reason.

Hi all, I need some video help please. When I try using the game capture on my pc it doesn't seem to work anymore. I have just started to try and get back into streaming recently. not sure if something changed or I am just not doing something correctly. Make sure that the Alert Box is at the top of the Source list, otherwise its 'hidden' underneath those sources higher in the list. using a capture card and/or not using sld and/or not trying anything above 60 fps

even with everything i know about video production software, recording at 120 is still difficult for me, most of my own videos are not "perfect" 120, with occasional dips to 110-115 unique frames per second in most games

cap your game at 120 and record at 60, then

since cod warzone is a live service, any updates can cause or fix performance issues, this is normal and there's nothing you can do about that

does it still happen if playing at a much lower resolution? (like 720p)

capture cards are high bandwidth devices and thus may exhibit issues other devices won't; if you don't have a known-good usb cable, the next troubleshooting step might be to try a different capture card or a different pc

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Note that the Account Privacy setting on YouTube does affect how subscription alerts are detected. This is due to a privacy setting on YouTube and cannot be 'fixed' inside Streamlabs.

By default, YouTube accounts have their subscriptions set to Private. This means if a someone subscribes to your channel, Streamlabs can't detect that subscription and thus won't alert you.

The subscriber (the person watching your live stream), would need to make the subscriptions Public before subscribing to your channel in order for Streamlabs to detect the event and alert you.

You can see this setting here: https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy

👉🏻 ** And remember that this setting on your account does not matter in this case.

The person clicking the subscribe button on your channel would need to first change this setting.

Changing it afterwards would not cause an alert. And an unsubscribe/resubscribe also will not trigger an alert.**

Sounds like you’re having issues with the resolution fields. The Base Resolution should be set to the same resolution as your monitor. The Output Resolution should be set to the resolution you want your stream.

This is also common: If you’ve logged in with TikTok, the Output Resolution is forced in Portrait due the requirements of TikTok. If you’re now streaming to another platform, you’d have to go to Settings > Video and swap the values in the Output Resolution field.

Hi, happy New Years. I just have a question. When I'm streaming the stream will sometimes disconnect. I usually have an upload of 160 Mbps and download of 20 Mbps. I was just wondering if lowering bitrate and FPS would help with the issue?

In order to stream on Facebook at 1080p, you must be part of their Level Up program https://www.facebook.com/fbgaminghome/creators/levelup.

Facebook Level program allows 1080p at 60FPS and a max bitrate of 9000kbps.

If you're not part of the Level Up program, Facebook allows up to 1280x720 at 30FPS and a max bitrate of 4000kbps.

So either way, you need to adjust your bitrate.

Also you audio bitrate is a bit strange and may be contributing to the problem. Please set your audio bitrate to 160.

Are you streaming to Twitch? If so, then follow the instructions in the next post. Be sure to use Medium or Long Duration and select many, not just one, of the ingests in your area.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Yeah, those quality numbers are bad. You’ll need to reach out your ISP. Tell them you are live streaming to Twitch and are experiencing disconnections. Be persistent as some folks hear streaming and think you’re trying to watch Netflix. You might need to explain live streaming.

Wow ok so... is my computer corrupted or my streaming softwares are? not even the customer support via email has been able to figure out why is it that my game sound just wont work?

also, camera is flaky too, sometimes it works and then it just wont. I also have problems with some game capture when i switch between different games.

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.
2. Search for "default apps". It may be different in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
3. Find the default apps section and close Streamlabs Desktop

If your current default web browser is Chrome, change it to MIcrosoft Edge or Firefox. If your default web browser is already Microsoft Edge or Firefox, switch it to either Microsoft Edge or Firefox (just want to ensure its a different selection).

Streamlabs Desktop cannot be selected as its not a web browser. 😉

Some games can't be captured with Game Capture. You can try the different Modes in the Game Capture properties.

Also try unchecking Capture third-party overlays (such as Steam) and see if that helps.

Yes, Cloudbot works with Twitch.

Follow the directions on the Cloudbot page and make sure you enter the command /mod streamlabs in your Twitch Chat and that Cloudbot is toggled on.

