Chrome's okay if you let the tabs sleep when they're inactive. I used The Great Suspender until that got marked as malware.

clever mortar
#

If you use tab groups apparently that does some magic, but I use Auto Tab Discard now for that

clear ferry
#

I just wish discord will release a proper cli client at some point ACOSP_chiyo_cry

#

I liked the one I tried

clear ferry
#

the latency difference between ipv4 and ipv6 is actually significant

#
20 packets transmitted, 20 received, 0% packet loss, time 19021ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 3.660/4.352/4.745/0.261 ms
20 packets transmitted, 20 received, 0% packet loss, time 19019ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 4.787/5.424/5.776/0.184 ms
#

v6 top, v4 bottom

last cedar
#

Of course ipv6 eill be slower

#

4 is bigger than 6

#

Ipv1 answers the request before you request it

clear ferry
#

but, v6 is faster

#

😄

#

you dolt

clever mortar
clear ferry
#

yes

#

This was just to a norwegian site

#

let me try INTERNATIONAL

#

google.com

20 packets transmitted, 20 received, 0% packet loss, time 19019ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 145.505/145.698/146.299/0.201 ms
21 packets transmitted, 20 received, 4.7619% packet loss, time 20071ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 138.028/138.487/138.991/0.307 ms
#

again ipv6 top, ipv4 bottom

#

so that is slower actually

#

but packetloss on ipv4

#

😄

clever mortar
#

If only I could get Windows to reliably get an IPv6 address 🤣

#

ISP does IPv6, every non Windows machine gets an IPv6 address. Windows ... maybe, but probably not

last cedar
#

I think I will give router an ipv6 address and just do ipv4 locally and add ipv6 when I have wraapped my head around it

clever mortar
#

I've had IPv6 at home on and off for ... a decade or so. Initially I used a tunnel broker for it, but now I have an ISP that does it natively

dusky plank
#

i have a vpn site which runs on v6, how would i go to run my own broker on it to get v6 on my site?

clear ferry
#

annoying that android doesn't support dhcpv6

which is the only thing my isp supports

#

hi guys i used to run deepstack in portainer.io with the plugin from HA and it was running fine, but now deepstack's log give me ERROR | 500 | . I have tried to reinstall a newer version of deepstack, but without success. Does someone have had the same issue?

@wooden gust Please DO NOT cross post. Read the channel description, post it and wait for folks to respond.

I remember I had to do some tricks with ipv6 on windows in 2001

subtle pasture
#

@last cedar I saw this and immediately thought of you xD

subtle pasture
#

Android is the one I have the most trouble with, because Google STILL hasn't implemented DHCP6 support...

#

I eventually set up hybrid DHCP6 + RA so Android devices would pick up v6 addresses at all, but they're literally the ONLY thing that needs RA on my network

Hello, I am new to DeepStack. Just get it worked couple days ago. Quick questions.

  1. Does anyone try to teach them to recognise the face?. Via command and submit to Deepstack instance?
  2. What's typical "confidence" number you guy set for person?. 50 or below?
last cedar
#

I have a lot of deepstack confirms in the 40s. Not really below that. Depends on how good the perspective of your camera is. I would say start it at 25% and go from there.

#

Other question, no idea.

clear ferry
#

@forest edge we have door to door sales people, but I can count on one hand how many come to my door every year

#

And the ones that do I just say no and close the door

last cedar
#

"hi atx I am here to give you 300million nok, do you want it"

#

"no"

clear ferry
#

If it is too good to be true, it is

glacial knot
#

couple a year? anything more than one every couple years is too much

clear ferry
#

I agree with this statement

#

I think we have had two so far this year

glacial knot
#

I think I've seen 2 in the last 10 ish years

#

part of that is probably German regulation
door2door is the same as online. And we get 14day revocation right. So there's no benefit to run over peoople and try to get them to sign anything.

clear ferry
#

Yeah, we have either 14 or 30 days revocation right for any sale , 30 for online sales

#

@forest edge usually broadband

glacial knot
#

14 is mandated here. But more and more stat to offer 30. Or longer for expensive stuff that's not mainly used for a couple days

forest edge
#

broadband? odd

#

we get local services like tree trimming, lawn mowing, pest control etc

clear ferry
#

That is how we build out fiber, isps go to every door, if 70% say yes they build fiber

forest edge
#

tree services are generally the worse cause it's usually some dude working alone

clear ferry
#

As such we have 90%+ fiber coverage

glacial knot
#

People here don't want fiber 🤦‍♂️

#

If someone knocked on my door, trying to sell a racoon, I would be all over it

clear ferry
#

What if it was a racoon with 500/500 uplinks?

forest edge
#

@last cedarjust be patient. there are already illegal raccoons in your country, you just gotta let them mass reproduce

subtle pasture
#

Are you using DHCP6, RA, or both?

low harness
#

...I see a raccoon and I think ”Home Assistant” now...

subtle pasture
#

I've got both deployed, and Windows defaults to DHCP6

clever mortar
#

RA I think, I'll have to check the router 😄

#

As I said though, it works, just not consistently, which is ... typical Windows really

#

Linux, FreeBSD, Android, iOS, all of those work just fine 😄

subtle pasture
#

100% consistently works here...

#

lol, Android had had broken IPv6 support for years. Still broken in 11...

#

They literally don't support half the spec

clever mortar
#

The joys of IT

#

Nope, DHCPv6 is enabled on the router

subtle pasture
#

Even if you give Android an IPv6 address with RA, there are issues, because RA often tells clients to check DHCP6 for additional options and settings... which Android ignores

#

if you root your phone, you can install a DHCP6 client and fix it, but Google just doesn't seem to give a single shit

clever mortar
#

Hmmmm, thank you FritzBox... DHCPv6 is active, but only gives DNS servers. RA is used for IP allocation 🤔 shrug

subtle pasture
#

Need to pin an Android phone to a single address? Sucks to be you...

#

A lot of enterprise environments basically just tell Android to go fuck itself and force all Android devices to run IPv4

low harness
#

Oh, that's nice. After five days of non-stop simulations my computers memory was all kinds of messed up, so I decided it was time for a reboot before leaving it yesterday.

#

Apparently that reboot was of the wrong color or something for the new software being installed which had been pestering me for a reboot for the last two days.

#

You got to love Windows.

you install it on an ipad like you install any other piece of software on an ipad

so If I say it like this, I have about 8 valid windows 10 pro keys, no funny business, all legal

I have a legit key for my PC. I got so fed up with their broken DRM that I used a crack instead.

I can appreciate trying to protect your sales. Some businesses take it way too far where it's so difficult to be a paying customer that they're actually the ones pushing people to piracy.

hearty depot

or in my case away

last cedar

If they took 30 euro for a key instead of 230 euro, I think people would be less likely to pirate stuff

I sympathise Mono, my experience to this point has been better than that though, I did a major hardware swap now so that I can get

Actually I have a question about that

#

Why is American Internet so expensive, like £110 per month for like 100mb

deft pewter

Monopolies.

#

The big providers buy out entire cities and stifle competition. They get to name their price.

deft pewter
