sounds nice
Does anyone know how to do the high pitch inward bass?
bro just thinks he knows but he doesnt icl
Only reason im giving him any benefit of doubt is his bass does sound more relaxed like a fry then throat bass or unsync vibration
Has a certain lax to its air pressure/texture i only hear with fry stufd
Besides that i doubt it lol
I mean even then its not that relaxed, and also too loud; + anatomical differences
Ye, in one of his shorts he did where he built up to it in the bathroom there 3spesh it had the fry laxness
Oo smoother texture
Bass singing underutilized honestly
Hey! Can I ask- Is it possible to get resonance in the nasal with a soft hum? if so, how could I quickly access it during a sequence? Like not outward snore- Like I want to yell through my nose for the bass but do lip fills. It feels like it uses less energy. idk D: ty for any help.
Hmm
So like do a voice through the nose or an oscillation
Could you recommend me some practices? It takes me a long time to get my voice where I want it, then I don't feel like I'm practicing effectively while I'm there, ya know?
well no im tryna understand what you mean, like doing just voice or doing a bass oscillation/adding it on
cause they are very different difficulty wise
OH! my b- uh, I'm not good with terms. let me find a reference.
For me it feels what I am aiming for is what you did in the first sample, but with (vocal fry?) like batman voice. Doing it with the uvula feels 'thick' in my throat not as fluid, I have to fight from my tongue engaging. Maybe I figure out how to record my voice- I tend to come too a squeeky sound in my nasal when I try
hmm batman voice
perhaps vocalized chest bass
Yes- is there a way to seat the vibration higher? (higher in the throat)
like, chest base into the nose clearing sound?
hmm, do you mean switch into it or straight up have it in that spot
theoretically no, besides vocalized nasal uvula on a higher subharmonic
Hm- I am getting together a recording. Maybe subharmonics is what I need to look into?
subharmonics is important for all vocalized basses
okay- this, how do I clean this up?
sounds like someone stuffed rubber in my nose D:
oh that isnt even in the nose, thats screamo stuff
For sure- I feel it in my nose D: Is this a route to access bass? I def am not going for 'screamo' but I do want to incorporate some vocolizations into my routines
like, could I push past the squeek?
hmm, in this case, i BELEIVE, you are tensing just your voice, it might get a strange in the nose feeling due to how tight it is
screamo isnt as looked into for us
'tensing my voice' is making A LOT of sense too me!! THANK YOU- so basically, I'm barking up the wrong tree?
basically ya
most basses that involve tensing use things besides tensing up the voice, besides a few less common techniques
and besides high basses
im assuming you havent happened across my anatomy diagram have you
I did see them when I happened across your post! 😄
sick!
Is this a better angle for the bass? How can I visualize what is happening along with your diagram? I am realizing my frame of reference has been off
heres the fully upgraded diagram btw, the last one i posted on r/beatbox had evil in the wrong spot
wayyyy better positioning
is it okay if I zave this image?
hard to tell if its constricted singing or arytenoid constricted voice, but way better
ya ofc
all my resources are free to save
well in this case
this is the kind of constriction you want
constricted voice is different from strained or tight voice
constricted voice is typically using more the false folds
in this position, attempt to clear your throat
nice and low down btw, but clearing out the top
wowwowwowow WOW- bro you're blowing my mind rn
clear your throat like you have mucus covering your vocal chords
lol
theres alot that goes into this
WAT!! bet- I feel a tickle or like a looseness?
OHGHADAMN!!!
then you extend the throat clearing to one note, either on the first or second push up to you
i found doing it on the second clear (cause typically you go hmhm) is a little more consistant
lol
ya you hear that vibration? make sure to have your voice under it and train to relax it more
Focusing on the vibrations is definately what I'll be able to work on better- thank you thank you!! if I had the money i'd tip you!!!!
all bass comes with time
lol no need
remember, have your voice under it, in your recordings here you got rid of a bit of voice, as you relax the vibration make sure the voice is still active
and this is only one bass lol
For my mental- do I just 'remind' myself of the humming aspect when I get the vibrations going?
yes, generally it will come with time as well
I do want to be able to relax so I can train inhales- when I try to include like tongue inward I'm afraid of drowining
when you clear your throat make sure your voice stays active basically
like a vocalized throat clear
oh like clickroll?
Could I use DENIM DENUM?
hm?
