#

than i found out ppl had taken my public design and started selling it on ebay and ali

#

pretty annoying. one asshole sold like 40 items.

#

so i just ordered it off ali bcuz the jlcpcb guys coudnt get another sample set without it costing a fortune

#

it was a multi layer pcb so manufacturing was a pain. but the chinese ali seller somehow managed to modify and undercut the price to like less than 10 bux

#

you can take a look at the ali listings. all original seller listing dates are post like jan of last year

Correction for Page 9, <2.0v is considered heavily underdischarged and its where the excessive dendril growth starts to begin, but i have plenty of cells that are way below that that still work just fine

crisp sapphire
#

must've typod. i never discharged em to 2V

#

that would be a death sentence

#

2.5V is barely recoverable and very questionable

#

3V is absolute lowest

#

powerpoint

#

recommend actually playing the slides if you wanna see the fancy effects

finite atlas
crisp sapphire
#

i mean they're recoverable sure but a safety hazard imo

finite atlas
#

Also soldering with lead based solder works just fine

crisp sapphire
#

didnt of me. anyways just an excuse to go with spot welding

finite atlas
#

ye

crisp sapphire
#

maybe not enough flux

#

and thicc oxide layer

#

even briefly considered using a strong acid to get rid of the oxide layer. think i mentioned it in the doc if i remember correctly

finite atlas
#

their case is often made out of stainless steel.. where does it have a thicc oxide layer?

crisp sapphire
#

some of the constituents of SS react with the O2 in the atm and form an oxide layer

finite atlas
#

i hand soldered nearly 500 cells so far
the only issue that i faced, were that the cells like to suck out the heat of my soldering iron so i need to wait a bit after each solder so i can solder them good again

crisp sapphire
#

why solder when spot welding is so easy and beneficial?

finite atlas
#

safety

#

i solder thin wires to them, that act like fuses

crisp sapphire
#

ah

#

never liked resistive fuses. just doesnt sit right with me, wasting a tiny amount of power and relying on wild trip curves. ik you'd disagree

#

i still use them

#

hard to beat.

#

but i've always liked electronic ones

finite atlas
#

well, what else does exist that can be used in mass rather cheaply?

crisp sapphire
#

none afaik. sadly

#

i mean i try to minimize fuse usage in the first place. the best part is no part. Delete, simply, accelerate.

finite atlas
#

yes, but i plan on building a 22kWh battery out of old laptop cells that sits inside our house
safety goes first there

crisp sapphire
#

no no. what i meant is that i try to minimize fuse usage while (arguably) increasing safety

finite atlas
#

what i'm missing with your powerbank design, is a simple charge limit

#

but besides that, its a pretty neat basic power bank

crisp sapphire
#

not removing for the sake of cutting corners. the gating factor is always party

crisp sapphire
#

or you mean a 80/90% limit?

#

it stops at a pedestrian 4.2V

finite atlas
#

yeah, a sub 4v limit

crisp sapphire
#

man i've been wanting that for 12 years.

finite atlas
#

as the cycle count goes through the roof if you keep the voltage under 3.95v

crisp sapphire
#

just like i've been wanting cheap LFP bms's for the past 5

finite atlas
#

if you want the best possible energy discharge amount of those batteries, take 3.5v as a minimum charge and add as much as you need and discharge to 3.5v again, in case you really need some more juice, you can go down to 3.4v

crisp sapphire
finite atlas
#

well, then take a career in batteries

#

skilled people are really needed in that sector

crisp sapphire
#

yea. certainly a dream of mine

finite atlas
#

been thinking of working at a battery recycling plant once i get the motivation to start and finish my drivers license

crisp sapphire
#

i mean just last week i was researching manufacturing processies for cathode adhesives and the new novel ways the DBE process aligns the carbon inter structural current pathways with gaps in the adhesive in order to reduce inpedence and improve density by 5%

crisp sapphire

#

i mean its a miracle im still here. Almost didnt make it.

umbral cliff
#

I know a lot of people who got stressed at uni just do it part time, 1-2 courses a semester. Takes far longer but far less stressful

#

Plus the whole uni lets you do whatever you want whenever and no one is chasing you to get things done

#

It’s a DIY style environment

crisp sapphire
#

Sorry chief, not how that works. We dont even have the mentioned classes here

#

Im sticking to my plan. Leave this hell hole and move to the US

crisp sapphire
#

sweden

finite atlas
#

so moving from a friendly hell hole to a burning hell hole, seems like not much of am improvement

umbral cliff
#

In Europe you have electrical engineering classes for sure, that stuff is what will skill you up