Also make sure that streamlabs isn't banned on your channel so I'd enter /unban streamlabs just to make sure.

If you're logged in the Streamlabs web site with your YouTube, you can quickly switch over to your Twitch by clicking your PFP in the upper right, click where it says YouTube, then click Twitch.

Having issues with my router and twitch streaming. Getting dropped frames over 80% of the time-- unwatchable. It works flawlessly when connected to my modem directly, but my router is the root of the cause. It worked fine until like 4 days ago. What ports do I need to open in port forwarding? Log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP and choose Log out; you must do this on every device you access the web site. If you use the standalone Streamlabels app, log out of Streamlabels and quit it. If you use Streamlabs Desktop, log out there and quit it. Over you’ve logged out of everything Streamlabs, navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your new Twitch name. Then your Tip URL will update. If it doesn’t update, then you probably missed logging out of something Streamlabs.

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

I am fairly new to the world of streaming and could really use expertise. I've been using StreamLabs to broadcast my Dungeons & Dragons sessions and loving how user-friendly it is.

However, I've encountered an issue that I'm struggling to rectify on my own. I've been utilizing the CollabCam feature for my players to join in, which works wonderfully, but I've noticed that my webcam audio is significantly louder than the audio from my players' CollabCam. This imbalance is creating a less-than-ideal viewer experience, as it can be hard to hear the players over my voice.

It's fine when we're playing, so I'm unsure where to start or what exactly needs adjusting.

Could anyone provide guidance on how to achieve a more balanced audio output? I believe it may involve the audio mixer, but I'm not certain about how to use this feature most effectively.

You could either lower your mic volume in the mixer (to be more in line but that will take some testing which you could do with recording as you adjust and play it back to yourself with your players). Or you could add gain filters maybe to your collab cam sources to bring your player's voices up to yours

So most likely you made your alert as a variation. Delete that and then remake it at the top where the waving hand is

Hi there! The authorization code will actually be found in the authenticator mobile application that you used during the initial set-up, rather than the code coming to you by email or text. This would be an app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc.

Hi - Been searching for this issue all over - but can't find answers anywhere. Running a chat with someone else using Collab Cam. They are able to connect to my StreamLabs session. Their audio is perfect but their video - while very clear - constantly freezes. They and I are on a strong Internet connection with plenty of bandwidth. I've also connected to the same Collab Cam using my iPhone on the local network and see the same issues. Just constantly freezing the screen. It will come back after 5 seconds or so - be "live" for a few seconds and then freeze again. This is only the Collab Cam session. The rest of the performance of StreamLabs is great and the streaming via YouTube works perfectly.
This is Streamlabs desktop for Mac v1.14 and I'm running on a Mac Mini M1 with 16 gig memory. CPU never gets above 15% during the session.

The only other way other than changing resolution really is to resize the capture, but it's just going to cut off parts of the capture at that point. I personally just put up with it.

Hello, I have been streaming on streamlabs for a while now but suddenly, my game capture gets randomly blurry. It's so weird because it's not pixelated like an internet issue, it's BLURRY. I noted my webcam is blurry in the background too. I am in focus because i am in the foreground but my background is blurred. Clear your Desktop browser cache to ensure it’s not the widget causing this.

For Streamlabs Desktop:

1. Close Streamlabs Desktop
2. Hit windows key + R
3. Paste this and hit enter %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser
4. Delete the cache folder
5. Startup Streamlabs Desktop again

For OBS Studio:

1. Close OBS Studio
2. Hit windows key + R

When someone gets a chance I have a pretty vexing issue…

I currently use streamlabs desktop on my MacBook Pro 14”

I recently got a Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor.

I also use an Elgato HD60 S+ to stream my games and I play on an Xbox series X.

I used to use a basic 24” HP monitor and everything worked fine.