Yes!
like vocalizations humming "denum" "benum" lip movemnts etc, idk
i would say after you get the bass consistant
after your bass gets atleast somewhat consistant you do vowel and interuption training, which the denum and benum would apply to
you are genious ty- so focus on the throat clear- 👌🏾
for now
werid question- green tea/ yerba while practicing. good or bad?
Thank you for this! I have a solid goal to reach for 🙏🏾
how long would you say you'd spend on focused throat clears? I'm starting to get 'fuzzy' - but also, like doing a little bit of like 'vocal stimming' through the day any helpful? or like, should I just hit my limit then rest?
vocal stimming throughout the day is quite good
mixed with when you hit your limit stop
bro, you are so cool! Thank you so much!!!!
im at like 74 basses now so generally i can help with a good bit
the bass collector!!! would be cool to have a shelf full of sound crystals (the reeps one ones), like a physical manifestation of your repertoire !
Woah! How does it work?

I definitely need to learn to be more organized with my sounds! The idea is so alien to me D:
You can recall all of your bass sounds by name?! Yeah I am lacking xD
lol
it gets easier the longer you do it and the more you chat with people or watch content in the community
I've been a shy hobbiest noise maker for a long time thanks too MiBII and Reeps one's Move video when I was younger! Coming here to learn has been a game changer for sure!
ye, the modern scene has changed ALOT
sounds that were rare back then are normal now
like vibration bass and inward bass
when I first saw sho-go; I felt like I woke up in a different universe for sure xD who are these aliens!?
Plus the people that come into this discord are INSANELY GOOD
ya lol
i only got into the community almost 4 years ago
i hadnt even heard it personally before that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ6lvcUeH_w&list=RDoJ6lvcUeH_w&start_radio=1 heres one of my fav tracks rn ngl, its crazy, and its not even complex bass wise just construction and other sounds are insane

Bro- Daftpunk has a residency in that guy's mouth waaaat
and its funny, i can name almost every sound he does
Beautiful!!! That needs to be my goal- understanding and identifying the sounds. being able to understand everything on a technical level seems indepensible for learning- like if I can't do the sound, I can break it apart and synthesize it~ bro, yes!!!
def watch gbb videos
how tf double inward use only arytenoids
feels impossible
either inward poly chest or other components are doing something as well
to me makes more sense than double uvula bass lol
not really
well, i guess ya if you look at the uvula simular to a tail it can kinda wiggle a bit
I mean the uvula is flexible so it acts more similar to how the vocal cords would in that way, the arytenoids are just fat ass inflexible cartilage
especially cus of vacuum effect I cant really imagine it
well just ordered my camera, supposedly will be here this week
less go
7.9 millimeter, which, best i could find
that wasnt scary garbage that would electricute my insides
How do you talk while doing vibration bass? I got vibration bass last month but it always fails whenever I try to say anything longer than a single syllable. Is it just a matter of practice?
yes
by 1 month ov vibration you will not be talking with it
even by 3 you might not
ok thanks
ye
gotta keep the hyoid bone and epiglottis stable while still articulating with the tongue, since hyoid and epiglottis position are influenced by tongue movement this takes extra training to get clean
ya, its easier with throat bass fully, vibration takes more training, espesh with how finnicky it is
comes ultimately with time
imma be real, I have no idea where those are
at the base of your tongue in your throat, your larynx is suspended from the hyoid bone
Vibration idk its early rn
@fervent crow I'm getting light headed asf- any tips?

I have been ping ponging between the vids he's linked
I get to a point with throat clearing it starts too feel raw D:
Barts i wanna say was the better tutorial? I went between alot of stuff
Thats entirely normal
For a normal person, throat bass will take maybe 2 weeks - a month to get down without the pain
ty! that takes away my hesitation
Maybe even 3 months if your pain is linked to your quality
Guess i can post this here too, example of even i in the morning dont have superb quality lol
Allways drink water and warm up
So you dont sound like this lol
when you're doing your throat clears or sustained vibrations/ humms- do yo ulet air escape from your nose?
