I can't get my Desktop Audio to work

macOS does not have "desktop audio" capture the way we know it on Windows. To accomplish this, you will need third party software such as Blackhole or Loopback (costs $99)

_ Loopback: must choose "mix/aux" device. Cannot choose "desktop audio"

I have 2 questions, I was wondering how I add the Streamlabs bot to my stream? On mobile, and I been seeing others have it in their stream but I’m unsure of how to add it, and I was wondering how I add a Image, because when I try to add a image I press on it and try to press the “add an image.” Button, and when i press it, the button does nothing.

i think that was always like that, the new name doesn't change that but if you want to have the two accounts connected you can use streamlabs id, that's really only useful if you have an ultra subscription tho

log in with streamlabs and log in with streamlabs id is different. it's kind of confusing but if you want to have everything under the same account just log in to your streamlabs account and in the account settings set up Streamlabs id then on the new willow url log in to your usual willow account and there link streamlabs id (the same one you used in your streamlabs account) that will connect the two 👍

I have a question. I tried the free trial of the console version of streamlabs cause it sounded right up my alley and unfortunately it was a mess. The sound is choppy for viewers and having a headset plugged into a controller makes it 1000 times worse. I adjusted the output quality multiple times and tried a bunch of different things. The solution came to be opening up the streamlabs console dashboard on my laptop and having it use my webcam, only way i was able to add a microphone that wasnt just trash. Doing so meant i could no longer hear the game or anything and was just talking to myself which is confusing. The thing is, the Xbox app for desktop can already stream the console, and i can use that and put it into Desktop Streamlabs which is wayyyy better (and doesn't need a seperate subscription) so whats the point of the console version? What am i missing? This isn't meant to be a rude post i do love streamlabs, just couldn't get the thing to work right and it was beyond frustrating.

If switching the default web browser to Edge or Firefox doesn't work, then make sure that Streamlabs Desktop is not running and switch the default web browser to something else then switch back to Edge or Firefox and try again.

Make sure you’ve added the browser source in the scene where you want to hear the sound alerts. If you have there, then go into the Properties and tick the refresh page when scene becomes active option. If you don’t have the browser source, you’ll need to add it per the instructions on the extension.

Hello New to the Stream labs community. I have checked a couple other places on the Discord as well as independent research on this topic prior to asking here. (I may have missed it). But I have just started Dual Streaming to Twitch and Youtube and for about a week there has been no issues. My settings are 1920x1080 6k bit rate 60 FPS. The past 3 streams im dropping frames and my bit rate has gone as high as 24,000 and as low as 1,000. I have checked packet loss which is 0%, internet download speed is 900mb/s down and 40 mb/s upload. I've tried lowering the stream output down and bit rate according to the charts I've read on youtube, streamlabs and twitch. So I figured I would post my situation here to see if anyone has any suggestions I may have overlooked or missed. Thank you in advance

hi everyone! ive got an issue with streamlabs chatbot

i have everything linked as i should. my bot account, my twitch account- and yes, the usernames are correct. everything on streamlabs chatbot works as it should except for one thing: timed messages. i noticed that when i stream on streamlabs, chatbot will still say the stream is offline, yet the commands and the chat both work. im not sure what to do at this point. the true or false option has had no impact btw, ive tried with both options.

Streamlabs Console is a subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Behind the scenes I bet the bitrate is exceeding 6000. You’ll have to reduce your CQP to find the sweet point. Ideally I’d switch over to CBR. Only use CQP for recording.

Usually the mobile app allows you to stream at 1080p and higher in the settings. But it's now often just showing up to 720p. If I turn the phone (S21 ultra) off and on several times it sometimes allows above 720p again

probably need to have Ultra, seems like the free version of streamlabs is very restrictive and terrible. I've been waiting three days for a response to my tech support ticket about my audio issues and still am stuck using a different streaming software just for the Audio to work in my streams while I wait for these people to get back to me.

This would have been a huge benefit when streaming directly from console, I now see no use at all for Streamlabs Console. And need to find where I can cancel the 7 day free subscription.

yeah, thing is that streamlabs seems to really want to push people to pay for all the big benifits. I mean the service has a whole lot of really nice things, like helping you with creating and selling your own merchandise, but they really hurt you by doing so when your a new streamer trying to get started and do things in a way you like.

Their tech support seems to be the worst part of them though so far....

That's why I have been using OBS to stream instead. I may have to add all the special stuff manually myself and the software doesn't look as polished, but it's basically the same software, because Streamlabs is based off the opensource software that OBS is.

This way I at least can stream while I wait on Streamlab's response.

Hello, is there any way to skip alerts via a chat command? I am a moderator in a streamlabs dashboard, but as you can imagine its kind of awful to have to go to the streamlabs recent events dashboard, for every text to speech that needs to be skipped.

There’s currently no way to skip alerts via a chat command. Might be easier to enable Unlimited Alert Moderation Delay then you would an infinite amount of to approve alerts - they won’t automatically play.

