I’d suggest taking a picture of your room where the lights are dark and it gives the effect that you want, then use that as the background when you remove the green screen.

Hello! I have this problem in OBS and Streamlabs in which the alertbox and chat widgets are not working in livestream. I already followed every tutorial in the world has ever seen but to no avail.

I already:

1. Unlink/Link my FB Account
2. Enabled/Disabled Browser Source Hardware Acceleration
3. Enabled Firewall
4. Changed the IPV
5. Change the API Token in Streamlabs.com
6. Clear Cache and Browser in OBS
7. Uninstall/Reinstall OBS

When I'm testing the widgets, it works. But, in a livestream, it doesn't show the alerts and the chats that is connected to Streamlabs. What can I do? Thank you for the response 🙂

That’s the issue I’m not sure what to set the bit rate to I have up to 581 mbps in download and 24.0 in upload mbps

it really depends on what error you're getting. your upload and download only affect dropped frames, not necessarily lagged frames.

If you're getting skipped/lagged frames it's cause your overloading your hardware on your pc. if you're getting dropped frames then it's a network issue (dealing with your upload speed)

sof if you're getting notifications of skipped and lagged frames in Streamlabs Desktop it's not a network issue but your hardware being overloaded (so your gpu or your cpu, whatever you use to encode). Do you know the specific error you're getting in Streamlabs Desktop?

I think it’s cpu im not home at the moment to check it I don’t quite remember with the error messages said . I spent most of the evening on the phone with laptops provider trying to clean everything up to to get up to 8gb free space to use Streamlabs . Not sure if changing the ram on the laptop would make a difference?

I'm trying to set my stream up, I have everything set up in labs and am able to get the stream started but as soo as I attempt to use another program the stream interrupts and eventually says aI am offline. I have a new rig with plenty of specs and fast hardwired internet connection. I have done this before with much worse equpiment and am nsure what I am doing wrong now. well that would depend on your specs and stuff. This will help with getting a bitrate set up: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/best-bitrate-settings-for-live-streaming but lagged/skipped frames is typically your hardware getting overloaded. So use whatever your stronger piece of hardware is for encoding (so like if you have a nvidia 4060 and an i3, use the 4060 which would be nvenc)

So wait, do I still need a stream key to go live on YouTube? Because if I use recommended, there's no option for a stream key.

I went ahead and ordered new rams for 32gb Amazon claims they would be delivered today hopefully that will help it some when I go to test everything else later the ram I have is 4 gb

You don’t need need to manually input your stream key. When you log in with one of your merged platforms, YouTube for example, Streamlabs Desktop automatically selects the ingest (RTMP) and reads your stream key for you.

When I schedule a public stream, or just go live and it’s public, I get around 98% frame rate drop the entire stream. I can’t do anything. But when I start an unlisted stream, it works perfectly. I have tested this back to back, with the privacy being the only difference, and it will work fine unlisted, start another stream the next minute and fail public, and then another stream the next minute unlisted without issues.

I was able to start the stream unlisted and then switch it to public and that worked fine. But this just doesn’t work long term. I can’t schedule a stream for public and start it because it only fails.

Does anyone have an idea what’s happening? Why does it do this? Is there a workaround anyone knows of?

Just got back into streaming, and for whatever reason, I'm having difficulty with going live. Specifically, Streamlabs is not asking for a title or game before just going live whenever I click it. I consulted settings as well as google and can't seem to find an answer.
Google states there was a check box under general settings that needs to be checked, making streamlabs ask every time what title and game you want as a pop up box...can't find that setting anywhere. Please help

Hi everyone... Ok, figured I come here for some help. I have been struggling with StreamLabs Desktop crashes for so long now and I can't figure this out... Once every few streams, at random times, StreamLabs Desktop will crash leaving me with a box that says the stream is still running, click yes to keep streaming, no to end the stream... The stream ends up running fine, but I can't control scene transitions or switching audio playing on the stream etc. since the Streamlabs Desktop has crashed....

guess what I'm looking for are some places to start. I have filed crash reports to StreamLabs in the past, but nothing I try helps (reinstalling streamlabs, updating nvidia drivers, reinstalling the VC++ libs...)........ It's getting frustrating so anyone with experience troubleshooting things like this - I would love some help or at least places to start looking to try to eliminate these. I'm on an i9-9900k with a 3080Ti and 32 GB Ram. I stream MSFS in VR.... Thanks!

Hey folks, I tried searching but didn't see it here, for simulcasting do I need to increase my bitrate to accomodate multiple streams or does Streamlabs take whatever my bitrate is (say 6k) and multiply it automatically to accomodate each stream? Ok, after more hours of trying to troubleshoot StreamLabs crashing to desktop randomly... I think I am ready to completely uninstall and reinstall... Few questions first: After I go through Add/Remove programs and uninstall from there, I have read there are a few folders that I also need to get rid of. in c:\users\me\appdata\roaming am I to remove slobs-client and slobs-plugins? And then in c:\users\me\appdata\local remove the slobs-client-updater folder?

