There's a speaker I saw at car shows a few years back called like the earthquake or earth shaker or something that seemed to only provide mad vibrations if you really want such a thing

why people install more vibrations in their trash project cars I don't get, like I like clear quality audio over everyone outside the car knowing you're a nob

What sort of monitors are you rocking at home

Particularly interested in productivity monitors not gaming

forest edge

look out for dell monitor sales. cheapest you will usually find

wintry hazel

ready for me to make all the pc monitor/peripheral nerds feel really disgusted in me?
I have a Dell G2410 and two Dell P2210s.
the 2210s are second hand from a banking firm and the 2410 I bought when I was in high school and has survived like 3 computers

nothing wrong with dell's

wintry hazel

yeah but they're 10 years old

hardware obsessed people in the gaming community are like "you can't even play games on those"

24" 1920x1200 (16:10) 8-bit S-IPS panels

#

I'd love to upgrade to something with G-Sync, and/or an ultrawide, but I'm really not a fan of curved monitors...

forest edge
#

predator makes a non curved g-sync montor

#

I almost bought one during the amazon prime day

wintry hazel
#

I will eventually rack mount my PC and upgrade to something with maybe a thunderbolt dock and a triple monitor mount on my desk, delete as many cables at possible

subtle pasture
#

Checking now. It sucks that there aren't a whole lot of monitors that are good at both gaming AND professional workloads...

forest edge
#

was like 299 during prime day

wintry hazel
#

299 US?

subtle pasture
#

I'd probably be looking at the 27" version. The 24" one in that review is a downgrade from my current screens in a number of ways

forest edge
#

it's even cheaper now heh

#

oh it was the 240hz one that was 300 during prime day

subtle pasture
#

Also, I notice it's an 8-bit panel with FRC (which it uses to fake 10-bit color). Can you turn FRC off?

forest edge
#

the 144hz one is 250ish now

subtle pasture
#

I'm not sure how well it works at 144hz, but FRC looks like ass at 60Hz

forest edge
#

the nitro version uses freesync and those are cheaper

subtle pasture
#

I'm seeing the 27" 144Hz version for $442 on Amazon right now

forest edge
#

they don't have true HDR

#

"proper" i mean

subtle pasture
#

Not asking about HDR specifically. All FRC does is flicker rapidly between two colors to try and emulate a 3rd color using persistence of vision

#

It looks terrible. It was a cheap trick 6-bit panels used to use to try and look like 8-bit panels.

forest edge
#

I don't think anything current has that issue because they don't put that on anything under 75hz

subtle pasture
#

The effect often looks like visual snow when attempting to render smooth gradients

forest edge
#

75hz is the bare min

subtle pasture
#

I also notice it has ULMB in the marketing material. Is there a way to shut THAT off as well?

forest edge
#

watch the video, the dude really picks apart the monitors short comings lol

subtle pasture
#

And what frequency is the PWM in the backlight?

forest edge
#

but for the price. it's hard to beat

subtle pasture
#

I'll give it a watch, but most reviewers fail to address backlight PWM frequency, which is a pretty big problem for me, because I can often see the flicker

#

I've had to return monitors and backlit gaming peripherals because the flicker was so bad / annoying

forest edge
#

LG makes a 27" gsync monitor that isn't curved as well

#

144hz

subtle pasture
#

And I literally can't watch a DLP projector or rear-projection TV without seeing rainbows everywhere

forest edge
#

but I didn't care for the LG reviews

tidal bronze
#

Monitors 🤔

forest edge
#

yea not all of us had jacks surgically implanted in the back of our heads quad

subtle pasture
#

Apparently the rainbow thing is because of the color wheel in the projector not rotating fast enough. Real annoying...

forest edge
#

@subtle pastureyour talking about shit that came out in the 90's

tidal bronze
#

This is to play games ?

forest edge
#

no, to watch cooking videos

tidal bronze
#

Oh ok that makes sense

subtle pasture
#

Nope, brand-new shit... there's a theater in-town that I actively avoid because they have brand-new DLP cinema projectors

#

Makes movies unwatchable

forest edge
#

well when it comes to theater that a diffrent story

subtle pasture
#

I've seen it on brand-new demo units in stores, too...

tidal bronze
#

Go to a Dolby theater

forest edge
#

don't think i've seen a rear projection tv in a store in 20 years

subtle pasture
#

Color wheel needs to be running at about 6000 RPM before the rainbows start to go away, and most DLP projectors top out at around 3600 RPM

tidal bronze
#

Do you have ipic or arclight theaters?

forest edge
#

how do you know wtf they are?

subtle pasture
#

But the bigger issue here is backlight PWM. Seems like I need it to be about 1 kHz before the flicker becomes imperceptible.