Eh up to the person, do you mean when you do a sound nasally or orally
hmm- I can't tell. I can do a recording. From my perspective I feel like I'm 'pushing harder' and opening up? But, due too our previous chat, I'm aware now thatmy throat is tensing
I guess also it's different if my mouth is open or not x.x but I see what yo umean, each position is like a different sound
Eee not necissarily
Theres oral, nasal, and dual projection, they will lightly change the resonance and capabilities of a sound, but its still just throat bass
how to tighten the throat for hard bass
any normal thing we do, that is similar to tightening the throat
so hard bass is related to evil bass directly
same way you would tighten for that
aka when you forcefully gag or just over pressurize your throat
I am not sure if you have answered this yet but what are the steps to learning a throat bass (i am a beginner to beatbox and eventually would like to learn)
First, train constricted singing
Its a good warm up and helps train your false folds
Then once you get that down, clear your throat aggressivly and deep down in that spot, repeat until you can extend it
Then train from there
Thank you
space bass
how to do that
also how to make inward bass sound like it doesnt have a "shh", airy sound
for the inward, it comes with time, and also throat positions
My first tutorial video, and of my special sound Space Bass.
If you want more examples of it, you can find them on:
My tiktok: SpaceGCDV
Beginner Beatbox Community in my classroom
Beatbox Community in my bass forum
Or message me directly on discord: SpaceGCDV
for the first note about disconnect, neither can be viewed as wrong or incorrect, as ...
oh gotta start trying that tomorrow
any tips on lowering adams apple while doing inward bass
i can lower it normally but with inward bass it goes up
i mean, you dont really NEED to for inward, thats up to taste, heck i notice the lower it is the more airy it gets
OK, heres something INTERESTING for those who havent seen kindreds video, its a internal recording of my very own larynx
Ones just more vocalized the other isnt, your using too much jayton when you do the jayton method
The jayton and throat bass have to be balanced
Like that?
sounds like a wobbly 2nd undertone chest voice poly
going into breathy voice instead of maintaining jayton voice
I never really understood if it's actually vb bass, it's really confusing
i was listening to colaps this past week and I surprisingly find his vocalised chest bass similar to my "vb"
i mean theres no real jayton voice in that so that excludes vibration bass, then theres no kermit voice so it cant be tilted chest bass stuff like colaps; It might be your mic tripping me out but to me it sounds like your "methods" both use mostly breathy voice, which in one case results in a wobbly 2nd undertone chest voice poly, then the other uses that and tries layering it with jayton voice which works but is hard to do initally; So id say use jayton voice and tone down on the breathiness while keeping the vocal tone stable, or tone down the vocal note and only keep the whispered/breathy component
that weird wobble is just cus its basically not "constant"
idk hard to explain
itll just turn into the constant thing when pressurized more
mines gotten choppier lol
its all subharmonics
mine is normally around like 5th sub which sucks
ya, its how it gets so rolly
sadly if i have a good poly, after i do 5th sub 9/10 i lose it and it gets replaced
sounds like you want more tension in the back of the vocal cords
i mean you do have the endoscope to go investigate now
#shorts #endoscope #beatbox #bassresearch #facinating #vibrationbass
Its my first day training
Ty i wanted to know if im in the right path
yea
idek what you mean by that, the part closer towards your arytenoids
Honestly, the choppy polyphonic would be sick asf in a beat
Might go learn poly now
thats interesting
Is there any other polyphonic variations???
Theres the different subharmonics of falsetto poly, stitches for example is the same poly you're doinf but a higher sub
Then theres shield poly / low harmonic
Aka chest voice poly
Can become an insane bqss
Then theres inward poly like what collaps and mr androide use
Is there any tutorial on how to do them?
Also
Is polyphonic dangerous?
Like
My mom is worried and say if i keep doing i might get sick
Like a hard bass smt
No its not really dangerous, it can make you light headed if yoi use too much air
Most likely, im a bit too tired rn to make a tutorial though
Question, how does remix do the stagger in his base? like an example being at 3:50 in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTkjBnIbenI&t=308s
🎤🔥 Grand Beatbox Battle Solo Small Final: KAJI 🇯🇵 vs Remix 🇿🇦
The Grand Beatbox Battle 2024 reaches with the solo category the small final stage. Two exceptional artists, amazing beatbox battlers are on for the third-place title. Representing Japan, KAJI has demonstrated remarkable skill and energy throughout the competition....
tongue click I think
but that doesnt cause the stagger no? does he do it manualy?
or is it a skill issue on my end
not sure - i cant do inward bass, so I was taking a guess 😭
Could try a soft throat kick perhaps?
