Most the time you only get bass boosted sound which will be off for anything but gaming. If you want a pair of good gaming headphones get a actual pair of FLAT headphones and equalize them to the sound you want
You can't fix built in bad equalization but you can tweak flat headphones to sound like gaming headphones

I didn't really understood your question but from what I know the Blackshark V2 X has a single jack 3.5mm but it also comes with a splitter that you can use for seperate mic,audio ports. Using the single 3.5mm will work as both audio and mic so it will work just as fine.
So I'd say that if you have the 2 jack ports audio/mic available in your machine then use them.

meaning they can only SEND noise to the headphones
when that is the case, you cannot plug in a headset which has a microphone, the audio jack cannot accept the mic

Think about it. A cable has two points. One was plugged in to the computer. Then you added tension when you pulled it. Causing premature failure at probably the weakest point. Which is right before the cable gromet that connects it to the mouse.

I'd say build your own because it is kind of fun a little bit and you can make it how you want compared to getting a custom it cost like hundreds of more dollars prebuilds are really expensive too and it's hard to find the exact one you are looking for for your specific needs