#

A lot of backlights are between 300Hz and 600Hz, which isn't enough :/

#

Hue bulbs also run at around 600Hz, and I can see them flicker at low brightness

forest edge
#

well don't worry, after you turn 40 you won't notice these things

If its cinema you should be fine with Dolby vision projectors.

they are talking about coming out with a Gremlins 3 which is at least better than a remake.

wintry hazel

yeah but they'll try to make them visually "modern" which as in the above thumbnail, is less creepy

forest edge

what I read was they would still use puppets

so won't be as bad as just CGI'ing everything

tidal bronze

What I can't stand is bad CGI,

i can't stand when they try and use CGI to make actors look younger

combine the two and sloth from the goonies could sing and look like a model in the music video

tidal bronze
#

At the same time very few people in the world can keep pitch with synthesized music. 🙄

#

So equal blame goes to electronic music.

forest edge
#

lol

wintry hazel
#

Heheh. I couldn't sit still during the online/lockdown TAFE classes so I have cast my desktop audio throughout the entire house. It only has like 2 seconds of lag

#

apparently chromecast likes to be 2 seconds behind probably due to the buffer

tidal bronze
#

You can adjust the lag

#

2 second lag though 🤔

wintry hazel
#

I did. By switching the format to Wav/16bit with sound card sample rate and 0 for device buffer in seconds

#

but it's still noticeable between headphones vs the google home

#

either way. it's still a clever use of the home

tidal bronze
#

Run a metronome adjust the GH

wintry hazel
#

the GH doesn't go under 0

tidal bronze
#

Change the other output above 0 200ms then delay the GH

wintry hazel
#

I am not that committed to using desktop audio streamer in favour of getting a bluetooth dongle and connecting over that

#

also it's not about syncing headphones to the home, it's just answering as soon as possible if I am asked a question

tidal bronze
#

I have quite a few Google speakers etc it was a task to sync but after many tries it's perfect now.

wintry hazel
#

my home's are in sync with eachother straight out of the box

tidal bronze
#

I wish that was the case. Some of the GH devices have paired 12" subs running via CC audio. I think altogether 19 with 4 different AVRs. So not a small task 😆

wintry hazel
#

oh my house is too small for that. I started by getting a JBL link bar with my TV which had google/android tv apps and used google home assistant for voice control. (Apparently newer ones do not do this any more) it came with a sub and after switching channels, opening netflix, etc using voice I started buying home minis and a home hub whenever I got discounts, or christmas vouchers from work. The only thing that's weird is sometimes I have to turn the screen on to make the linkbar receive chromecast audio but I don't often worry about that

tidal bronze
#

So no HDMI pass-through on TV or you must be using ARC for return channel

wintry hazel
#

well my actual assumption is that because I have the TV and soundbar doing eARC and did all the fancy for when various volume levels cut things in, it's probably turning the main soundbar functionality off at the same time as the TV when I say "turn the tv off", and so only the assistant part stays active

tidal bronze
#

Didn't know TVs came with eARC now. Haven't used ARC at all

wintry hazel
#

yeah if you plug anything modern into a Samsung TV at least, one or the other should advise you that you get features if you do what they say

#

so my TV and linkbar have labelled ports to plug to do that

tidal bronze
#

Never looked into eARC because of the the initial buggy implementation probably all fixed now. I have nothing plugged into TVs all go through AVRs and HDMI distribution units.

forest edge
#

how do you have nothing plugged into tv?

tidal bronze
#

Magic

forest edge
#

your audio has to pass through the tv before going to an avr

wintry hazel
#

I also find it odd when people's stuff don't have CEC for appliances. like why do you still need 2 remotes?

tidal bronze
#

I don't use TV apps at all.

forest edge
#

how does it pipe audio from an avr to speakers without going through the tv?

tidal bronze
#

Every TV has a shield pro

static schooner
#

the AVR feeds the speakers?

forest edge
#

oh so the tv is just a monitor

tidal bronze
#

Yep.

