When you say you have 50 ping, can you elaborate on what the issue is?
I’m streaming fn and it’s gonna to 50 ping I’m normally on 3
The most important filter I can suggest is a limiter or a compressor. The limiter makes sure your audio doesn’t go above a certain decibel level. A compressor basically lowers the volume of your audio once it reaches a decibel threshold and pushes it back down so you don’t blow out eardrums. You can set additional gain on a compressor to bring the levels back up to reasonable levels as well
I'm live at the moment, so this isn't possible. Plus, I can't follow from an account that hasn't followed me. I don't know how to do that.
Our steps to resolve this do need for you not to be live. Come back after you end your stream. A Volunteer might be able to follow after that as a test.

If you experience high ping / latency issues when you are streaming, try enabling the Low Latency mode option in Settings > Advanced to reduce how often Streamlabs Desktop outputs data to the network. This comes at the risk of increased frame drops if the connection to the streaming server is poor.
Let’s start here and see if it improves.
Good Time Zones! I'm also having fun with my notifications as of last night. I reset my accounts and their connections last night but didn't get anywhere. I also attempted a full new install of the latest desktop version this morning just to make sure it was up to date. I've tried both times to test the alert box with new accounts that hadn't followed, but no dice. Are there any other steps I should try taking beyond those listed here in the known-issues post?

Overlays from Streamlabs Ultra and overlays in general would have to be designed in the specific language. If the overlay doesn't have the option of French or other languages it's because the designer of the overlay didn't do so. Some overlays will have it, others won't unfortunately.

I recently started streaming again. I’ve been trying to figure out my scenario regarding a high-quality stream in 1080p 60fps(6000bit) but have noticed the encoders for some reason it’s not working too well so I’ve dropped down to 720p 60fps (4500bit). I’m just wondering what you guys suggestions are because even there (720) I’m getting some dropped frames.
I stream via YouTube login and on a 3070 GeForce, an i7 11 700K Intel processor with 32 GB of RAM gaming at 1440.
It should be enough to maintain the games fames high and run a high quality stream. But what do I know haha any suggestions??

I read the steps, but I don't know how to follow from a channel that hasn't followed me. I don't know what that means or what steps are involved.
If you are able to add an overlay widget via third-party URL and it doesn’t require a streamlabs desktop plug-in/app it should work.

You have to do the preliminary steps before it can be tested. Please don’t worry about the follow from a different account as that can be tested once the other steps have been completed.

Hey I need some help on my output, my viewers mentioned it looks tall stretched. My current screen (main is a 3440x1920) but my output has been set to so many things its currently set to 1920x1080 what ratio do I need to set it to to make it clean like my own screen?
This was exactly my issue, i was trying to use my ultrawide resolution which is still 1080 but its 2560x1080
@paper willow @austere stag so the issue with an ultra widescreen monitor is that the aspect ratio is not 16:9 which is a standard 1080p/4K/720p regular widescreen. The standard canvas and output for streaming software is a standard 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, and streaming platforms don’t support ultrawide aspect ratios. The best you can do is either crop the sides or leave the black bars as they will not go away unless using a standard 16:9 widescreen display.

Question So I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to fade audio during a scene transition. I have the visual sources fading in between, but the audio abruptly stops once the fade is incomplete. Is there a way to do this that I haven't seen? I'm using Streamlabs Desktop 1.12.3 in case that matters.
If you’re capturing an ultrawide monitor there is no way to do this.
Best option would be to crop, but you’re going to miss 1/3 of the game at the edges of each side of the screen….

If you upload with the web site, please ensure that your quit Streamlabs Desktop or at least have the properties for the Alert Box not open.
theres nothing there to upload images to the media
Click the alert type you are working with then go down to the image or sound field and you can access either gallery there.

How to remove Black Bars from your stream
- In Windows Display Settings, you would need to make sure you have a 16:9 monitor resolution (Typically 1920x1080)
- In the game you're playing, you would want the render resolution to be 16:9 as well. (Basically matching info from above)
- In Streamlabs Desktop > Settings > Video > Base Resolution, that would also need to be 16:9 resolution (Same as above)
If any of those things are not being done, then your stream is not going to be true 16:9 and your game will have black bars.
- You can select the capture source in your sources list > right click it > transform > fit/stretch to screen, should help```

Hi there, I am having an issue with SLOBS where my mini feed is not updating and didn't update with my new followers I gained tonight nor did the notification go off for them following (both visual and audio) at all. I was wondering what I could do to remedy this situation.
I have already checked my alert label to make sure everything is set up correctly, I logged out and in of Twitch and SLOBS I reset my cache, I made a new alert label.
If anyone could lend a hand that would be fantastic.

