Im using Razer Barracuda both on my phone and my pc its pretty good but if you are using it like 20h a day like me the plastic corrodes over time (or atleast i have that problem xd)

But overall its a good wireless/bluetooth headphone (there are not many hot swappable headphones like that)

I recommend it very much + earpads are so soft i can wear it for a long time without having a headache (i have migrane so its really important for me)

Hi I have created a couple test profiles, and stored to huntsman mini on-board memory, then I close synapse and of course I expect to keep it, but current profile is lost, and I cannot switch profiles either anymore with the assigned keys. That depends on what is causing the error. Have you made any changes to your hardware or drivers lately? If so, that's the first thing to check. Roll back updates or go back to last known good config of hardware and software. If error goes away, whatever changed is likely the cause. If you still are getting errors, pay attention to what you are doing when it happens. Launching a game or app? Idle doing nothing? Waking up from being asleep / off? Etc

I received my Razer Deathadder v2 pro today. when I plug the dongle, windows starts plug/unplug sound in loop so it does not work. It works when connected via the included USB cable.

Use Stereo and Windows Sonic.

Surround Sound.

I'm quite sure that surround sound works on BS V2 Pro

I used 2 versions of them already.

If you get into the game and you can tell where the footsteps are. Then surround sound is working.

Check the stereo settings.

Make sure the audio is in stereo (2 channels) not mono (1 channel).

There should be other settings that clearly specify you're either in stereo or mono.

It should be somewhere in mixing settings.

There is another one.

If not, try to reinstall the audio driver.

Also, turn this one on.

Should be in there if I remember it correctly.

Still, you should reinstall the driver before you look for it just to make sure that you have everything as it should.

If you could, try to swap out the headsets to see if the issue is on the headset or no.

Maybe it has something to do with it being a PS version ig.

My BS v2 Pro both 2020 and 2023 works fine with surround sound.

My theory is that your unit doesn't have 2 separate channels for both audio and mic so they combine it together and it mushes everything.

I didn't have the PS version so I couldn't say much.

I think if you still couldn't fix it... Just return it.

Hi, I have a Razer Tartarus Chroma that I use with Elite Dangerous. I finally decided to upgrade to the Tartarus V2. I bought it, installed it, set up 3 profiles and was using the Tartarus happily. Only one problem. It did not load automatically on startup. I had to click the synapse icon and then load the tartarus to get it to work. Idea! Contact support and have them help me!
"Uninstall and reinstall". OK, exported my profiles just in case and did that, and installer locks looping this box. So, uninstalled and got the "latest" synapse, synapse4.

"Backwards compatible with Synapse 3 devices." it said. Yay.
Installed it and my profiles are not found. OK, Import my profiles since it's backwards compatible. Guess what. It's not. The software only looks for .synapse4 files. Mine is a .synapse3 file. Hmmm... copy/pasted file and renamed to .synapse4. Nope, still doesn't work.

Contacted support again to get the older synapse3 software. Explained everything to him and his response was "So synapse4 is not seeing your Tartarus, right?" What an idiot! Apparently he did not read my carefully worded message. I had to ask if he was a bot or a person, because a real person could not possibly be that stupid right? Then he tried to patronize me telling me he is a customer too and would be upset... that did it. I am now reloading all 3 of my profiles maually, something that took hours to do initially.

This sucks. Razer support sucks.

it's best if you have more patience communicating w/ Customer Service Representatives, they deal w/ people all day everyday, they make mistakes too. Also, you can easily get Synapse 3 via their website, you could have also just searched "Razer Synapse 3 Download" via Google

Hey i dunno if this is a good place to ask this kind of thing, I want to get some new headphones to go with my Razer Mixer, and they need to be 3.5mm jack. The issue is I want my new headphones to be cute. I liked the look of the Kitty Kraken V2 headphones but they only have a USB A cable, and the only jack headphones from razer are not my thing at all. Ive also looked on Logitech, and couldn't find anything nice really.

for keyboard, if you want good latency, go wired. latency difference between pretty much every wired keyboard will be very very similar (for actually decent keyboards- e-waste keyboards and trash tier keyboards might have worse latency). what matters more is the actual feel of the keyboard, and switch type. there's lots of options that can be good.