static schooner
#

without exception, TV apps suck

wintry hazel
#

Yeah the only thing a nice living room needs is the TV and sound system with power and one ethernet. all wall mounted. Your consoles can go in a rack or cupboard

Nah, netflix is fine

"Hey google, continue watching community on netflix"

wintry hazel

forest edge

static schooner

they've also cleverly spread Ted Lasso out with an episode per week, milking the monthly subscription

forest edge

f paying for that lol

tidal bronze

@forest edge birds chirping in atmos?😆

forest edge
#

I would never ask quad for his plex access cause I know his library has got to be severely limited lol

#

wintry hazel
#

I use IPTV because my family has Foxtel GO and I can sync their paid foxtel channels into my EPG alongside the free to air ones and continue to yell at my TV to do anything I want

tidal bronze
#

You gotta have x.x.4. X.1 days are long gone.

forest edge
#

I set my mom up with youtube tv and she seems to like it but I would never put faith in iptv lol

wintry hazel
#

It works nice here

forest edge
#

I like to traditionally channel flip

wintry hazel
#

like I do have fibre to the premises, and am using a playlist that isn't officially supported by Freeview Australia so someone's actually working to keep it working; but still

#

you can channel flip using IPTV

forest edge
#

not really

wintry hazel
#

it literally feeds the playlist and EPG to the same live channels front-end for "smart" TVs

forest edge
#

it is not the same

wintry hazel
#

so you go up, down, or use the guide the same way

forest edge
#

it could never be the same

wintry hazel
#

how is it not the same?

forest edge
#

well delay is a big one

wintry hazel
#

what delay?

forest edge
#

you have a delay when switching channels

#

you also cannot fast flip

wintry hazel
#

I guarantee on modern equipment it's the same speed as your TV tuner takes

forest edge
#

i call bs on that

wintry hazel
#

call it all you want. it's a viable alternative

static schooner
#

my parents couldn't deal with anything other than a straight cable connection for the same reason

forest edge
#

not to mention most services you have to pick a channel from the guide menu

#

every aspect of iptv is slower, you can't turn off the tv and back on to the same channel, can't fast flip through channels

wintry hazel
#

I personally do. Frequently

static schooner
#

Home Assistant can fill some of those gaps - I can launch YTTV and switch to a specific channel

forest edge
#

network congestion causes pixelation

#

that is still slower rob lol

static schooner
#

it is, in part because YTTV has to launch, and that takes a few seconds on its own

#

but it emulates the old "turn on and TV starts playing" paradigm

wintry hazel
#

but that's an app, not feeding the stream straight to the TV's default live channels

forest edge
#

we had an old channel+ box that had streaming channels baked into exsisting channel line up

#

so as you flipped channels down to one of them it just started it's default stream

#

which is probably what you are talking about

#

it was still slow because when you switched onto it it still had to do the handshake etc bs

wintry hazel
#

If it doesn't work for you, you do you,

forest edge
#

till you have had both you don't really know

wintry hazel
#

I have

forest edge
#

hell I can tell the diffrence between flipping channels using todays cable box's in compared to when cable tv was actually handled by the tv's built in tuner

forest edge
#

that is old

wintry hazel
#

that's jerr-old

Does HA know how to handle its host (I run supervised) being on multiple VLANs at the same time? Or does it listen on all interfaces and just let the OS handle the routing etc. ?

What is the easiest way to feed all images into a batch process? I'd image I can "set" the scale and size in the very first image and store it. I'm guessing I'd have to do some segmentation and ROI-detection.

I'm fairly new to Python, but would welcome suggestions here, unless there's an easier way with ImageJ/Fiji or something similar?

Anyone owning a house and using solar panels around? I know that things are most likely different around the world, but from an end-user perspective, hvow did you find installation? Is it cost effective for you? How much did "cool tech" and/or "environment" come into play when you decided to install solar panels? Anyone with experience installing panels and then selling the house later on? If so, did that affect the sale process??
We are considering installing solar panels at the house, but here in Norway they are not very widespread yet, and I have no one to discuss with...

clever mortar
#

Interestingly they're now the default on new build houses in the UK

fallow fox
#

Really? Thats very cool! So, there has to be "money in it", for all involved parties I suppose?

clever mortar
#

There's quite a few new build estates going up around us, and every house (or at least apparently every house) has them fitted

