Hello, does anyone else have this issue? This started a few days ago but today its not working at all. I had the video capture ready but everytime I changed the scene to where the VC was it would freeze streamlabs, I deleted it and now I cant add a video capture because it stays loading and freezes/crashes Streamlabs desktop till I have to close it with the task manager. Ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling streamlabs, rolling back and reinstalling GPU drivers, installing nvidia studio drivers, making sure everything is updated, installed visuals CC+, and its still doing it. I really dont know what else to do. This happend out of the blue. Please help.

Would you test something for me? Go into your streamlabs settings, click on Advanced in the left sidebar, and uncheck the box that says “use hardware acceleration”. Please let me know if it displays. You will most likely need to restart streamlabs desktop after making the change.

Hello I've tried looking through the channels and searching for if anyone else has had the same issue with an answer to resolve it. I couldn't see an answer unless I've missed it?

I'll try and break it down as short as possible and hoping maybe someone might read this and could possibly help out here?

here goes:

I used to stream approximately 2 years ago and set up my twitch account with streamlabs for use of follow notifications alerts to pop up in a stream. Normal stuff. it all worked fine and I only bothered with just follows to begin with and see how things went.

I did however get to affiliate and had managed 7 subscribers I think but for personal reasons I had to stop streaming (this is just some background)

so it's been 2 years and I've decided to start again but this time I wanted to have a new follow notification so I've created a new gif and plan to use a more discrete sound alert with follows this time too.

signed in on streamlabs and the first thing I noticed was in the "Follow Alert" settings all my previous settings were gone and it was back to the default zombie guy walking thing again. So I set it all up with obs again and clicked on test on the streamlabs site. It worked but it still played my old alert I set up from 2 years ago. Which was fine until I then went and put in my new gif on streamlabs clicked save. it told me it had been saved so I clicked test. For some reason it's still playing the old alert I made. So I cleared all the settings to default again using the zombie guy. clicked test and still it plays my old alert. I've repeatedly clicked save, cleared my cache, even restarted my pc in some hope. but still it will not update my follow notification settings even though it tells me I have saved the changes when I click save.

What's really odd is that the changes and saving them work fine with other alert test such as subscriber alert. I can make changes to these and when I test them it works fine. But for some reason I don't understand why it will not work correctly for making changes for follows.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Even an option to clear all my previous settings and restore to default was my last hope thinking maybe that could fix it. Tried looking but there doesn't appear to be an option for that.

You probably have an alert variation that it causing this. Go to the bottom of the follow alert page, open the Alert Variation section and delete the variation that’s there to resolve your issue.

Thanks for replying. I forgot to include this. can confirm there is no variation. However something I did try was adding one and testing that and weirdly it still plays the same old alert from 2 years ago even through the new variation alert was something completely different. At that point I got pretty frustrated and gave up haha.

@gritty isle yes it has been deleted. I don't get the zombie running image. I keep getting a different gif I had set 2 years ago. Even if I save new changes with an uploaded gif or setting it back to the zombie. I can make these changes and click on save. it shows the save being made prompt but when testing, it will still show the older 2 year ago gif and none of the changes I make apply themselves even after save.

This issue is only for follows. The other alerts changes, saving and testing work fine. Which is the confusing part why it's only my follow alert I can't seem to change?

This is due to a privacy setting on YouTube and cannot be 'fixed' inside Streamlabs.

By default, YouTube accounts have their subscriptions set to Private. This means if a someone subscribes to your channel, Streamlabs can't detect that subscription and thus won't alert you.

The subscriber (the person watching your live stream), would need to make the subscriptions Public before subscribing to your channel in order for Streamlabs to detect the event and alert you.

And in that scene, I don't see the Alert Box Widget. Are you using it as a browser source perhaps?