#

Plus it’s free or very cheap

crisp sapphire
#

but at least i can speak english with ppl. Thats already one massive barrier removed

#

the ability to express yourself is a big factor

umbral cliff
#

To me Sweden seems like a far nicer place than the USA, even with the higher costs of living

crisp sapphire
#

it is, im most regards

#

but its extremly limiting in others. For me its only limiting.

finite atlas
#

in terms of?

crisp sapphire

language and talent.

umbral cliff
#

You have the whole EU to move to, that’s an incredibly wide reach

crisp sapphire

that i agree with

#

thats on the table

US or somewere in the EU

umbral cliff
#

There’s a lot of research and development going into electrical and battery related stuff in Europe

finite atlas
#

why not work for Volvo? i'm sure they need someone with battery knowledge, just an idea

crisp sapphire
#

my end goal is to work for tesla in the engineering dep.

umbral cliff
#

Honestly yeah, any car company in Europe then

crisp sapphire
#

sounds lame, but thats my dream.

#

(For now)

umbral cliff
#

Moving to the USA is going to be hard without citizenship

crisp sapphire
#

thats easy?
Land a job and your off. Its the job landing thats hard

finite atlas
#

and with deep pockets or a work place

crisp sapphire
#

As soon as you have a job, you immediately get a green card

umbral cliff
#

You get a work visa. Valid whilst you’re working

#

Getting sponsored isn’t easy

#

Especially someone who has limited real world experience

crisp sapphire
#

i wouldnt wanna stay unless i was working on something meaningful. Might as well move back

#

So thats fine by me

finite atlas
#

or maybe create your own company and repair car batteries

crisp sapphire
#

Lol

umbral cliff
#

You’re better off working at a car company in Europe then moving to the USA. You have something on your resume

#

That someone hiring would go “oh perfect”

crisp sapphire

I mean batteries arent the only thing im into.

umbral cliff

finite atlas
#

no worries, 2 already tried

forest edge
#

this information determines rather a driver is high risk or not. Many insurances here have had OBD dongles people could opt in to use that would keep their insurance cheap.

#

had those dongles for years i should say

umbral cliff
forest edge
#

why not? your performance behind the wheel is the difference between costing them money or making money

#

simply going by how many citations you have had over x amount of years is not enough

umbral cliff
#

You can floor it from the lights but be otherwise a safe and sensible driver

#

And that wouldn't raise their risk

forest edge
#

a person who drives less than 1k miles a year should have an option to pay less for insurance than someone who puts a million miles on thier vehicle a day etc

umbral cliff
#

Yeah thats why you declare how much you drive a year

forest edge
#

lol declare

umbral cliff
#

Well if they find out you lied then you won't be covered so 🤷‍♂️

forest edge
#

collecting data on your average speed limit, how many miles you drive etc is perfectly fine. even if they wanted to collect that data real time

umbral cliff
#

I still disagree with it, don't need more companies tracking it

forest edge
#

it was only these new technologies like those dongles is the reason some people got the option to pay less in insurance than others and the more they come out with the cheaper insurance gets

umbral cliff
#

$500 a year for a young driver in a bmw isn't expensive. Unsure how much cheaper they would get it though

#

Maybe $300 for experienced/ older drivers

forest edge
#

suicide sally should be paying a premium rather than paying the same amount as everyone else etc

#

I dunno what that equates to US off the top of my head but 500 a year US is expensive as shit lol

umbral cliff
#

Just base on how many times you've had to claim, its not hard. If you use insurance more then you deserve to pay more

forest edge
#

number of claims is a poor way to determine risk factor

umbral cliff
#

$350 a year USD for a bmw

#

Thats for property damage, personal damage is included in annual registration

umbral cliff
forest edge
#

that still sounds high to me but then i don't have a BMW so no idea what it would cost for me

umbral cliff
#

What do you pay per year for your insurance then

forest edge
#

30 bucks

#

maybe less

umbral cliff
#

That just for property? Or personal damage too?

