This is a common issue with Kick. Make sure your Output Resolution is 1920x1080 or less, that your bitrate does not exceed 8000, and that before you go live that you set the stream title and category on your Kick dashboard.

Already tried everything, restarting pc, my router, starting streamlabs as administrator, lowered bitrate, check internet speed and its good, disabled and reenabled the LAN adapter, changed the server to one with good ping/bitrate after running tests on which ones are best for my stream, and even closed everything in the background, only the stream was running with a black screen and still the bitrate and frames dropping

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

running twitchtest doesn't solve anything, it only measures throughput to a given list of twitch ingest servers

take note of the exact dates and times when upload speed drops, then call your isp and tell them you're trying to livestream and upload speed dropped at these dates and times; if they refure to help, try a different isp; don't forget you can also complain to your government's equivalent of the american FCC

If you are logged in with TikTok, it will force the output resolution to be in portrait format. You would need to log in with another platform you have merged in your Streamlabs account, like Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, or Trovo.

Then you would go to Settings > Video and swap the values on the Output Resolution field.

Sorry, another question. So certain games Streamlabs doesn't seem to grab when I play them on Steam. Is there a way to figure out why some it displays and others it won't? For example, Chrono Trigger or some other smaller games it won't show it on Twitch, like the background is black but I can hear the audio so it's odd. Most games is fine, just that one and a few others

They are saved in the cloud. Upon installation on Streamlabs Desktop on a new PC, just log into the same account and your Scene Collections will be restored. Note that other settings like base and output resolution, bitrate, audio settings, filters, etc, aren’t saved I the cloud so please be sure to screen shot those and save the screen shots so you can set it back up.

Possible that you have the alert box sounds muted. Go here https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents and look at the icons at the top right. If you see a red speaker icon with a slash through it, your alert box sounds are muted. Click that red speaker to unmute them.

When multistreaming, the quality of my streams are lowered. When streaming to Twitch, YouTube, and Kick, their qualities are lowered from 1080p60 to 720p60, 360p, and 720p60 respectively. Another stream with only Twitch and Kick, both qualities were at 720p60. The VODs on all platforms have 1080p60 available.

I am unsure as to what the cause of this is. When I use OBS Studio, the quality remains at 1080p60 on all platforms.

if you kept the old installer, you could try reinstalling that, but settings and scene collections might break in doing so, and you'd have to block connections to streamlabs' servers so the updater doesn't work; it'd be easier to use obs-studio for now, since its updates are manual, 27.2.4 is the last version to work on windows 7

Hoping someone here can help me because I am lost even after watching many tutorials on how to separate audio in your twitch vods, some want me to download a few programs and that nearly messed up my computer (I'm not tech savvy at all) and even simple ones by using the Application Audio Capture Beta and there is no audio coming through on the mixer. @sick hollowin this screenshot, it looks like you kept the "music" source enabled for the twitch VOD track, i'd assume you wanted the exact opposite, so untick track 6 on the "music" source and tick it for the other two sources; the VOD track should be enabled in settings>output, otherwise it will have no effect

Hello fellow streamers. I have a question. I see some people are saying that the Base (Canvas) resolution should be the same as your monitor, and I have a 2560x1440 monitor. The Output is set to 1920x1080 as recommended. However, I also hear other people say that the Base should match the Output, for example, the Base should be set to 1080, and the Output the same. So, I am a little confused about what is correct. I also feel my game is lagging more when I change the Base from 1080 to 2560. Any ideas? Thanks 🙏

@daring oriole this is why sld has a button that disables the preview, i think it's still called "performance mode"; copying entire frames through IPC is needlessly high overhead
as to whether it's better to compose at 1440 or 1080: a 1440p canvas lets you record native 1440p while streaming 1080p using the "rescale output" setting in advanced output mode, while a 1080p canvas lets you place sources pixel-perfectly and change scaling per-source; it might also have lower IPC overhead, check windows kernel cpu usage with the preview enabled

1. you could still try contacting support through a ticket, but then you'd have to produce crash dumps yourself by running task manager on the Details tab, right-clicking "streamlabs desktop.exe" and "obs64.exe" and choosing "create dump file"

2. you could remove all of sld's settings from %appdata%

Hello Streamlabs and Goodmorning, I was having an issue where I just recently purchased the ultra edition of Streamlabs for $19 a month and I’m trying to stream from my Xbox console, but when I choose the “go live” option on the Xbox, it stays “you need to link a subscription to your account to use the selected broadcast destination” I’m not sure how to connect it/ make it work but I really want Streamlabs to work/ I love this site. Any suggestions? Thankyou. [ Back in the day it did work and was connected now all of a sudden when I pay for ultra it’s not connected I don’t understand 😦 ]

Appreciate ya, if anyone has the same problem as me feel free to pm me, and I had the CORRECT ID on Twitch and the correct I’d on Streamlabs I just didn’t know that you didn’t need your console email, because your console email is associated with your twitch, so if you just put it the same email as your twitch instead of Xbox it connects! 🙂

So on the Streamlabs console area I was using my Xbox email, USE YOUR TWITCH EMAIL

Hello all, I am attempting to switch from twitch to youtube and when i go to select my desktop audio when signed into youtube my "Wave Link Stream" audio isn't an option to select, but when i switch to my twitch account is it there to select. any reason why it isn't showing up when i am signed into my youtube account?