Nevermind I think I found a work around. the link gif still existed in the list of variations that wasn't enabled. So I changed the settings for it and saved them. What's bizarre is that after doing this the normal follower settings then applied as it should have. :barbShrug: no idea. but I can deal with this and back to me saying thank you and it's resolved again. Hopefully I won't be seeing that dancing link anymore. There just seemed to be something really odd about the link dancing gif that just refused to go away, even after it was deleted by one of you guys. But now I think it's gone for good. 🤞 @gritty isle

Okay, please follow this:

1. Click the + sign in the Source panel.
2. At the top, under Essential Sources, left click on Alertbox then click Add Source.
3. In the next window that comes up, click Add Source again.
4. That will add the Alert Box Widget to that scene.
5. To make sure you can see your alerts, click on the Alert Box source and drag it so that its at the top of the Source list.
6. Finally, on the Alert Box web page (the one you made the screen shot from), click the Test buttons at the top of that page. You should see and hear the test alerts in the Preview window in Streamlabs Desktop.

Okay, this is due to the new Twitch API that we had to switch to. Go ahead and click the Log In tab in the Embedded Chat when that pops up and log in again there. Then you can use the embedded chat window as expected.

Usually in the menu in the monitor itself, if it has one and most modern monitors should or if you have an Nvidia based video card, you can set the refresh rate using the Nvidia Control Panel.

To my knowledge, he added it through the Streamlabs dashboard. It's meant to be a word counter, using the alias of !(word)+ (to add, which by default it's meant to add only 1 to the count)
What we're trying to do is make it add a specific number for when he goes on rage shouting said word, and it just...doesn't want to do that

Have the streamer copy and paste this into the response for the command: I have now raged {count rage} times!

They can change the text but the important part is {count rage}

This causes the counter to be incremented by and displayed in chat. The name of the variable is rage. The variable name itself can by anything so feel free to change that.

So, say he says the word three times, and instead of running the command three separate times, I just want to do the command to add three. How would I do that?

The streamer can copy and paste the text, editing the text how they need to (if needed), just keep the important part {count rage {1}}

A moderator can add it via chat if the streamer has enabled the addcommand

Moderator would type !addcommand rage I have now raged {count rage {1}} times!

Cloudbot will respond when it adds the command and then it can be used in chat. If the streamer only wants certain groups like only moderators to use then command then the streamer will need to add it manually as the have more granular control via their interface. The permissions can't be specified when adding a command via chat.

Try reducing the Alert Text Delay but a few seconds and see if that helps. For mine, I've got an Alert Duration of 8 seconds and an Alert Text Delay of 1 second.

Unfortunately putting 1 or 2 seconds of delays didn't help. The TTS overlapped with video sound. Putting a sound file fixed my issue. Don't you have any sound file defined in the Sound section?

Before I'm even broadcasting on twitch, the live scene on my preview window is choppy. Whenever I load up a game the whole thing starts chugging hard. I got a warning from Norton that it was using 100% of one of my CPU cores and that doesn't really make sense, since I've got it hooked to my GPU and it's all up to date.

No, you're on 1.12.5 which is the latest. Twitch has been switching around their API a lot recently, thus affecting lots of software. Relog when you can and make sure you're running Streamlabs Desktop as administrator.

Let's try this, go to the Chat Box Widget page on the Streamlabs web site: https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/chatbox and screen shot the settings you have there. There's some there that don't appear in the Widget from inside Streamlabs Desktop. But really, none of those will affect the embedded chat.

What bitrate do you have set? The maximum for Twitch is 6000 if you're not an Affiliate or Partner and most Partners are allowed up to 8000.

Okay, thanks for trying a relog. Run these steps in order:

1. Closing Streamlabs Desktop/OBS Studio
2. Hit the Windows key + R
3. Paste the following and hit enter: %appdata%/slobs-client/plugin_config/obs-browser (Streamlabs Desktop) or %appdata%/obs-studio/plugin_config/obs-browser (OBS Studio)
4. Delete the Cache folder, then re-open the software

It took forever to replicate the issue AND capture it. When I've got my mouse focused on the game, that's when it started messing up. Frames were actually reaching as low as 5 FPS.

