energy monitoring: shelly devices (local only)
robot vacuum: roborocks can be flashed with valetudo (local only)
Routers: anything that runs openwrt

I'm in the apple ecosystem so Homepods
if you don't have any preference I'd use a raspberry pi connected to a regular stereo, there are solutions out there which let you stream from almost anything

I'm really awkward and use Apple Music whilst my gf uses Spotify

pretty much gets down to who wants to listen what and where, maybe you want to get different speakers for different areas

Sonos/IKEA Symfonisk (which is rebranded Sonos) works well for playing music
But voice control is another thing again