#

I'm betting it's now law, to force people to be more green

#

The offputting thing for me personally is a combo of roof faces the wrong damn way and cost and disruption

#

Now, if we also got some Tesla style storage batteries, that's a different game, but that's another mark in the cost column

fallow fox
#

So cost... That means it takes a long time for you to pay down the panels?
Disruption, in the installation process or a more aesthetically perspective?

clever mortar
#

Well, getting enough panels fitted to make it worthwhile will be expensive, since our roof is pretty much East/West aligned

#

So, their efficiency is down, and any we fit will be producing power for less than half the day

#

And yes, the install process. I don't really care what the roof looks like - I don't see it from inside the house ablobjoy

fallow fox
#

Someone thinks of their neighbours! 😛

clever mortar
#

Eh.... given the stuff neighbours have in their gardens solar panels that were neon pink wouldn't be a talking point for that long

#

It will certainly reach a point where it's worth it, we may just have to be creative

#

The neighbour behind us just finished building a shed in their garden, so they can watch TV.... 😕

fallow fox
wet pilot
#

with global interest rates as low as they are right now, rolling the cost of the panels and the deployment into the new build process would probably see returns pretty quickly

fallow fox

Thats creative for you! 🙂

wet pilot

fallow fox

clever mortar
#

Heck, pretty soon they'll be only allowed to fit heat pumps (ASHP or GSHP) instead of gas boilers

wet pilot

heat pumps are pretty common states side. though you want the NG furnace for backup if it gets below freezing for long periods of time

wet pilot

fallow fox

clever mortar

Radiators or under floor heating, none of this heating/cooling by air convection

fallow fox
#

Just a bit hard to follow.... It so different to here...

wet pilot
#

ah gotcha. US its primarily ducted

clever mortar
#

Warm air heating systems are pretty dated nowadays but can still be found in some older homes. They effectively work like air conditioning in reverse – heating rather than cooling.
🤣

#

Says one UK source

fallow fox
#

I feel like we skipped a part somewhere along the evolution of modern heating technologies.... Sort went right from an open fire to electrical heaters.....

wet pilot
#

lol if its above freezing Heat Pumps are the most efficient form of heating

clever mortar
#

Heat pump + underfloor for heating and cooling

wet pilot
#

"take heat from outside, put it inside"

#

"but its really cold outside!" "not colder than refrigerant"

clever mortar
#

Also with GSHP you're taking it from somewhere that's not so cold as outside, probably

wet pilot
#

the only reason it loses efficiency below freezing is because the condenser wants to ice over and the system has to flip back to A/C mode for a bit to melt it all off

#

If the power goes out, then we have no power, even on sunny days.

#

I Googled gratuitously in all of them and got great feedback.

This 100F heat can suck it.. go away summer

@tidal bronzeyou sure do alot of thinking anymore

deft pewter
#

One of you has to

tidal bronze
#

I was thinking about all these fires and blah blah in Cali and you have 100 degree weather. Hmm

forest edge
#

oh you mean how's probably like closer to 200F around you?

#

are your poor lawn speakers melting?

tidal bronze
#

Sweet 85

forest edge
#

that where the needle melted?

tidal bronze
#

So it's 100F and humid in Kansas City huh 💩

forest edge
#

44% so not quite feeling like trying to breathe under the ocean yet but it still sucks

tidal bronze
#

It's been a toasty summer all across.

forest edge
#

all across? you bastards escape the shit you create because of how the wind blows from west to east

#

i am surprised there hasn't been talks of nuking your state yet just to elevate some of the problems you asshats bring onto the rest of us lol

deft pewter
#

Forecast here tomorrow is 86% humidity... can't remember the last time I saw a day under 80%.

#

It's not as hot here... but the humidity sucks.

tidal bronze
#

Just left east coast, yep it was shitty🤣

forest edge
#

yea east coast gets it from everyone west of them lol

#

friend in jersey bitches about 100F and 90% humidity all the time

#

like living in @dull chasm town

tidal bronze

Was 92 and freaking humid in NY, didn't even go outside for a smoke. Disaster

forest edge

sounds more like karma

tidal bronze

But then, they think it's a beautiful summer. SMH

may your flight home carry that enviroment with you back to your torched state

tidal bronze

forest edge

is that why you always drink? can't handle the reality of the environment of everywhere else beside your speaker infested home?

tidal bronze
#

Yep 💯

#

I try not to go anywhere in the summer but unfortunately work makes me. I see people in FL at a beach in the summer and want to file my teeth.