Okay so yeah, you're report of high CPU usage makes since. I see this in your screen shot.

There might be a source that doesn't fit the resolution properly. I'd go through the sources and find which one that it and then right click on it, choose Transform, then choose Fit to Screen.

Then I'd suggest tweaking the settings in your game. Make sure the resolution matches that of your monitor and cap the FPS in game to the setting in Streamlabs Desktop (Settings -> Video). I'd also set the monitor refresh rate to the same value. That should reduce the workload on your CPU and GPU.

Like, I have touched NOTHING to change my streamlabs. It worked clean as a whistle for a year. This is the first day it's done this. It's like I got an update somewhere that made something incompatible and I don't know what it could be.

Quit Streamlabs Desktop. Then download a fresh installer then run the installer as administrator and let install over your existing installation, no need to uninstall first. Once the installer is done, see if you can replicate the problem and if so, let us know and we can go from there.

Sounds like then you may have a corrupt source. What I would do is make a new Scene Collection by clicking the + sign in the Scene Selector panel, then rebuild your scenes and sources in that new collection and try to duplicate the issue with that new scene collection.

This won't remove your existing scene collections or their scenes and sources. 😉

If you haven't by chance created a ticket yet, another thing to note is that it does require at least Windows 10 2004 or later for that feature to function. This microphone has an XLR connection, so you will need a standard 3-pin XLR cable, as well as an audio-interface like the RØDE AI-1 or RØDECaster Pro, which will act as the bridge to your computer for recording. You can then use the microphone to record to a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) like Pro Tools, Cubcase, Ableton, Logic, Garageband or Reaper to name a few, or similar audio recording software.

First, log out in Streamlabs Desktop and quit it.

Then

Copy this

%appdata%/slobs-client/

Then press Windows-R key and paste the text you copied above and click OK.

This will open a Windows Explorer window. Now go back up one level to Roaming.

Find the slobs-client folder there and rename it to slobs-client.old.

Then launch Streamlabs Desktop and log back in.

If any scenes and sources are restore to you from the cloud, you can delete them by clicking the down arrow in the Scene Selector Panel then choose Manage Scene Collections then finally hover over each one and click the Trash Can icon to delete that Scene Collection.

If you want to keep all those Scene Collections, then instead in the Manage Scene Collections dialog, click the Start fresh and build from scratch button.

Quit Streamlabs Desktop, open the AppData folder again, if it made a new slobs-client folder, drag that to the Desktop then rename slobs-client.old to slobs-client

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Interesting. The Quality number are why you're streaming is getting disconnected. The path between you and the Twitch ingest is poor. If you can, I would power cycle your DSL modem or reach out to your ISP and see if they are having any issues. The problem isn't with Streamlabs or Streamlabs Desktop.

My alert sounds randomly aren't working anymore (follows, bits, subs, raids, etc.). Doesn't work when live, when not live and just testing, even when OBS is closed and I launch the URL widget to test... No sound. And some of my sounds are stock sounds from the sounds gallery so it's not my personal sounds that's the issue. I almost thought it might've been OBS but all my other alerts from other sites work and again, they don't work when I use the Streamlabs URL widget. Hi there, with Multi Stream you only output 1 single stream and the rest of the stream are dealt with on our server side. So to answer you , you will be fine with the 6mbps, although please be aware that it is not recommended to use more then 75% of your upload speed just for the stream.

To resolve this issue:

1. Log out of Streamlabs and all Streamlabs software that you may be using.
2. After logging out, go here: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections
3. Then find Streamlabs (Twitch Alerts) or Streamlabs Dashboard & click Disconnect.
4. Once you have done this, please log in to streamlabs.com or Streamlabs Desktop with your Twitch account

Please then open your alert box via web browser via https://streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox by clicking the Launch button towards the top right of the page, keep that open for at least one minute, then try following your channel from an account that hasn't already followed you.

