I built one for my X1C and integrated it with Home Assistant to use the Bambu integration for setting the temperature based on filament type. It works really well and helps with warping. It's not quite that simple unless you're doing full DIY. Most companies won't add panels to an existing system and the inverter is sized for your existing system

Doing full DIY, using micro inverters. One per panel. String inverter isn't viable for this house anyway, we have a bunch of different size runs that'd be used.

This is a shitty north-aligned overhead view. If you can make sense of it, you'll notice there are a -lot- of different length roof sections facing east, west, and south.

So basically I pay a bit more per panel, but the micro inverters apparently generally have better longevity than string inverters, so I make that cost up over time, and as a bonus I get per-panel diagnostics and can literally expand one panel at a time.

Would you have any issues with shading (big trees that block a section of the roof at a time, or anything like that?). Apparently another thing microinverters are good for, stops one under-performing panel affecting the entire string

that pack I pulled open recently is to convert a smaller hybrid inverter to replace an old server backlup power supply

because it didnt like them

so.. mfr makes two different battery lines it seems.. one for individual protected batteries for drop in stuff

and other is one that works with the inverter.

we already have 4x of this kind.. so I'm just stripping out the batteries and re-wiring them with a compatible BMS from aliexpress.. 🤣

So the story goes anyway, it's needing 2 slots that stopped the strix halo platform having lpcamm2. It uses 256-bit RAM and they're 128 each, so 2 is a requirement (where on other platforms one module is covering "2 channels"). But timings/stability intervened, apparently.