UPDATE: Switching cloudbot off and on "fixes" it for 5 minutes, so not really a fix there, support.

Regarding parameters, when the sub is tagged as a gift, the chat alert changes "user.name" from the giftEE, to the giftER's name, so now I have to wonder the parameter for who got the sub.

Switching bot off and on still does a soft reset, but doesn't actually fix the issue,

When doing sub Chat Alerts, when it's set to GIFTED, then "user.name" becomes the person who Gifted it, and "gifter.name" becomes the person who received the gifted sub (logic)

So about as straightforward and functional as most Streamlabs things

Does the drone have an app for the video? You could use the Screen Capture in Streamlabs Mobile to capture that application whilst it in the foreground. Note that with iOS, while you are screen capturing, you can’t see any widgets. This is due to then way iOS is designed.

1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.

3. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.

If that does not work, please quit Streamlabs Desktop and then go into your Windows Settings and change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox (if you have it installed) and try again.

If switching the default web browser to Edge or Firefox doesn't work, then make sure that Streamlabs Desktop is not running and switch the default web browser to something else then switch back to Edge or Firefox and try again.

Does anyone have any idea as to why my sources are greyed out and not working? When I check my sound settings in Windows, my devices are working but I have no audio in Streamlabs at all. I dont really know where to ask about this, but I want to start screen sharing my gameplay of playstation and switch games to my friends on discord, and I know I will need a capture card but I am trying to find the way that adds the lowest latency without being absurdly expensive. The video quality doesnt need to be amazing, I just am trying to avoid input lag as much as possible, and not spending a crazy amount of money. My first thought was getting a capture card and an hdmi splitter, where one output goes directly to my monitor, and the other goes through the capture card and into my pc, is this a viable option? or is there a better way to go about it?

Hi..I feel like this has an obvious solution but I just cannot figure it out. My monitor is 3440x1440, I am streaming the full screen (game). I set canvas to 3440x1440 and set output to 2580x1080 (Same aspect ratio, but scaled down). For some reason when people tune in they see it compressed into a 1080p canvas. Why doesnt it just have black bars at the top/bottom since the feed is 21:9?

Hi all, looking for a bit of clarity on Streamlabs Twitch integration, namely the Loyalty integration... I've noticed there's a dashboard/loyalty section, and a dashboard/cloudbot/loyalty section, I'm assuming the non-cloudbot section is an older implementation that was replaced by Cloudbot?
And in the same vein, that the Streamlabs extension on Twitch was replaced by Cloudbot? Is that a correct assumption?

Hello Streamlabs. Firstly, great product. I am using it for Twitch. Is there a way of deleting the Desktop Audio sound when a video is saved on a Twitch channel. I have just done a live stream on Twitch, when the video saved to my Twitch channel there were gaps with no sound because of my music. (Copyright). I have seen other streams saved there videos and have the music deleted. I believe you have to this with Twitch Studio but i am not sure if i can run StreamLabs and Twitch Studio at the same time. Any suggestions?

My team has been using Melon for months with no issue - we tried streaming last week, and we only realized after that after a 30 minute stream, only 3m 54s of our banner streamed to all of our destinations.
We've never had this issue before. Not sure what happened.
We have another stream at 1pm today - any ideas what we could do different?
Also, when I try to download the full recording of a stream - in the 'Past Broadcasts & Recordings' section, it shows the full video time of 29m 53s - but when I download, it's only the 3m 54s. Thanks!

Is anyone having issues when streaming to twitch? Streamlabs shows me streaming and online/connected to twitch. When I go to twitch, it shows me live in the bubble and when you click on me, it shows me offline but is still tracking my stream. Shows that it has been up for x amount of time and then you can view that specific recorded bit of stream without issues....but it's not showing as me being online at all and doesn't show the live view of my stream either.

Because there is a security setting on YouTube that is enabled by default that keeps your subscriptions private. When someone with this setting enabled, Streamlabs can’t detect the subscription. And thus the difference.

Hey guys, I have a question so I went live, and I pulled up my live on twitch, and it was a black screen, and I did this for my friends as well whenever they pulled up my stream so I ended the stream and whenever I did, the vored had the gameplay and you could see it perfectly fine so I went live again and I could see it for a minute or two and then I refresh my Twitch on my phone, which I’m streaming from my desktop and then it broke again. I would log out and log back in with your Streamlabs ID. If that doesn't work, you should have a special channel to chat in since you have Ultra

Am I able to buy a hardware encoder, plug my camera into that and then that into my laptop to reduce the stress and keep decent HD quality?