i dont have the skills to do that lol, not sure if its possible to do at the same time but yeah not sure
hes just going numnumnumnum i beleive, or its him doing his weird nasal click
in my very unprofessional opinion it sounds like something more towards a click, i mainly get that idea from the fact that the stagger sounds kinda elastic or like it snaps into place
well then i would say dumdumdum instead lol
wait you might actually be right lmao
i did it with close to his texture, its hard for me to consistantly hit his
that did give me an idea to do inward with suckerpunches
okay first off, thats sick, and yeah i think thats close
how do you go about obtaining that texture?
i had to learn locked inward, which basically means pressing your epiglottis against the back of your throat
then i had to learn constricted inward, then kinda combining the two and relaxing gets you close to his texture
theres a chance my normal texture though is more spacific to me cause my epiglottis is weirdly shaped
ah i think i get it
whats constricted inward?
or nvm i think i got it somewhat
although im not so sure if its dumdum, it does sound more like a click to me, but yet again thats my very unprofessional opinion
hm yeah i think i see it now
yeah thats what i assumed
thank you though, i think im getting close to his texture
space
do you know if its normal to lose the ability to fry after getting damn good at undertones??
my subs have gotten a lot better the last few months but now Im incapable of fry? Idk
Doesnt sound too far off, fry is extremely finicky
One off position can mess alot up
hmm ok
ok fun little thing thats screwing with me, you're trans fem, so is my girl friend, and both of your names are ember
more vocalization vibration bass
oop
also how do you get this compared to regular?
ok
I think its somekind of nasal click
or inward k
while doing the bass
ive heard that as another option
both give the same idea
frankley the dumdumdum is easier with his texture
@fervent crow Look at this
Developed that bass
You said it was either Nasal or Routrine correct?
Do you know any ways to train it to make it more clicky or nah?
Because I really want this to RATTLE
theres this, then the opposite of just alot of air and pushing, along with jaw positions to open more space
hey yall, i made another forum for this, but if anyone would wish to join my bass teaching/community server let me know! open for bass nerds, future bass nerds, and new people wanting to learn
or even pros who wanna learn
Sound closer to stitch vibration (poly voice with vibration ontop) than normal VB
Sounds like "nanana" to me
I can't even do normal poly 😭
I can barely do it
Sometimes on accident as well
When you say vibration ontop do you mean vibration bass or A vibration ontop
Cause poly + vibration is also called shield vibration, which is chest voice poly + vibration bass to get a very loud, full, and sharp sound
I know stitch does shield poly now, but have yet to hear him do vibration ontop of it
Mors just 2nd undertone
Vibration bass mb
Kk
Stitch did a vid watching the codfish elim and he said his vibration bass is used with poly
Talking about his own and not codfish? Just double checking
His own yeah
I would have to hear it cause last i checked stitch didnt even know throat bass
I swear I'm not trying to be confusing 😭
It was one of those sounds he just could never learn
It sounds super sick
Lms if I can find it rq
Ye
I mean ive heard a good bit of poly + vibration
Its one od those someone gets it then hunt for it again and again lol
Can't find it lol
Lol
Theres also an entire chance stitch is also just doing 2nd undertone shield poly
Which can sound ALOT like vibration and even sometimes feel like it
probably
that's what people meant when saying vibration poly
or vibration low poly
or anything like that
Question, has anyone used a inwards throat bass before or a vocal fry with your false vocal chords?
noone of big names
like its more a researched sound than a used sound
due to how its not exactly cooperative
Codfish, maybe?
I've heard him use it, but he's recently switched to inward chest
i dont even think he does inward chest
just sounds like a normal unspecial inward lol
anyone here know how to do osis’s special layered sound 😭 (laser whistle, lip oscillation, voice)
idk if it’s just a laser whistle done differently but i’m NOT able to get my lower lip loose enough to oscillate while doing a laser whistle.. if i make it loose, i lose the whistle
Try it with a fart bass position
just want to learn some basses
why is hollow inward liproll considered hard?
Hi everyone! I have a few questions!
- Does D-low inward bass use any air(inhale involved)?
