If Streamlabs Desktop is running, quit it. Then change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox. Then try and merge your YouTube account.

But remember, that Streamlabs needs at least 8 gb of ram. Then whatever other games or programs you're running. Soooo if you have 16 gb of ram (like me >.<) and you're running a game that requires 4 gb of ram, that literally 12 gb being used for the most part right there. So then that only gives you 4 gb of ram for the rest of everything else on your computer. >.> I am starting to think that is what my issue is. 😦

I'm a console Streamer and I have never had an issue before. Now I have become affiliate and my cloudbot has stopped doing alerts in the chat. Especially for new followers. I rely on this to communicate a thankyou to my followers. I have unmerged and remarked my twitch, and that erased cloudbot and all alert options from my menus until I referred my yourube and fb as well. A lot of weirdness.

Hey good morning everyone I’ve been having issues with my stream labs lately it’s not letting me use screen capture or window capture for a reaction stream or video. When I have my windows open and even TikTok on my computer and I go on screen or window capture to try and look for it I don’t see those windows that I have open. I’ve tried looking for videos to help but there’s only videos on black screen fix and not the issue I’m having it’s very stressful because I haven’t done a reaction stream in about a week plus because of this issue please if anyone knows a way to fix this let me know please

So for the past few streams tried to streaming Hunt: Showdown. But within the hour, Stremlabs freezes and have to go into task manager to close it out.

i have been dealing with an issue of cloudbot posting four times when I enter commands into twitch chat. Adding a 30 second timeout on individual commands has gotten me down to two chat posts, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what's causing it. At my wit's end! Currently disconnecting and reconnecting every possible service or software I use during stream to figure out the culprit. Any suggestions would be great appreciated. 😓

@tall crystal We would suggest logging out of Streamlabs and all Streamlabs software that you may be using.
Go here: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections then find Streamlabs (Twitch Alerts) & click Disconnect. Then clear your web browsers cookies & cache files, & log into Streamlabs.com and all Streamlabs software that you may be using again.

Hello! I've been having issues with streamlabs and it's been driving me NUTS. Every time I input info for my stream and go live I get told there's an error, but the screen goes away before I can read what's wrong. I'll update the stream title and change what game I'm playing on streamlabs, but when I check my stream on twitch it hasn't changed at all. So, I'm torn here. I have factory reset my laptop. Right back to how I got it out of the box when I bought it in March.

Do I install OBS Studio and try to use THAT for streaming (I know trying to set it up will stress me out because it was before). Or do I take the chance of Streamlabs causing issues again and crashing all the time with my NVIDIA again. Which is why I factory reset my laptop in the first place. 😦

For some odd reason my Recent Events does not update for new followers and the alert for it is not working, I have tried, logging in and out and re-authorizing and reconnecting Streamlabs on Twitch, I even tried the Streamlabels solution which uses text files, but nothing seem to work. My subscription and sub alert seems to work fine however. I wonder if anyone had the same Issue and was able to fix it?

Please try this:

  1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
  2. Click this link: https://streamlabs.com/logout.
  3. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.

If that does not work, please quit Streamlabs Desktop and then go into your Windows Settings and change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox (if you have it installed) and try again.

If switching the default web browser to Edge or Firefox doesn't work, then make sure that Streamlabs Desktop is not running and switch the default web browser to something else then switch back to Edge or Firefox and try again.

I would make sure that you don’t have any Windows updates that need to be installed. Would then change your default web browser to something else, reboot, change your default web browser back to Edge, reboot again, and then try to log in.

I would then download a fresh installer from the Streamlabs web site and run the installer as administrator. Let it install over your existing installation. Once the installer is finished, don’t let it launch Steamlabs Desktop. Then quit the installer, reboot your PC, and then once your PC is back up, launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and try again.

Hello! Lately Ive been having stream crashes, where my stream will freeze on both streamlabs and twitch. I then cannot close the program unless I go into task manager and close every version of streamlabs. I thought it might have just bit a one-off fluke, but this happened four times on my last stream.

Only other thing I can suggest is resetting your stream key on Kick and then after waiting five minutes, update it in Streamlabs Desktop and try again. This issue with Kick is very common and there is no real fix sadly.

  1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
  2. Click this link: https://streamlabs.com/logout.
  3. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.

If that does not work, please quit Streamlabs Desktop and then go into your Windows Settings and change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox (if you have it installed) and try again.

If switching the default web browser to Edge or Firefox doesn't work, then make sure that Streamlabs Desktop is not running and switch the default web browser to something else then switch back to Edge or Firefox and try again.

Hello folks so I'm having a issue with streamlabs Console. I'm Farley new to streaming with Console so... anyway. I have a live stream that came out with one half where the game audio was fine and the rest well static. My Xbox resolution and bit rate for streaming is set to 1080p - 4000kbps. However settings in Streamlabs Console is at 1080p - 30FPS. Hope I'm not missing anything.

