It is always going to eat into your performance doing it on a single PC, no matter how much you optimize. Especially on more demanding titles. If you are rtunning a game that your system is not being fully utilized there is more room available to the streaming software to have their own resources, but if your game is already using all of the juice your PC has the streaming software is going to have to "steal" some of those resources.

So there are different things that could possibly haved this issue occur, one of the simplest things to check is make sure the audio settings are correct... especially in the global settings... make sure the audio monitoring is not turned on and the audio monitoring device is not your mic...

One way I get this to start working is remove the source and then add it back in but also refreshing the cache of the source... I also run a test stream on facebook to ensure the chat works properly... annoying but its a workaround for now

I would probably try to log out of everything and then disconnect twitch from Streamlabs using their guide here: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account. Then log back in on Streamlabs.com with your twitch account. If you have an Streamlabs ID that has an ultra sub on it or whatever you'll probably have to log out again and then log back into that (you gotta log in specificlly with twitch or else it won't reconnect though).

There is an in-game overlay option so you can see chat

for that you head here first at bottom left corner of your streamlabs

then you'll be presented with these options head directly to "Game Overlay"

click it -> enable in game overlay -> uncheck show recent events (if you want to) -> then go to hotkeys and also look for "game overlay" make sure not to use any other key you got set to go live

follow these steps to disable exclusive control in case that is on currently and causing issues.

!acadd AC: {count ac +{1}} would allow you to use any number after !acadd to add that number. so if i did !acadd 2, it would add two points.

!ac AC: {getcount stuns} would just show the amount of "ac" there are.

You could redo the first one to make it a "subtract" with a - sign instead of a + sign if you wanted to subtract as well

Here's what we could try. First, I can disconnect all of your accounts (this includes your Streamlabs ID from your youtube channel).

That's not really possible. It's most likely your headphone's audio driver that needs to be updated

Your situation:

while Streamlabs Desktop is open certain programs sound odd.

Regardless if they were a source or not in Streamlabs Desktop they sounded oddly.

You did a work around, which is to add the chrome browser or whatever as a source, and then monitor it directly through Streamlabs Desktop.

Monitoring alongside with having desktop audio can have major issues such as echoes for your stream's output. This is why we don't typically monitor through Streamlabs Desktop directly unless it's a necessity (like with a capture card for example).

If for some reason you couldn't monitor a source because it's causing issues, you're back to square 1. because you're using Streamlabs Desktop kind of like a sound driver. rather than fixing the actual issue

I would test and make sure you're happy with everything and that you aren't having any adverse side effects for your stream (such as echoes). If not, great, but be aware that it could happen with something else in the future.

ok so i've got video and audio sync issue related to using FL studio.

Basically, i have sound capture source with a vst filter on it called reaplugs - used to stream the low latency vocal chain audio from my sound cards ASIO driver that i set in FL Studio.

My understanding is that asio sources hog the priority of the audio, and dont let it go through the system for obs to pickup. Not sure what to do.

Hey guys. In here on behalf of a friend who streams using StreamLabs OBS and she's having issues today. When she streams, her connection to twitch is fine, everything is setup as it should but for Twitch Desktop Views, it's showing as Offline BUT LIVE at the sametime. On mobile, this is a blackscreen with sound so that aspect works but again, causing issues.

We're restarted SLOBS, Restarted her PC, logged out and back into Twitch on SLOBS and nothing is working. Streamkey hasn't been affected and it's just affecting her and her connecting on SLOBS to Twitch. Any ideas/recommendations? Not sure if this is a known bug or not (Her twitch is lunariachi)

Usually with the behavior you describe, it could be the bitrate is too high. If your friend is not a Twitch Partner, please make sure their bitrate is not over 6000.

Hi I am trying to login with twitch in the streamlabs desktop application but when the browser (chrome) opens and ask for authorization I do authorize and then I get the next message: {"status":401,"message":"invalid csrf token"}. So I tried to do this auth in another browser (brave and firefox), in those browsers the auth goes as expected and redirects me to streamlabs but then a little popup shows in the upper right corner saying: "We are unable to log you at this time, please try again". Any help? Thanks!

You would need to log out of both Streamlabs.com and Streamlabs Desktop, as well as any other Streamlabs products you might. Once logged out of everywhere, go through the steps in this guide for Twitch: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account

If you don't see "Streamlabs Dashboard" listed there, look for "Streamlabs" instead. Once you've finished those steps, you would log back into both Streamlabs.com and Streamlabs Desktop (as well as any other areas you logged out of, if you did) with your Twitch account specifically to reconnect.
This won't bring back any missing events into your mini feed / recent events, but should help moving forward

3 - Click the Launch button beside your Widget URL.
4 - Leave the launched window open for a minimum of 3 minutes. (you can launch Streamlabs Desktop and go live at this point)
5 - Your next follow, sub, or bit should be captured going forward. (once these are captured they can close their browser alertbox)

These steps will not restore missed events but will refresh the connection to capture new ones.