Check please on the Variations settings if you have a variation like the alert you have seen that is causing these. If not, please clear cache of the Alert box source on your SLabs Desktop / OBS Studio 🙂

You have a variation so it is possible that on that variation is the previous text/settings you are watching. If you only use one setting, you can delete the variation and all will working good 👍

actually i figured out what to do there, but the custom commands are still being said by Streamlabs and not my custom name
whenever i try start a stream on mobile usign a scren capture it immediatly ends the stream and says that screen capture permissions were revoked

Hey there! I recently became affiliate on Twitch (yay!) and I've had my first sub offline - I saw message in chat that someone subbed, but got nothing in my mini-feed. The stream labels also didn't capture the subber unfortunately and thus I am confused. I checked my filters and everything else - everything is in order. I just feel little stupid going live and not having my first sub's name on the label and thus I am here, perhaps someone has come across this? :/

Congratulations on getting Affiliate! To resolve this follow the instructions from the bot below. Just follow the section for Twitch. Please be sure log where it says to log out.

Hey all, I've run the known issues post for my alert box twice now. Still no dice - is any one around who can suggest additional steps? I'm not getting any notifications from follows to subs to bits or raids. My testing of the widget will show up as expected but the minifeed and recent on my streamlabs dashboard isn't updating at all.
Sorry about that. This happens as Affiliate sends more data than the regular API. So refreshing the connection solves that.
I'm curious about the new Kick platform. I'm currently setting up overlays but I cannot find a way to set up widgets or alerts on streamlabs. I'm using OBS Studio to stream with. But there is no way to log into streamlabs with Kick like Twitch and YouTube. Does Streamlabs not accept Kick and will they in the future?

Are the extracted files in the Downloads folder? If so, sometimes Windows can be picky about allowing access to files in the Downloads because it wants to prevent bad things from happening. I would create a folder on the top of your C drive, say a folder called Streaming Assets and copy the files there then try and add them from that location.
At this time, Streamlabs doesn't have an estimation of when we'll have native broadcasting to Kick.com. In the mean time, you can stream to Kick via Custom Ingest, here's a guide to get your started:

No known issue with that that I'm aware of at this time.
Try running a bunch of speed tests and make sure your upload speed is consistent and isn't fluctuating.

I've literally run this set of steps yesterday and used a new account to follow no success. Uninstalled and reinstalled to ensure I had the newest desktop version, Also didn't work. Then I repeated the steps in the post again a second time with a second new throwaway account - also no success. Twitch recognizes the follow went through but streamlabs says I haven't seen any of my followers in the last three days.

Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

There's no need to do that. The Primary account, in your case Facebook, holds all the data for your account like your scenes and sources, merch shop, donation history, etc. Changing the Primary can lose all that data.

You mean you're not getting alerts for subscriptions on YouTube?
This is due to a privacy setting on YouTube and cannot be 'fixed' inside Streamlabs.
By default, YouTube accounts have their subscriptions set to Private. This means if a someone subscribes to your channel, Streamlabs can't detect that subscription and thus won't alert you.
The subscriber (the person watching your live stream), would need to make the subscriptions Public before subscribing to your channel in order for Streamlabs to detect the event and alert you.

My subscriptions are Public (the setting is toggled off).
And remember, its up to the viewer to change this setting. Changing on your channel won't help.

The setting on your channel won't affect this. The viewer (like me), would have to change this setting. And they would have to change it BEFORE subscribing to your channel. Changing it afterwards has no effect on events that were not captured because of this setting.

You would need to enable track 2 on the microphone. As you have it now, the microphone won't go to the VOD.
Anything you want to be in the VOD, has to be enabled on track 2 in the Advanced Audio Mixer.
That's assuming you have Track 2 selected with the Twitch VOD option.

i already do that. my problem is that the desktop audio source plays the alerts from the alertbox so in the end it isn't separated because the alertbox audio ends up on the desktop audio track

You'll have to wait for a new Follow. This won't go back and capture events that were missed.

