For your BlackShark you need the S/N, it's usually under the box or inside the cushions.

And for the Ornata, I'd check if it's original by trying to registering it.

If you get an error of "Invalid S/N" or "Change the I for 1, 0 for O", it's probably fake.

If you get "Already registered", it means that it has been used before OR it's probably also fake.

I recently got the blackwidow v4 pro, but I want to mod it heavily

This is my first time with an actual mechanical, but I don't know if I like these switches yet, and I really really wanted it hot swappable

The first thing is that I notice the two mounting holes for different custom switches are missing, but the switches legs are still the same I believe

I was curious if mill max would work on these, I was thinking I could try it on one switch

Worst comes to worst I desolder the mill max, remove it, and then just resolder the switch back in, and even with the two mounting holes missing, I wonder if the switches clamp to the aluminum part here instead, wouldn't need them then

Saw that Razer just announced a bluetooth version of the V3 Wolverine controller. The Wolverine V3 Pro has been my favorite controller by far. I've tried the Elite Series 2, Ultimate 2, and a few others but I keep coming back to the Wolverine. I particularly like the clicky feel of the buttons and the way that the controller just sits in the hands.

I have to admit though that the most annoying part about the controller (as a non competitive and casual gamer) is that I've always wanted a bluetooth option. I want to be able to use it for my handheld PC and frankly, always don't want to be carrying around a dongle. I've used enough bluetooth controllers to know that the latency is not noticeable on my end for the games that I play.

I got super psyched when I saw the announcement of a bluetooth version of the controller but at the same time, I noticed that the triggers don't have locks so you can't just adjust the force travel for them like the Wolverine V3 Pro has. Not sure why this was removed since it was a feature I used all the time and it's hard to go back from if you don't want to push down your triggers all the way. Secondly, I'm wondering if there will be a version of the V3 Pro where they support both bluetooth and 2.4ghz. A lot of controllers these days like the Ultimate 2 from 8BitDo support both so I find it a bit annoying that Razer is pushing out controllers with either one option or the other.

Also, for the NewGen Iskur V2, will Razer offer a trade in program for those that just recently bought their Iskur V2 in the last year? The timing of this kind of stinks for those that just bought the V2 version of this recently.

I've been thinking about the possible customizations for Project AVA, namely voice/appearance/personality, and thought of a "what to do" if someone you know specifically decides to model it after these fictional AI's:

Lt. Commander Data (Trek) or Cortana (Halo): Safe bet nothing gross is happening here, but keep an eye to make sure they don't become too emotionally dependent like Picard or Master Chief did.

A.M. (I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream): Nope. No. Bad. Avoid. If the person wasn't planning on killing you already then Gamer-AM is not gonna have a hard time convincing them.

Any A.I. from Portal: Coin-toss for intent, but thankfully very few of those characters were written to be reliably competent.

Sonny (I Robot): I don't wanna be mean, but I think this person just wanted a child.

343 Guilty Spark (Halo): No idea why someone wants a yes-man with sinister vibes, so you're on your own.

Emergency Medical Hologram (Trek): Clearly someone wants professionalism with a healthy amount of sarcasm, so they wanted Cortana but didn't want people making inappropriate assumptions.

As far as I know, they can't offer you to repair the product (if it's not a laptop or something fixable) because if the repair wasn't done properly or the product has another failure, the double shipping again will increase the costs, that's why they offer a full new brand product to prevent the situation of the reparation not being properly done or there's something wrong with the built of the product and a new working model to the user.

You have sent me a Razer Wolverine V2 Pro as a replacement unit, which was shipped specifically from the United States. The controller was new and still sealed in its original packaging. I would like to formally register my deep indignation with Razer. What should be a high-performance ecosystem has turned into a sequence of frustrating experiences, with products that seem to have a programmed expiration date and a post-sales support that simply ignores the customer's investment.

1. The Huntsman Elite Case: A "Top-of-the-Line" with no repair
   In March 2020, I purchased the Huntsman Elite. At that time, this keyboard was being marketed for premium prices (around $200 USD / R$ 1.500,00), standing as the brand's absolute flagship launch, featuring the then-new optical switch technology. I bought it directly from Razer under a special condition, believing I was securing the best product available.A little over a year later, the keyboard's LEDs began to fail. When I contacted Razer, the response was unbelievable: they claimed they could not provide maintenance because a "circuit track was damaged" and they no longer offered support for this keyboard. How can a product of this value, sold as the brand's "Elite," become obsolete and lack replacement parts in less than two years?

2. The Viper Ultimate Case: Faulty Charging and Dead Battery
   In April 2020, I invested in the Viper Ultimate, which was also the flagship wireless mouse launch at the time, retailing at top-tier prices. Again, purchased directly from Razer.The experience was disastrous:The Charging Dock: It worked properly for only 2 months. After that, it became a daily struggle with poor contact until it reached the point of being completely unusable.Cable and Battery: The original cable broke with absurd ease, forcing me to buy a third-party replacement. The battery degraded (became "vitiated") in less than a year, and even charging via cable now suffers from connection issues. Disposable Products, Disposable ConsumersThe conclusion I have reached is that Razer treats its products as merely disposable items. They sell the "Elite" aesthetic and marketing but deliver components that do not last and a support system that abandons the customer the moment the warranty expires.This is a warning: To Razer, both the hardware and we, the consumers, are disposable. If you are looking for durability and respect, stay away from this brand.

proly i think cost of the boomslang under the glass is around the same as the actual mouse, since you get led + glass frame

based on technology 1 mouse with same set of tech cost around 170 pounds

it doesnt have charger with it, so add another 40 pounds + for frame

so it should be around 210 pounds for mouse and around the same for frame

now, razer definitely paid a lot for the design , and since only 1337 are made it reasonable to ask bigger overpay + packaging

so i could accept something like 30 pounds for packaging and another 100-150 pounds for design

so in total it should be 600-650 pounds ( it already includes a certain profit margin , since we making calculations based on other razer products)

1337$ is 988 pounds , so razer asks almost 400 pounds more than they ideally should

so unless they used a better materials this price is not justified

also i forgot to mention but theoretically warranty for this mouse could be much better compared to cheaper models ( it is less likely that razer wont honour their warranty compared to 160 pound mouse)

Also I just noticed that boomslang does use a different materials compared to other translucent devices, also build scheme is different they are essentially packing all of the latest tech in a smaller form factor , so it potentially uses a different set of components

no way boomslang mouse would use worse materials than signature viper mini, it is definetly on par with it in terms of materials or better

I mean cost of the material itself doesn't matter that much compared to the refinement and engineering , same can be said for raw metal that is used to make watches etc. So idk we have to see how good and complex build quality is

razer reported 24% gross profit margin , so if you apply this logic we can calculate as follows 634-634 by 0.24=481 then (481+x)+(481+x) by 0.24=900 (final estimated cost (-130$ to account for 1337$ value number)), we get x=260 , so assuming that their profit margin stayed the same and they added extra 100-150$ to bring value to 1337 we conclude that value of the materials would cost 720-741 pound to razer after during all of the processing of the materials and engineering

so at this point it seems fair , i think it is possible than engineering could have costed around 340k dollars (razer rarely update their line significantly and this is a whole ass mouse , so it would make sense)