forest edge
#

on the beach isn't bad. the direct air from the ocean balances it out. it's just far away enough from the ocean where that wind is blocked it becomes a shit show

tidal bronze
#

Nope not in FL. It's a shitshow 24/7

forest edge
#

I didn't think it was too bad back in 2003 when I went to disney

well you were obviously born in a vacuum and your poor delicate skin can't handle the harsh environment of the outside cali planet

nope never been to the west coast at all

tidal bronze

We should revisit this after you do.

the grand canyon was as close as I got lol

tidal bronze

Ouch AZ

#

Once you get used to low humidity takes about month or two not to sweat like a nut job in most these other places.

forest edge

well you can get use to high humidity and not sweat as well lol

#

i doubt vasily is always looking like

tidal bronze

That's me always in east coast 😆

tidal bronze

tidal bronze
wintry hazel
#

Yeah, a lot of city planning used to involve concrete everything and only later did people figure out that big wind blocks and all hard surfaces basically bounce around and trap heat in the place you keep all your people

#

I don't know if it applies to your locality but I have found any places with more green stuff starts to feel better when subjected to similar weather conditions

tidal bronze
#

I doubt green solves humidity issue.

wintry hazel
#

I mean, if it gives it less reflected heat to imbue it with all of your problems

#

some places can have high humidity on a colder day and you'd be less inclined to hate it

forest edge
#

wind is key to humidity

wintry hazel
#

moisture too

forest edge
#

yea but hot and humid with no wind is fucking death. with wind you can actually bare it

tidal bronze
#

West coast solves all this. No need to scratch heads and run algorithms. It's crispy and fresh always. 😀

wintry hazel
#

apparently the humidity here atm is 69% and I had to tell you that so I could say "nice"

forest edge
tidal bronze
#

Isn't it too early to be thinking about poles 🤔

forest edge

I guess they have pipelines set up that commit from their account. That's one of the reasons stats like that aren't important.

It's not a sign that he's a good/regular contributor. Anyone could automate that shit.

Frenck, on the other hand... he's genuinely active. He has his hands in so many projects.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a solution for my wifi at home.
Currently in the process of getting (somewhat) enterprise grade hardware, esp for networking.
Gonna move my HA from my mini PC to a real server.

lament coral
clever mortar
#

Lots of factors at play. Budget. Property size. Requirements. Country...

lament coral
clever mortar
#

Do you want a single AP, multiple, mesh?

clever mortar
lament coral
clever mortar
#

@lament coral

#

@lament coral

#

@lament coral don't tag

#

@lament coral

#

@lament coral

#

@lament coral thanks

lament coral
#

Sorry

clever mortar
#

I continue to be shocked at how even the damn GIF doesn't make the point to people about that

#

So.... answers to the questions above ?

lament coral
#

12h of work today 😫 I know no excuse

clever mortar
#

Sucks to be you
😛

lament coral
#

I have a Maisonette. My Fritzbox, quite good router very popular in Germany.
But the connection In my bedroom is.. not good which is unacceptable. Also, the Fritzbox can't do VLANs which I want as I want to separate my smarthome stuff from my other stuff. Also want a guest Network etc

clever mortar
#

So, a single centrally located AP may well do you then

lament coral
#

Budget.. hard to say, I am not fixed, but under 1k€ would be cool. Doesn't have to be new either.

clever mortar
#

WiFi ... 5/6/6e/whatever?

lament coral
#

The AP is quite central. A second AP and the wifi coverage would solve the range Problem, but yeah, I wanna go a bit ham. Also to learn stuff.

#

WiFi version, does it even matter? I only have my phone and my notebook in the wifi and I am not pushing that much data. And of course my ESPs and yeelights.

#

My current router is running wifi 5 and it works quite well, so wifi 5 would be more than fine

#

I need a few switches.
At least one of them should be able to be rack mounted for my server cabinet.

#

But the others can be 8 ports desktop switches

subtle pasture
#

I'm running Cisco SG200, SG250, and SG300 series switches throughout the house, very happy with them

lament coral
#

Mikrotik Looks very appealing, especially price/"hardware value" wise

subtle pasture
#

How many ports you looking for on the larger switches?

lament coral
#

What are you using for wifi? Cisco APs?

subtle pasture
#

Aruba APs for WiFi

lament coral
#

Well, hard to tell. I will need like 10 for the start, but I want 24 ports at least.