If you're not seeing new Follows in the Alert Box or your Mini Feed, you will want to follow those steps.
If you're just a moderator, then the streamer will need to follow those steps.

The End Credits Widget only works when live. Are you multistreaming or just streaming to one platform?

Ah, that would be your Output Resolution. Go to Settings -> Video and in the Output Resolution, swap the two values.
For example if it show 1080x1920, make it read 1920x1080.

Hello. For a few months now Streamlabs has been freezing completely when I try to work on my webcam settings, I figured this would've been fixed by now in updates. Now it's freezing as I'm trying to start stream twice when I start to type the game into the twitch section of start stream it completely freezes.
I should mention I also reinstalled streamlabs a few times during these freezings.

So I have been fighting with this for a week or two now, I am no longer able to unlock my sources or adjust them at all. They lock and unlock just fine, but the windows are not able to be grabbed, resized or moved in any way I can transform them by right clicking, but never can get them to go where I want! Any help would be amazing so I can get my stream to look the way I want! Thanks!
Go into the Layout Editor. Swap out the Stream Preview for the Editor Display. Then click Save Changes at the top right.

Couldn't find anything for this but I'm changing how my sub alerts go and want the TTS to be delayed until after the alert happens. However I still want the text of who subbed to appear with the alert itself. the text delay slider lets me do the first part but not the second. If anyone could point me in the right direction i would be very grateful

That should work but the variables for Cloudbot are all lower case. Can you edit the response and make them lower case and test it out in your chat?

You're using Whisper so you'd have to check your Whispers.
If you want it to just appear in chat directly, take off the /me portion.

Sub Emotes are a problem since Streamlabs won't ever be a subscriber to your channel.
Ideally, I would just use Windows emotes (press Windows-.) and then find/type the emote toy want.
Hello, can someone help me? Whenever I start up my stream my headset only plays loud static. Sounds like its just increasing my volume 2000% to make it distorted on my end. The stream cant hear it, but only I can through my headset

Hey @grave kindle I saw you typing and was testing in my own channel. How are you doing? I found that !so won't work with your own channel so test with another channel.
Still doesn't work... however I did notice that there was no Streamlabs Dashboard under connection in Twitch, but there was a Streamlabs Studio and I disconnected that.... as you can see other commands work.
Streamlabs Studio is the previous name for Streamlabs Console which lets you stream from an Xbox to Twitch using Streamlabs.
The shoutout command won't work with your own channel.

Let's double check a couple of other settings. In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Settings -> Advanced and scroll down and screen shot the two Audio sections. Like mine...

The Streamlabs console link takes me here. I then click on my email and then it takes me to: On a different note Streamlabs Studio was the ONLY Streamlabs connection listed in Twitch, nothing less was connected with Streamlabs.

Hey I have a question. Lately my stream has been dropping its bitrate. I set up my settings to 4.5k kbps then it drops all the way to 900 kbps. I didn't change my setting at all and this started happening since yesterday. I checked my upload speed and its about 18-20 in average which I don't think its too bad from my settings. It be really great if someone could help me out

Please run this twitch test tool to find out the best server (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest). Be sure to run the test for either Medium or Long, as short won't give you the most accurate results and be sure to select your region from the listed options (if the regions are not applicable to you, please select 5-6 servers that are near you). You're looking for at least a quality of 84.
Once you've found a good server go to Settings > Stream > Stream to custom ingest and you can manually select your server.

Hello everyone! Having an issue with my minifeed. It's not updating or showing the alerts. I tried logging in and out and uninstalling and reinstalling streamlabs but no luck. Strange because it wasn't an issue until a couple of days ago. Is there anything else I can do?
Yes, that's obviously not ideal. Let's try the below steps and see if we can get an improvement.
- Shut down your PC.
- Unplug the power from your cable modem and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes.
- Plug cable modem back into power.
- Once cable modem is fully back up, boot up your PC and run the Twitch Test again.
This was an issue two weeks ago which was resolved. Please follow exactly the steps in this post <#known-issues message>
NOTE These steps won't go back and recover events that were missed. You'll have to wait for a new follow (not an unfollow/refollow).
You'd need to reach out to your ISP then. The problem is outside Streamlabs. Its between your connection and the Twitch ingests.
If you can, I would try connecting via ethernet cable to your cable modem instead of Wifi. The wired connection offers a more stable connection.
Sometime though due to a long distance to the cable modem makes this not feasible.
Another site you can try is https://stream.twitch.tv/ingests/ You can use the recommendation given there in Streamlabs Desktop by adding a custom destination and choosing the RTMP URL and plugging in your Twitch stream key. @tidal thorn

You are going to need to work with your ISP to figure out why you have no upload to twitch. That’s going to be beyond the scope of what we can do here. Once you have quality numbers on the twitch test and can verify it is working then we can assist with the Streamlabs services.

