I think like any internet celebrity, anyone who defends everything he ever does is usually not worth arguing with. Everyone should recognize that most videos won't be top 10 greatest hits, and that's okay sometimes. I see it as being complementary to HA - adding info on where devices are, plans/progress of what else to do, along with more mundane tracking/notes of what you might see in a real-world home log book, so info like details on utilities, serial numbers, storing info on what colour paint was used and contact details of handymen etc etc

I printed some stuff for the printer pretty qucikly to make it look nicer

bltouch, octopi, smart switch are all nice purchases for them in my opinion. I also bought "upgraded" springs and knobs to make it a bit stiffer and a pei bed.

Depends on the chip, and how software-defined the WiFi/Bluetooth support was to begin with

I've seen a number of WiFi devices altered to send out Zigbee frames for the purposes of hacking Zigbee mesh networks

Aside from the tiny frame size, and the low transmit power, Zigbee shares a lot in common with WiFi...

The advantage of using WiFi hardware to hack Zigbee mesh networks is you get a lot of transmit power to play with. You can pretty easily scream right over top of the target mesh's legitimate Zigbee hub