I would quit Streamlabs Desktop, then make sure your video card (GPU) drivers are up to date (don't rely on Windows Update for that, use the tool from the manufacture like GeForce Experience), and then if you update your video card drivers, reboot, and try again. Be sure run Streamlabs Desktop as administrator.

I have an issue streaming Battlefield 2042.

For some weird reason when I have my game minimized, everything is perfect. However when I maximize the game and start playing the screen on my stream is zoomed in automatically.

The only way to fix this is if I have the window 640px x 360px as the game is still being zoomed in when maximized and is thus capturing the game correctly.

I tested this on OBS and everything is working fine even with the window on OBS being fitted to the screen.

Any ideas?

For example i was getting an error with the customre service number, because it was not a Greek number and in the end i couldn't even remove it from my paypal dashboard. I tested this by recording a video and it is doing the exact same thing.

When the game looks normal, I have the game minimized, when entering the game you can see the video being zoomed in.

Nope, I am using everything that is native to Streamlabs.

Basically hitting record on Streamlabs and and then maximizing the game.

What I will try is perhaps having the game maximized and then start recording by pressing a hotkey and see what happens.

You can set a hot key to start and stop recording. That might help. Launch Streamlabs Desktop and then the game then start and stop recording via the hot key. May not be the ultimate fix but perhaps a quick workaround. Go ahead and submit the ticket if you like.

Hi - I switched fro using a mac to a Windows PC. Normally when I switch from one mac to another mac, my streamlabs setup is preserved - all my assets and stream layouts are still there.

But when I installed streamlabs on the windows box and connected my twitch account, none of my scenes existed.

Hello guys. I've got issues at the moment with Streamlabs that stops the streaming between 10-15mn to 1 hour. From that point, Streamlabs displays the stream is still on, but if I check on twitch, it's offline. Then, when I try to set off the stream and relaunch it, the "Start video transmission" step is running indefinitely, and sometimes Streamlabs crash completely. But most of the time, I try to close Streamlabs, it closes, and if I try to re-open it, that's without any effect. That's because there is a dozen of Streamlabs processes if I check my process list. I have so to kill that processes to be able to open Streamlabs again. That's very annoying. I tried to reduce my bitrate to a small number, but problem remains the same.
If anyone can guide me through the process of recovery? Everything was working fine until now. Thanks in advance.

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

trying to stream my high school's esports team. none of the visuals are showing up despite having things in place. i have set it up on my work laptop, but our streamer who does it from another computer is suddenly having this issue with a lot of the images, music, backgrounds not showing up. any thoughts on what this could be? only started within the last week despite them streaming for 4 weeks. everything was initially setup on my work laptop and looks just fine. but over this past week, we've had issues with streamers saying (and showing) that images aren't loading, or things are moved around or resized weird, music in the BG not playing, etc.

Is it safe to put the streamlabs bot in discord? My friends discord keeps popping up with the bot hasn't been verrified

@random basin reloaded widgets but not tried all the steps as was live at the time. Am I going to have to do all this before every stream ? Or is there a fix being worked on ?

There is literally zero information on how to connect a DYNAMIC XLR RODE POD MIC to stream labs. I have spent two days figuring out settings and I can’t get it to work….. I do not have a low quality pc….. I would follow directions, or a YouTube video, or a manual, if it existed!

You shouldn't have to do it before every stream! Try to do it once again and if doesn't fix it come back to us please.

I use a sm7b with a GoXLR on Streamlabs, and before I had the sm7b I had a PodMic too, and the setup is quite simple and straight forward. Please tell me what audio interface are you using and we go from there.

I can hook it up, I use iPhone cord earbuds and I can hear myself in my headphones

My issue is that it’s not working in stream labs. The green bar doesn’t move. It just stays an inch filled up green, static, i can’t hear it in my headphones