#

I presume third party

forest edge
#

full coverage on my truck

#

my bike is around 14 or so bucks

#

but then i also have homes etc so I get discounted quite heavily

#

not to mention i am not "high risk"

forest edge
# umbral cliff According to this its average for minimum coverage

These kind of statistics come with pretty heavy baggage. Since cost of living varies so much around the country and then you sprinkle in the demographic of older vs younger the waters get pretty muddy. I have never paid more than 70 a month on any insurance I had for any vehicle and my collectors truck I had when I was a teenager held the same cost for insurance as a corvette

Tesla will be recalling 53,822 vehicles in the United States that are equipped with the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta software. The recall was initiated due to the system’s ability to perform “rolling stops,” which was introduced to the FSD Beta program back in October 2021 — and which may increase the risk of collisions.  …

#

Imagine when they realize its just an OTA update

#

like the ones pushed to the beta team every month

static schooner
#

in what legal construct is a "rolling stop" ever acceptable?

green inlet

Uhm….yes

#

🤣

crisp sapphire

you must either annoy a lot of ppl. or somethings up

green inlet
#

Annoy other people for following the law?

#

That seems odd

#

They won’t pay your ticket for you

crisp sapphire
#

i mean... try going the speed limit on the highway of any real highway

#

ppl will pass you a lot

green inlet
#

Tink beat me to the punch

#

I hope you arent planning on arguing that in court

crisp sapphire
#

you cant srsly say that you follow every single law and expect ppl not to look at you

clever mortar
#

I always drive within the speed limits, except where it's unsafe to do so

crisp sapphire
#

lets be clear here. im not saying you should do 80 in a 60 zone

clever mortar
#

I'm talking about not doing 61 in a 60 zone 😉

crisp sapphire
#

but keeping 60 at all times... ppl will talagate

green inlet
#

I may break traffic laws, but not because I am worried about people honking at me or looking at me funny

clever mortar
#

The solution for idiots driving too close behind is, of course, to drive more slowly... and continue to get slower until they either overtake, or back off

green inlet
#

Or pull over if safe to do so

#

Let them pass

clever mortar
#

Detours are fun

crisp sapphire
#

very strange imo. i mean even here were ppl are polite drivers they usually do at least 10 above the limit

green inlet
#

I typically move with traffic.

crisp sapphire
#

yea same. and the traffic moves at 10 above

green inlet
#

But that is much different than stop signs and automated cars designed to break the law

crisp sapphire
#

would you rather lower safety and annoy everyone around you? i mean its not like someone at the AP team woke up one day and decided to implement that feature. they obv looked at the pros and cons

#

especially with the beta, which is too safe for its own good. stopping when its not supposed to bcuz it sees a ped like 10 meters away at the opposit sign

green inlet
#

Lower safety by running a stop sign 😳

#

I don’t really care about everyone around me.

crisp sapphire
#

maybe the title confused. when i say rolling, i mean at like 1 - 2 mph.

green inlet
#

Pros and cons of breaking the law

crisp sapphire
#

it very very rarely rolls above that

green inlet
#

It’s pretty obvious we are not going to find a middle ground here 🤣

crisp sapphire
#

still fun to discuss

green inlet
#

Do I break traffic laws, sure. But usually with some human thought of the bigger picture. Moving with traffic on the highway. But because someone is going to honk at me or look at me funny, is not human thought of the bigger picture. And because cars can’t grasp the concept of the bigger picture, they really should be designed to follow the strict letter of the law and should a human feel different, they can take over manual control.

#

I seriously hope the reality of automated cars doesn’t become a thing till I am in the ground 🤣

crisp sapphire
#

agree to disagree

static schooner
#

Uncertainty and confusion is what causes accidents, so just go when you're supposed to go

tidal bronze
#

Tech aside it will be sometime before they figure out how liability blends into all this. Insurance is the decider not tech 🙂

green inlet
#

How so? If you are driving an automated car, and cause an accident….on what level can you step out of the car and blame the manufacturer?

static schooner
#

Aggression, impatience, and indifferences to the rules, too, which is what a rolling stop is

green inlet
#

If the manufacturers of automated cars don’t have 16 thousand documents releasing them of liability….that is just a very poor business model.

umbral cliff
# crisp sapphire Suprise suprise. I dont use first hand experience, i use data to base my case on...

To echo what was said, driving is something you need first hand experience to find out how the laws actually work well.

It also varies wildly from country to country. But complete stop at a stop sign is the law and unless it’s a very small side road where you could roll through (aka small side street that’s not busy) then it’s incredibly dangerous to do so

Plus predictability is a huge deal when driving, it’s why the laws do exist too, I know when someone is indicating right they’re going to turn right, if they went straight it could cause an accident

crisp sapphire
#

i mostly agree. But thats exactly what the beta does?