Now that have a monitor that supports 4kUHD at 144hz it seems that some games have stopped working when I attempt to stream them. Call of duty and cyberpunk seem to work fine but when I turn in assassin’s creed mirage the entire screen goes blank in stream labs. When I back out of the game and go into any menus on the Xbox, SLD works fine again… but as soon as I go back into the game it stops working again. I noticed when I turn on freesync the game starts working but then both the monitor and the stream start to turn off and on randomly. (I will provide a video for context) I’m wondering if there are any settings I need to turn on in SLD or if anyone know of any settings on the monitor or Xbox I can turn on or off to alleviate this issue… I will send screen shots and a video here in a moment

Log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP and choose Log out; you must do this on every device you access the web site. If you use the standalone Streamlabels app, log out of Streamlabels and quit it. If you use Streamlabs Desktop, log out there and quit it. If you use OBS Studio and have any docks using the Streamlabs web site, log out there as well.
Over you’ve logged out of everything Streamlabs, navigate back to the Streamlabs web site and log in with your new Twitch name. Then your Tip URL will update. If it doesn’t update, then you probably missed logging out of something Streamlabs.

I did apply sound alerts to my stream recently, but it's a completely different url that you have to paste so I don't think that would interfere with it

hey, can anyone help me? I'm trying to stream from my xbox using streamlabs console website but when I select streamlabs as the destination in the settings and then click on start streaming it says "you need to link a subscription to your account to use the selected broadcast destination" I have my twitch account registered in both xbox and streamlabs console website so I don't know why it doesn't let me stream

Was wondering if anybody has come across a similar bug....I'm using Streamlabs Desktop app and after clicking "End Stream" the recording timer restarts back from 0 and continues to function as if it were recording. No additional files appear in my folder so I don't think it is actually recording/functioning after I end stream. "Start Stream" does appear so thats normal. The "Stop Recording" button doesn't seem to function at all when i click it despite it showing it is recording and the timer continues. Anybody else encounter this or have a reason why this could be happening?

Hi guys, I use streamlabs donation link but lately I've had paypal hold 3 donations in 3 separate days

I think it depends on what the donator is using to pay, ive had it held before as paypal needs to make sure the funds are there first but then its released a few days later, not sure if that is your issue too, but i think paypal message next to the trasaction in paypal would actually say a reason from memory [if this is the same issue] or maybe their bank flagged it as suspicious if its from the same person and not their normal spending habbit]

Paypal asks me to either refund the money to avoid chargebacks or to send a response to clarify the situation

It would be a paypal issue i'd assume, could they have disputed the charges? i have heard some people like to dono then charge back which is a big problem.
I do recall having an issue with it being in a diff currency in the past but then i just changed it to accept all currencies. I'd prob send a response to clarify the situation it's a weird one, im also no expert and not qualified to answer, just passing on a similar issue I had

I'm aware of the charge back issue but I don't think it's my case because it would make no sense that 3 people decide to do it in a row when it never happened before. I've also had the different currency problem but that's a Paypal problem, Streamlabs has nothing to do with that. I did send a response to these payment problems but the main thing is that I don't want it to happen again

Also I've had several viewers that for some reason cannot use the Streamlabs donation link so I also use a direct payment link that doesn't trigger an alert

After this problem, I will completely remove the SL donation link, it causes too many troubles already, at least for me.

Hello everyone.

Been searching online bit can't find a definitive answer sorry.

Goal: To have discord chat audio going to stream with non copyrite music playing on stream and using my headphones as output to listen to my own music and discord chat.

Currently I have it all set up to work but obviously on my twitch stream I'm getting discord audio as well as the music I'm listening going through and don't want this to be heard as the stream has its own non copywriter music

So is it possible to split this using the tracks or is it not possible please?

Any help much appreciated and hope this makes sense.

try closing Streamlabs Desktop and then checking your task manager for any background applications of Streamlabs Desktop or obs64. if you see any, end task on all of those, then relaunch Streamlabs Desktop and try again

Then you would need to reach out to PayPal. If you see it in your tip history, then it's not a Streamlabs thing. The only thing Streamlabs does is get an API from PayPal. The actual processing and transfer of funds is directly through PayPal itself

most likely they have scammed people (like chargebacks) and so SL has blocked them that's something you should probably email the payments team (https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and ask but that would be my assumption