This is one of the reason that I NEVER have used this. I find that more people are getting copy right striked. I stream a lot of synthwave. Go to spotify, and search StreamBeats EDM, StreamBeats Synthwave, StreamBeats Rock.. it's generic, but really great music. I NEVER have gotten a copyright strike or anything of the sort. Also, A LOT of synthwave artists like Gunship, The Midnight, TimeCop1983, FM-84 and many others are DMCA free and you won't get dinged for using them. I use them all the time. Mind you, I spent a LOT of time researching artists that are DMCA free. I hope this helps. 🙂

Hi, guys. I have an issue with Nvidia Broadcast generating unbearable noise in Streamlabs OBS.

As far as I could tell, Streamlabs OBS is the only software heavily and constantly affected by unusable loud blaring noise coming from the NVidia Broadcast source. Classic OBS has issues 30% of the time (after opening and closing the app, the issue seems to disappear in 2 out of 3 opens). Streamlabs OBS is affected 90% of the time (so only after 10 or so closing and restarting the app does the sound work OK from NVidia Broadcast). It's clearly a pure software issue, and I'm unsure whether Streamlabs is to blame or not, but only these two OBS-based software have this problem, all others using the microphone work well from the start.

This seems to have been introduced about a week ago, either after a Windows update or an NVidia drivers update. My last YouTube live took me by surprise and features this issue heavily (I can send you the YouTube link if anyone would like to hear the issue at hand). I ended up changing the audio source to the microphone directly after fumbling with the settings a bit. But the combination Streamlabs + NVidia Broadcast is clearly problematic, and I hope someone can get to the bottom of this.

Here are my specs:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT
  • Mainboard: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra
  • RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64GB DDR4 3600MHz CL16 1.35v Quad Channel Kit

I have a question about stream tags if anyone can help alleviate some confusion here, I'd appreciate it.

So when I go live using streamlabs it will show me my tags, category, and stream title and ask me to confirm them before going live.

Simple enough, the confusing part is that the tags aren't the same as my tags on Twitch. I also can't edit the tags on Streamlabs without going live (since my options are to go live or cancel, and cancelling doesn't save the changes)

So I guess I'm wondering which set of tags my stream is actually using, the ones from twitch or from streamlabs? And if possible, is there a way to edit the stremlabs tags without going live? Not a huge deal, it's just a little annoying to have to remember to update the tags before I go live if I've changed them recently. I'd much rather update them on my own time and not have to worry about remembering it the next time I go live.

heyo, quick question, i just did an overlay for a friend and im logged into her streamlabs account, but unlike the last time ive done this with someone, her streamlabs isnt showing the sources and scenes i created from the cloud, is there something ive messed up? In some games (Starfield atm), when I'm streaming it (max configs), it goes that the game runs smoothly, no lags, no frame drops, but my monitor bars in SLOBS (desktop audio, spotify) ALWAYS gets laggy!

I made a poll awhile back never really used it, but there is no option for me to delete it and keeps automatically coming back up as an active poll when I close it. i know this is super late, i have this server muted and honestly only look at it when i need help too LUL but if you select all the sources you're wanting to move about you can right click on it and go to group and either group as folder in which you can copy and paste in the other scene, or group as scene, in which you make a whole scene of just those things then you can insert that scene into others as well

I use TouchPortal to control all SL Desktop and other aspects of my stream and have been doing so for more than a year. Last Sunday during service, I lost all control to SL Desktop via TouchPortal. The log has 106 identical messages stating "<time> - [LOG] (Streamlabs Desktop) Incoming communication: {"id":null,"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-32603,"message":"INTERNAL_JSON_RPC_ERROR API server is busy. Try again later"}}
First time message appeared was immediately after going to "Studio Mode".
They also seem to be related to changing source visibilities between hidden and shown in various scenes. The messages stopped and control was restored when I finally selected a scene using the mouse in the SL Desktop window.

OBS lagged after 4 to 4.5hrs, has done this since the update, never any issue before, 6 hours or so it wasn't letting me change scenes or show/hide elements in the sources list, 7hrs in the software completely disappeared but stream somehow still running in background, just can't see the software any more 😄

Okay, I would reboot your PC if you haven’t rebooted in a while. Then I would download a fresh Streamlabs Desktop installer from our web site and run the installer as administrator and let it install over your existing installation - no need to uninstall first. At the end of the installer, don’t let it launch Streamlabs Desktop, rather just quit the installer and reboot your PC again. Then I would perform a clean install of your GPU drivers (see next post from the bot).

Well I need help with it taking less ram. It also takes away fps. It takes around 1.5 GB of ram which shouldn't happen. It also averages 15 frames on streams.

I'd say the best thing you can do is cut down on as many active sources you have running as possible—be that putting them into different Scenes or just outright deleting any excess you might have. Also closing any unneeded programs you have running in the background.

If not via the few settings you can use to lower your quality in favour of freeing up some processing power on your device, I'd say that is your best bet.