- If there’s no air, then is it like doing vibration bass without the voicing?
yea
Hollowing the throat can be tricky enough, then liproll is a weird position to hold it in
Ya it uses air
All inwards and throat based basses do
Vibration bass also uses air, but is kinda unrelated to his inward
I mean, i would love some ideas of what, theres alot of basses (around 140 or so)
I learned hollow inward liproll at the same time as normal inward
Might just be good with hollowing your throat
So I need a lil help I just done 2 bass sounds using my tongue that sound different to normal tongue bass and I need help defining why they are
They sound like a tight middle, very close to the texture required for bass cannon
How do I do the bass cannon? Do you use your tongue or no?
pretty sure you use your leg for that from what ive heard
It’s a tongue bass on the side
Its a tight middle tongue bass + cheek flap
Tight side isnt quite the right texture
Do middle clickroll position, slightly tilt your tongue, then (ima explain this like how i explain side tongue bass) focus rhe oscillation on the corner of your tongue
Yo
Is this middle clickroll?
@fervent crow
Why my inward duck sound sound like zekka bass lmao
^
Really
I thought it was more complicated than that ngl
😭
After watching that one stitch tutorial
But ig he did say he does it differently from zekka
Something like that I have no clue what a slizzer is
💀
He said like do click roll and then make it clicky and then make it tight
Atleast that’s what I got from the video
idk, stitch isnt the best at tutorials
Slizzer roll
😭
Oh yeah I see
Does polyphonic have to be with a falsetto
Or is chest voice poly just low poly or smth
What the hell is this sound it vibrates my teeth when I do it
@fervent crow
sounds like nasally low falsetto evil maybe
What the heck
It does hurt a lot
Crazy
Didn’t know I can do that
Just randomly got it lol
neither did i when i found it
Can I hear yours
mines changed alot so wont sound the same
or as controlled
now it flips to falsetto vibration
“Mmm, men men”
Sounds cool tho
Oh my god what
I just looked in the mirror a bunch of veins pop out of my neck when I do this sound
😭
Well i cant roll my r's
So does it really count as tobgue bass?
I mean i get tongue vibration, but its hella further back in the mouth
If mine counts as tongue bass then the place i do it
What
Is somewhere at the start of this green (duck sound/bass)
?
What is ur question?
My question is if my sound counts as tongue bass
Does it use the tongue?
I mean yea
Yeah just probably different tongue bass variation
Unless you’re doing a click roll?
But that’s inward so idk how you could get that accidentally
Damn my polyphonic is getting good
I can sing in it
(Off pitch but still)
But then again so is my normal singing
is the tip of your tongue vibrating? like you you have it pulled back?
then its tongue
no matter where
I know this isn’t a bass but does anyone have any advice for the izen nasal squeak
Train it orally first
help your throat get used to it
THEN go into nasal after getting comfortable
How do i do it though?
give me a moment
@bleak heron not the best at this sound but this IS how its performed
Ohhhh okay thanks 🙏🏽 I always thought it was from adding pressure to the nose
It's a voice wheeze essentially
Yep
Just Izen does it really quickly and with other airless sounds
(fsh, liproll, hollow lip osc, all that)
He also does it with a hi hat roll
Extremely tight d-low inward bass
@fervent crow what is this sound? Ik it sounds like polyphonic but it feels different
There is like chest bass vibration in it
Ik the vibration isn’t as prominent in the video but earlier I was able to get it very strong
Can’t do it anymore tho…
Oh maybe it’s the pash polyphonic cause it sounded similar earlier
I always thought I was doing poly but I was just doing chest bass falsetto
That im shocked about cause chest bass + falsetto like usually sounds so different-
Any vibration users here got tips for making it easier to use in beats?
When I use it on its own, it sounds perfectly fine, but when I add it into a beat, I really struggle to get it to come through the way it does in the recording
Aw man
Thought I got a cool sound for a sec 🙁
train switching into the bass from other basses
like from throat into vibration or tongue bass even
then train all your vowels ("o" "e" "a" "u" "oo" "ay" "ee")
yes
Might be poly chest
The clickroll?
^
Hey @fervent crow I am currently a user of chest bass. I cant seem to get the normal texture of chest bass. For example colaps or bass Ventura. Mine is a controlled rattle that is really low. Not sure how to get that smooth sounding vocalized chest bass
send recordings
I will say bass ventura isnt exactly "normal"
Hahaha thanks but im trying to get more variety with my vocal sounds I guess. Understand it more
hmm, lemme think..
try using a bit less kermit voice maybe
and hollowing the throat a little i beleive
or no you want those textures
add more kermit voice
aka press your tongue more into the back of your throat
@lost gull
pretty much as in vibration doesn't FULLY count, as mine is a form of poly/double throat bass. I haven't figured out how to do normal throat bass subs yet.
