Yes the 8k mouse only work on CPU that supports it features you can turn the mouse features down if you buy new mouse with out 2020 CPU.

Yes Xbox and playstation support the 8k features but not sure who doing console drivers.

You can try BestBuy razer web site as well as Amazon. But it seems Amazon is just picking up items from other stores and shipping them to customers a few people at least.. Thank to them for helping sell stuff. Also 7.1 sound is better try Ubisoft update games with support.

I have fond memory of owning the 2005 Razer Copperhead. Recently I was looking for a new mouse, and the latest "Ultimate" models seemed excellent so I thought I'd have a great time coming back to the brand from my teenage years.

Instead I found an absolute garbage quality control and wanted to warn others. My experience:

1. Buy Viper Ultimate - Wheel noisy/rattling from the start. Getting worse every day. Refund.
2. Buy Basilisk Ultimate - Wobbles on LMB press (my other mice do not, the surface is even).
3. Replacement - Works wired, but wireless cuts out / misses mouse presses (verified with online tool).
4. 2nd Replacement - Wheel issue just like the first Viper Ultimate.
5. 3rd Replacement - Checked and wobbles on surface like the first one.

Please do not call that "unlucky", it implies some degree of this being unexpected. It lets them off the hook a little.

4/4 of the basilisk mice actually had some amount of the wobble. 2nd & 3rd simply was minor enough (present on hard surface but not on mat) that I wouldn't have sent back had there not been another defect to go with it.

I would love someone to unpack 10+ mice and check with high precision tool. I've never had a single mouse in my life - even dirt cheap ones - that wobble on a table.

I don't have proof (such as a high precision measurement) but I would bet money on this being a design flaw. In which case they would be aware of it. Which would (in America) make it lawsuit worthy.

I use a mouse pad an xxl mouse pad. Since i have a glass desk the mouse wont work with the glass. And you can feel the resistance when you compared wired to wireless honestly. While a mouse bungee wont totally replicate a wireless mouse it significantly reduces friction caused by the wire

Also, it's £150. It should not be uneven. That's not exactly a big ask. I've had 10+ mice and countless mice in various offices I've been in. Never experienced this with any mouse and it doesn't happen on the Viper Ultimate iether

• 5/5 products with defect is luck factor rather than statistical significant

Hello. I got the Viper 8k and can confirm it works perfectly on Kovaaks and Apex Legends (contrary to RJN’s review). I also tested on a Voltiac Kovaaks benchmark and hit a new high score on Kovaaks within 3 attempts. Later that day I moved from top 350 to rank 49 on that Voltaic scenario. Imho not placebo effect. 😊
