Sup, I have recently bought Blacksharks v2 hyperspeed. I was into it because of the price, wireless.bt and wired options as well as 7.1. Although the 7.1 seems non existent for me? I was trying to play some overwatch 2 with thx enabled but damn i got lost in the sound, I was never sure where the sound comes from. Anyone could help me with correct settings?

You have a stereo strapped to your head, one speaker per ear.

It isn't multiple speakers, like you get with a surround setup.

The 7.1 just uses some weird sound mongulation to try trick your ears into hearing it's a wider sound stage than it actually is..

I don't know, every time I use it, sound just becomes horse shit.

If you hear both channels in one side, you've got some fucked up surround sound profile on that you need to turn off.. (In my opinion)

I just received my Blackshark v2 Pro (2023) today.
I do only want to use them for gaming - may I ask, how do I set them up "optimal" for FPS Games? (If possible, for Delta Force)
I tried THX Stereo and THX Spatial Audio and can't seem to hear any difference.
Also, when I click on "THX Spatial" as Sound output, I can't hear anything from any audio device.

also, do I use the Windows DTS Headphone:X setting, or not?

Alright so I'm starting to notice a trend that basically every Razer thing I buy degrades really quickly. I just got a new Basilisk mouse because that, to be fair, lasted a year which had daily use, but I have a razer bungee V3 which I bought in store a while back for £60 (Yeah overcharged by an absolute ton, Amazon has them £25). The issue with the Bungee which I only noticed the other day, the rubber grippers which hold the cable have totally snapped off somehow. Has anyone else found that? Any ideas for a simple repair other than gluing the cable in?

The app was forcing me to download THX Spatial in order for my headset to not auto shutoff, so I downloaded it and now I have to restart my PC every time I want to use any audio. I switched the battery on the V3 Hyperspeed with a AAA battery mod and a lithium battery which reduced the weight down a good bit.

The Razer Cobra Pro weight to me seems very similar to my old Razer Viper Ultimate and Razer Viper 8KHz.

Lemme tell you guys, I don't think those kind of weights are that much of a deal. I went from a DaV3 wired to a Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed and, even tho it's heavier, it doesn't feel like it's 2x heavier

I ordered a huntsman v3 pro full size a few weeks ago and it came with the same issue, I could hear it from the other side of my room. the technical term is “coil whine” which is the electrical wires and components inside vibrating due to a high current passing through them causing them to make a high pitched sound

it’s a known issue on the huntsman line

i returned mine and I went with the huntsman v2 red switch instead and it’s a lot better

I think Razer software (just Chroma installed) CPU usage using only Freyja haptics cushion is too high.

Razer software is using 4.05% of my Ryzen 5950X 16 core CPU, 656 MB of RAM and 3.16 MB/s of I/O rate just to send vibrations to a cushion...

I already contacted Customer Support and after making me send all Windows logs a week later they say this CPU usage is "normal".

I severely DISAGREE.

I am not even using any Synapse. I just installed Razer Chroma, which seems to be the only software needed to have Freyja working.

Using 3-4% CPU power of a Ryzen 5950X 16 core CPU for a software to tell a cushion to vibrate is ridiculously high.

If you want to go wired yeah, defiinitely the Kraken V4 X ; if you prefer Wireless then I'd go with the Barracuda X

If you want the best mic quality tho the Blackshark V2 is the way to go

viper also doesn't have dock or wireless charging compatibility