#beatbox #bassresearch #humanbass #vibrationbass #subharmonics #harmony #harmonics #bass
Is monke bass uvula + chest bass + falsetto, and everything is breathy ?
Ah ok ty
Then theres evil monke bass which is the same thing but with evil bass added on
I thought it was monke bass but unsynchronized
@fervent crow Would you be down for answering some questions for my Beatbox project for school?
^
ima dm them
Kk
Is this vibration bass?
No sadly
Closer to BV bass
Which is heavy kermit vocal chest
To improve it or to change to vibration
Alien bass or some low subharmonic 🔥 space g said but its so unbelievable hard to control
thats right, its finally out, after so long.
I started planning this video ages ago but never got the chance to start it, until november last year. Im so happy its out and to an acceptable quality

- "why arent whistle basses in the main list like the other lists",
My definit...
i cant do 74 sounds and you're doing 74 different basses thats just insane man
Hehe
not doing it in one take like remix did? All jokes aside this is insane
I would not be able to lol
Theres alot of sounds that somedays just stop working
Or some that mess with others
Tomaz hard bass is I think evil with chest bass and a reverse clickroll tongue position (tongue for resonance)
so there is no chest bass in it, it is overly pressurized evil with tunnel throat (which is kinda related to hollowing) and sometimes has that tongue position
i beleive the idea for the chest bass came from tomaz saying it, cause i beleive his chest bass is in the same throat position as his hard bass
Yeah it was from him saying it
Ya, weve found it doesnt have chest (partially caude it would be dual pitched if it had any important oscillation)
What’s tunnel throat though?
One sec
I couldnt find it in kindreds vid
But i do beleive its almost like a partial hollow
Allows for more resonance and that almost slowet texture
I know its in kindreds endoscopy vid but its late
Yo I would like to know if there’s a way to avoid inward bass making my spit stuck in my throat cuz it messes up and I have to clear my throat. With time I managed to control it and go ahead but it’s still there
So 2 or 3 big things to remember, A allways clear your throat before doing an inward bass heavy beat, B try to avoid thicker liquids like milk which can create phlegm, and C try blowing your nose before a beat/practice
Other than that it can come down to throat position or overal inward
Like dlow inward or things simular will get very saliva-y

what exactly is bly crepsley’s synth technique? is it done with a vocal bass? or a throat bass or something else

im assuming its the same as above technique with added synth?
Yo wtf bruh I got good at some weird high pitched chest bass now I can’t do poly anymore 🙁
@boreal tundra
Are you a bass genius?
I can't tell the difference between my vibration bass and throat bass can you help me?
So ok, your throat bass starts turning into vibration
You do throat bass right at thw start after you say it, but it quickly goes into vibration
Practice your constrictwd singing without any kermit voice
Cause you are using ALOT of kermit voice
What is Kermit means?
Basically doing the same voice or position as kermit the frog
When your tongue is pushed back into your throat
Try to basically do it with just a normal clear voice (+ constricted voice lol)
Is this evil bass?
No. Evil bass is a lot more crackly and high pitched
Can you do it?
I used to to do it a lot before I learned zombie bass
MAD respect😭
?
Respect cuz it’s hard
it’s only difficult because there wasn’t any helpful tutorials on it at the time
“At the time” is any now that are good?
Here's my in-depth explanation and tutorial for zombie bass! It's a very obscure sound in the beatbox world with little to no information about it available, so I figured I would shed some light on this technique. If you have any further questions about this sound, don't be shy to leave a comment and I'll try to help you to the best of my abilit...
Im probably going make a tutorial on it too
Oh wow thanks
Nice hope it goes well
Im bad at creating beats, I don’t have any beats, and I’m ass at freestyle so I’m just getting a lot of sounds atp😭
is this inward bass (low the volume the sound might be loud)
Anyone know what bass this is? Thought it was kinda like starsky but I’ve been told you need tongue for that so not sure
starsky bass is uvula so yea im pretty sure this is starsky bass
or vocal uvula bass idk

just heard it in his wildcard and i think it sounds cool so might as well try xd
Its a super loose vocal inward
oh cool, thanks :))
How did y’all learn to roll your r when learning tongue bass
I feel like I have to train my muscles to do it but they don’t even know that to do 😭🙏
Wait I’m close I think
Its kinda a "keep doing it till it happens" sorta thing
Is it similiar to what you use when using like a high hat roll thing
Idk what it’s called
Nnno, hihat roll is further forwards and usually with partislly closed teeth (and tongue is flat against the roof of the mouth)
Is this close?