#

It rolls stops at very safe locations and takes its sweet sweet time before proceeding.

#

i mean take a look at some of the videos. Its super graceful imo.

umbral cliff
#

How does it know it’s safe

#

Even small side streets can be busy and require you to stop

crisp sapphire
#

Same say you know. Looks out at the world, sees if there are blind corners, traffic, visibility (day, night, weather) ane coorelates it with map & sign data to get speed limits and the likes.

#

far from perfect, ofc.

#

But its alpha software

umbral cliff
#

Alpha software shouldn’t be on the road at all

crisp sapphire
#

thats the entire point of having testers

umbral cliff
#

Like I don’t want to be driving and having unpredictable drivers because someone thought they can test alpha software

#

It’s why it’s so good it’s a recall of teslas too, they’re forced to update

crisp sapphire
#

For about 15 months

#

i'd say thats a pretty good indicator that the testers are using the software responsibly

umbral cliff
#

But also a stop sign is a stop sign. Until everyone is automated they should be stopping

crisp sapphire
#

for alpha software its not...

umbral cliff
#

For anything to be used on the road it is

crisp sapphire
#

like its not some finished thing. Its extremly alpha. I'd go so far as to say its pre alpha

umbral cliff
#

You’re making it sound worse

#

You’re putting pre alpha software on a vehicle that can self drive

#

That sounds dangerous

#

All it takes is one bug

#

And it’s fucked

crisp sapphire
#

one? There have been douzens. No accidents yet. Its one thing to assume its unsafe because its alpha, its another to look at the full picture. The full picture is pretty clear imo. No one wants they're car in a ditch or worse and all it takes to disengage the system is the slightest tap of the break pedal or steering wheel input.

Alpha does not mean unsafe by default. It just means unfinished af. Vast majority of the time its way too safe for its own good and ppl start honking bcuz it stops at lights for too long or stops until all peds have gone by and doesnt assert itself.

#

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here, have 30/sec for 28 minutes.

umbral cliff
crisp sapphire
#

and that exact sentence demonstrates that you need to go do your research. Disengagements are handled via servo hardware overide.

umbral cliff
#

I dunno if it’s just me but I would never want mission critical stuff running alpha software, like my car

crisp sapphire
#

its physically impossible to not be able to disengage. Doesnt matter what the car sends over the BUS.

orchid rose
#

But then again, "alpha" could mean anything. I'm sure Tesla and co have thought about the negative press it would create if something fell short

crisp sapphire
#

by all means, tesla does NOT want you alpha testing the software.

crisp sapphire
umbral cliff
#

Then don’t offer it tbh

#

They’ve already introduced something that lets you break the law, that’s not good

#

Tesla won’t pay your fine

crisp sapphire
orchid rose
#

Maybe Tesla just didn't want to go with "beta" for other reasons 😏

crisp sapphire
#

lol

#

Who knows

orchid rose
#

But the point is that there's no designation for beta

crisp sapphire
#

@umbral cliff anyways, i do enjoy these kinda conversations because it grounds me in what "normal" external ppl think about the stuff i live off'f.

crisp sapphire
orchid rose
#

I'm not sure it's a weakness

umbral cliff
crisp sapphire
#

you say that like im bout to do 150 in a 30 zone

umbral cliff
#

Well you’re casually defending rolling through a stop sign

#

Even 61 in a 60 is illegal

crisp sapphire
#

contrary to very popular belif, i do follow safety protocol and do so way more than i should. I mean im still here?

umbral cliff
#

Dumb people somehow survive

crisp sapphire
umbral cliff
#

Doesn’t matter if it works safely, it is still illegal

crisp sapphire
#

but i was like 11. What can ya expect :/

orchid rose
#

What's the point of the law calmelb?

crisp sapphire
#

Break it. Do 250 in a 20 zone and ram into buildings

#

(This is a joke everyone. Do not @ me)

umbral cliff
static schooner
orchid rose
#

If it would be possible to ensure the safety of the other drivers, with for example AI driving the car, shouldn't the law be changed?

crisp sapphire
#

@static schooner nah, we quit for a bit.

orchid rose
#

again more like Rob

umbral cliff
orchid rose
#

But until that it wouldn't because AI wouldn't be able to predict the dumbness of humans?