From what I have read/watched, that should get streamlabs completely off my PC. Then I can reinstall from scratch....

Now - the BIG question - If I do all that and then reinstall SLOBs from scratch - will ALL of my settings, scenes and sources be recovered and downloaded from the cloud backup automatically?? I have screenshots of almost everything (slobs settings, scenes, sources.... ) but I'd rather not recreate everything after completely wiping it off my system. I just want to hear from anyone who has done this that their settings/scenes/sources... everything was downloaded from the cloud so they could use the new installation of Streamlabs right away with no reconfiguring.

downloading a fresh installer from Streamlabs.com > installing does the same thing that you're asking about, but it keeps your settings. the tech agents always say to do it that way and not through add/remove programs cause you can make future installers borked

Hey Guys. Whenever I put Shaders on for minecraft, my Streamlabs Desktop freezes when I have Minecraft in focus.

Whereever the levels are when I put minecraft back in focus is where they stay. The stream video updates, but nothing else does. Desktop Audio/Mic, any notifications don't show up in my alert box. I've tested with 2 different shaders, both do it.

I have created a new scene to capture a game window, when I want to adjust it with the background I can't. Not with windows, images, chat boxes, with anything. I am in editor mode and the locks are unlocked.

Well so first thing is you have a display capture there its going to capture everything on the screen and you wouldnt be able to change anything. let me make a test thing here and see if i can help show what i think youre trying to do

So yeah you have it set to encode on the CPU itself, you need to change the encoder to nvenc. Also the 5800x3D is an of the charts beast of a CPU for gaming, but not for multitasking.

change the encoder to nvenc and see the streamlabs load come down.

Hi guys. I'm having a huge issue over here. I'm using Streamlabs to stream on Kick (I've already added the stream info stuff/key in the settings). Whenever I click "Go Live", I get a notification asking me again if I wish to go live and I say yes. Then the "Go Live" box says "Streaming", Then "Disconnected", then "Streaming", etc. It does this on a loop. It also changes from "Streaming" to "Disconnected" within milliseconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone, I've come to ask you for help because I'm having a problem: I have 2 Logitech C920 webcams which are correctly recognised by the PC. However, on streamlabs, I can't have the 2 cameras at the same time, I can choose camera A by disconnecting camera B, and vice versa, but not the 2 at the same time. Does anybody have a solution? Hello community! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have been trying to stream Diablo IV for months and every single time Streamlabs crashes minutes to an hour into stream. I've tried everything including potato settings (the lowest of low) in game, windowed mode, game capture mode, window capture mode, set fps limit, disabling the hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, trying NVENC encoding, tried x264 encoding, everything. I have a decent rig with a 3070 Ti NVIDIA Geforce Graphics card and Diablo IV is the only game that completely freezes and ends my stream multiple times a night attempting to stream the game on both OBS and Streamlabs. The game works great in ultra settings while not streaming, it's the second I turn on OBS or Streamlabs that kills it. Frames drop to 3 fps and then then streamlabs freezes and I have to task manager out. Sometimes I have to completely restart computer because Streamlabs is so frozen and can't access task manager. Especially bad if I try to teleport in game.

1. Quit Streamlabs Desktop.

3. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in.

If that does not work, please quit Streamlabs Desktop and then go into your Windows Settings and change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge or Firefox (if you have it installed) and try again.

For Cloudbot, make sure that Streamlabs is not banned on your channel: enter /unban streamlabs in your Twitch chat. Then follow these steps:
👉 Do not skip or shorten the waits.

1. Unmod streamlabs
2. Toggle Cloudbot off
3. Wait for at least 10 minutes
4. Toggle Cloudbot back on
5. Mod streamlabs
6. Wait 10 minutes before trying commands

You Scenes and Sources data are stored in the Cloud automatically for you unless you've checked Do not back up my media files in the cloud option at Settings -> Scene Collections.

Now your actual settings, like Encoder, Bitrate, Output Resolution, etc are stored locally so I'd advise taking screen shots of the those settings and keeping those screen shots safe. Once you have reinstalled Windows, download and install Streamlabs Desktop and log in using the same platform (Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, or Trovo) that you use now and your Scenes and Sources will be there.

Log out of Streamlabs Desktop and quit it. Log out of the Streamlabs Desktop web site on any device you use it with and clear the cache in that web browser. Then launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in with your new Twitch name.

Hey I need assistance can anyone help me apply a Custom Overlay I got to my Streamlabs Console I've been having trouble setting it up

@sturdy pollen Delete all of your webcam sources in all of your scenes. Once it's completely removed, re-add it in a singular scene. Then if you need to add it to another scene choose Add from existing and not Create New. I got a file of an overlay I got made and I see it's real because I got it on Streamlabs but I can't seem to get it to transfer to Streamlabs Console

It isn't a HTML file

It works on the standard Streamlabs I just don't know how to get it on my Streamlabs Console

I can enter the folder the file is kept in but it doesn't see the file
