If you click in the embedded chat dock to try and type in your chat there, it may ask you to log in. Log in again there and then you'll be good. This was due to the Twitch API change a couple of months back.

Have you rebooted you PC? We helped someone a few weeks ago with a similar issue. If you've rebooted and still get the message about Twitch Soundtrack:

1). Please uninstall the Twitch soundtrack plugin via "add or remove programs" then press your Windows key and search %appdata% then open the slobs-plugins folder, then the obs-plugins folder, then you can delete the soundtrack .dll file.

2). Make a new scene collection in Streamlabs Desktop and see if that helps.

3). Go live, then click the gear icon to the upper right of your volume mixer in Streamlabs Desktop, then uncheck track 6 and tick it back on.

okay Step 3 works after all. I tried it again but unticked all tracks instead of just 6 and now it works.

Click the Playback tab and/or Recording tab and right-click your microphone/headphones and click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box for Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device. You should also do this for your microphone/headphones under the respective tab.

Having issues with your audio? Try the following solutions!

1. Make sure the audio source is not muted in the mixer on Streamlabs Desktop.

2. Some audio management software, like Nahimic 2, Sonic studio sound or motherboard audio software like Realtek HD Audio Manager or Sound Blaster Recon are known to cause issues. Try closing that kind of software, and also check Windows taskmanager if any processes with a similar name are running to be closed. If this doesn't work, try going in to your Windows Playback Devices in your Windows Audio Settings, right click on the sound device you are using and click on Properties, then go to the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box that says "Give exclusive mode applications priority" and that should resolve it.

3. Select manually the desktop audio device (audio settings), you use as default device in Windows Sound, not setting it to default. Encoder settings are entirely dependent upon the hardware in your computer. Trying to game and encode at the same time utilizes resources and if you’re encoding with your CPU and the game is CPU dependent, it will give you terrible performance. The first question is: what kind of CPU/GPU do you have?

Ok. I’m going to recommend a couple things:

1. upgrade the OS
2. don’t expect 1080p streams because you’re on a MacBook Air which is handicapped by Apple to underperform for battery life purposes.

That being said, you should be able to get a 720p60 stream at approximately 3500 bitrate using the Apple VT encoder and have no issues.

I'm not sure exactly what to search for to see if this has already been answered, but I'm having an issue with my twitch custom bot. Both the bot and streamlabs are modded, but for whatever reason sometimes the stream will use the custom bot for commands and sometimes it will use the streamlabs bot. I can't figure out what triggers the selection. Both are listed in the viewer list.

Yes, you need to run software update and get your laptop to Ventura. There is not a way to get around the Apple-imposed handicap, but it should perform nicely on Ventura.

I have not tried Elgato game capture yet. I had a fear of the Elgato source being used by Elgato Game Capture and Streamlabs Desktop at the same time and it not working so I never bothered with Elgato Game Capture. Is there prior configuration I have to do with Elgato Game Capture before I can make it work with Streamlabs?

You won’t stream via your Xbox. You’ll connect the Xbox to the card, card to computer, and card to display and then use the streamlabs desktop application to stream on the computer.

That's what you would have to do is block permissions from the mobile app for using your camera. You also most likely have a scene collection (click on the three lines > scene collections) that have your camera in use so just delete the camera source.

Yeah, I see your thinking there. I know that {months} works for the Alert Box, just not sure if it works in a Stream Label.

There's still an ongoing issue with YouTube chat <#known-issues message>. Is the stream Public on YouTube? Chat won't work if its Private; Unlisted may work.

Yeah, that's the ongoing issue with YouTube Chat. There's nothing you can do about it. The issue is with the API between Streamlabs and YouTube and its still being investigated.

Ah, yes, sorry. Multitasking over here. I'd set your Microphone specifically to your device rather than that utility device and switch to 48hz Sample Rate and see if that helps out.

Were you using Discord then? There's some give and take depending on how you normally stream.

If you just record locally with these settings, then yes, without a discord call going, your microphone would not be recorded.

Set your Microphone device back to what it was if you just want to record locally and then disable it when you use Discord on your stream.

Hey guys I am new to separating audio tracks, but my editor said it would make her job a lot easier if I learned how to do it. I am confused because if I have audio on the same track it double plays the audio in Davinci or Premier Pro, but I only have 2 tracks available to put audio on so that it can also be heard on stream. If I put all my audio sources on different tracks I can only pick two that would be heard on stream. However, if I separate them all on different tracks for recording it works fine. I guess what I am asking is can I somehow set it up so that they are all on different audio tracks and have it work fine for both streaming and recording? Sorry for any confusion.

If you want to capture the audio from a window you add a Audio Source on your sources and choose the window you want.

Hello, has anyone here used Streamlabs console before? I’ll be doing my first stream with the software next Wednesday on Xbox, using my iPad as the webcam source via browser, but I was curious if anyone was aware of the lag discrepancy between the webcam captured on iPad and the gameplay footage? When I ran the preview in web browser, it appeared that there was a maybe half minute delay between an action on the Xbox and it registering in the preview, while the webcam ran in real-time. I noticed the webcam element defaults to a 3 second delay, I’m wondering if that is enough? Or does everything end up looking synced up once it ends up on Twitch? Thanks for reading.

hello all, im running into a weird issue with SL that when i stream to my FB gaming page the "chat" collumn on the right hand side brings up a web browser of my facebook page where i can scroll through facebook as if im on chrome or something instead of showing chat... anyone ever expierence this ?