#

That's with slight sarcasm and otherwise a genuine question

umbral cliff
#

Honestly I don’t trust AI with the randomness of humans. That’s my honest thoughts

crisp sapphire
orchid rose
#

I'm honestly not decided on that yet, but generally I feel like if a dumb human can do something, an AI can probably do it better

#

when and not if that happens is the question for me

umbral cliff
#

I just can’t trust it tbh. Especially seeing how stupid people are on the roads

orchid rose
#

I completely expect self-driving cars to fail. Once there's a few accidents people will rally against it and go on about killing each other by being dumb for the foreseeable future

crisp sapphire
#

this is my expectation as well. Not because ppl will rally, but because its just so absurdly difficult

umbral cliff
#

Assisted driving will succeed. Since that’s easy to do

#

Since the driver still stops at lights or signs

orchid rose
#

Somehow we've accepted that cars kill people. We can't even set speed limits without people breaking them

crisp sapphire
#

my internal predictions (highly unreliable) give it a <10% chance of happening anytime soon

orchid rose
#

How would you define assisted driving?

umbral cliff
#

Ngl wish every car had its own breathalyser to force drink drivers to not be a thing

umbral cliff
orchid rose
#

Yeah that seems relatively doable

umbral cliff
#

It’s just an evolution of basic cruise control

#

And actually achieves stuff (even though I sound like a boomer saying I think it makes lazy drivers and I don’t like it)

orchid rose
#

As a fellow boomer, I agree. People are overly hyped about this stuff and fail to see the issues with it imo

umbral cliff
#

I’ve been driving for just under 5 years and have driven with adaptive cruise and stay in lane and it made me feel so lazy and I did not like it. Basic cruise is all I need lol

#

So many of my friends though are loving it

#

I knew someone who was learning to drive in a Tesla. She never got used to reading road signs because the Tesla told her and she never learnt. God forbid she drives another car

whats with the wagyu? are you actually selecting japense beef at the store over local?

shy comet
hollow glacier

i've heard a lot of people get a stomach ache if they eat a lot of it due to how rich it is

@shy comet yep but not easy to get olive unlike A5.

orchid rose

Just the amount of fat I suppose. But I don't think that should be the key when selecting the cut. It's just different tastes

shy comet

I made the mistake of cooking A5 indoors before....oof that sucked

oh no. Not a chance.

I use roasted garlic olive as base

orchid rose

Ngl, this smells like bs a mile away... And I don't even know what a mile is

It's how they raise them. Now they have US wagyu good but not great.

right, wagyu is just a cow raised in japan from my understanding

wtf is amercian wagyu

that shit is just someone trying to reinvent the wheel

forest edge

i live in the midwest..

orchid rose
#

Gotta do better than that quad, come on

forest edge
#

so wagyu is feeding cattle nothing but olives?

tidal bronze
orchid rose
#

If you actually want people to buy into this, just saying do your own research isn't exactly going to cut it

forest edge
#

and according to wiki wagyu is a grass fed cow in japan

#

soooo

tidal bronze

olive wagyu is olive fed not regular wagyu.

forest edge
#

@orchid rosehonestly I think he's buying snake oil and believing in it

orchid rose
#

I'm sure he can explain it

#

Maybe even provide some comparisons

forest edge
#

I had all kinds of meat from animals who been fed all kinds of diffrent food sources and as long as the cattle are properly cared for and fed well enough it all comes out the same in the end

#

I mean I lease my land out for cattle slaughtering, i've seen the whole process first hand from start to finish several times

#

there is no special cow lol

tidal bronze
#

Just because you raise or lease the land does not make you a expert of the tongue. This cat.

forest edge
#

i agree

#

but i also think you are beliving in fairy tales

#

it's like the organic selection at the grocery store.. that shit is way over priced just because it has the label "organic" not because of it's ingrediants

tidal bronze
#

Well food is like whiskey or wine. Not everyone can taste or rather smell notes on everything. What you are saying is basically wine is wine. Whiskey is Whiskey. But if you can smell the notes it's hardly the case.

forest edge
#

i understand, like smoking with cherry vs coal or whatever

#

once you cook the meat and add whatever seaonings you add to it, whatever the "hint" of taste from whatever the naimal ate is long gone

tidal bronze

You have loads to learn.

forest edge

I had always wondered if some towns etc allowed rolling stops. it's such a common thing but everywhere i been they are illegal

crisp sapphire
#

^ thats what i said

forest edge
#

us is so deversed all around it wouldn't shock me if a few small towns allowed it

umbral cliff
#

More proof Kevin is just sonoma in disguise

crisp sapphire
#

lol

umbral cliff
forest edge
#

highways are state controled, roads are not

#

but even at that, technically a city could allow some things within city limits that go against state or federal law

#

not saying your safe from state or federal prosecution it's just that city won't go after you

crisp sapphire
#

Stop pasting my arguments

#

we already agreed to disagree 😂

Ok this is fucking bullshit. Got sniped on an auction bcuz of the damn CDN response time.