While tongue bass is a little further back and only the tip is against it
So rollinf your Rs is techncially seperate from tongue bass
For example, i do alot of tongue bass, but i cant propperly roll my Rs
Rolling your Rs is more related to hihat roll, while tongue bass isnt
Oh Whats tongue bass then
More this position
Sometimes a bit further back, sometimes slightly forward, still the same shape though
i think im getting confused sometimes it feels like a gargle
i think im doing a uvula by accidenyt
Is it close to how it should be ? @fervent crow
Here try this
Put the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth
Anf widen your tongue till ylu can barely or cant exhale through it
Then, lessen the pressure you have the tip of uour tongue at in anyway that workd, anf exhale
Try that for a bit
my issue is my air is going around my tongue so i cant build pressure
think is if i curl it up likr that i cant seal it
Thats why im saying widen it, i can get it so i cant breath even around it easily
Omg I got it for a second I think
It felt so aggressive 😭
The last one felt crazy
Ya
Ya
I’m worried it might have been a uvula thing without even realising
Or even if I get it I slip back into uvula
Sounds like tongue for alot of ot
Everytime I try it I use so much pressure icl 😭 feels Kinda horrible
@fervent crow think I’m getting close
That’s a lot less pressure too
Takes me like 100 tries tho
not gonna lie i dont think i learned the tongue bass u was on about tho
mine feels different
its almost like my whole tongue is flat against teh roof of my mouth
Aaah heavy tongue bass
is this a good one??
and how can i learn more variants?? was trynna find d low one
but all the tutorials suck on it
one dude basically just using uvula
Dlow tongue bass is hard and i wanna say anatomy dependent ngl
Get heavy tongue bass down and it will get you used to loosening your tongue
https://youtu.be/wWaWGBR5YoQ use this for tongue positions and varients!
Heyo, this is my first actual proper video for this channel! ofc I wish I did things better then i did, but allergies have been killin me. I'm a Canadian Bass nerd beatboxer, know almost every in and out of all basses, and have been doing tongue bass specifically for 12 years, so ofc i have plenty of variations.
chapters:
00:00 - intro
00:44 -...
dayum youre really knowledgable thats insane
ill try these eventually
do need to get heavy down
funny how i learned that onefirst
Heavy is good to have
Isnt harmonically impressive but its like clickroll in the fact it hits hard and isnt overly high effort once you have it down
Cool throat bass + uvula stuff
to go to normal how can i still create pressure? i had to put my tongue flat against the top of my mouth with my tongue touching my back molars
not sure how i can do that without the back of the tongue near the top of the mouth
It takes practice, just keep foing what you are doing and it will helpntrain your tongue to get loose
alright sounds good
I’m honestly loving this sound
Seems crazy
@fervent crow I’ve been experimenting and adding lips into it makes it sound crazzzy deep at times
90% of the time like a fart but sometimes it sounds crazy
Yo! I had some questions about inward bass, bc idk if this is inward bass or not.
Thanks for any help!
no
interesting
then is this it?
could anyone also help me figure out what this is?
Thats inward bass
Sounds like grunt throat bass
Mongolian style
yur
funky name lmao
thanks
Are you doing it in yhe same spot/are your teeth closed
teeth closed and i thinkk its pushed up against my teeth
oh wait teeth not closed
but the tongue is like almost flat on the teeth
not sure if it makes a difference
That’s how it feels
I think with the back actually touching the roof of my mouth too
Like as if I was doing heavy but also touching teeth
managed to find a headset thank god
Its drill bass now
Alright thanks 👍
I believe you have the subharmonics labelled incorrectly, the one labelled 2nd should be the 1st and so on
trust me i miss the days when that was correct.. but weve been like heavily corrected that we were a number off
1st undertone is 1 octave below the voice, but 2nd subharmonic is the one 1 octave below (going with the interval being 1/2, then 1/3 for 3rd sub)
took me like 4 months to adjust lol
like kindred got emails from scholars about it
@leaden thicket ^^