{user.name} works fine for the name, I can get the months with {amount}, and I've been testing different phrases to try and get the resub message,

Thought {message} or {messageTemplate} might've worked, no luck so far

The messgae itself shows up in chat, but not the actual RESUB message

Would anyone happen to know the solution to this. During the streaming of R6 and Remnant II my streamlabs freezes everything excluding the preview window. So stream can hear and see everything perfectly fine, however I cannot, my chat, my audio, and my live time are all frozen on my end. They only resume and update when I alt tab off of the game. It is only these 2 games, and to make it even more weird; SLOBS only freezes up like this during actual gameplay. Meaning that during game cutscenes, intermissions, drone phase, pause menus, etc. It acts perfectly fine as if nothing is happening but as SOON as the game resumes it freezes all up again. Thank you! Note: I have a 2 monitor set up.

Streamlabs Console is a subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Hi all, I'm on MacOS, just updated to Ventura. I am trying to set up a SLOBS environment with multiple scenes, that can auto-switch after x no. seconds. I've set up hotkeys and they work when I manually press the keys on my keyboard. Great. I set up an automator script to automate the keypresses at the intervals I want. This does not trigger scene changes in SLOBS like it does when I press the physical keys on my keyboard. In every other application that I give focus to, the keypresses are working - For instance a text field in photoshop starts filling up with the hotkey characters, and a "note" in the notes app, also recieves the keypresses. It seems SLOBS simply doesn't want to aknowledge keypresses coming from an automator script. Has this been specifically disabled?

Note, even SLOBS is picking up keypresses, but not to activate my hotkeys on scene selection... if I add a new scene, I can see the keypresses being entered into the "name" field for the new scene, in the poup box.... Been trying to solve this for 2 days!

1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.
2. Click this link: https://streamlabs.com/logout.
3. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.

If that does not work, please quit Streamlabs Desktop and then go into your Windows Settings and change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox (if you have it installed) and try again.

If switching the default web browser to Edge or Firefox doesn't work, then make sure that Streamlabs Desktop is not running and switch the default web browser to something else then switch back to Edge or Firefox and try again.

The Alert Box widget is a source in Streamlabs Desktop. You need to remove that specific source in every scene you have it, restart Streamlabs Desktop, and then add the Alert Box widget back where you had it.

For anyone being resolution limited in the mobile app (720 or lower only showing). I'm getting it on both my a11 test phone and my S21 ultra streaming phone. It's seems to be linked to the vertical scene not being populated. I do not populate it as then my screen flips automatically when I do and I can't have that due to being a POV helmet streamer. so I've found that switching my phone to horizontal before I open the app starts me on the horizontal scene and then gives me a 70% chance of getting around the bug. I might have to open and close the app a couple of times but eventually the stream settings for resolution will have 1080p and higher again.

Click the Playback tab and/or Recording tab and right-click your microphone/headphones and click Properties. Depends on how you define the word video and the word music. Technically are media files so you would need to use the Media source for either the video or the music.

so i got a scene (intro video) with a source (media File) when I had the video with a beat it creates a Media file in the mixer. However I cannot hear it.

2nd part is how do I make it transition from the media file to a image (starting soon) whether it be a new scene or a new source under the same scene.

In order to hear the media file audio, you would need to go to the Advanced Audio Settings and change the audio monitoring of that source to monitor and output.
To transition to another scene, use hot keys.

Hey everyone new to streaming and everything but having an issue thats made me gone mad overnight. Have spent hours switching options back and forth but have hit a brick wall. While streaming since game audio is obviously coming from my monitor its being picked up through my microphone as well and causing echo/feedback/no pleasing sounds. Is there a way to either minimize this so its quieter while still being able to hear it myself ( I have messed with noise suppressor and noise gates) or is there a way to have game audio sent through a pair of headphones so I can still hear it while haveing it still picked up on stream?

Anyone have any experience connecting a PS3 to streamlabs? I have purchased a hdmi splitter to bypass the HDCP, but I still just get a black screen when I try to record on streamlabs. My capture card just comes up as USB device - not sure if this even is the capture card or if it is part of the issue. • After you've added your capture source, the "game" may require to be focused before it will be captured in Streamlabs Desktop.

Oh Roblox. They have a new anti-cheat feature that breaks the ability for Game Capture to hook into the game. You need to use Window Capture for Roblox.

I have just signed up for Streamlabs Ultra, and it is linked to my account, with the emails matching between both my Streamlabs App, and the Ultra subscription. While attempting to use the "Streamlabs Cross Clip" application, I am being greeted with a window to purchase Ultra again. However, when I click the "Connect" button, then the "Confirm" button in the follow-up window that populates, I receive a "Connection Failed" error.

Some games have anti cheat features which break game capture, like Roblox and CS:GO. Use Game Capture unless the game can’t be captured with it. Then go with Window Capture and as a last resort, Display Capture. Just remember, Display Capture shows what ever you see so make sure to keep personal information protected.

hello. When i open streamlabs obs i cant hear any sound from my bluetooth headset. When i close streamlabs obs sound is back. There is any solution for that?

I got a new laptop yesterday and after installing stream labs to it and plugging in my video capture card my game audio on my stream is choppy, I didn't have this problem before on my old laptop I have tried every thing I can think of, any help would be fantastic