#

And it said i won, added it to my cart and than rejected it 30 sec after.

#

thats just sad. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

forest edge
#

Once again, you state something totally out of context to make your statement correct. Bravo 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻. I would have to do a little research but I am almost positive that state budgets even control maintenance throughout the states

forest edge
#

out of context? your the one who disagreed with me lmao

#

not my fault you don't know wtf your talking about

green inlet
dull chasm
#

There is federal traffic laws they set the interstate speed limits and if a state does not enforce funding is at risk. State highways have state title enforcement

forest edge
#

he said roads

dull chasm
#

Roads?

forest edge
#

was responding to pdo

green inlet
#

Please provide an example of a traffic law feds can enforce.

forest edge
#

now he's gonna argue with you. so i'm gonna go take a leak lol

green inlet
forest edge
#

always wrong i guess

green inlet
#

Well at least that statement was right

dull chasm
#

Feds don’t enforce per se as pulling over the violater

green inlet
#

There are exactly zero federal traffic laws

dull chasm
#

Hmm I don’t think you know who you are arguing with. There are statues that the feds have for example either commercial trucks. They don’t have officers that pull over the vehicle but will enforce at inspection

forest edge
#

lol don't waste your breathe

green inlet
#

That is laughable. You mean state controlled inspection stations

#

Run by the dmv

dull chasm
#

No they are not state but federally funded and requiresd

#

Not dmv neither

green inlet
#

Again, please provide an example of a federal traffic law

dull chasm
#

Regulations issued by FMCSA are published in the Federal Register and compiled in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Copies of appropriate volumes of the CFR in book format may be purchased from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S.

dusky plank
#

it`s illegal to fart in public after 6pm in florida

#

but what do i know

dull chasm
#

Lol

glacial knot
forest edge
#

aren't school zones dictated by fed as well?

dull chasm
#

Louisiana still has a law to wave latern and shoot shotgun before crossing a intersection

#

No state

forest edge
#

oh

forest edge
#

most towns/cities have laws against discharging a firearm within limits so that would contradict lol

green inlet
#

Those are federal regulations, not traffic laws

dull chasm
#

I mean I guess I understand what he is saying there is no federal police force for traffic laws but there are mandates that states must enforce

forest edge
#

regulations is law, just not directed to the public

dull chasm
#

Same difference it is a hard copy ticket issued for not obeying

green inlet
#

This all started way up there 👆🏻 talking about rolling stops

dull chasm
#

And goes to traffic court

#

Do you live in USA

green inlet
#

Me?

forest edge
#

Individual laws, also called acts, are arranged by subject in the United States Code. Regulations are rules made by executive departments and agencies, and are arranged by subject in the Code of Federal Regulations. sounds the same to me just diffrent body

green inlet
#

Yes

#

Thanks

#

Exactly what I was saying

dull chasm
#

Well don’t obey get a ticket from someone like me. And it makes no difference on symatics

glacial knot
#

Sounds like EU law. Which requires countries to put it into national law, since those have the authority in their jurisdictions

forest edge
#

what i posted?

#

or what vasiley was talking about

green inlet
#

As it relates to the comment directly before it

forest edge
#

speed limits etc are

#

but state does not own the roads

green inlet
#

They are not

#

And states do own the roads

forest edge
#

omg

dull chasm
#

It’s a fine balance No the feds don’t have code for speeding but if you don’t set the limit and enforce we will cut your funding. So same difference

green inlet
#

It is this

dull chasm
#

I am out don’t know what you are trying to say. States don’t really own the interstates it is federally mandated and 80 percent funded.

forest edge
#

@green inletso you think state determines and names the roads as well?

green inlet
#

Don’t really care about the names

#

We were talking about laws.

forest edge
#

but they own them...

green inlet
#

You switched to maintenance

#

Feds do provide funding

#

But it is up to the individuals states to maintain their roads

#

And there is not a federally set speed limit

#

Which is why you can go state to state and see different max speeds

forest edge
#

just let him believe what he wants

dull chasm
#

State roads yes. Interstate no

#

@green inlet I work I state government at a fairly high level. Just telling you how it is not trying to prove anything or Chang your mind