Once all is done wait 3 min and let me know so I can test follow you

Could anyone help me? A friend is streaming a charity stream shortly but the goal bar and donation alerts are not displaying. Nothing is set to be hidden or disabled. Currently she uses OBS with Streamelements but the Donation Goal bar and alerts have been added from Streamlabs Dashboard.

You need to grant screen recording permissions in system settings > privacy & security. I believe you’ll also want to check the same spot under microphone, camera, and I believe you want to add streamlabs to the list in the accessibility section of privacy & security.

Having issues with your audio? Try the following solutions!

1. Make sure the audio source is not muted in the mixer on Streamlabs Desktop.

2. Some audio management software, like Nahimic 2, Sonic studio sound or motherboard audio software like Realtek HD Audio Manager or Sound Blaster Recon are known to cause issues. Try closing that kind of software, and also check Windows taskmanager if any processes with a similar name are running to be closed. If this doesn't work, try going in to your Windows Playback Devices in your Windows Audio Settings, right click on the sound device you are using and click on Properties, then go to the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box that says "Give exclusive mode applications priority" and that should resolve it.

3. Select manually the desktop audio device (audio settings), you use as default device in Windows Sound, not setting it to default. Alternatively you can set it to disabled and add in the scene you want desktop audio an Audio Output Capture and select the device that is set as default device in Windows Sound.

4. Install Windows C++ Redistributable [Link][1]

5. As a last resort, you can temporarily use an alternative program to capture audio like VoiceMeeter Banana. This program allows you to set it as the default device, and then use a virtual audio cable into Streamlabs Desktop to capture the desktop audio. Ok now follow this steps please.
1- Log into streamlabs.com with your Twitch account.
2 - Go to https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox
3 - Click the Launch button beside your Widget URL.
4 - Leave the launched window open for a minimum of 3 minutes. (you can launch Streamlabs Desktop and go live at this point)
5 - Your next follow, sub, or bit should be captured going forward. (once these are captured they can close their browser alertbox)

These steps will not restore missed events but will refresh the connection to capture new ones.

Follow the exact steps and go live for testing.

Lul. I just hit the stop button at my almost 3 hour recording and it reset the timer and a loading symbol appeared there, at some point i closed the program
The recorded file is 0 bytes. Is there another place I could look for it or might it just be poof?

Even though I closed it the background process is still doing something and I can't start the program without killing the old task

Edit: Hm. Okay I now closed the infinitely looping background tasks via task mgr, and it asked me if I wanted to stop recording where I said "yes" and now the 0 bytes file is 5.6 GB but still not watchable, even with VLC

Streamlabs Console is a subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

For your second question, instead of adding the stuff as settings > audio, you would just add audio inputs and output sources in each scene and have everything disabeld in settings >audio

IDK why that would happen but i would suggest maybe deleting all of your alertboxes > adding just one > seeing if the same thing happens or not. Also checking in a launched browser source to see if it happens (go to Streamlabs.com > alertbox > launch the URL, then do a test or replay an old alert). If it doesn't happen in there you could try adding your alertbox as a browser source instead of an alertbox. But I would probably submit a ticket at that point

idk what you mean by this. but when someone buys from your store it shows up on the recent events list. then an alert would trigger to say "so and so purchased". If you have a separate store that you stream packing orders or something there's not really a way to "delay" those really

Our store is through our own website where customers buy from. Shopify has an add on called exportible that allows them to run their orders as they come in to be displayed in stream labs so hoping to find a way to do it

When I schedule a public stream, or just go live and it’s public, I get around 98% frame rate drop the entire stream. I can’t do anything. But when I start an unlisted stream, it works perfectly. I have tested this back to back, with the privacy being the only difference, and it will work fine unlisted, start another stream the next minute and fail public, and then another stream the next minute unlisted without issues.

I was able to start the stream unlisted and then switch it to public and that worked fine. But this just doesn’t work long term. I can’t schedule a stream for public and start it because it only fails.

Does anyone have an idea what’s happening? Why does it do this? Is there a workaround anyone knows of?

I've been having this issue where Streamlabs gets the audio coming from my headphones (I can see the bars moving as if the audio is passing), but as soon as I open Streamlabs it mutes my computer and I can't hear anything (Streamlabs keeps receiving it). i uuse SLOBS with a green screen showing videos whilst i stream music ( i dj on twitch ) which is great, but i have to have bright lights in my room for the green screen, which doesnt create a mood for me whilst playing, ive seen a streemer who seems to use green screens AND dim his brightness , looks like his room is darker thus creating a mood. not sure if its actually dark for him, but as a viewer it looks like hes in a darker room.

is it possible to green screen and turn my lights down, ??