Hi there! 👋 Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the end platform will resolve this. Please follow exactly all the steps in this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account Including the log outs.

👉🏻 NOTE This will not go back and capture any events that were missed. You'll need a new event (new follow on Twitch, new subscriber on YouTube, etc) as verification. I can follow on Twitch or subscribe on YouTube for verification if you like. An unfollow/refollow or unsubscribe/resubscribe won't trigger a new alert.

Also note the guide has sections for the 4 platforms we have full integration with, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Trovo. So only follow the section for the platform you're using. Also note you must not be live when you follow this guide. So if your live, end the stream first.

I am a newbie streamer and need some help. I play on a PS5 and use an El Gato HD 60S capture card to "manage" everything on my laptop and have a fancier stream. If you mean not work in that missed events didn’t appear, that is correct. It won’t recover events that were missed. Once it’s sent over the API, that’s it. It’s never sent again.

Followed teh FAQ regarding is Streamlabs goes offline but can't find a working solution today. Friday the streamlabs raffle Module was working. Today its not, it defaults back to the standard command for raffle which is the 30 second one rather than the module which is configurable. Any clue as to why it would do that?

Did they remove the option to rescale stream output? It's nowhere to be found in my SLOBS. You used to be able to stream at 720p and record at 1080p, but now it seems that's not possible? I need some help... I've been streaming for years and never had any issues. This past year when I do art (adobe - mainly after effects, blender, unreal engine) and when I use my custom made overlays.... My stream drops frames and out right freezes. Just this past year and a half, I know my graphics card may need to be updated to a better version... but as I said I did it for years prior.

Hardware is:

Settings:
Output-> Bitrate 2500, Software x264,Keyframe =2

Hi there! I asked a while ago about my stramlabs mini-feed not updating. My widgets work fine when I test them. I've tried logging in and out of streamlabs, uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as the advice I got last time, Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the end platform.
I've had a few new followers since then but nothing has shown up on my mini-feed or notifications.

Hello! Wondering if anyone can help me. I just recently got an iMac, and I am trying to use Streamlabs on it. It is a Mac with an intel processer. It is not letting me cahnge the device for the desktop audio and is stuck on disabled. My microphone is plugged in, and the sound settings are all configured correctly, just not sure what else to do. I can't get my Desktop Audio to work

macOS does not have "desktop audio" capture the way we know it on Windows. To accomplish this, you will need third party software such as Blackhole or Loopback (costs $99)

_ Loopback: must choose "mix/aux" device. Cannot choose "desktop audio"

Please try this:

  1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
  2. Click this link: https://streamlabs.com/logout.
  3. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.

If that does not work, please quit Streamlabs Desktop and then go into your Windows Settings and change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox (if you have it installed) and try again.

If switching the default web browser to Edge or Firefox doesn't work, then make sure that Streamlabs Desktop is not running and switch the default web browser to something else then switch back to Edge or Firefox and try again.

Hey, So I was using streamlabs alert api v1 and everything was going smooth now after the switch to v2 and following all the steps I am getting unauthorized error when I send alert using my token? does the app needs to be approved first before the alerts work? Imo it should work even in testing phase. Does anyone have any idea or can help me?

Hi, is there a way to copy an alert box and all its custom files to a different YouTube channel? For example, I have my "main" YouTube channel with custom alerts for new subscribers and channel members set up for when I stream live, but there are some streams I want to do directly to my "VODS" channel. I want the alert look and feel to be the same though.

Is there a say to copy the alert box between channels without having to download and manually change ever bit of media and every setting?

Dang. I would go through the disconnect service guide again then. Make sure first to log out of Streamlabs Desktop and quit it. Then log out of the Streamlabs web site on every device you access it. Then follow the guide. Then launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in with your Twitch. You’ll need another brand new follow to test since@I’ve already followed. An unfollow and refollow won’t trigger the alert.

I use PS Remote Play to capture PS4 games on my PC but I cannot capture the sound of the games during my lives (I use a headset connected to the PC to chat and the sound of my voice is captured correctly ). thanks for the help.

You can double check that it connected successfully by checking the connection on Twitch and it should say connected a few seconds ago.

Another thing to check is to go back to the Alert Box page and make sure that all events are selected.

For the reset to finalize, please do the following steps:

  1. Log into streamlabs.com with your Twitch account.
  2. Go to https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
  3. Click the Launch button beside your Widget URL.
  4. Leave the launched window open for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  5. Your next follow, sub, or bit should be captured going forward. 
     
    These steps will not restore missed events but will refresh the connection to capture new ones.

Yes, commands work fine. On youtube it's alittle weird cause it takes some time. Like if i type "!gamble" sometimes takes minutes for the respond (not beeing on cooldown)

Ok, i see. It's still very annoying to send points once in a while, and to do it on 2 platforms so none of the 100 viewers to get upset. If you find a fix or why is that happening please let me know. At this point i will work with it like that.. even if its sucks.