#

Well, 24 ports should be enough for like forever

subtle pasture
clever mortar
#

24 ports suddenly get all filled 😄

lament coral
#

But maybe I want to do a Link Aggregation

subtle pasture
#

Worth a look. That's a fully managed L3 switch ^

lament coral
#

Thought so to, so if a 48 port isn't that more expensive

#

Can you centrally manage the WAPs

clever mortar
#

Cisco stuff is ... not terrible, but Mikrotik is good enough for home use (and some) and a lot cheaper 😛

subtle pasture
#

Is Mikrotik really cheaper?

bitter pawn
#

can be.

#

idk i buy most of my stuff used

subtle pasture
#

Also this ^

#

Most of my Cisco switches were bought on ebay for less than half their retail price

lament coral
#

If you buy new, Well, just look at their Website. You'd assume it is a bad joke

subtle pasture
#

The only one bought new was an SG250-10P, because that's a specialty part

bitter pawn
#

cisco stuff gets sold dirt cheap due to the firmware paywall

#

similar to the HP Gen9 stuff

subtle pasture
#

There's no firmware paywall on the SG series switches, actually

#

They're small-business, not enterprise

bitter pawn
#

ah there ya go

lament coral
#

I want to learn more about networking... And also get knowledge... Which I could use at work... No company uses mikrotik.

bitter pawn
#

that you know of.

lament coral
#

What do you use at home @bitter pawn ?

clever mortar
#

Then Cisco or Juniper are reasonable choices, though I'd personally go Cisco

bitter pawn
#

i have a pair of brocades at home

clever mortar
#

TBH, learn how networks work and then it's just implementation details

bitter pawn
#

its like what, 80% of servers are linux based right?

clever mortar
#

It's like learning to use another *nix flavour, not that hard once you learn one

bitter pawn
#

so you'd think that most server work you'd fine in a small-medium city would be linux right?

clever mortar
#

Windows

bitter pawn
#

at my last job it was only windows servers we were working on and installing

#

so its meh

lament coral
#

Well, I got more than the basics. But I kinda never had the chance to try stuff out.
My apprenticeship company didn't want seperated Networks. Boss knew everything better.
The job I worked before had its own network department
My current job has it sourced out lul

bitter pawn
#

my take is, learn on the stuff that will do what you want it to.

lament coral
#

And a consumer Router won't do that. Also non managed Switches won't do that.

bitter pawn
#

there are advantages to managed switches

#

no one is debating that

#

just brand preference is kinda meh

lament coral
#

Nothing against the Fritzbox. It is the best Router you can get in Germany.

clever mortar
#

I learned networking basics before I touched Cisco, having learned Cisco it was easy enough to manage Mikrotik and other brands

bitter pawn
#

because my brocade will route traffic similarly to that cisco, just like a zyxel. only difference is how you tell it to do it.

#

and with varying performance

subtle pasture
clever mortar
bitter pawn
#

nods

subtle pasture
#

Nobody wants to pay the premium for a Linux sysadmin. lol

bitter pawn
#

windows servers are evil.

#

but yeah linux sysadmins are more evil.

#

trololololololz xD

clever mortar
#

Yes, yes we are

lament coral
#

I really have to say, the way of ubiquiti is super sexy, if you get a dream machine you can manage |everything from one gui, but this is the easy mode.

clever mortar
#

If you want to learn how to drive networking kit, don't use the UIs

subtle pasture
#

I've had pushback just getting our engineers to embrace Windows Server Core, let alone Linux

#

And Server Core is actually pretty nice if you're comfortable with the command line

#

Or, hell, connect the management tools installs on a full-fat Windows install to your core instance. Boom, GUI management with no GUI on the server

#

Now, that said, I've been slowly replacing any server in our own internal infrastructure I can with RHEL. I call it "operation job security"

lament coral
#

I'd like to have a central solution to manage my wifi, that you can only find with ubiquiti, so I gave up on that. Also, I kinda have it, my opnsense

subtle pasture
#

@lament coral Check out Aruba IAP series WAPs

lament coral
#

@subtle pasture will do!

subtle pasture
#

They have an integrated controller, and will cluster together for high-availability of the controller

lament coral
#

How is it with AP "Roaming". I mean, every consumer brand offers those mesh stuff.