if you're not sure what you're looking for, unfortunately you won't really know until you've used one for a while and figure out what you do and don't like

your main options would either be speed switches (from kailh or cherry) or magnetic (hall effect) switches, there's lots of options for those

tldr: actuation is how far down it needs to go before it activates, reset is how far up it needs to go before you can activate it again

too low of an actuation point can lead to a lot of accidental presses in my experience

there's also different styles of switch, linear and tactile are the main ones. linear is a clean press all the way down, tactile has a "bump" or a point where more force is needed, so you can physically feel the actuation point. some people like that, some don't

personally, I'm a fan of clicky switches, which are tactile switches that make a clicky sound. I've found that I like kailh speed gold and pink quite a lot, although that's completely down to preference, because I like clicky switches.

a "faster" switch isn't necessarily better, because if you're accidentally pressing keys a lot, it doesn't help you. some people LOVE switches with super low actuation points, some don't

some people LOVE linear switches and hate clicky, and vice versa

unfortunately a lot of it is down to preference, there's no real wrong answers. the best case scenario is that you find a switch that you're comfortable using

there's graphs that can show your the actuation and reset points, but if you're not familiar with that type of graph they might be a little weird to look at at first

(also something I said earlier is wrong- not all tactile/clicky switches have the actuation and pressure bump in the same spot, a lot are either synced or right after the bump though)

if you're just looking for the fastest switch on the market, look at magnetic switches. some keyboards have software that you can use to adjust the actuation and reset points on the magnetic switches, which is cool

try turning off the EQ and 7.1 effects and see if it happens, the EQ that automatically applies for the razer 7.1 application was causing occasional audio clipping for me, which sounded like crackling and glitching

personally I like having hot swappable switches

and I specifically wanted to keep my function keys

so the rk84 was perfect for me. hot swappable, RGB, two wireless modes, and wired (although I always use it wired because the latency is better)

some razer keyboards do have the adjustable actuation point, although I believe wooting offers the same thing on some models with more features

So I bought a razer ornata v3 tenkeyless keyboard and a razer balisik v3 mouse both for my macbook to work at home and installed razer macos to be able to customize the rgb lights. idle temps don't really matter much, because at low heat loads, a lot of coolers by default have a fan curve optimized to stay quiet. if you're staying at or below 94c on the CPU and at or below 85c (although the hotspot can go above 100c and be fine) on the GPU, you'll be okay

I will correct myself. the update has been out for a while, although the actual implementation of it was up to motherboard manufacturers, and the fix was issues through a bios update. different manufacturers released their updates at different times, some as late as September. as far as I am aware, all boards from the major manufacturers do have an updated bios out now

my other recommendations stand. consider this if you want, I know it's $150 more than your initial build. I think the extra graphics card performance is worth it personally, but that's up to you to decide.

it would depend on your specific workflow and what you do, which you obviously would know better than me. finding benchmarks for it is a bit weird. pugetbench places 12900k ahead for "multi core" by about 10%, but for their in house tests have 13600k placed slightly above 12900k in "overall" for premiere pro. in Photoshop, 13600k wins because it has faster IPC, and Photoshop is essentially single threaded. techpowerups benchmarks for it are weird, so idk what to make of them.

unfortunately pugetbench stopped doing their live playback benchmarks, because they couldn't get consistent results

if I'm not stupid, premiere pro does make use of GPU acceleration, so a better GPU could be nice to have

especially for live playback

I know real time playback on aftereffects can be affected pretty heavily by memory bus

which is pretty bad on a 4060

so a 3060 might actually be an upgrade for you there

although I'm not that informed about how adobe makes use of certain features, so I'm probably missing something that the 40 series has to offer

if you're worried about real time playback, a better GPU is worth it for you over a slight CPU win imo

Pretty much a lot of software uses GPU Accel already.

And it reduces shittons of time when you use it.

So it's better to just buy a middle tier CPU and invest in a good GPU.

I still really strongly recommend a better GPU, the 4060 is decent, but the severely cut memory bandwidth and overall lack of power will be noticeable if you're trying to do live playback in aftereffects and premiere pro

it's not much different from a 3060 for gaming, but for productivity I think the 3060 wins

but with how close the 13600k is, you'd be better off sacrificing <10% CPU performance for nearly double the GPU power

export times are on the GPU, but that's not that big of a deal for most people. 4070 will have much better export time tho.