Everytime I try to record a game my OBS keeps giving "errors" saying "FPS DROP" and my entire OBS is freezing up while my game is perfectly playable at 200+ FPS. Result text not appeaing after test spinning the wheel: i've added a spin wheel into streamlabs thru a browser source the only problem im having is the result text isnt coming up underneath the spin wheel. THE FIX if one day anyone has the same issue: after setting it all up thru the browser source i deleted it and added it as a source thru streamlabs its self and it took the existing info from browser source and used it for the steamlabs source.

Streamlabs Desktop stopped working for me after the latest windows update. I am not sure that is what caused the issue, however it is the only thing I can pinpoint back to at the moment. The client just takes an awfully long time to load and after a while it just throws un unexpected error.

I have tried uninstalling and clearing cache.

This always happens after I try to relog.

Anyone else experiencing this and how can that be solved.

Please log out of the Streamlabs web site by clicking your PFP in the upper right corner and choose Log out. The clear the cache in your web browser, restart the web browser (don’t just open a new window or tab), and then log back in to the web site. I would also relog in Streamlabs Desktop.

Is there a way to manually backup my Streamlabs to the cloud? I'm about to uninstall it and I've always had "do not back up my media files to the cloud" checked so I need to do a manual backup.

There’s not a manual method to force it. Just launch Streamlabs Desktop, uncheck that option and let it sit a few minutes then quit it. I would then wait a few minutes and launch again and let it sit there again before quitting.

Streamlabs Desktop opens up fine and dandy if I choose not to connect to: streamlabs account, twitch

The only account I have managed to connect on the app is my TikTok account, which is the only one that does not cause the infinite loading.
I have tried all the software / crash related advice existent.

Logout in Streamlabs Desktop then please follow these steps:

2. Once logged in with your Twitch account, click the Live Actions tab, scroll to the bottom, and click the Reload Widgets button.
3. Then go back to the Recent Events tab https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/recentevents
4. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log back in with your Twitch account.

All this won't go back and capture any missed Follows so you'll have to wait for a new follow. I can follow you as a test.

Streamlabs Console is a paid subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

I don’t see that your Discord profile has the Ultra role. I would remove the Discord integration, log out of and quit Discord, log out of the Streamlabs web site and restart the web browser. The perform integration again then launch Discord and log back in.

Morning guys. I'm seeking help with colab cam. I'm trying to figure out how to send over my colabs game audio. The only fix I can find on YouTube is routing it through a mixer like voicemeter but it gives an audio lag which I can't stand when playing games.

Is there a way to route just the game capture video and audio solely via colab cam? The only options to send audio through colab cam is the mic.

I'm having some issues.. i didnt get that before..
i have a good pc, and i used to stream a lot with no issues
I even streamed heavy softwares like 3Ds Max or Revit together with no issues

recetly i started to get a lot of drop frames whenever i start streaming Valorant, once i start stream it goes from 230 fps all the way to 120 and to 90 sometimes

it only happens when i start stream
and its givng me a lot of headache, please i need help

But if you see your FPS in-game lowering, it means that your GPU is being overloaded. Also streaming with uncapped frames (I'm assuming since you said 230) with a single PC is not really a good idea. Espedially if you're using your GPU as your encoder it could be causing undue strain. You would typically want to cap your frames at a number divisible by 60 (since you're not at 240, you would want to do like 120, etc).

You would want to make sure that your GPU drivers are up to date (or better yet do a cleain install https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/clean-install-of-graphics-driver-tutorial ), running Streamlabs Desktop as admin (right click the shortcut > run as admin), and also reducing in game settings.

But if you need more help with it (and these suggestions didn't work) I would suggest submitting a ticket at https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

As someone who basically as the same computer as you, I still wouldn't stream uncapped. But if you aren't willing to try what I suggested to start then you'll just have the same issue. And you can't just run as admin like as your comptuer, you have to manually click on it > run as admin. This tells your GPU to unlock extra "space" for encoding purposes only (what people call the "OBS GPU fix".)

1. Streamlabs for the specific availability of the encoding part of the GPU.
2. yes, by right clicking the shortcut > run as admin

but also a clean install (as I said prior) is better to do every once in a while than just regular updates as it ensures that any installs that have lingering files that aren't in use are wiped as well (making your computer more efficient).

Finally, capping frames is a must when you stream and play. I would tell someone with a 40 series to cap their frames as well (probably at a higher framerate, but typically to match their monitor or be divisible by 60)

In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings -> Advanced -> Network -> Bind to IP and choose the IP address of you computer in the drop down menu, typically begins wtih 192.168 or 10.10 . Then save the settings and try again.

@oak cloud I just tried now streaming and playing valo + running them as admin manually + Capping the fps at 240 + Changing the Thermal paste + Deep clean for the pc from any dust ( wasnt that bad but the Graphics card had a lot of dust on it ) it made a lot of difference..

i will do also the clean installition for the GPU drivers to make sure everything is clean too

If the game has the option, I would cap the FPS in game to the same value you have set in Streamlabs Desktop. And if your monitors have this capability, I would set the refresh rate to a multiple of 60, so 60, 120, 180, etc. You want the refresh rate, in game FPS, and FPS in Streamlabs Desktop to divide evenly by 60. This reduced the workload on your GPU.

Okay, try this:

Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
Go to the Windows Device Manager, find the Web Cam and remove the device there and then unplug it from the PC.
Reboot the PC.
Once the PC is fully back up, plug the Web Cam back in and let Windows detect it and set it up.
Launch Streamlabs Desktop and see if anything has changed.