If you can't get those to work, then use Window Capture rather than Game Capture.

Sorry, I can't provide support in a call. Are you using Streamlabs Desktop or some other software like OBS Studio or are you on a mobile device like an iPhone or iPad?

Once an app has been granted permissions, they shouldn’t be revoked unless there is some change to the OS or a user modified the settings

Okay. That's the Game Capture source. From what I've been able to find, Game Capture won't work with Roblox.
So do this (follow exactly, don't skip steps, don't go out of order):
- Hover over on the Game Capture source and left click the eyeball 👁️ icon. This hides the source.
- Click on the + sign in the Source panel.
- Click Window Capture under General Sources.
- Click Add Source.
- Click Add Source again.
- In the Window drop down menu, choose the Roblox window.
- Click Done.
Let me know if that works or not.

Can someone give me a hand please? Im having issues with audio, my stream mix on streamlabs is bypassing my goxlr noisegate and picking up everything. I never had any issues until I added a VOD track, and now even when i revert back to the old setup it still picks up every single noise through my mic
I have no idea how its even possible to bypass the noisegate since the actual stream mix doesnt show any noise coming through in the sound control panel
Its almost like streamlabs is somehow independently hearing the mic, it makes no sense
That's a complex setup. I've got no direct experience using the GoXLR. Do you still have the Twitch VOD option enabled?
I do, but ive turned it off and I still have the same issue. I know its not a GOXLR issue because everything is working fine with the goxlr setup. Its a problem specifically with streamlabs

Are you using Streamlabs Desktop?

Do you have all the audio tracks selected?
Can you verify that your audio devices are set to Broadcast Stream Mix and have not changed to something else?

This is the issue
Select all 6 channels. I've seen Twitch VOD track not work as expected if all 6 tracks are not selected.
Remove that and route it to the broadcast stream mix and use a fader to control the volume
Just did that, all settings are reverted back to normal, no VOD track, and still have the same issue
And you have confirmed in the properties of the broadcast stream mix that it’s using the actual broadcast stream mix channel?

As you can see in the sound panel, no audio is being picked up. In the source of "broadcast mix" it is being picked up. In properties of the broadcast stream mix the device is set to the correct device.
If you’re having issues with graininess, you need to light the green screen surface better. It’s not able to distinguish the color enough to apply the color key
Just silently humming next to the mic and somehow streamlabs hears it when nothing else can

The gate is correct. I monitor the mic so I can hear myself. I can hear when it kicks in
I cant even hear it through my headset, but somehow streamlabs can
My suggestion is going to be to hop into the GoXLR discord and reach out to their support.

No im in it, but again, everything on the GOXLR is working perfectly, even the broadcast stream mix on goxlr's side is working, its not bypassing the gate anywhere except for streamlabs

Wait this might help, no matter what I change the device to under the Stream mix properties its still picking it up

{1} Click your Start Menu in Windows and type "Change system sounds" and hit enter. Click the Playback tab and/or Recording tab and right-click your microphone/headphones and click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box for Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device. You should also do this for your microphone/headphones under the respective tab.
Make sure the box is unchecked on all your GoXLR inputs/outputs

You can just record if you like. You don't have to stream in order to record (but you can do that).
It appears there are two options at this point:
• open a ticket with streamlabs
• ask the GoXLR team for support

Currently Streamlabs Desktop isn't capable of that. You can only have the one Output Resolution.

yes beacouse viewers can watch only one
Twitch guarantees transcoding only to Partners and then to Affiliates if any is left over and then only to any one left. Its not guaranteed that you will get transcoding.

I searched around but haven't seen this problem anywhere. My viewer list is not showing up in Streamlabs Chatbot. I have viewers, I can see it on twitch, but none show up in the list in Chatbot.