I just readjust mine each time when it changes sizes. If you hold down shift while adjusting pulling on the adjustment buttons it lets you move it freely. And usually when mine changes sizes I do a few tests before I go live. So I start with the game scene and then go to my waiting screen then flip back, adjust, flip back to waiting and then flip back to the game scene and everything looks fine and I won’t have any more issues unless I’m playing games on the switch and using the capture card, that requires more adjusting and scene changes

Have you tried changing the window that you want it to capture to a different window and then switching it back? Sometimes that happens to me to if I’m using an application and it’s on capture specific window and it’s on the old start time of the previous time I’ve used it, if that makes sense

It could also depend on if you’re issuing game capture or window capture. Sometimes game capture won’t work for certain things

The 2070 super tensor cores used for Nvidia broadcast are the same as what is used for nvenc encoding. Since the 20-series cards were the first generation of RTX cards, the ability for the card to support both Nvidia broadcast compute and stream encode compute simultaneously is limited by the hardware. On newer cards they upped the number of cores for Nvidia broadcast and encoding so they don’t suffer a performance hit.

No, it’s limited by the hardware. A 2070 super is a 6-year old card at this point. Your best upgrade is going to be a 40-series card or wait for the 50-series cards to be announced and grab a 40-series at a discount.

Best to set the refresh rate of your monitor to either 60 or 120, and cap the in game FPS to the same value and the FPS in the broadcast app to the same value. This reduces the load on your GPU. Anything over 120 is essentially useless as it doesn’t help the stream look better.

Keep it simple. That's how I started streaming. Just make sure at Settings -> Audio, you set the Desktop Audio Device to the same device you use in Windows. Before you click that Start Streaming button, just have it all ready and be in the game and make sure your see the bars in the Mixer moving.

And another question: when I added a Cam scene for the greenscreen, I'm missing the "Spill" fader where you can get rid of green spill colour from the green screen on your camera. You have that feature when you edit the Cam as the Source directly, but you don't want to put that on a source if you have other scenes without greenscreen used. Click the Playback tab and/or Recording tab and right-click your microphone/headphones and click Properties. The QR code should not disappear from streamlabs desktop without interaction. You should be able to launch streamlabs desktop, open settings, select Remote Control, click to reveal your QR code, and then scan it with your phone.

Streamlabs Console is a subscription service. You would need to log into the Streamlabs Console site, click your PFP in the upper right, choose Account Settings, then scroll down and choose either the Monthly or Annual plan.

Streamlabs Console is also included in our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. If you're using Streamlabs Console this way, please make sure you set up your Streamlabs ID then log into the Streamlabs Console with your Streamlabs ID rather than your Twitch.

Unfortunately, all plugins for OBS aren't supported in Streamlabs Desktop. You can use VST 2.x filters made for OBS Studio in Streamlabs Desktop. Other filters and plugins aren't officially supported and could work but wouldn't be anything we offer support for. Usually a plugin will come with an installer.

You don't add them from inside Streamlabs Desktop. The plugin should come either with an installer you have to run or with instructions on how to install the plugin.

@slow geyser Just to double check, if you go into the Layout Editor, do you have the Stream Preview or the Editor Display?

If Stream Preview, swap it out for the Editor Display and then Save Changes and then see if you can drag the sources.

Hi there! 👋 Refreshing the connection between Streamlabs and the end platform will resolve this. Please follow exactly all the steps in this guide: https://streamlabs.com/content-hub/post/how-to-disconnect-your-streamlabs-account Including the log outs. You'll need to perform these when you not live.

👉 NOTE This will not go back and capture any events that were missed. You'll need a new event (new follow on Twitch, new subscriber on YouTube, etc) as verification. I can follow on Twitch or subscribe on YouTube for verification if you like.

Also note the guide has sections for the 4 platforms we have full integration with, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Trovo. So only follow the section for the platform you're using.

Once you're done, just launch Streamlabs Desktop and log in with the channel you disconnected. In your case, just log in with your Twitch.

Uh, yeah, you should not perform this process if you are live. You must be offline and perform the log outs. If you don't perform the log outs, the connection won't be properly refreshed and your issue will continue.

First, please restart your computer.

After restarting, go to the search in Windows (found in the bottom left via the Search bar) or by clicking opening the Start menu.

Search this file path: C:\ProgramData\obs-studio-hook and then click on the folder that pops up.

Once you have done that you will see a large number of files (https://i.imgur.com/MRoEYJT.png). Disregard these and open only the ProgramData folder

Then you should see the obs-studio-hook folder there (it will be highlighted if you searched correctly). Please delete this folder, then open Streamlabs Desktop as an administrator and try Game Capture once more.

That doesn't sound like you have it setup properly. You PC should have a place to plug the monitor to. Then the capture card is cabled to the PS5.

If you're using Game Capture and the game is in full screen and you tab out of the game, it stops rendering frames and thus you only see the last frame it generated in the preview window in Streamlabs Desktop.

No, only audio sources set at Settings -> Audio or via audio input sources appear in the Mixer. The capture sources don't appear in the Mixer.

There is a gamble module in Streamlabs Chatbot and Streamlabs Cloudbot. Chatbot works only with Twitch and YouTube and is only runs on Windows based computers. Cloudbot is available for Twitch, YouTube, and Trovo and by its name, it runs in the cloud, so nothing to download and install.

Both of the use the respective loyalty systems in the bot.

And work in the live chat.
